A/ N : Firstly, I want to thank all the reviewers, the people that favourited this story, and the ones that are still following it. I'm sorry that I haven't updated this story for ages. I'm planning to finish this before New Year.
Endou decided to have dinner after their walk at the park, but Natsumi, she had a better idea. "Endou- kun, how about if I cook dinner for both of us?" she said happily. "You see, when I was in England, I took cooking classes there. I think that my cooking skill really improved. Even my friend, Tiara complimented my cooking." she continued.
"Is that so? You really can cook now, like for real? Because the only thing you could do was onigiri." Endou asked, rubbing his chin. Natsumi raised an eyebrow. "Are you indicating my friend is lying?". Endou sensing a weird aura emitting from her quickly made a 'no' sign with his hand. "If you say so, I believe you. I believe you." he laughed awkwardly.
They both stared at each other for three seconds. "I think it will be much better if we just dine at a restaurant. You can cook for me next time." Endou asked hopefully. "I don't want to exhaust you before our wedding". Natsumi smiled. "That is really so sweet of you, Endou- kun." Endou grinned like an idiot after being praised. He slowly reached for Natsumi's hand. "Let's go now then."
They enjoyed their splendid night together. Natsumi wish that everyday was like that. Endou drove her home and they said their goodbyes. "I'll pick you up again tomorrow to buy the furniture." said Endou. "Pick me up at ten tomorrow." responded Natsumi. "Okay!" exclaimed Endou. Natsumi waved her hand as Endou drove away.
The next day
Today, Endou Mamoru unexpectedly woke up early, without being forced to. Yup, its the end of the world. He woke up at 4 a.m. He just couldn't sleep, maybe it's because he's feeling nervous that less than a month he is going to be a husband, or basically, he's just hungry, like really hungry. He shot up straight to the refrigerator and decided to reheat the dinner that his mother made.
While he ate, he was absorbed in his own thoughts about his future life with Natsumi. Can he be a good husband? A good father? A good son? And a great football player? It was always his dream to become a pro since he was a kid after he discovered his grandfather notebook. Still, Endou hasn't told his fiancée about his plans becoming a pro football player.
Even at a such young age, he already had a stable income by having an online business selling football jerseys and merchandises. That's why he could afford to buy a house and pay for all the wedding expenses without asking for their parents help. He deeply sighed. "God, please give me strength to overcome all the problems that may cross between Natsumi and me." he thought.
He quickly arose from his chair and changed his pajamas to a sweat shirt and shorts and went out for a jog. His body absent- mindedly jogged towards Inazuma Tower, the place he always went to train, aiming to become the strongest in Japan with his friends. Oh how much he missed that place. The tire he used to punch is no longer hanging there on the tree. Heck, the tree is no longer there.
His watch made a beep sound indicating that it was now 8 in the morning. He hurriedly ran home. He doesn't want to pissed the hell out of Natsumi again. On the way home, he saw a kid with swirly hair and a dog, playing football at the park. He really felt happy that kids nowadays still enjoy playing football like he did.
Natsumi finished just in time applying make up to her face when her maid knocked on her door. "Come in." said Natsumi. "Excuse me young mistress, your fiancé is here." replied the maid. "Oh, he's here already. Tell him that I'll be there in a second." She told her. The maid bow and excused herself. The maid, Yamada Yuri obediently did as what she was told to do.
Natsumi swiftly headed towards Endou and hugged him amorously before kissing him passionately. "Good morning, my love." she said flirting. "G-good morning." replied Endou perplexed. He was blushing furiously when he noticed the maids were giggling while watching them. He coughed a little bit and the maids turned their heads away. "Why the sudden kiss? A-and did you just called me 'my love'." he asked dumbfounded.
"I don't know, somehow I thought that I may never see you again. And yes, I did called you that, I can't always call you Endou-kun forever, right Endou- kun." she said sweetly. "Aaaah, uhm. Right, I think. I personally don't mind you calling me Endou- kun, but 'my love' sounds pretty good to me too." he said. "Well, lets go then".
Endou drove for about 30 kilometers from Natsumi's house to the furniture shop. There were tons of exquisite furniture. Natsumi, being the woman she is, couldn't stop surveying the shop. She made sure to take a mental note for all the furniture she likes, especially the mahogany wardrobe.
"Oh, Natsumi, look at that!" said Endou pointing his finger towards a section that sells football patterned furniture. "Endou- kun… " before she could finish her words, he grabbed her arm and started walking towards that section.
"Uwaaah, Natsumi, look at that football bed, and football sofa and football rug and and and that football patterned television cabinet. I'm hyperventilating right now. This is heaven. We should get this." screamed Endou excitedly.
Natsumi shook her head and took a deep breath. "Endou- kun, you're drooling, close your mouth." She deadpanned. "Don't you remember your promise?"
"Eh, what promise?" questioned Endou. "Huh, Endou- kun, how come you don't remember?" she crossed her arms while pouting. "You promised me that our house will be decorated following my way."
"Ah, yes I did. Well… just forget about what I said." he said, his voice clearly stating that he's upset. He quickly brushed it off and reverted to his happy attitude. "So, it's your pick. What do you want?"
Natsumi tilted her head. "I can't decide yet. How about we come another time again?" she asked. "Sure, as you wish."
Before they exited the shop, she turned her head and looked at the football patterned bed. "Soccer freak." She thought, smiling.
"Natsumi, we're here. In front of your house." He woked her up gently. "Don't leave yet. Come in first." She said groggily. "I want to cook for you."
Endou smiled. "I appreciate it Natsumi. But I'm sure you are tired. Maybe next time."
"No, I'm not tired. I promised you already. I never go back on my words." she replied.
Endou raised his arms, surrendering. "Fine, fine. If you wish."
Natsumi hurriedly wore her apron and started cooking. Endou could smell the pleasant aroma emitting throughout the dining room. "Wow, it smells surprisingly good."
She brought out the food and served Endou. "This looks great!" he exclaimed. "Thank you, Endou- kun. Go on, try it."
Endou eagerly took a bite and started coughing after eating it. He quickly turned into a strange shade of purple. "This taste horrid." He thought.
"Endou-kun, Endou- kun, are you okay?" she asked worriedly and gave him a glass of water while rubbing his back. "I'm good." (I'm dying. Help. Someone, help me.)
"Is it delicious?" she asked hopefully. Endou, not wanting to disappoint her nodded. "Thank God, I'm glad you like it."
He continued eating his food with a weird look on his face. "Endou Mamoru, if you are a real man, just swallowed it and smile. Swallow and smile. Swallow. Smile."
Welcome to marriage life Endou. Welcome.
