I'm back on mandatory temporary rest due to my knee swelling again, so I decided to get some writing done.

''Okay, I think that's everything.'' Severus said as he finished packing their things. Hermione and Nicholas were being released this morning, and he was gathering their things while Hermione changed Nicholas into his going home outfit.

''Did you remember the teddy bear Parvati sent us?'' Hermione looked as she finished buttoning the green and white onesie she put Nicholas into.

''Yes. And I'm sure I got eveything else.'' Severus nodded. ''Are we almost ready to go?''

''Uh..yeah. I just gotta put his booties on. Could you bring over the carrier?'' she asked. As Severus brought over the carrier, she gently picked Nicholas up and cooed at him. ''Are you ready to go home, little man? Go see Nana and Poppy?''

Severus chuckled as she strapped him in. ''I can't wait to see Lucius' face when you call him Poppy.'' he said, picking up her bag.

''Well, he can deal with it. Besides, he already vetoed Grandpa.'' Hermione said. ''Let's go home.'' she said, picking up the carrier.

Severus placed his hand on her lower back and walked beside her. ''Yes, let's.'' he said.

''There's Nana's baby boy!'' Helena said as the three stepped out of the floo. ''Let me see him.'' she said, smiling so big Hermione was surprised if her jaw didn't hurt later.

''Hello to you, too, mum.'' Hermione said as she set the carrier down on the sofa and opened the cover. ''You wanna say hi to Nana?'' she cooed to Nicholas as she handed him to her mother.

''Goodness. I think you're more adorable than you were yesterday, yes I do.'' Helena said to Nicholas as she gently swayed from side to side. ''Come along. Everyone's in the dining room finishing up breakfast.'' she said. ''If you're hungry, i'm sure Mitzy could whip you up something.''

''Thank you, Helena, but I brought Hermione breakfast this morning from that bakery she likes.'' Severus said, wrapping his arm around his wife's waist and ushering her forward.

''Yeah, I'll wait til lunch.'' Hermione nodded.

''Look who's here!'' Helena announced, making Hermione glad Nicholas was already awake. The volume of her mum's voice surely would've woken him.

''Good morning, everyone.'' Hermione smiled, taking a seat beside Lucius.

''How are you feeling, love?'' Lucius asked.

''Fine. Still a little sore, but fine.'' Hermione smiled, pouring herself a cup of tea.

''So,'' he sighed, ''what have you decided to call me?'' he asked, raising his eyebrow. ''And no, not Grandpa. I'm too young to be a 'Grandpa'.''

Hermione laughed. ''Ok, no Grandpa.'' she said. ''How about Poppy?''

Lucius smirked for a moment before a full blown smile took over. ''I can live with Poppy.'' he said, giving her a one armed hug. He stood up and walked over to where all the women were gathered around Helena, who was holding Nicholas. He stood for a moment and said something to Helena, who reluctantly handed him the baby. Lucius gazed down at Nicholas with pure love in his eyes. Hermione watched him for a few moments, committing that look to memory as her eyes got misty.

After lunch had been served, the large family gathered in the living room. They were finally going to have Christmas. Hermione smiled as all the kids giggled as they found a spot, each wanting to be as close as possible to the tree. She looked down at Nicholas, who had gone back to sleep. Leaning over a bit, she asked Severus in a whisper, ''Is he here yet?''

Severus shook his head. ''He'll be here in about half an hour.'' he said. He couldn't wait to see Potter's face when his surprise finally got here. He was hoping to have his surprise here sooner, but had run into a couple minor problems.

''Good.'' Hermione breathed. ''It's been a long seven months, and if he isn't here today, I'll kill him again.'' she said, scowling.

''Aunt Miney?''

Hermione looked up, seeing Roman, Fred and Katie's daughter, standing in front of her. ''Yes, sweetie?''

''Fank you for my doll.'' she said, smiling at Hermione.

''You're welcome. Do you like her?''

Roman nodded. ''Ah huh. She looks like mummy.''

Hermione smiled. ''She does, doesn't she?'' she asked. ''What are you gonna name her?''

Roman looked at Hermione for a second before smiling. ''Mummy.''

Hermione smiled, trying not to laugh. ''That's a great name, Roman.'' she said to the three year old. Looking up, she saw Katie trying to get her attention. ''I think your mummy wants you, sweetie.'' she said, laughing as the little girl ran back to her mum.

''Awesome!'' Teddy yelled. ''Thanks, Aunt Mione!'' he smiled, holding up the art set she and Severus had bought him.

Mitzy popped in, making Hermione smile at her appearance. The elf was wearing a dress made from a white tea towel that had a red poinsettia on the front and a santa hat. ''Scuze me, Missy Hermininny, but there's a man here askin for yous.''

Hermione smiled. ''Hang on a second, Mitzy.'' she said. Handing Nicholas to Severus, she whispered in his ear, ''He's here.'' before getting up and following the small elf into the kitchen. Smiling, she ran to hug the man standing at the counter drinking a cup of coffee. ''Oh, I can't believe you're finally here!'' she said, barely withholding a squeal.

The man laughed deeply. ''Hello, kitten.'' he said, squeezing her. ''You look great for a woman who literally just gave birth.'' he said, his eyes sparkling.

''Thank you. Wait until you meet Nicholas. He's he spitting image of his daddy.'' Hermione said. ''Well, with my nose, at least.'' she added.

''Thank Merlin for small mercies.'' he said, earning a slap to the chest from Hermione. ''Is Harry here?'' he asked, almost nervously.

''Yes.'' she nodded. ''He's here. Along with ALL the Weasley's, Remus and Dora, and Severus' mum, Eileen.''

''Full house, then?'' he asked. ''Maybe it'd be better if I waited until..''

''Nonsense. I haven't seen you in almost a year, and I know mum's looking forward to making sure she helps Molly fatten you up.'' Hermione said. ''Plus, Andromeda's here, and I know she's missed you. Not to mention you have to meet Nicholas.'' she said, smiling.

''Well, alright. You know I can't say no to Molly's cooking.'' he said.

''Now, just stand behind the door until I signal you to come out.'' she said, walking back toward the living room.

''You got it, kitten.'' the man said, following her as far as the door and standing to the side, out of view.

Hermione cleared her throat as she walked back into the living room. Giving Severus a small nod, she turned to face Harry.

''We saved the last present for you, Harry. We tried to get this back when you came home, as a welcome back present. Well, once we were all sure we were glad to have you back, and that you were staying, that is. But, after seven years, seven months didn't seem like that long to wait. So, Harry, Merry Christmas from all of us.'' she said, moving out of the way as the man in the kitchen stepped out from behind the door.

''Hello, pup.'' he said.

Harry stood up slowly and took a few shaky steps forward. His eyes were as big as saucers, and he was breathing in gasps.

''Sirius?'' he whispered, just before he slumped to the floor in a dead faint.

Hermione frowned. ''Huh. Really should've seen that coming.'' she said.
