A Trail of Dust Particles – Alain's Journey
(Extra) Poem: Strength
Strength seemed like a simple thing at first
but it scattered: a ball of dust that broke
before his fingers brushed its curve
and scattered: dust particles on the wind
he chased, and somewhere unseen, they came
together once more while he pursued that one…
And maybe it had been the wrong one
he pursued. But now that tiny star in the sky
was gone, and he'd seek the sun again:
the dust ball, all its splayed rays
on the earth
And it might be impossible in a lifetime
but the only way.
