"Hey Clover! Do you think it's time your hair gets a little trimming?" Alex snuck up behind Clover with a pair of scissors in her hand.

It was a Friday night. Sam was out on a study date while Clover and Alex were staying in for a movie night. Halfway through Mulan, Alex was inspired by the haircut that Mulan gave herself and decided to try her hairstyling skills on Clover.

"Nope. No way am I letting you near my hair. Let alone you with the scissors." Clover brushed her off.

"Please. I'll give you a beeeautiful haircut!" Alex said, stretching the word 'beautiful' out more than necessary.

"Watch the movie! You picked it." Clover shoved the popcorn at Alex. They spent 2 hours to decide a movie. Alex had suggested all the Disney movies while Clover was dismissing all of Alex's suggestions and replacing them with rom-coms instead. After a while of this, Clover gave up and let Alex pick whatever she wanted while Clover went out to get the popcorn because the Hispanic girl can't watch a movie without snacks.

"I've seen it 10 times already."

"Then why did you suggest it?"

"I wanted you to watch it."

"Well, I've seen it too"

"Then you won't miss out much when I give you this haircut." Alex touched Clover's hair which felt a lot softer than she imagined. "Jeez, that felt like touching fluffly soft pillows. What conditioner do you use?"

"The best there is."

"Very vanilla-y and cinnamon-y." Alex took a seat close to Clover and began to examine her hair. "I just thought of a perfect haircut that will go with the smell."

Clover moved away from Alex's touch. "No no, I'm not letting you anywhere near my hair."

"Please. How about we have a little bet? If you lose, I'm not gonna cut your hair and in fact, you can cut mine. But if I win…" Alex cocked an eyebrow at her scissors and making a cutting motion with it.

Clover looked at the scissors and back at Alex. She was tempted to see what Alex had in mind for the bet but at the same time, she didn't want to cut her flawless hair.

"What kind of competition are we talking about?" Clover asked after a while.

"What kind of competition do you want? An atheletic one?"

"No way!" Clover knew for sure Alex would beat her in an atheletic competition. She was the most sporty out of the three, after all.

"Academic?"

"Yeah, as if."

"Rock, paper, scissors?"

"Hello? What are we? Six?"

"Ok, how about we do a mix challenge where we have to eat limes and then chug a whole can of coke while doing a headstand?"

"A bit too far with the headstand but the other two is okay, I guess." Clover agreed to the challenge knowing that Alex was really desperate by now.

"Yes! I'll go get the lime and coke." Alex ran to the kitchen. Clover watched and smiled as the girl excitedly run to get ready for the challenge.

Clover was enjoying the movie when Alex walked out with two cans of coke and a plate with sliced limes.

"Are you ready?" Alex put the stuff down, in front of Clover.

"Totally!" Clover faked sounding excited.

"Each of us will have to eat 5 slices of lime and then drink the entire can of coke. Who finishes first will win." Alex explained. "Go!"

Alex began to stuff her mouth with the slices of lime and Clover was just watching her going through this alone while laughing at her. Alex cringed at the sour taste but was still chewing it down. Clover was slowly eating each slice, drinking the coke and enjoying Alex suffering.

Clover was back to eating popcorn and watching Mulan as Alex opened her coke to chug the whole thing down. She giggled at the sight. Alex was oddly cute right now, Clover didn't even want to try to win, she just wanted to watch her friend trying to beat her.

"Wait…why aren't you doing it?" Alex stopped drinking.

"Hmm? Of course, I am. But I think you're winning."

Alex widened her eyes. "I am?" She dropped her coke down on the table. "I'm giving you a haircut!" She grabbed the scissors on the table and sit Clover down on the floor, in front of her.

Alex began to put on her serious face like she was defusing a bomb and she cannot make any mistakes. Clover held up the compowder to look at Alex's face behind her.

"Stay still! Stop giggling!" Alex pulled on Clover's hair.

"Ow! Sorry."

Clover focused on the movie and slowly ate her popcorn, making sure that she wasn't disturbing Alex's concentration. Besides the sound of her popcorn chewing, she also heard a buzzing noise from behind and turned around to see Alex raising a razor.

"AAHH! What do you think you're doing?"

"Giving you side shave!"

"I'm already regretting this." She heard Alex shrieked.

"WHAT HAPPENED?" Clover shouted.

"You never liked those split ends right?"

"What did you do to them?"

"Well I shaved them off…along with everything else."

Clover frantically reached for the mirror and saw the sight of herself. Her beautiful hair was now cut short with a sideshave and she had no idea what Alex did to the left side but it was pointing everywhere.

She opened her mouth to start shouting but she saw Alex sitting on the edge of her seat, rocking back and forth with anticipation. Her eyes filled with excitement and a hint of fear. Clover couldn't bear to ruin her joy.

"It's-n-nice." Clover finally said.

Alex let out a sigh of relief. She didn't even know she was holding her breath. "You actually like it?"

"No, but I appreciate your effort."

"That's good enough for me." Alex flopped back on the couch. She tossed the scissors on the table and sat with her feet up, arms crossed, grinning ear to ear. She actually managed to give Clover and not get shouted at. That was a pretty big achievement. Clover even said it was nice. This has never happened before and she couldn't imagine it ever hap-

"Now go get me a hat or something so I can cover it up." Clover interrupted her thoughts.

There it is.
