"Breakfast's done, you guys" Sam said, carrying 4 bowls and put them on the table for each of the girls.

Britney was on vacation from Woohp so she was staying over at the spies' house for 2 weeks. Alex, Britney and Clover were sitting at the dining's table. Each with a phone in their hands, either texting or updating their facebook status

"Guys? Hello?" Sam was practically waving at their faces to get their attention. "GUYS!"
She tapped Britney on the shoulder.

"Britney? Are you guys even listening to me?"

"Yes, Sam. We'll clean up our rooms later." Britney said absent mindedly with her eyes still glued on the phone.

"What? No! Stop going on your phone and eat your breakfast!" Sam demanded. She turned her head to Alex who was giggling at something she saw on her phone. Sam grabbed it and read the text message that Alex has been laughing at.

"Sam's going crazy again..this is worse than living with parents." Sam read out loud. "From Clover." She turned to Clover who was looking down, avoiding eyes contact.

"Girls, this is enough. Do you know how hard it was to make your breakfast?" Sam said.

Clover looked down at the bowl in front of her.

"This is cereal."

Sam ignored Clover's remark. "The point is…you guys are relying on electronic devices way too much. Like right now, you're not even listening to me." Sam grabbed all of the phones from the girls hands.

"I declare another No Electronic Week." Sam announced

Britney and Clover groaned while Alex was clapping and cheering.

"We are not allow to use any electronic devices like TV, computer, mobile phones."

"How are we going to do research for homework?" Clover raised her hand like they were in school.

"Read books." Sam answered

"What about entertainment?"

"Read books."

"How am I going to talk to my friends?"

"Use our home phone."

"We have a home phone?"

"Any other questions?"

"Since I'm only staying for 2 weeks, do I still have to join?" Britney asked

"Yes. The winner will get a prize." Sam winked

"What is the reward this time? Because the 'special' reward last time wasn't very 'special'." Clover said

"Hey! I liked it. I still have it." Alex pulled out a lollipop from her pants pocket.

Clover grabbed it from her hand and looked at it. "It's expired" Clover put in back on the table.

"Oh…" Alex frowned and looked down at the table, feeling disappointed.

"The winner this time will probably get a proper prize." Sam said.

"Can I get a new phone?" Clover asked.

"Sure, why not?"

"What?!" Britney and Alex asked shockingly.

"Only if she wins, and knowing Clover, she's not going to win. The contest starts now." Sam said as she laid down all of their phones on the table. Immediately, Clover's phone rang. She went to pick it up but stopped halfway.

"That was a test. I'm not going to answer it." Clover sat back down, looking anxious.

She stared at the phone without blinking, tapping her fingers on the table, eager to pick it up. The temptation was too high, she couldn't handle it. Finally, after what seems to be an hour, the phone stopped ringing.

"Phew.." Clover sighed of relief and flopped back down on her chair.

*Later that night, 10:00 PM*

Sam was lying on her bed, reading a book with Clover sitting beside her, looking bored and whistling to the tune of My Little Pony.

"I think Alex's been watching My Little Pony way too much. I mean, we've been having this No Electronic Week for days yet I still remember the tune of the theme." Clover said.

"Clover, we just started the competition this morning." Sam reminded her.

"Really?" Clover sat up straight, looking startled.

"Maybe you should try to read a book to keep yourself from getting bored." Sam suggested.

"I've read all of the latest issues from Vogue already."

"I meant a real book."

"Well, I've read the stories section about this girl wanting to get a boyfriend."

"Oh my god, it's like talking to a robot." Alex who was sitting on the couch in Sam's bedroom, listening to their conversation the whole time. She stood up and left the room. "I'm going to bed now."

A chorus of "bye and goodnight" from Clover and Sam.

"That was weird of Alex." Sam commented.

"Stop watching My Little Pony changes her." Clover giggled and Sam joined in. They giggled for a while and then stop all suddenly in realization.

"Alex!" They both hurriedly ran upstairs to find Alex who was curled up on the couch in the living room, watching TV.

"Ah ha! I knew it!' Sam said

"Little Miss Vasquez. Pretending to go to sleep, and break the rules." Clover looked straight into Alex's eyes like she was a criminal.

"I—I couldn't stand it anymore!" Alex confessed. "But I wasn't the only one in this." Alex pulled the blanket next to her and revealed Brittney texting on her phone.

"Britney!" Sam said, shocked.

"Alex!" Britney said at the same time. "And I thought we were all in this together."

"Oh please, this is not high school musical. If I'm out, you're out." Alex said as she turned back to the TV screen. "Now excuse me, but I want to see what Fluttershy is up to."

"I guessed it's just you and me now." Clover winked and smiled mischievously at Sam and walked away to her room.

Sam was suddenly scared, she swallowed the lump in her throat and went back to bed.

*The next morning, 11:00AM*
Sam entered the house. Alex was on the couch, watching My Little Pony while Clover was next to her, covering her eyes from the TV screen.

Britney tried to make Clover lose by pulling her hands away.

"No! No! No!" Clover restrained from opening her eyes.

Sam sat on the couch with her head down. Clover stopped what she was doing and turned around.

"You ok, Sammy?"

"I got a B in Biology. A 'B'!" Sam said

"Congratulation?" Britney said, confused. Sam stopped and face Britney.

"Congratulation? 'B' is the worst! I've never gotten a B since kindergarten and that was because it was the highest mark in our class. The teacher didn't want the students to get competitive." Sam complaint.

"It certainly didn't work." Clover mumbled.

"I'm just going to do it again." Sam buried her head in her hands and finally got up and went to her room.

When Sam left, Clover turned over to Britney and shook her head.

"She has some serious problems."

Meanwhile in Sam's bedroom, she went over to her desk and opened up her books.

"Let's see what I did wrong" She re-read her work and checked the teacher's comments. Sam, then, pulled out the science books she just borrowed from the library. She flipped through the books hastily.

"It doesn't have enough information about homeostasis." She said hopelessly, ruffling her hair. She looked to the left where her laptop was conveniently right next to her.

"Maybe I could…no, I'm not going to do that…but maybe." Sam was torn between her two options. She could finish her biology assignment but she'd have to buy Clover a new phone or she could just leave her assignment alone and accept her B but Sam didn't like getting a B at all.

"Well, Clover's upstairs. She's not going to know anyway. I'll just do one quick research." Sam quietly and slowly turned on her laptop. Everything was going well, until the start up screen appeared. The familiar sound of Windows system popped up.

"No! Shush!" Sam tried to cover the speaker but at that exact moment, Clover busted in Sam's room.

"Aha! You lost!" Clover pointed in to Sam's face as she marched toward her. "I won! That's right!" She high fived Alex and did a victory dance on the desk.

"What? Nooooooooooooo" Sam screamed.

*Same day, 4:00 PM*

Clover was sitting on the couch in the living room, bouncing up and down excitedly. She gazed at Sam lovingly as Sam walked down the stairs.

"Oh hello, Sammy." Clover greeted. "I'm just sitting here, casually waiting for my new phone."

"Right..about that." Sam stood in front of her. "You're not getting a phone."

"Wait, what? But you promised."

"Technically, I didn't."

"But I won! What do I get then?"

"Well, you get pride and dignity."

"What? I don't need those stuff. I was fine without them for 15 years!"

"And you don't have to clean your room for 2 weeks."

"3 weeks." Clover bargained.

"2 weeks and you get to watch America's Next Top Model as much as you'd like."

"Deal." Clover shook hands with Sam and skipped happily upstairs.

"This will be the last No Electronic Contest ever" Sam sighed and flopped down the couch.
