'I need to leave.' Chin thought

as he got through the doors of the office. He looked at Steve, he was staring at Kono's office. He wondered if he remembered something that happened between he and Kono.

Chin was at the parking lot. He went to his car and got it started and drove to the road thinking about Kono. Why wouldn't she tell him? Why did she hide things from him and why does the governor want her back? So many questions and no answers.

Steve's POV:

Thank god he left. Steve loved Chin but it was too much to handle. First Cath and Steve broke up because of Kono, now he hears that he knew Kono when they were young. He needed to get away. To the ocean.

He didn't know he was staring at her office. He stood up and got his keys and left the HQ. He got to his car and drove to the beach, and while he was driving he was processing everything. He got out of his car and walked to ocean, he sat as close to the ocean as he could.

He sat down and let out a breath he didn't realize he had been holding. He looked straight at the ocean, just staring idly. He was thinking that he loved Kono... Right? She was one of his best friends. She got him and who he was and she was actually like him. But why did she lie? He needed to call the governor. He picked his phone out of his pocket and he dialed the governor's number.

Steve greeted by saying, "Governor."

"McGarrett." The governor replied.

"Governor, you've not finished your story about Kono. I'm guessing you'll be there in the morning?" Said Steve.

"McGarrett, you don't dare raise your voice at me and tell me what to do, do you understand?" The governor snapped at him.

"Governor, you're hiding things and we all deserve to know what they are." Said Steve calmly.

"I get that steve but you're still working for me. I hope I make myself clear. And tomorrow morning I'll be there around 5:30." Said the governor sadly.

"Good, and governor, you made yourself clear, but you don't have the right to hide things from me and my team when it's concerning the team. See you in the morning." Steve said, and with that he hung up.

He kept staring at the ocean and he just let the view and the wind take his mind and body away from all his problems.

After an hour of being away. Six hours and thirty minutes left. He stood up walked to his car and drove to his house. Once he was inside he made a beeline for the couch. When he reached the couch, he looked at the clock. It was one o'clock in the morning. He sat down on his couch and let the sleep encompass him.

He woke up around five o'clock in the morning. Two hours and thirty minutes left. He texted Danny and Chin to meet him at the office in 20 minutes.

He stood up from the couch, looked through his window straight to the ocean and went to his kitchen to grab a glass with orange juice and went to get ready.

Chin's POV:

He got home and went to his room where Malia was sleeping. He went to his side of the bed and took off his shoes. Malia was at his side in an instant. He smiled to himself, and he put his arm around Malia and hugged her tightly against his body, and kissed the top of her head. He looked at her for a minute, which made him think about what he did to Kono. Not that he regretted that he chose Malia instead of Kono, because she understood it, no matter how reluctantly. But he could see the hurt in her eyes, every time she saw Malia. It killed him that he caused her that pain.

He needed her in his life, she was a big part of his life. The team needed her, Chin needed her. She was Kono. Kono needs them, whether she realizes that or not. She didn't belong to Adam, she deserved better. A lot.

Chin lay back beside Malia and fell asleep with the love of his life held gently in his arms. Suddenly, he was woken up by a text from Steve.

He got up gently, without waking Malia, and took a shower. He was done within 10 minutes.

He kissed Malia on the top of her head. And went to his car and drove to HQ.

Anonymous POV:

Steve was waiting in his office for Danny and Chin. He looked up and he saw Danny walking in. Steve got out of his office walked to Danny.

Danny saw Steve sitting in his office when he came in, and he saw how tired and restless steve looked. Steve saw exactly the same expression on Danny. They didn't have much time to talk because Chin walked in a minute later.

They all looked at each, seeing each other together... realizing how much the entire situation involved them.

"Hey," Steve said, tiredly and with a slight hint of sadness

"Hey," said Chin and Danny at the same time, and with the same monotonous tone.

"So, when is the governor coming?" Danny asked.

"She said she'll be here at 5.30... ten minutes left." Steve said.

"And two hours and ten minutes left for Kono call." Chin added.

After just ten minutes of silence, they were all lost in their own thoughts. Then, they heard footsteps. When they looked up they saw the governor. They all walked to Steve's office, starting where they left off. The governor took her seat and looked at them, not really wanting to share the story.

Chin got the feeling that she didn't want to tell it. "You left before telling us why Steve's dad didn't want Kono to help him." Chin said.

"Right..." The governor began. "So, after a month of searching we still didn't find anyone, except Kono. So, I offered to help and your dad didn't want to. The protection we needn't was from Hiro noshimuri because the man was close to Wo Fat. But your dad really didn't want Kono in it.

And then after a week, Hiro disappeared, and we had reason to believe that he was taken by Wo Fat. So, after a year we found out that his son, Adam, had maybe taken over. And after you guys stole money for Chin, I called her up without anybody knowing this. When she came in to the office I told her about the Noshimuri and we made a deal... I wouldn't fire her and she wouldn't tell anybody anything and she would go undercover for me. The undercover was that she would get to Adam and she would get evidence. So, I could get the Noshimuri down. But Fryer found out about our deal and blackmailed us. If I didn't agree with his ultimatum, he would make sure that Five-0 wouldn't exist and Danny wouldn't get Grace as custody and Chin would be charged with stealing the money they say you did. Kono did the undercover and when she was done she was told and she got angry because she knew that I let her take the fall." The boys looked very unhappy with that. "I hadn't had a choice, it was either I let her take the fall or Fryer would go public and we would lose Adam, and questions would be asked that there are no answers for. I had no choice." She saw that they were going to comment so she continued her story before they could.

"After our discussion, she continued with the mission but she got careless. So I sent someone to see what was going on, one of his guards was a security guard of mine who was getting paid to give him information. Only Kono didn't know, the guy found out that she was in love with him and she wasn't thinking clear. I had to cut her off only she didn't want to back off. She convinced me that she wasn't in love with him and it was an act. She kept keeping me updated while working on Five-0. But things change, and she wanted to tell you guys she was undercover. I didn't let her and I said that if she did tell you guys, she would get taken off the case.

Then Micheal came and that's when Kono found things out. Michael was in prison because Adam set him up. When Hiro disappeared and was declared dead, Michael and Adam both got his company and his money. Micheal wanted their dad's business to change himself into something good, and Adam wanted to follow his dad's footsteps. When Michael found out he threatened to go to the police, and the next day they found every bit of evidence in Michael's office, and he got three years in prison. When he got out, he was told that Kono was helping Adam. And when she wanted to talk to him it was too late, he had stolen her gun and shot four guys of Adam's Yakuza. Since Adam put Micheal in jail, the Yakuza has been split in two group. When Micheal killed four of Adam's Yakuza, Kono had at that point copied Adam's phone, and Adam knew that Kono had done it. Adam called Koji's sons, his nephews, to meet him in a warehouse. Kono went there, but it was a trap... they were expecting her."

She paused and took a breath. "But when she got shot and she was brought to the hospital, I called her and she said she wanted to go on with the mission, but she didn't know that Adam knew about her. One of Michael's men came to Kono and she explained. The man went to Michael and when Michael found out he went to Adam and something happened. Adam shot Michael and my informer, but he ran and a day later he was found in a hospital in a coma. When the man who told Michael about Kono, he went to back up Michael but when he came in later he saw Michael dead and went to Japan where the other Yakuza were hiding from Michael, when they found out that Kono had gone with Adam. They called me, and that's why I need her back."

All boys were upset but didn't have time to argue, because they were expecting a call from Kono.
