"So you're telling me that Kimberly actually said that she was kind of falling for you?" Betty asked, sitting on the edge of her seat with a handful of popcorn.

Shego nodded. She popped a piece of popcorn into her mouth and said, "And then after that I ran away to escape because obviously I'm a coward."

"Oh yeah, obviously," Betty said sarcastically. "It's normal to not want to be anywhere near someone who's breaking your heart. It's tough."

"Yeah, but I'm supposed to be tough," Shego said in a slight pout.

"Isn't coming here proof of how tough you are?" Betty asked, reclining in her chair.

"I don't know. But either way I feel like this is the only plausible thing I could do. I can serve you Drakken, Monkey Fist, Dementor and so many others to you up on a silver platter. Do you think it'll be enough?"

"I'm not sure. I'll discuss things with the higher ups and then I'll get back to you about this whole thing. How would you like me to contact you?"

Shego handed her a card. "I'm currently using this phone number. It's a burner phone, so don't expect to be able to trace it."

Betty sighed, "You know I'm not going to trace it. If I really wanted to find you I would just have to look up the hospital Kimberly is at. You said she'd be there for a couple more days."

"Yeah, I guess so."

The brunette leaned forward to scoop up some more popcorn before saying, "It's been a long time since we've had something even remotely close to girl-talk."

"Well, it has been years since we were in college," Shego chuckled. "After we graduated we took different paths."

"True."

Shego placed her elbows on the desk and leaned on her hands, "So what about you? Any girl talk we need to discuss? It has been a while and I do remember that most of the time in college it was you who had all the romance stories."

Betty grumbled and said, "My love life has gone downhill since I started working. I so rarely get out anymore. I haven't met anyone I might even remotely like to date in over a year."

Shego cocked an eyebrow, "Did you need me to set you up on date? I still know a few ladies who might have an interest in a workaholic like you."

Betty groaned, "Again with you trying to set me up. We might as well be back in college. If I remember correctly, most of those dates ended horribly."

Shego rolled her eyes, "And if I remember correctly, that's also how you met your boyfriend of two years."

"Yes, the one who ended up leaving me because he was ashamed that I was doing better than him in everything."

Shego grew quiet at that. "He told me something else."

"Oh really? And what might that be?" she asked with a roll of her eye.

"He saw you going places, and he didn't want to hold you back."

Betty snorted, "Oh please, he would've told me if that were the case."

"No he wouldn't've. You know that."

Betty grew silent. "So what? That was a long time ago. It doesn't matter now."

Shego sighed, "It matters because I found you someone once, I think I can find you someone again."

Betty groaned and shoved some popcorn into her mouth, "How did we get onto the topic of this again?"

Laughing, Shego replied, "We were talking about my love life, that's how." Then she stood and said, "Alright Betts, I have to get back to work soon. My shift starts in a couple of hours. Keep me updated on whether I might be able to be pardoned or not… and hey, I'll find you a date yet."

The one eyed woman watched as Shego climbed out the window she came in from and huffed. She really hoped Shego didn't start setting her up on dates. Sure she hadn't dated anyone in a while, but this was a bit much. She sighed and finished off the popcorn, pressing a button and calling Will Du into the office.

"Ma'am?" her top agent asked as he stepped into the room.

She held the popcorn bowl up to him, "Make me more."

Shego walked into the inn and Donna smiled at her. "Hey, did you get things sorted out?"

"I talked to an old friend. She's going to see what she can do. For now I'll just have to wait it out until she responds."

"But she might be able to expunge your record?"

Shego smiled slightly, "She might be able to. I do have a lot of information they could use to take down a lot of villains."

Donna moved out from behind the counter and pulled Shego into a hug, which the green skinned woman awkwardly returned. "I'm glad you're getting some things sorted out. I've already set up the schedule so that for this week, after today, you'll be working in the kitchen instead of at the reception desk. So just finish up this shift and then you're free of front desk duty until our hero leaves."

"Thanks," Shego said as she smiled warmly. "You're a life saver."

"Of course, Dear," Donna smiled.

Shego took her place behind the counter and tried to relax. While she felt a bit better about now having a possible path towards being free of her past, there was no guarantee it was going to work, and now she felt like she was going to be on edge until she heard word.

She had checked in 11 clients, checked out two snowmobiles, pointed several people towards the tour site entrance, and had a lengthy conversation with Anna about why the 18 year old seemed to always face plant when she tried to come to a stop when snowboarding, before Anna dashed up the steps to grab her phone and before the familiar blond boy came through the main entrance.

He hesitantly walked up to Shego who put down her magazine at the sight of him. "What's up?" She asked as nonchalantly as possible, but her heart was hammering in her chest.

"Kim is doing a lot better today. She's going to be released tomorrow morning and we'll be coming back. I figured I'd give you a heads up," he said hesitantly.

"Thanks. I talked with my boss already and I'm not going to be working front desk the rest of the week, so Kim and I shouldn't run into each other," she said easily. She felt the butterflies moving around rapidly in her stomach, but she kept up her neutral expression.

"Where will you be working then?" he asked, a bit confused.

"I'll be in the kitchen."

Ron's eyes widened immensely, "You can cook?"

She rolled her eyes, "Yes, I can cook. I'm quite good at i-" She was cut off when Anna entered the main room and froze.

Ron saw her and he went silent as well.

Shego looked between the two and she automatically knew that Ron must've been the blonde to flirt with Anna before. She contemplated frying the blonde boy for going near her young friend, but after she thought about it, she realized he wouldn't be that bad of a guy. He was nothing like the guy she caught a week ago looking at Anna with lewd eyes. Shego had been sure to remove him immediately.

"Say, Stoppable, if I remember correctly, you're not a horrible snowboarder, right?" Shego asked.

"Huh? What? Oh, yeah, I'm not great, but I do pretty well now. Kim taught me," he said, snapping his attention back to Shego. Anna looked at Shego and Ron in confusion.

Shego gestured to Anna and said, "How about you take her snowboarding. I'm sure Kim wouldn't mind you going out for a bit. I'm sure Monique has already arrived by now. Jean texted me earlier and said that Monique was coming up."

"Huh? Oh… yeah. Kim sent me away so they could have some girl talk."

Shego smiled, "Great." She tilted her head towards Anna and said, "Help Anna learn to snowboard. I don't think I'm explaining it well enough." She looked at Anna, "You're good with that right?"

Anna looked a little like a deer caught in the headlights but she eventually nodded her head.

Ron smiled and said, "I'll go get myself prepared, meet back here in fifteen minutes?"

Anna slowly nodded again.

"Great," he grinned and went up the stairs.

Anna immediately went over to Shego and hissed, "What are you doing?! That's the guy that was with another girl!"

Shego chuckled, "That's Ron Stoppable. He and Kim dated a while ago, but they broke up and now they're back to just being best friends."

"Oh… OH," Anna finally said. "Well if you're not worried about him trying to take Kim away from you I guess that means I shouldn't be worried about her trying to take him away, right?"

Shego found it hard to fight down the blood rush that was assaulting her cheeks as she mumbled, "Just go get ready for your snowboarding date."

Anna grinned and pulled Shego down to peck her on the cheek, "Thanks."

Shego rolled her eyes and ruffled the girl's hair. "Go have some fun."

With that Anna took off.

Shego turned back to her magazine but was interrupted when the front doors opened and her eyes widened a little.

"Mo? Weren't you with Kimmie…?" Shego asked in confusion. She was a little flustered.

The dark skinned woman chuckled, "I came to grab her clothes so that she can change into them tomorrow and she'll be ready when we come to pick her up."

"Oh," was all Shego managed.

Monique walked up to the front desk and leaned on it. "Kim thinks it was you who saved her. Ron wouldn't say anything about it. She knows you're here, and she says she's pretty damn sure that it was you that pulled her out of the snow."

Shego leaned back on her heels a little. "Does it really matter?"

"You saved her life, of course it matters to her."

"Well yeah… but I don't want to see her… so I don't want her to come looking for me to thank me," Shego mumbled.

"Cut the crap, Shego. I know you want to see her. She told me about your last dance with her and what you guys talked about," Monique said in a no-nonsense tone.

Shego sighed. "Well yeah, I want to see her… but not just yet. I'm getting some things sorted out… and then I'll see her. I'm just not ready to have the talk with her just yet. I'm waiting to hear back from a friend before I talk to her."

Monique furrowed her brow, "Why would you need to talk to a friend first?"

Shego managed a small smile, "Because that friend might be able to help me fight for Kim."

A/N: Okay, so let me know what you guys think, i really hope you enjoy it, and I'm so sorry I forgot :(
