AN: I don't own Harry Potter. Wish I did, but I don't.

Thank you for the reviews, follows and faves. It really means a lot that so many of you enjoy this.

This is only the first part of the memory chapter. Try as I might, I couldn't write Hermione and Severus' wedding in just the one chapter. I wanted to, but didn't feel I would do it justice if I rushed it, or if I went on and on.

Alright, my lovelies! Go! Read and enjoy!

"Oh! These are adorable!" Hermione exclaimed as she opened the bag Helena handed her. "Where did you get these?" she asked, holding up one of the binkies she pulled out. There was a whole assortment of baby binkies in the bag that were blue and white with various writings on them.

Helena smiled as she sat in one of the chairs across from her daughter. "Lucius actually found them at this little boutique in London last week, and he took me there yesterday so I could get the ones I thought you'd like." she said.

Hermione laughed as she pulled out one that said 'Little Man' on it. "This one is perfect for Nicholas." she said.

"Would you like some lunch, sweetheart?" Helena asked as she looked at her watch.

Hermione shook her head. "Not right now, thanks. I might pop down and see if the boys have left my wedding yet or not." she said, setting the bag on the floor next to her handbag. "Severus and Nicholas should be here in a bit." she added as she walked out of the living room.

"Alright, dear." Helena called after her.

Meanwhile, Harry and Ron were down in the basement bent over the pensieve, watching as their best friend married their former professor.

Harry and Ron looked around the room they had landed in. They were obviously in an unused classroom somewhere in Hogwarts. The desks had been removed, as had all things relating to a classroom, except the blackboard, which had the words 'Mrs. Snape' written on it. Instead, it had been decorated as a sitting room with three cream colored sofas and chairs, a plush cream rug, a black coffee table and end tables, and a gorgeous chandelier hanging from the ceiling. There was also a sliding room divider towards the back of the room, creating two rooms.

"You're sure you've seen him?" Hermione's voice asked from behind the screen.

Helena sighed from her seat on one of the sofas. "Yes, Hermione." she said, smiling at Molly who was seated on another of the sofas. "He's in his room getting ready with Lucius and Remus." she said.

"Ow, Ginny! Not so freakin' hard!" Hermione yelled.

"Sorry." Ginny said. "It's not my fault your hair doesn't want to cooperate." she said.

"Are any of the guests here yet?" Hermione asked. "Ow!"

"Yes. And before you ask, nobody has been in the Great Hall yet." Helena said, sipping her champagne with a smile towards Molly.

"Okay. And the caterer delivered the cake...Ow!...right?" Hermione asked.

"Hermione, everything is being done the way it's supposed to, and everybody is where they're supposed to be or not be." Helena said. "Now relax, please."

"I'm trying, mum! I just want my wedding day to be perfect." Hermione said. "I only plan on doing this this one time, you know." she said with a yelp at the end of her sentence. "Okay, now you're just doing it on purpose." she said.

Ginny giggled a bit. "Sorry." she said. "There. I'm finished." she added.

"Oh, Ginny! It's gorgeous!" Hermione exclaimed. "Alright, help me get my dress on, would you?" she asked.

"Sure." Ginny said. "Ouch! Son of a...that hurt." she whined.

"Sorry about that." Hermione said. "Okay, grab here and try not to bleed on me, huh."

"Why did you have to have so many diamonds, anyway? What was wrong with the dress with the beads instead?" Ginny asked.

"I preferred this one, thank you." Hermione said with a grunt. "Okay, I'll hold it up if you'll do up the buttons." she said.

"Sure." Ginny said. "Hold still, Hermione!" she exclaimed.

"I'm trying, but it's not easy." Hermione said.

"Well, try." Ginny said. "And...we...are done." she said, as she obviously finished with the last three buttons. "Oh, Hermione." she gasped.

"No, no, please don't cry. If you start crying, then I'll start and ruin my makeup!" she said in a thick voice.

"Sorry, Hermione, but you look...you look so beautiful." Ginny sniffed. Clearing her throat, she said, "Alright, it's time to show you off." she said.

The screen was pushed to the side and Ginny stepped out. She was wearing a floor length strapless navy blue gown, her red hair pulled back into a chignon. Ron smiled sadly, never having seen his baby sister look so beautiful or grown up.

"May I present the bride, Miss Hermione Granger soon-to-be Snape." she said.

Harry and Ron froze upon seeing Hermione as she stepped out from behind the screen. Both would never admit out loud, but tears formed at seeing their best friend in her wedding gown.

Hermione was wearing a satin snow white strapless mermaid style dress. From the sweetheart neckline to the waist was covered in diamonds in a very intricate swirl pattern. It flared out a bit just below her knees before falling to the floor and had a small train behind her. Her hair had been straightened and pulled back into a very elegant looking high bun with a tiara in front of it and a long lacy veil pinned underneath it. She was wearing a diamond heart shaped necklace and a pair of diamond teardrop earrings. She also wore a light layer of makeup that enhanced, but didn't cover, her natural beauty.

Helena and Molly gasped as Hermione stood in front of them. They stood from their seats and walked over to her. Helena covered her mouth with her hand as she stood in front of her daughter.

"Oh, Hermione." she breathed. "You look...you're so beautiful, love." she smiled with a quivering lip as she hugged her.

"Helena's right, Hermione." Molly smiled. "You're going to knock his socks off when Severus sees you walk down the aisle." she said as she, too, teared up.

"Thanks." Hermione said with a thick voice.

"None of that." Minerva said as she entered the room. "No crying, Hermione." she said as she stopped in front of her.

Hermione chuckled. "I'm trying not to, Minerva." she said.

Minerva sighed as she looked at her former student. "You are the most beautiful bride I think I've ever seen, Hermione." she said with a smile.

"Thank you, Minerva." Hermione smiled. "Gin, would you bring my shoes over and help me get the straps fastened, please?" she asked.

As Ginny helped Hermione with her shoes, Helena went over to the small table where they had placed Hermione's bouquet and picked it up. She smoothed down the navy blue ribbon that tied the white calla lilies together before carrying it over to her daughter.

"Here's your bouquet, sweetheart." she said with a tremor in her voice.

"Now, is everyone ready then? The ceremony starts in fifteen minutes, and we need to get you in your places." Minerva said.

Hermione looked around to see if they were done and had everything. "Just as soon as Ginny grabs her bouquet we'll be ready." she nodded.

Ginny snorted. "Right. Almost forgot that." she said as she picked up her bouquet of white roses.

Hermione chuckled. "Now we're ready, Minerva." she said, taking a deep breath as she followed her mum, Molly, Minerva and Ginny out of the room and into the corridor.

Harry and Ron were confused as everything went black for a moment before a scene began forming in front of them. Apparently, they were now in Severus' room while he got ready.

The room was laid out the same as the room Hermione was in. On one of the sofa's sat Arthur, while Remus, Lucius and Draco took seats in the chairs.

"Merlin, Severus, how long does it take you to get dressed?" Draco asked. "It's been twenty minutes already." he added.

"Bugger off, Draco." Severus shouted back from behind his own screen, making the others laugh. Suddenly, the screen was opened and out came Severus, smoothing his jacket.

Lucius let out a long whistle while Draco and Remus goggled at him. Severus was wearing his black dragonhide boots, black trousers, a white button up shirt, a black waistcoat over that, and a long black frock coat with a navy blue cravat. His long black hair was hanging around his face, looking clean and non-greasy. In other words, a more formal version to his usual look.

"Merlin! Even for your wedding, you dress like a clergyman?" Remus asked.

Severus glared at him as he sat in one of the chairs. "Stuff it, Lupin. Hermione picked this out, knowing what I'd be comfortable in." he said.

"Well," Draco said, wanting to stop the bickering before it started, "she did good. I, for one, like the pearl buttons instead of the usual black buttons on your waistcoat, Severus."

A small smile formed on Severus' face. "Yes, well, she didn't want me to look entirely like my usual self." he said.

"Severus?" Minerva asked as she entered the room. "You've only got fifteen minutes before the ceremony." she said as she stopped in front of him.

Severus stood up and straightened his jacket again. "Thank you, Minerva." he said.

Minerva's eyes got a bit misty as she looked at him. She reached out and put a hand on his arm with a smile on her face. "You know, I'm proud of you, Severus."

"For getting married?" he asked.

"For letting yourself feel love again." she said. "I never thought this day would come for you, but I'm so glad it has. You deserve all the happiness you get, Severus." she smiled, a tear working it's way down her cheek.

"Thank you, Minerva." Severus said in a thick voice as he uncharacteristically reached out to hug her.

Minerva cleared her throat as she pulled away. "Now, let's go get you married off, shall we?" she asked.

"Yes, let's." Severus said with a smile, following her out the door with Lucius, Arthur, Draco and Remus behind him.

Once again, Harry and Ron were left in darkness as the scene changed again and they were back with Hermione.

"Luna's going to walk normally down the aisle, right? I mean, you did tell her how important it was to me that she just...walk, yes? No twirling, or looking up at the ceiling? Just straight up there, right?" Hermione asked nervously as she walked slowly behind Ginny down the corridor.

Ginny laughed as she slowed to walk beside Hermione. "Yes, Mione. I made sure she rehearsed her walk two times. She knows how important this is for you, don't worry." she said.

"I'm sorry. I love how...unique...Luna is, but today is not the day for it." Hermione said.

As the four women stopped in front of the doors to the Great Hall, Helena and Molly both hugged Hermione once again.

"We're going to go find our seats, sweetheart." Helena said. Smiling at her daughter, she grabbed her hand and held it. "I'm so proud of you, love. And I know you're going to be happy with Severus." she said.

Hermione's eyes began watering as she held in the tears she desperately wanted to let fall. "I already am, Mum. He's the other half of me." she said.

"I know he is." Helena smiled. "Let me give you one piece of marriage advice, though. Always let Severus know how much he means to you. Tell him you love him even when he's acting childish. Which he will, because he's a man." she said, making Hermione let out a little laugh. "But always, always, make sure you tell him that." she said.

Hermione leaned in and hugged her mother tightly. "I love you, Mum." she whispered.

"I love you, too, Angel." Helena said, using Hermione's nickname from when she was younger. Pulling away, she caressed Hermione's cheek before she turned to be escorted in by Neville, who was acting as an usher.

"Congratulations, Hermione, dear." Molly said, patting Hermione's arm.

"Thanks, Molly." Hermione smiled, hugging the woman who'd become a second mother to her.

"You're a beautiful bride, Hermione. Severus won't know what hit him when he sees you." she smiled as she pulled away. Turning to Ginny, she pulled her in for a tight hug. "And you're just as beautiful, baby." she said.

"Thanks, Mum." Ginny smiled.

"You both look so grown up." Molly said, clearing her throat. "I'll see you in there, dears." she said, going into the Great Hall.

"Hello, Hermione." Luna said as she came down the stairs.

"Hello, Luna." Hermione said as she tried to regain her composure.

"I wanted to thank you before the wedding starts for my dress." she said in her usual airy voice. "Not only is it very lovely, but I can tell the seamstress put a spell on it to ward off the snargaluffs." she said as she stood beside Ginny.

Hermione smiled at Luna. "Well...that's good." she said. "Are these snargaluffs dangerous?" she asked, humoring Luna. She may not believe in them, but her friend did.

"Oh, yes. They like to hang from rafters in castles and make your aura go very dark." she said. "They're especially bad luck at a wedding."

"Oh." Hermione said simply. Catching sight of her other bridesmaid, she smiled and relaxed a bit. "Hello, Mallory." she greeted as her friend ran over to her.

"Oh, good Lord. So many handsome men here today." Mallory said excitedly. "I don't think I'll have time to get around to meeting them all." she said.

Hermione laughed at her friend. She had met Mallory Woods a few years ago when the American witch transferred to the Ministry from Salem, and she was always good for a laugh.

"I'm sure you'll find the time, Mal." Hermione said. "You remember Ginny and Luna, right?" she asked.

"Sure." Mallory smiled, holding her free hand out to each witch. "It's been a while, though. How's it?" she asked.

"Good." Ginny and Luna said together.

Hermione's nerves went into high gear as she saw Lucius walking towards her. She knew it was getting close to the time for her to walk down the aisle.

"Ladies." Lucius greeted with a bow. "If you would get into your places, it's nearly time to start." he said, looking at his pocket watch.

"Alright." they said, surrounding Hermione in one last group hug.

"Good luck, Hermione." Luna said before she went to stand in her spot.

"Knock 'em dead, Hermione." Mallory said, going to stand in front of Luna.

"You know you're going to be breaking the hearts of hundreds, maybe thousands, of witches everywhere today, right?" Ginny asked.

"How so?"

"Well, you're taking Severus Snape off the market, for one, and you look gorgeous doing it." she smiled.

"Ha! Thanks, Gin." Hermione said.

"Good luck, love." Ginny said, walking over to stand behind Luna.

"Come over here." Lucius directed, escorting Hermione out of view of the Great Hall. "Can't be seen before the big reveal, can we?" he asked.

Hermione smiled at Lucius. "Thanks again for doing this, Lucius." she said.

"It's my pleasure, love, really." he said. "You look beautiful, by the way. Severus won't know what to do with himself."

Hermione chuckled. "As long as he doesn't faint, I'll be fine." she said.

"I have something for you." Lucius said, pulling a box out of his robe pocket. "It's not much, but I felt it suited you." he said.

Hermione opened the box and smiled at the silver charm bracelet that was lying there. It had three little book charms hanging from it.

"It's beautiful." Hermione smiled.

"If you look closer, each book has been engraved." he said.

Hermione looked closer at each charm, and once again had tear forming in her eyes. One book said 'Malfoy', with Helena and Lucius' wedding date below it, another said 'Snape', with today's date on it, and the other said 'Granger', with her parents wedding date below it.

"Oh!" Hermione gasped. "Lucius, I...I...oh!" she exclaimed, hugging him tightly as she tried not to cry. "Put it on me?" she asked. After he clasped it shut, she smiled at him as she admired it. "Thank you." she said softly.

"You're welcome, Hermione." he said. He smiled at her as she wrapped her hand around his arm. "Now, it's time to get you married." he smiled.

Hermione smiled as she turned to watch Mallory, Luna and Ginny begin to walk into the Great Hall. After Ginny entered, the doors were shut, concealing the corridor so Hermione could get into position. As she stood in place, grasping Lucius' arm, she took one last deep breath.

"I'm ready." she said.
