Author's Note: Heya, so thanks to people asking about this in reviews and such, it has gotten me to update, wooooooo :D I hope you all enjoy :D let me know what you guys think :)

Ron leaned over to Kim and asked in a hushed voice, "What's Shego doing here?!"

Frowning the redhead replied, "I have no idea."

"Do you think she could be working with DNAmy?"

Kim recoiled at that suggestion. "I highly doubt it. She already left one mad scientist, I don't think she'd switch to another. Besides, it looks like she's friends with that girl you were flirting with earlier."

That reminded the blond, "You totally interrupted me when I was flirting with her!"

Kim sighed, "We're on a mission, remember?"

"Yeah, a mission where our contact hasn't MADE contact yet," he grumbled. "I was hoping to relax and treat it like a vacation before we really get to work."

"Well we really have to get to work tomorrow. We haven't heard anything from our contact, something could've gone wrong, which means that we need to find out what."

"Alright, alright, we'll head out at first light. When we finish this mission, if we still have some time left, can we stay behind and just work the slopes a bit?"

"We just had a vacation a month ago, at the beach, remember?"

"How could I forget? We were living with your arch-enemy! And she's here too, so I don't even know if I could count this as a vacation either!"

"She hasn't thrown plasma at us right?"

He mumbled, "Well, no…."

"Then for now, she's not a threat."

"Fine."

"Good. Now then, finish up your cake so we can head to our room to work on our game plan for tomorrow."

He shoveled a bite of Anna's birthday cake into his mouth, "Alright, alright, I'm eating."

Shego suddenly turned and saw the doors leading out of the dining area close, catching a brief glimpse of red hair. She blinked and shook herself out of it. Even now she couldn't stop thinking of Kim. She berated herself a little before managing to get herself back into the partying mood.

Even after all the guests and Anna's friends and family had left or turned in for the night, the two were still awake, laying on top of one of the tables and staring through the glass panels in the ceiling and at the snow.

It'd been silent for a while before Anna spoke up, "Say, Shego…."

"Yeah?"

"Do you think we'll ever find the one we're meant to be with for the rest of our lives?"

"Is that your roundabout way of asking about soul mates?"

The girl shrugged, "Pretty much."

Sighing the ex-villain muttered, "I don't even know if they exist. If they did, I don't know why we go through the pain of falling for so many people in one life."

"Well, maybe we all have multiple possible soul mates."

Shego chuckled, "Maybe."

"Do you think you ever met one of yours?" Anna asked, turning to the green skinned woman.

Shego smiled slightly, "I think I've met one…. And I let her get away."

"Is it Kim?" she asked, scrunching her brow.

"No. Well, I don't know. Maybe she could've been a possible candidate… but right now I don't think she was ever an option."

"Then who is one of your soul mates?"

With a small smile she replied, "My best friend, Jean."

"Your best friend? I've never heard of her."

"I haven't talked much about my personal life, so that's probably why. But yeah, she's been my best friend for years. We dated for a while, but I ruined it."

"….how?"

"I was too caught up with work, with fighting, with everything. I never made enough time for her. Her schedule was hectic, and so was mine. She was willing to meet me halfway, hell, she was willing to go more than halfway if that's what it took… at the time, I just wasn't. I was stupid and focused on myself. I was never willing to go the distance."

"But you guys managed to stay friends?"

"After she broke up with me, I think that was the wakeup call. By then we were way beyond the point of no return. I'd screwed things up… but she straightened me up a little. I appreciated her more, would set more time aside to see her, to go to dinner, etc. It would never turn back time, and I still love her – but, not in the way I used to. She and I have moved on."

Anna was quiet for a moment before asking, "Do you think you'll ever find another soul mate?"

"I honestly don't know, and right now, I just don't want to deal with the whole love thing. It's a painful thing. And anyways, what about you? Any soul mate candidates on your end?"

The teen shrugged, "I dunno. I've met and dated a few guys… but none of them seemed like the one. Whenever I started dating them, I knew from the beginning it wouldn't last forever – so I just went along for the ride."

"Don't worry kiddo, if soul mates really exist, there's no doubt you'll find one of yours."

"How can you be so sure? And I'm not a kiddo anymore. Just turned 18, remember?"

"Yes, yes, Milady." Anna rolled her eyes. "And you're a good person, you may make stupid decisions, but you ARE still just a child. You have time to learn and grow, and eventually you'll find someone who's as important to you as you are to them, and you'll be able to see it. That's when you'll know – and I know a lot of people like you, so you just have to find the one that you like back."

Anna smiled slightly, "You're a good person Shego. I can't imagine what you were like as a villain."

Shego laughed, "Oh shut up. It's late, I'm tired. I'm usually a snarky cranky ass bitch. I just happen to have a soft spot for people like you. You remind me a little of Jean when she was younger."

"Don't go falling in love with me," Anna joked, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.

Rolling her eyes the ex-villain laughed, "Not on your life."

"Wade, have you heard anything for Mr. Sanders yet? He still hasn't contacted us."

"I'm sorry Kim, I've got nothing. Looks like you guys are going in dark on this one. I'll do what I can to support you, but I've got nothing. He's completely off the radar."

"Got it, thanks." Kim put her Kimmunicator away and turned to Ron. "Alright, since we've got nothing to go on, tomorrow we'll go around asking some locals if they've seen anything strange and whatnot, and hopefully we'll have some information by midday so we can start searching the mountains."

Ron wasn't pleased that he wouldn't have time to snowboard, but the mission always came first. "Right, and DNAmy is somewhere in the mountains creating her monsters right?"

"Yeah."

"Shouldn't be too hard to find her. She has the body of a gorilla right?"

"I don't think so. I heard after Monkey Fist finally escaped her she realized there was no point in staying that way since she'd never have him."

"I guess that strikes out the idea that she'd need a huge entrance to her lair due to her large size," Ron sighed.

"Let's not worry too much. We should be able to get some sort of information tomorrow. The locals have to have seen something by now." Kim decided it was time to turn her attention to sleep. "I'll take the couch, you can have the bed. I had one last time."

Ron shook his head, "No. You can have the bed, I find the couch here rather comfy." He stretched out on it. "See? I already claimed it."

She laughed a little, "Alright Ron." She moved over to the bed and slipped under the covers, "G'night."

"G'night KP."
