Chapter 3: Relief
Espeon decided to go for it. She used psychic to remove the window with caution. She placed it on the grassy fields and jumped outside. She finally got a sniff of freedom for once and released her stress through her own two nostrils. She ran like a Rattata into the shiny city with all the lights at night. She couldn't wait to talk to the only two Pokemon that truly understood her.
The City was so bright with numerous of Toros and other Pokemon running up and down the streets. The smoothie shop had a smoothie icon that was bigger and flashier then any other shop in the city, always attracting both eyes. Espeon looked inside and saw Raichu and Moon sitting down, laughing. Espeon entered the shop, with the bell ringing signaling the employees a customer just entered.
"See Raichu I told you she would come." Moon said with a smile.
"Yeah I'm here." Exclaimed Espeon. Moon could only notice bruises around Espeon with one even being bigger then her eye.
"Espeon, what happened to you. You look… Injured. You didn't get mugged outside did you?" Espeon was so excited to come along that she forgot to heal herself before she entered the smoothie shop. Now she had bruises on her that made her the center of attention.
"I fell down…" The two Pokemon stared at Espeon instantly knowing she wasn't telling the truth. "Can we please not talk about it."Espeon said in a depressed tone looking at the floor.
"Alright, so what do you want to get, me and Raichu are getting Leppa berry flavored."
"I want an Oran Berry smoothie." Moon jumped off the seat and went to order leaving Raichu and Espeon alone. Espeon couldn't think of a conversation to start Raichu off. It was almost awkward to her, as if he was sinister.
"Is something happening that we don't know." Raichu asked.
"What do you mean?" Espeon mumbled.
"You have bruises all over your body. I know for a fact that you didn't get them from falling." Espeon was silenced and didn't know how to respond.
"Well… can we talk about this later." Raichu didn't respond, but he pulled out a full heal.
"Use this I found it on the street. We don't want to look like abusers."
"Thanks." Espeon responded.
"Anytime." Raichu said with a chuckle at the end. Raichu pulled Espeon closer to his body. His hands felt like a pillow. Espeon didn't want to sleep, but she couldn't resist. His gentle electrified body was soothing and smooth. She closed her eyes, only to see Raichu staring at her with a grin, in what seemed his room. He began to grab her, but she woke up to Moon shaking her.
"Finally you woke up I thought you were gone." Moon chuckled.
"I'm sorry, but Raichu…felt like a pillow." The dream she just had must've been a phony and not this Raichu, not the sweet one.
"I didn't even know she fell asleep."
"Well the smoothies are here and I'm glad you healed Espeon up. That Pokemon was getting very suspicious."
"Yeah, so can we begin?" Questioned Raichu.
"Sure." Responded Moon. They began to drink the smoothies until there were no more berry flavored smoothies left.
"Alright, I'm going to pay." Said Espeon.
"I already did for the three of us." Espeon looked at Moon and stared deeply into his eyes. This was like a gift from Arceus, this gift was to good to be true. Nobody was ever so nice to her like this. Moon, Raichu, and Espeon were laughing until the ground shook.
The trio stopped at their current conversation to only see out a window many break open, along with screams from many terrified Pokemon . "Oh no, we better get out of here." The trio went outside to only see a Deoxys and Mewtwo fighting in the sky. Many projectiles were flying into building destroying many homes and families.
"Alright, I have to go home see you two later. My parents must be worried." Raichu ran away before he got hit by any projectile. Moon and Espeon ran towards their home. So many craters were being formed in the street and sidewalks making it hard to run. They kept falling in craters. Moon fell over tired of all the running, but Espeon used her Physic to lift him up and move away from an incoming projectile. "Thanks." Moon said while running ahead, but Epson's speed wasn't as great as Moons. Espeon stopped to catch her breath, but she eventually fell down all tuckered out. Suddenly a Hyper beam was heading her way. Moon turned around and immediately took it. He took all the damage from the hyper beam, while pushing Espeon successfully. Espeon regained her breath and noticed Moon's lifeless body on the ground. She ran towards it as fast as she could even if she was about to die.
"Moon wake up there is still projectiles being thrown around us." Moon only moved his right leg. Espeon carried him to a nearby Pokemon Center and dropped him off there. Luckily it was damaged and mostly everyone in the city was there. There was a line, so she shoved ahead and dropped Moon. She knew time was going to be a problem and she fought it.
Espeon couldn't wait here any longer so she ran off home. She entered her home the same way she left. She put her window up as if she never left or removed it. All this was her fault she can't even enjoy one day without something going wrong.
"So how was your trip?" Umbreon said in a snob look on his face. Espeon didn't even notice him standing in the door.
"Just leave me alone." Espeon cried as Umbreon left the room humming. After a couple of hours of being in shock of what happened. Sceptile walked in.
"So I heard you went somewhere without our permission. In fact, it got somebody hurt." Espeon didn't know how to respond to such a straight forward question.
"It just that… well he invited me."
"Espeon I'm getting tired of this all the trouble you cause, it's making me grow more impatience with you." Espeon began to tear up and enter a fury.
"Do it mother fucker, hurt me all you want, you are the worst man I ever met." Sceptile chuckled and shook his head… sideways. Sceptile grabbed Espeon by the neck and used Mega Drain. Espeon began to feel weaker. Sceptile stared at her with furious eyes, while Espeon did the same. Grovly then dragged Espeon outside.
"Alright now me, you and your mother are going to visit that Umbreon in the hospital. Umbreon is going as well so behave, the both of you brats. 'No it can't believe I have to go to the hospital for Moon, this is all my fault if he dies, I'll be traumatized.' Espeon thought to herself.
The whole family arrived at the Poke center. Sceptile and Moon's dad, Flareon, discussed the situation. As for Umbreon and Espeon they entered the room with Moon. Raichu was there with him supporting him. Umbreon sat close to the door pretending to ignore them, but it was an act. Moon noticed Espeon and smiled.
"Hey Moon, sorry for getting you involved in this mess."
"It's no problem, the Chansey says I'll be ready by tomorrow or not. It was the hyper beam that made me get knocked out. Besides you saved my life."
"But you're in a hospital, because of me." Moon could only smile at Espeon and he tried to move his hand, but it fell on the side of the bed. Umbreon could only move his head to see Espeon looking pale like she was losing her bright pink color. Espeon didn't notice it, but the mega drain really did some damage on her.
"Espeon you look pale, are you alright." Espeon knew she couldn't say anything, or she would be in real hot water. Espeon only nodded, she tried to change the subject, something not to suspicious.
"Moon tomorrow is my birthday, I was hoping you would come." Espeon looked at the ground.
"Of course I'll make it, even if I'm hurt." Espeon felt more relaxed until her father called her in. Umbreon smiled as he left, even thought he knew very little about Moon, it was enough to torture her sister. Espeon waved at her friends and part with a smile as she knew this was like heaven to her, but it was time to go to hell with the devil waiting for her. The whole family went back home with Sceptile being the most impatient and furious. As they entered the home Sceptile grabbed Espeon.
"Listen brat, all because of you leaving the home without our permission, we know are in debt with the Pokemon Center. We will never pay all because of you." Sceptile used leaf blade on Espeon's stomach, causing an enormous cut with blood dripping. Sceptile tossed Espeon and her room and locked it from the outside. Espeon was trapped inside her room to her disgrace. She can't even meet friends without getting in trouble. The only thing keeping her going was the thought of meeting Moon tomorrow for her birthday, but she wasn't going to have a birthday, her parents are concentrated on other things then their own daughter. 'If only they paid attention to me' Espeon fought to her self.
Eventually her blanket was blood red and felt very uncomfortable.
"Oh Arceus why do I suffer so much in my life." Espeon grabbed the nearest pencil near her and stabbed her self multiple times on the arms and back. "IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT YOU FUCKING BASTARD TO SEE ME SUFFER, NOBODY IS GOING THROUGH THIS PAIN, BUT ME I FUCKING HAD ENOUGH." Espeon yelled as she dropped down her pencil. Her teeth were grinding against each other. Sure some led was stuck in her body, but it didn't matter anymore. Espeon was lucky her parents were far enough to not hear except for Umbreon who was laughing at her, planning away for tomorrow. Espeon went to her usual resting pose and fell asleep again hoping tomorrow was less stressful.
The next morning as she suspected she saw no one at the door wishing her a happy birthday. She removed the blanket to see no one, the house was empty. She looked at living room clock. It was 3:00 pm, she overslept. A loud knocking was heard, very rough as if they have been knocking for a while. Espeon opened to see Moon. He was smiling.
"You made it to my birthday." Moon nodded and smirked.
"Of course I did, but where is your family or are you too much of an annoyance to even keep them around." Moon taunted. Espeon, confused and angered, looked at Moon.
"What's wrong with you?" Espeon asked
"Everything my life is going to be over soon, thanks to you, I just came here to give you a death wish, but I see you already have marks." Espeon began to tear up, all her fault she thought and now she suffers the consequences. "Happy birthday, me and Raichu are going to play Frisbee, without you. At least there I will be happy with someone when I die, unlike you. You disgust me, I'm going to die because of you. I never should have helped you in the park or invited you. You're worthless and don't come to my funeral." Moon slapped Espeon across the face making her fall down on her right side. Espeon was too shocked to respond, but she closed the door.
Espeon couldn't believe what she just saw, all turned over in one mistake. She had enough not even Moon was being nice. Everyone has betrayed her, she heard the knocking again.
"GET THE FUCK OUT MOON, I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU EVER AGAIN!" Espeon searched every where for it, she couldn't find it. The item of sweet relief, she had to find it and use it to end the pain.
"Espeon, I'm sorry this is your brother Umbreon, not Moon." Umbreon said after laugh and getting impatient of standing in the heat. Suddenly, Moon came and saw Umbreon at the door.
"So you are Espeon's little brother, huh?" Umbreon only turned around to see a chuckling Moon.
"Yeah what gives." Moon only nodded to see how he was outside.
"Is she inside?" Umbreon nodded. Moon noticed the collar on his neck and started to get even more suspicious about Espeon's family. "So how did you get that collar, they aren't cheap." Umbreon was not suspecting that type of questions since this collar was made cheaply.
"I found it."
"Interesting." The two Umbreons chatted for a while until the parents got home. Without questioning Moon, Sceptile opened the door, almost kicking Moon on purpose as if he was an enemy he tried to hide. Sylveon let him enter. "So where is Espeon?"
"In her room." Sylveon said straight forward and angrily. Moon started to feel unsafe in this household even thought he just met them. He went to Espeon's room to only see it locked. He kept knocking on the door, but no response. He continued knocking until Sylveon came. "You are making so much noise young man." Moon began to notice everyone in the house acting unusual, angered. Sure it was their first time meeting, but they don't treat him like a guest. Sylveon tried to knock, but no response. Sceptile came by and knocked.
"Espeon come out, we want to talk." No response. The angered Sceptile knocked down the door. His eyes widened at what he saw. Espeon was hanging herself from the ceiling. Her whole body was lifeless, pale, and filled with cuts. "Espeon, what happened." Sylveon couldn't get the words out of her mouth. Moon only backed away knowing this family wasn't right for him or her dead friend.
"I fucking knew it." Moon said as he left.
Umbreon then entered with tears in his face. He couldn't believe what he was witnessing, her sister dead hanging from a ceiling. All because of him and his stupid immature self.
"Espeon, I'm sorry for what I did alright, I'm so fucking sorry." Sceptile looked at Umbreon and grabbed him for a change.
"What do you mean what you did, is this your fault." Umbreon nodded to only get sipped by Sceptile. Umbreon ran to his room and began to tear up with his new cuts. The house suddenly went from red to blue with tears falling out of everyone, except for Espeon who had reached sweet relief. She was swinging left and right each time getting slower, but the noise getting louder.
Just because it's a sad ending, doesn't mean it is over.
