Author's Note: I know I'm slow. I apologize. I've been trying to figure out where I want things to go from here... and I've only now finally sat down and forced myself to write something even though I had no clue what I wanted to write. Well, hope you all enjoy. Don't worry, this is not the last chapter... I THINK the next one will be... but no guarantees ^^;

Shego stared after the fleeing redhead before digging her nails into her palm and muttering violently, "FUCK!"

She stood there for a good five minutes mulling over her options before she starting walking back to the party. It wasn't fair. The redhead could surprise her with a kiss, but she wasn't allowed to do the same? She did understand that circumstances did differ, but she was still hurt.

When she made it back to where everyone was waiting, Kim was sitting next to Ron, mouth shut and staring at the towel she was seated upon. She wouldn't look at Shego.

The villain grit her teeth and sat down next to Jean, saying nothing.

The two fashion designers exchanged worried glances. They hadn't seen what'd transpired between the hero and the villain, and now they were regretting leaving the two girls to their own devices.

Before Jean or Monique could sneak away to talk things out, Jean's earlier dance partner appeared again.

"Hey Jean," he started with a stupid grin. "The fireworks are starting in a few minutes. Would it be possible to steal you away? I'd like to watch them with you."

Jean glanced at Mo who gestured for her to go.

The older designer took the man's hand and he pulled her to her feet. He placed a hand on her waist as the two walked off to a more secluded part of the beach.

Monique was silent for a bit before she turned to Shego and asked, "Is he safe for her to be around?"

Shego frowned slightly, "Not entirely sure. I don't know him too well. I know she's interested in him, has been for a while now… but I've never talked to the guy."

The chocolate skinned woman paused for a few moments before making up her mind. She grabbed the twins and said, "Ok, let's go follow them! We have to make sure nothing happens to Jean!"

"Right!" the twins said in unison. Both were looking for a way to get away from the tense atmosphere radiating from their sister and Kim.

Ron wanted to go with them to escape as well, but he had a feeling things would get worse if he disappeared too. So he stayed in his seat between Shego and Kim, awkwardly twiddling his thumbs and trying to figure out what to say.

The blonde boy was saved when a girl who he'd danced with earlier dragged him away to watch the fireworks. He was relieved to find a way out without doing anything to deliberately escape.

Kim and Shego sat in silence and neither would look at the other, but both knew the other hadn't left.

The redhead was biting her bottom lip and using her hair as a curtain to separate them so they couldn't make eye contact.

The older woman flopped back on her towel and stared at the stars, waiting for the display to start. The hero obviously didn't want to talk about it, so she didn't push.

The fireworks came and went, and neither made a sound or moved. When the display ended, people slowly left the beach, and eventually the rest of their party made it back to them.

Mo and Jean were exchanging worried glances, seeing as how both were still not looking at the other.

When they'd packed up and made it back to their shared house, Jean and Mo immediately went to their room. They needed to figure out what to do. Things were not going as planned.

As soon as everyone else had disappeared to do whatever, the twins and Ron going to the twins' room to play a board game, Mo and Jean to do whatever, and Kim up to their shared room to shower, Shego left again. She didn't say a word to them – told no one she was leaving or where she was going. They wouldn't have approved either way.

The bouncer in the front of the club look at Shego for but a second before ushering her inside. He didn't stop her even though she was still wearing her beach gear and he usually had to stop people like that from entering. He'd rather not get chewed out by the boss for trying to kick Shego out.

The green skinned woman went straight to the back and for the steps. The same guy who'd greeted her the first time she was there was standing guard. She made contact with him and he immediately let her pass. He'd been told she'd be coming this time.

When she made it to the top of the steps, Daniel was waiting for her, a smug grin on his face.

"Shego, I'm glad you called. Please, take a seat. Would you like anything to drink?"

The villain rolled her eyes and took a seat across from him. "No. I'm fine."

He leaned forward a little and asked, "So, what was it you wanted to talk about."

The twins were the first ones to realize Shego was missing. They thought she was the one in the shower so they'd been waiting to ask her if she wanted to join them for a board game. When Kim was the one to walk out of the room drying her hair, the twins realized Shego wasn't there. They asked around and no one could find her.

When the whole house had been alerted to the absence of the green skinned woman, Jean and Mo grew worried.

"Hey, Kim, can you do me a favor?" Mo asked, placing her hands together in a pleading gesture.

"…Yes?" the redhead asked suspiciously.

"Can I borrow your Kimmunicator? I want to talk to Wade. Jean wants to meet him."

Kim shrugged and handed over the device. "Sure thing, just let me know when you're done."

Mo lit up and took the device. She and Jean retreated to their room where they promptly shut their door and locked it.

Clicking it on, Mo said, "Hey Wade, I need you to do something for me."

"Oh, hey Monique. What's up?"

"I need you to track Shego's cell."

Wade cocked an eyebrow, "I don't have her number you know, that makes it a little harder."

Jean's head appeared on screen. "I do."

Wade blinked, "Umm…."

"Jean, Wade. Wade, Jean."

Jean then relayed the phone number and Wade went to work. It took him a few minutes but he finally grinned triumphantly. "It looks like she's at a club a few blocks away."

Both of the designer's stomach's dropped. They really hoped the villain wasn't there, but they had a feeling their hopes were going to be dashed.

"Thanks Wade," Mo replied, her voice a bit shaky.

"Is… everything alright?"

"Fine… things will be fine."

He wanted to ask more, but she hung up. She returned the Kimmunicator to Kim and then went to the boys' room.

Jean made sure to speak up a little when talking to them so that Kim would hear. They couldn't blatantly say anything to Kim's face, but this would work.

"Shego went back to Daniel's club."

"What?! Why?" they asked worriedly.

"I don't know… but… it had to have been something big to make her go to his place of her own free will," Jean replied.

A few seconds later they could hear a pair of feet running down the steps and the front door opening and closing.

A/N: So what'd you all think? Any guesses as to why Shego went back to Daniel's club? Let me know what you all think~ Hope you enjoyed it :)
