"Two 8oz steaks, well done, side of fries and side of vegetables!"

Shego grunted in reply as she set to work on the next order. Working the kitchen was always more hectic than the front desk. Sure there were no idiot customers to deal with face to face, but when she had remade a dish three times, she learned which customers to glare at in her time off.

Six hours into her nine hour shift and she was ready to throw herself in bed and never move again. Usually when she worked the kitchens it was only for five hours at the most. This was her second day of long shifts and she was really hoping Betty would get back to her soon.

At seven hours she took her hour break. She trudged to the back room where a cot with her name on it was waiting and threw herself into it. Her alarm was set for forty-five minutes and she wasted no time in falling asleep.

"So what are you going to do when Kim is out of the hospital? Leave town or something?" Monique asked with a quirked brow.

"Nah, I'll just be in the kitchens. It's your job to make sure she doesn't go there looking for me, okay? When I'm ready to see her I'll let you know."

Monique nodded. "Don't make her wait too long or even I won't be able to stop her."

Shego smirked. Yeah, that was definitely her princess. Always trudging forward when others would tell her to turn back.

Shego's eyes had only been closed for ten minutes when there was a pounding on the door. She tried to ignore it but it continued on for over a minute. Grudgingly she pulled herself off the cot and moved to the door with the best death glare she could muster – seeing as her eyes were a little bloodshot and she was exhausted, it wasn't very hard.

She yanked open the door to find Monique standing on the other side with her arms across her chest.

Before Shego could say anything in an annoyed fashion, Monique said, "You're running out of time."

The older woman groaned and opened the door, allowing the redhead's friend inside. "It's only been two days. How can she already be out searching for me? Isn't the buffoon there to help distract her?"

Monique snorted, "He's been hanging out with a girl most of the time."

Shego mentally slapped herself. "Anna, I presume?"

"You know her?" she asked with a cocked eyebrow.

"Daughter of the owner. I kind of set them up."

"Smooth. Well he's distracted and not thinking about Kim now that she's doing better, and Kim can't do anything too strenuous just yet so she's wandering around looking. It's just a matter of time before she checks the kitchen."

"It's employees only back here. I'm still wondering why YOU'RE back here."

"A little sign on a door is not going to stop me, and it won't stop Kim either. Besides, I said I was looking for you and they pointed me straight here."

Shego muttered into her hand as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. "I'm going to have a talk with the staff."

Monique turned to leave, "You do that, but remember, you are running out of time."

"Yeah well I can't do anything until I hear back from my friend."

"Well I'll try to distract her, but I'm not promising much."

Shego chuckled dryly, "Yeah, thanks."

Monique let the door swing shut and left the kitchens. Shego sighed and plopped down on the cot, pulling out her phone. She had about a half hour left of her break. She punched in Betty's number and waited.

It rang a couple times before Betty picked up.

"Betty Director."

"Hey Bets."

"Shego… I told you I'd contact you as soon as we decided."

"Yeah well I'm running out of time." She ran a hand through her hair. "How long do you think until you've reached a verdict?" She could hear the other woman sigh.

"We're holding our third and hopefully final meeting about the issue tomorrow. So far things are looking pretty even for those for and those against it. I really can't say what'll happen just yet."

"What time is the meeting tomorrow?"

"10a.m. It should last about two hours, but knowing the topic is you we're discussing, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes all day."

Shego groaned, "Can you try to expedite the process? Princess is getting antsy."

"I'll see what I can do, and I'll message you immediately after."

"Thanks, Betts. I promise you I'll find you the best date ever."

"… Shego don't you dare try to set me up on a blind da-"

Shego hung up. She shoved her phone into her pocket and flopped back down on the cot. She just had to hold out for another day or two and then it'd be all over – and hopefully ending in her favor.

"I'm going to find her, Monique," Kim muttered as she stabbed at her steak. "Ron and I saw her our first day and I KNOW she's the one who saved me. Ron's all clammed up about it and now he's hanging with a girl so he doesn't have to talk about it."

"Don't be so hard on him, Kim, he hasn't dated anyone since you, and we know it killed him when he found out Yori was having an arranged marriage. Cut the boy some slack."

"Alright fine, but I'm still going to find her."

Monique rolled her eyes, "How about you think about making a full recovery and THEN we'll talk about finding Shego."

Kim puffed up her cheeks. "That'll take another two days before I'm allowed to do strenuous activity again, and by then Shego will have fled!"

"Oh really? You so sure about that?"

Kim narrowed her eyes at the tone her friend was using. "What exactly do you mean?"

Monique shrugged, "Look, all I'm saying is that if she isn't evil anymore she doesn't have to turn tail and run in the other direction whenever you two run into each other."

"She's still a wanted criminal. If I catch her it's my duty to bring her in."

The darker skinned girl rolled her eyes. "Oh please, if you were going to catch her you would've done it a long time ago. You had the opportunity where you stayed at her place and when we stayed at the beach house together. If you were going to arrest her, you would've by now."

Kim slouched a little. "Okay, so I probably wouldn't arrest her… at least not without coercion first. But still! She could have fled."

"Kim, honey, you know I love you, but you need to relax. You were caught in an avalanche and are recuperating. You have got to stop running around. Think clearly, say Shego was planning to flee, she would've left the instant you were hospitalized, she wouldn't have waited around. You wouldn't find her here no matter how hard you looked."

The hero grumbled and didn't want to dignify that with an answer.

"I'll go grab us some cake, okay? Then we can chill out and watch a movie. After you get better I'll even help you look for her. Is that fair?"

She nodded and Monique stood up and headed for the door.

"Hey Mo…" the redhead called out. Her friend stopped in the doorway. "Thanks."

Monique smiled and disappeared to get some cake.

Kim fiddled with her kimmunicator. She already had Wade on alert to anything mentioning Shego or her plasma wielding attributes. If Shego really had fled, she'd know where to go to find her. Even if she knew she wasn't going to arrest the woman, she still wanted to thank her.

Shego was yelling at one of the chefs who'd somehow managed to screw up and refilled the sugar dispenser with salt and vice versa. There were a lot of complaints at the moment and she was not feeling very chipper.

Monique chose that moment to walk into the kitchen without even hesitating when she saw the employees only sign. She might as well break the rules until she got in trouble, not like Shego would ever actually kick her out… she hoped.

The workers were scrambling to fix the mess while Shego's hands had flared up with plasma. She was sure to keep them away from people and items that might be flammable, but that didn't stop her coworkers from steering clear of her and picking up the pace.

"Hey Shego," Monique said with a little hesitation. If the sign on the door didn't scare her away, the green plasma sure was doing the trick.

Shego turned on her and immediately extinguished the flames. Her eyes were a little wide, "Does she know where I am?"

Monique quickly shook her head, "No, no, I'm managing to get her to wait until she's back in action before she goes hunting you down. I uh… I just came in here to pick up some cake, kind of hoping to not have to wait forever, you know."

"Oh." Shego looked around for a moment before she walked over to an oven, "Just give it another three minutes and the cake I just put in should be ready."

"You made it?"

"Yeah, it's a red velvet, my favorite. I don't let the others make it for fear they'll screw it up." Shego huffed. "They manage to screw up everything else in here!" she yelled the last part to watch as the others scrambled to work faster and try to avoid making things worse.

Monique laughed a bit nervously. She stood awkwardly in the middle of an aisle, trying to not get in anyone's way.

"Just go back to the room you found me in yesterday. I'll bring the cake slices there as soon as I pull it out and decorate it."

Monique almost sprinted into the smaller and quieter room, eager to escape the noisy din of Shego yelling profanities at some of the chefs. She was pretty sure they were profanities at least. They sounded like they were in another language so it could be the green skinned woman was trying to avoid losing her job in case one of the guests heard her cursing out her staff.

A couple minutes later Shego walked in with two slices of cake and handed them over. "Be careful on your way out, this kitchen is a disaster zone."

"Thanks, I'll try not to ruin your cake."

Shego chuckled, "Well I was more worried about you, but it would be nice if my cakes survived as well."

Before Monique could really show her surprise, Shego had steered her out into the open area of the kitchen and then proceeded to slap a few of the chefs on the back of the head for falling behind.

Shego flopped into her bed with a groan. She couldn't believe how sore she was after working that shift. She had thought she was physically fit, but obviously working in a kitchen had proved her wrong.

It was already 11p.m. The meeting at Global Justice couldn't have been going on THAT long. She decided that if she wanted a fast answer, calling Betty herself would be the best way.

The phone barely rang once before she was greeted with a curt: "I'm still in the meeting."

"For over 12 hours? There can't be that much to debate about me."

"I told you I would contact you as soon as this meeting is over."

"That could take days at the rate you're going. What exactly is there left to debate about me?"

"Affiliations with Dr. Drakken and Motor Ed and any other villain SHEGO might have possibly slept with."

"Y-you're kidding right?" Shego asked, sitting up. "I'm GAY. I haven't slept with ANY villains."

"Yes, well apparently leaving out the little tidbit about Shego's current love interest has apparently made things take longer."

Shego fell silent for a moment. "I'm actually surprised you hadn't used that yet…"

"Did you want me to?"

"I'd prefer not… but if you think it'd help… I mean, using Kim Possible as a good reason I'd stop being evil would work right?"

"I don't know. It could lead to them then thinking that just because Shego is interested in that person that they can use them as bait to capture her. Or it could lead to them calling the person to then inquire further into it and I'm not sure they'd appreciate that."

"Fair enough. Well can you pull them off the subject of my love life and maybe direct them to the point where I just give them like 10 schemes or people up front and then I give them more after they expunge my record – you know, as a show of good faith?"

"I can try. I'll call you back when I know what's going on."

"Do make it soon please."

Shego plopped back down on her bed after hanging up. She really hoped Betty would call back soon, and even with the exhaustion kicking in from work she didn't think she'd be able to sleep.

It was an hour later that she received a phone call from the Global Justice conference room number.

"Hello…?" Shego asked hesitantly. She had thought Betty would call her using a cell phone.

"Shego, this is Betty Director speaking to you. You're on speaker. We're currently discussing what to do with you and your wish to wipe your record clean. Several members have questions they would like answered before a decision can be made."

Shego straightened up on her bed, as if people were actually talking face to face with her. "Fire away."

The first person to ask a question was a male. "It comes to my attention that you've been dormant in your recent criminal activities, for several months in fact. At least, we haven't known of any law you've broken other than being a fugitive. Care to explain what you've been doing these past few months?"

"I went on vacation for a bit, worked on my tan at the beach. I also visited my family for a bit, lazed about until they got annoyed with my presence, then I got a job."

"What type of job?"

"Oh you know, I work at a ski resort. Sometimes I man the desk and other times I cook."

"And you've not done anything illegal?"

"Well… I mean I'm a fugitive, so I guess technically I'm always doing something illegal by being free."

Another voice came on, this time female. "Ms. Go, please try to refrain from sassing us. We are trying to decide whether or not you really are up to holding your end of the bargain, and you're making it hard."

"I'm sorry, but seriously, I haven't been doing anything illegal that you all don't already know about. I've just been trying to fly under the radar to let the heat die down. And now I want my record expunged."

"And why EXACTLY do you want your record expunged?"

"Well having a record makes it hard to do much, you know? If a cop recognizes me, I can be arrested on the spot. It makes it hard to work or vacation or do anything fun. I'm done being evil, I just want to be normal."

"Ms. Go, you are anything but normal."

"Yeah, yeah, I'm green and have plasma. I get it, I'm not normal, but that doesn't mean I miss being normal. I mean you all have my file, I was a decent kid until I got hit by the meteor."

"That doesn't excuse your past actions."

"I get that, but look, I can hand you almost any criminal in the world on a silver platter. I can tell you of criminal get-togethers, of websites, meetings, and so much more. I can name very single company that makes villain magazines and conventions and I can name hundreds of plans for doomsday devices Drakken has made without even trying. You want information – there's a high probability I have it."

"And how do we know that after wiping your record you'll stay clean?"

"Well you can always just have my old arch-nemesis keep an eye on me. I'm sure Kimmie would be pleased to know she won't have to fight me anymore." Shego smirked, having a gut feeling that Betty was internally groaning.

"Ms. Possible does not work for us and we would be unable to verify that she is actually keeping an eye on you."

"Why not just hire her as freelance? I mean I'm sure she could use the money. Besides, who else has EVER been able to apprehend me? Honestly, we all know you guys never have without her help. So what would be the harm in paying her to be sure one of YOUR key informants is still on your side?" She could hear them murmuring to themselves for a bit, trying to decide. She figured she should throw in a little bit more to try to persuade them, seeing as how she might have ticked them off by calling them slightly incompetent. "Don't forget, I can give you a lot of info BEFORE you even clean my record. Just name someone and I'll tell you."

The chattering ceased a moment later when Betty Director's voice returned, "Shego, I'm about to list off three villain names. If you can give us their current lair, project, and partners we'll have a deal."

"Wait, seriously?"

The other female voice came back on, "We will check in with you often and if we have any questions be sure to answer them promptly to avoid being re-added to the wanted list. We will also be looking into having Ms. Possible keep tabs on you as well. Now then, those we want information on are DNAmy, Motor Ed, and Duff Killigan."

"Alright, let's see… DNAmy is currently situated in China beneath the Great Wall – I can send you the direct coordinates through email. She's working on a machine to reverse her change from a human body to a gorilla body. She's being aided by Monkey Fist who agreed that should she return to being a regular woman he'll date her. He's lying and mostly just wants her to be human so he can flee and not be horrified of a giant gorilla woman.

"Motor Ed is in Los Angeles playing away all his money at the casino. At least that's what he wants people to believe. He's actually using all his money up playing games to figure out the layout of the Grand Lotus Flower Casino so that he can rob them blind in about a month's time. He's also using Dr. Drakken's old counterfeiting machine that Drakken decided was too 'low scale' of an evil machine to use. Drakken gave him the machine a couple years back and is not actually helping him with the scheme since he's too busy trying to learn to sing and dance from Señor Senior Junior while in prison and I think that's the most evil thing that blue man could ever do.

"Killigan is back to the island he had property on and is fortifying it to hopefully destroy Kimmie the next time she shows up. There are no more innocents on the island and he isn't working with anyone. He doesn't have much in the way of new technology per se, but he does have quite a bit of old technology that could give anyone a run for their money. I can send the schematics through email as well as where most of the weaponry is placed. I can also give you a detailed plan on how to get through the lair and to Killigan without much effort.

"Anything else… or does this mean my record is wiped?"

They were silent on the other end, everyone hastily writing down the last of the details. It took a couple minutes of silence where Shego was nervously lighting and extinguishing her plasma before Betty came back on.

"Your slate will be wiped. Ms. Possible will be contacted within the next hour about keeping an eye on you. We will also check in with you in 12 hours to tell you exactly how that will work. Congratulations."

They hung up before she could, but she didn't care, throwing the phone to her bed and jumping up. Even her sore muscles couldn't keep her from containing her excitement. It wasn't every day someone got off the most wanted list.

She was about to run down to let Donna and Anna know, but her phone went off again. This time it was from Betty's cell.

"Betts, holy shit," was the first thing that came out of Shego's mouth.

Betty chuckled, "Someone is already on the phone with Ms. Possible. I'll send you a text as soon as we've heard her answer… and as soon as she knows your slate is wiped clean. Then you can go all out."

Shego grinned, "Thanks Betts. Seriously, I'm going to set you up on the best blind date of your life."

"Shego you really don't have t-"

Shego hung up and threw herself onto her bed. Very soon she would be able to actually talk to her redhead. She couldn't wait.
