Yo, YF54 here! Sorry for the REALLY long silence. As of Nov. 9th of 2015, i started work at a local grocery chain and boy let me tell you, it is pure HELL. So much so that i have even less time to write my stories. Well, i manged to get this chapter wrapped up on one of my rare three days off. So enjoy!

Far from the island of Duel Academy is the mainland. The night was still and silent, the city of Domino was in a state of peace and serenity save for the cars and late night party goers. The peace was shattered by twin explosions coming from the outskirts of the city.
Two duelists staggered back in fear on their faces.
"What was that? Was that suppose to be your best? HA!" A cold, cruel voice snarled.
The figure revealed himself to be a tall man with a black high collar jacket, a black dome hat and red dueling gloves. Another feature of his was two lines over his eyes making him look like a mime but far more sinister.
"Indeed...we have face much more worthy challenges then you two pests..." Another voice said in cold monotone as he lifted up a item that was shaped like an upside down pyramid. "Now to the Shadow Realm with you both!"
The pyramid glowed brightly as the two duelists screamed out in fear. The light revealed a second figure with the first. The second figure looked like the first in terms of clothing. High collared black jacket with a wide brim hat on his head. He wore a mask on his face and a specialized duel system on his jacket. After the two were on the ground, he looked at his partner.
"This city has been nothing but a waste of time, Panik." Figure two said making the now identified Panik snort.
"An understatement of the century, my friend Titan." Panik said. "The duels have not been very...filling and neither has the fear. Perhaps it is time to seek out new hunting grounds."
Titan nodded before he thought of something.
"Panik...what do you know about Duel Academy?"

The waves lapped at the pier as a lone figure looked out at the water. The wind made his dark blue hair wave in the wind along with the trails of his coat. The wind also carried the sound of high heels clicking made him turned around. He smiled slightly at the sight of Alexis as she walked up to him.
"Alexis." The figure said in greeting.
"Zane." Alexis replied as she stood next to him.
The duo sat in silence for several minutes before Zane broke the silence.
"There's been rumblings that you and that new Blue, Jaden, are seeing one another," Zane commented making Alexis bristle.
"We're not dating, Zane. Don't think you can be like Atty as a 'Master of love'," Alexis snarled back making Zane wince. "Jaden...is an old friend, that's all."
"Hm. I see." Zane said off-hand. "Well, be careful of him...he's got an attitude problem."
Alexis huffed.
"Only against Princeton and what his family did during the Cult War."
Zane turned his ice stare onto her.
"He's still a problem in the Blue dorm...as is his brother," Zane said coldly. "People like them should have been put away after that war so they could get adjusted."
That made Alexis's eyes narrow as she stared right back at Zane with her own cold stare.
"Just Jaden and Jason or all survivors?" Alexis quipped. "Because if its the latter rather then the former...then you have to put me in too..."
Alexis turned and walked away. Zane, however, had one last question.
"What do you mean by that?"
The answer he got made his heart skip two beats.
"I'm a survivor of that war...so if you class Jaden and Jason as problems, then so am I."
With that final word, she walked off into the darkness, leaving Zane with his shocked thoughts.

Jaden sat at his desk bored out of his mind. Professor Stein's lectures, while interesting, lacked energy due to his monotone voice. He was able to stay awake of course but others...not so much. Many of them were napping, mostly Ras and Slifers with the odd blue here and there. The only other one that wasn't asleep was Jason but Jaden did not feel like talking to him. Strange how only two weeks of normality had come to the island and that had Jaden on edge.
It was an age old statistic; if something was going right and your way...it meant that shit was about to hit the fan. Though how and when was left to fate.
The bell ringing interrupted Jaden's thoughts as he got up automatically and left, the feeling not staying behind.

In the twilight hours of the day after Jaden had his feeling, a small motor boat docked on the southeast side of the island and two giants got out of it. Panik smiled as he took in a deep breath of air.
"Ah...the smell of new prey...its a scent I will always relish," Panik said with a wicked grin.
Titan stepped up next to him and smirked.
"Indeed. We strike tonight." Titan said as he adjusted his duel apparatus.
Panik merely nodded and the two went into the forest to wait for the cover of darkness.

Night approached swiftly on the island and the inhabitants were unaware of the two players of darkness prowling around. As such, the series of explosions made everyone stand up and take notice. In particular, two boys.
In the dark, run-down dorm, Jason sat up and looked out the window to a column of smoke.
"Odd...why would someone be dueling this close to curfew?" The Decepticon Overlord asked, genuine curiosity on his face.
The sound of two screams spurred the monster in human flesh into action as they were NOT part of the normal duel.

At the Slifer Dorm, Jaden looked up see the same smoke appear. He looked to Syrus, Alexis, and Chumley.
"Something's not right guys...its too close to curfew for duels to take place." Jaden explained.
"Yeah...so, what's it all about?" Syrus asked when a pair of screams echoed over the island.
The trio looked at each other before taking off.

More explosions and screams made Jason swearing up a storm as he dropped the two injured duelists he had found at the infirmary. Nurse Fontaine quickly came and demanded to know what was going on. Jason looked at her.
"I do not have a fucking clue!" Jason snarled before he turned to go.
As he did, the door opened and several people carrying bodies made him freeze. His twin with Rhodes, Truesdale, and Outback with four other unconscious made him snap in realization.
The island was being attacked and the students were the targets.
"Alert whatever security this island has! Someone is on the island and attacking the students!" Jason barked to Fontaine who paled in shock. "Prime, on me! We've got some hunting to do!"
Jaden didn't say a thing, he just rushed after Jason. As they left, more students came with more knocked out bodies.
"LISTEN UP! DO NOT GO OUT ALONE! DUEL ACADMEY ISLE IS UNDER ATTACK BY UNKNOWN PERSON OR PERSONS! STAY IN GROUPS AND DO NOT ENGAGE THEM! ALERT ANYONE OUT ALONE TO GET TO EITHER THE ACADMEY OR THE DORMS!" Jaden shouted to the incoming students.
They stared at the two before Zane barged in.
"You heard him. Do it! PDA's, now." Zane barked in a steely voice.
Several of the students began to do so and alerted their fellow classmates and friends. Zane turned around to ask what was the plan, but Jason and Jaden were long gone.

Jason rushed through the forest as another explosion rocked the island. He swore at two screams before silence. Jason got into a clearing and stopped dead. On the ground were two Obelisk Blues, both males. Jason looked around, trying to spot the attackers. The silent forest was all that he saw. That was what had him on edge; the forest was dead quiet and that was never a good thing. The snapping of a twig made the leader react.
He spun around and jumped back at the sight of a massive being of a man who had pounced at the spot where the Leader had been. The man cursed as he stood up. Jason saw the person in the moonlight and snarled in recognition.
"Aren't you Panik? An Eliminator from the Duelist Kingdom tournament?"
The man chuckled darkly.
"Indeed I am. I was in the employ of Maximilian Pegasus but after I lost to that shrimp, Yugi Moto, I was in a coma for fifteen long years. I have a lot of victims to catch up on." Panik said with a crazed grin. "And what better place then here at this Duel Academy?"
Jason grunted as he stood up.
"Judging by the massive explosions, you're not alone. Where's your partner in slime?"
All Panik was laugh.
"If you want to find out, you'll have to catch me first!"
The former eliminator took off in a dead sprint in a direction Jason knew all too well.
The path to his dorm.

Jaden had lost sight of his twin after another series of explosions and screams echoed through the forest forcing him to take a detour. He had found another student and brought him to a nearby patrol. He could only swear as more and more were brought in with two to three duelists having their disks on and ready to duel. He directed them inside when he spotted movement out of the corner of his eye. He saw a glint of metal and a shadow moving swiftly. He took after the figure with Syrus, Alexis, and Chumley shouting after him.
He ignored them as he continued to follow after the figure. He chased after him in the forest until they got to clearing. The figure stopped and turned around to him. Jaden skidded to a stop and and looked at the figure. The tall black overcoat with the duel disk system built in with a wide brim hat on his head. The mask though, rang a lot of memories to Jaden.
"That mask...the last time I saw that mask I had defeated a supposed shadow duelist who was targeting survivors of the war..." Jaden said aloud making the figure look at him in shock.
He saw this mask?! But that would mean...Titan thought in alarm.
"Optimus Prime?" He asked in a quiet tone.
Jaden froze at the voice. It was familiar but at the same exact time different.
"Kronos..." Jaden said coldly.
'Kronos' chuckled.
"Not exactly. Still, I'm shocked that you recall my father's stage name. I am Titan." The now identified Titan said with a wicked grin.
Guess the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. Jaden thought before speaking.
"So why are you here?"
Titan laughed.
"Why else? To hunt..." Titan said as there was a rustling behind him.
The two turned to see Jasmine, Mindy with Syrus, Chumley and Alexis.
"See? There he...is..." Jasmine started before the words died on her lips at seeing Titan.
Titan moved before Jaden could react. The bigger man hit the necks of Mindy and Jasmine with both his arms, easily tossed both onto one of his shoulders, struck Syrus and Chumley to the side before knocking Alexis out as well and picked her up. The big man cast a glance back and laughed as he ran into the forest.
"Catch me if you can!"
Jaden didn't hesitate. He went after the big man to the one place he was always aware of but never gone.
The Abandoned dorm.

The two shadow duelists arrived at the run-down dorm and without thinking rushed in. Jason arrived at the dorm with Jaden and the two Slifers right behind him. The two looked at one another.
"Status?" Jason demanded/asked.
"I was chasing the attacker...a man whose name is Titan and the son of Kronos." Jaden replied blandly. "You?"
Jason ignored the second question as he zeroed in on the second name. It made him hiss in disgust. Kronos was a slave duelist...he dueled and captured the loser to sell as slaves. His work was REALLY big during the cult war since it was him that supplied the Cultists with their sacrifices. He shuddered at what the son was like.
"Jason, what about you?" Jaden asked again making Jason wake up from his thoughts.
"Titan's not the sole attacker...he's got a particular partner...Panik, a former Eliminator from the Duelist Kingdom Tournament fifteen years ago." Jason replied. "He was last heard to be in a hospital bed in a coma...guess he woke up and has gone back to his old ways."
Jaden swore mentally at the name. He knew of it thanks to the DVD of the Duelist Kingdom duels before the war. Panik and Titan were two peas of the same damn pod; both were supposed shadow duelists that took pleasure in taking down anyone in their way.
Jason watched his twin mentally think before something struck him as odd. He did a count.
Syrus Truesdale.
Chumley Huffington.
Jaden Yuki.
Where was...
"Where's Rhodes? She's joined at the hip with you three now."
Jaden scowled.
"Titan got her along with Jasmine and Mindy." Jaden explained. "So where'd they go?"
Jason jerked a thumb at his dorm.
"Panik ducked into my Dorm...no doubt this Titan did as well," Jason said making Jaden nod. "They did their homework while they were here...come on Prime."
The quartet rushed into the dorm, two of them ready to duel.

Jason and Jaden followed the strewn wreckage of the two to a door. Jason looked at the door in slight shock.
"That wasn't there before," He muttered before gaining a spark of knowing in his eyes. "So that must be..."
He didn't finish it as he rushed down the door making his twin look at the space in shock. He stood there for a few seconds before chasing after Jason, Syrus and Chumley hot on his heels. They went down a flight of stairs and came to a tunnel where Jason was looking intently at the walls. He was mumbling rapidly and in a language only Jaden knew. It was a mock language of Cybertronian, a code from the Cult war. Jason obviously didn't trust Syrus and Chumley to keep this to themselves. As much as it pained him, Jaden knew his brother was right. He looked at the inscriptions and saw an upside down pyramid.
"The Millenium Puzzle...but that was on Yugi's neck until five years ago..." Jaden mumbled in the same tongue to himself when Jason sped forward again down the tunnel.
Right, Titan, Panik. Focus!
Jaden hurried after his twin. Syrus panted.
"Not again!"
"I'm not built for running!" Chumley whined.

The squad came to an atrium and saw three coffins with Alexis, Jasmine, and Mindy in them. Titan and Panik were eying the three before a clearing throat made them turn back to the door.
"Ah, so the heroes have arrived." Panik said with a chuckle.
Jason spoke up at that.
"You're mistaken," Jason said without any emotion. "Prime is the Hero."
Titan looked slightly put off before looking at Jason.
"Then what are you?"
Jaden shuddered at the creepy grin his brother was giving. The glint of shark teeth in the torch light made his face more demonic looking like an Oni from ages past. The phrase that came from the mouth made him all the more terrifying as the shadows lengthened.
"I'm your worst nightmare made flesh."
Needless to say, Titan felt a slight chill on his back at the proclamation. Panik, on the other hand, simply looked excited. He readied his dueling arm and laughed.
"Prepare to lose your minds in this tag duel," Panik said with a grin. "For this is a shadow game!"
Titan, after getting over his slight fear, readied himself as well. Jason and Jaden jumped into the small depression in the room and activated their disks. Panik laid out the requirements.
"My partner Titan will start," Titan explained before pointing at Jaden. "Then him, then me and finally you."
Jason snorted at Panik pointing at him last. Panik continued the explanation.
"Should you lose, you will be both be sent to the shadow realm and the three behind us will become slaves, never seen by the public again."
That got Jaden's blood boiling; Alexis, his girlfriend ex though she was, as a slave to some over-bloated man who had more sense down below then up top. Jason caught the expression and a spark of fear flitted across his face at the dark look on his brother's face. He quickly schooled his face and looked at the duo.
"If you lose, you'll be lost to the darkness for all eternity. Can you deal with that again, Panik?" Jason asked.
The question made Panik freeze up at the memories of the darkness that Yugi had sent him to fifteen years ago before he shook his head to clear it. He scowled at Jason's successful attempt at getting into his head.
"You cur! You shall soon know of the power of Panik!" The former eliminator shouted as he drew his five with his partner doing the same. Jason and Jaden drew as well.
Titan & Panik: 4000/Jason & Jaden: 4000
Titan simply let his hand out as his duel apparatus slid a card out. The Shadow man looked at it before sliding it onto an MZ.
"I summon Vilprawn Archfiend in defense mode."
(Vileprawn Archfiend - LV/**, Attribute/DARK, ATK/1200, DEF/200, Type/Fiend/Effect. The controller of this card pays 500 Life Points during each of his/her Standby Phases (this is not optional). When this card is targeted by the effect of a card controlled by your opponent, when resolving the effect, roll a six-sided die. If the result is 3, negate the effect and destroy the opponent's card. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot attack any Archfiend Monster Cards on your side of the field except "Vilepawn Archfiend".)
Titan took three cards and placed two of them facedown with the third going into the Field Spell zone.
"I set two and play Pandemonium."
(Pandemonium – Type/Spell/Field. Neither player has to pay Life Points during the Standby Phase for "Archfiend" monsters. Each time a player's "Archfiend" monster(s) is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, except by battle, that player can add 1 "Archfiend" monster from their Deck to their hand that is a lower Level than the destroyed card.)
"I will end at that."
Jaden nodded as he took his turn. He drew when Jason spoke up.
"Prime, don't get too angered at their words and actions...they want you to be unfocused and sloppy." Jason calmly stated as he stared down the two.
"Slience you brat!" Panik snarled making Jason scoffed.
"Last I checked, talking to your partner wasn't against the rules."
Jaden nodded before looking at his hand. He chose a set of cards and played.
"I summon my Autobot Infantry in defense mode and set two cards."
(Autobot Infantry – LV/****, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/1800, DEF/1600, Type/Machine. One of the most luckless Autobots around. They are blown up, smashed, mutilated and torn apart by Decepticons every cycle. But even so, they will continue on their mission to help Optimus Prime.)
A red machine arose from the card and put its arms in front of its chest. Jaden nodded and ended his turn. Panik snarled as he took a card out from the top of his deck. He scanned the cards before settling on three.
"I summon my Archfiend Calvary in attack mode and set two cards as well."
(Archfiend Calvary – LV/****, Attribute/DARK, ATK/1900, DEF/0, Type/Fiend/Effect. If this card on the field is destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 "Archfiend" monster in your Graveyard, except "Archfiend Cavalry"; Special Summon that target. It cannot attack this turn.)
A horse with a rider on its back jumped out of the card and onto the field. The horse was dark blue with white, glowing eyes. The rider was worst; it was a skeleton wearing blood red armor in the form of muscle and sinew with a lance on its right arm. Twin glowing red orbs met Jaden and Jason as the horse whined. Jason grunted as Panik ended.
"Wonderful...Titan's deck comprises of the Original Archfiend cards while Panik's has the new supporting cards." He muttered as he drew.
He checked his cards and the one he drew before grabbing four cards.
"I first play Ground bridge allowing me to play Soundwave from my hand. Now, while I give up my ability to attack, I can still see what you two are hiding. Go, Interface!"
Four cables detached from Soundwave and latched onto the four cards. Soundwave's screen lit up with the four cards showing them to be Battle-Scarred, Archfiend's roar on Titan's side. Panik's showed Archfiend Trace and Crack'd Mirror. Jason nodded as two set cards appeared behind Soundwave.
"That's generally what I thought. Back to you Titan."
Titan knew that Jason was the cautious one and none of their captives had ties to him. So he would focus on the one that did. He drew and looked up at Jaden.
"I will take great pleasure in tracking down some of my father's old contacts," He commented off-handily. "They will be interested in the one female who took them down."
Jaden tensed slightly as Jason looked at Titan with a glare. What was that fool doing?! If the dark look was anything to go by, IT was stirring and Titan was playing with fire. Jason's relief was profound when Jaden spoke.
"Counting your chickens well before they hatch Titan?" Jaden sneered. "Kronos was much better at that then you."
Titan merely gritted his teeth as he played his turn.
"I play the Infernal Queen Archiend in attack mode!"
(Infernal Queen Archfiend – LV/****, Attribute/DARK, ATK/900, DEF/1500, Type/Fiend/Effect. The controller of this card pays 500 Life Points during each of his/her Standby Phases (this is not optional). When this card is targeted by the effect of a card controlled by your opponent, when resolving the effect, roll a six-sided die. If the result is 2 or 5, negate the effect and destroy the opponent's card. As long as this card remains on the field, during each Standby Phase, increase the ATK of 1 Archfiend Monster Card by 1000 points until the End Phase.)
A female skeleton based monster arose from a cloud of smoke and fire, sending her cape billowing out as she screamed. Syrus and Chumley grabbed their ears in agony as the twins stared it down. Titan slid a card into his S/T zone and ended his turn. Jaden began his with earnest when Titan interrupted.
"Thanks to it being the Standby Phase, I can increase an Archfiend's Attack power by a thousand...and I chose my Queen."
Queen – ATK/900 + 1000 = 1900
Damn! There went that. Jaden thought as he looked at his hand and sighed. It was a terrible hand. He had no choice.
"I pass."
Panik grinned as he drew a card. He looked at it and grinned wickedly.
"I play the continuous spell card, The Dark Area!"
(The Dark Area – Type/Spell/Continuous. The controller of this card can play Monsters Face down in Attack Mode. The monster summoned in this manner is treated as Face-Up.)
"Thanks to this card, I can play my Monsters in attack mode facedown. So you best be careful when you attack." Panik gloated as he slide a card onto the MZ facedown and ended his turn.
Jason just chuckled as he drew.
"Not a problem. Soundwave's effect smart guy."
The screen lit up with an young girl in clothing that depicted royalty.
"Archfiend Heiress...weak, but its effect makes it a problem," Jason mumbled aloud. "I play another Ground Bridge and summon from my hand, Knock out."
The red sports car revved out onto the field and transformed, looking around.
"Ugh, can this place be anymore filthy?! Seriously, I think that dirt just growled at me!" Knock Out griped.
"Enough griping. Knock Out! I use Quick Attack to bypass the side effect of my Ground Bridge for my Medical officer. Knock out, Attack that Vileprawn!"
Knockout rushed the monster with his Eleco-Staff and gave the small monster the biggest shock of its life. It exploded into several digital pixels and Knock out jumped back. Jason pressed on.
"Soundwave, attack! Take out Titan's Infernal Queen!"
The unoffical SIC nodded as his arm changed into a blaster. He aimed it at the queen making Panik smirk.
"You seemed to have forgotten about my facedown, go Crack'd Mirror!
(Crack'd Mirror – Type/Trap/Normal. Actiavte this card when your opponent's monster declares an attack on a "Archfiend" Monster. Destroy all monsters in Face-up attack position. Then for each monster destroyed, Special Summon "Archfiend" monsters whose Star Level is equal to or less then the destroyed monster.)
The card showed itself to be like Mirror Force but there was a crack in it and the image of Terrorking Archfiend peering through the crack. Panik laughed as the attack was blasted out.
"Thanks to this trap, all of your monsters will be destroyed and we'll gain the field advantage! Say good night!"
"WRONG!" Jason interrupted. "Reveal trap card, Sonic Pulse!
(Sonic Pulse – Type/Trap/Normal. You can only activate this card if "Soundwave" is in play. Negate the effects of 1 spell or trap card that would destroy 2 or more cards in play and destroy it. Then you can Special Summon 1 "Laserbeak" from your hand or deck.)
Soundwave sent out a massive screech from his Visor, cracking the trap card and destroying it. The blast struck true on the Queen the intense heat searing both Titan and Panik. A small metal bird appeared next to Soundwave.
"Thanks to Sonic Pulse, I can play Laserbeak on the field."
(Laserbeak – LV/**, Attribute/DARK, ATK/300, DEF/300, Type/Machine/Union. Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 "Soundwave" you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. While equipped by this effect, the equipped monster gains 700 ATK and DEF. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle, destroy this card instead.)
"I equip it with Soundwave to have him gain seven hundred extra points."
Soundwave: ATK/2300 → 3000
Panik & Titan: 3600/Jason & Jaden: 4000
"Nice, they got the lead!" Syrus cheered.
"Yeah, but this duel is just getting started, Sy. Panik isn't one to take a blow like that without something up his sleeve." Chumley said, knowing how Panik operated as he had given a speech on it for his Duel History class.
Chumley was right. Panik did not looked pleased with the counter trap. Jason grinned at the turn of events and grabbed another card, sliding it into his S/T zone.
"I'll set another card and end."
Panik tore of his top card and looked at it. He grinned making both twins go on edge.
"I tribute my monster for this one, facedown attack mode of course!"
The facedown card was replaced by another and made the two scowl. That spell card was really getting annoying and fast. Panik ended his turn and Jaden took over. He drew, looked at his card and nodded.
"I tribute my infantry drone for Arcee in attack mode."
A blue bike roared onto the field as the infantry drone fell apart. The bike raced around a bit before transforming into a female looking robot.
(Arcee – LV/*****, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/2100, DEF/1800, Type/Machine/Effect. Once per turn, you can chose 1 random card in your opponent's hand. Send it to the card graveyard.)
The femme looked at Jaden and then turned to his partner. She let out a shocked gasp at seeing Jason but she schooled her features. She focused on the opponents in front. Jaden spoke.
"I use Arcee's effect. Once a round, I can chose a card in your twos hand at random and it gets sent to the grave. Arcee, take it away!"
The blue Autobot nodded as her right arm changed into pistols and charged up. She took aim at Titan and fired off a blast. The blast tore through a card, a secondary hologram showing an image of the card.
The card showed a massive fiendish monster sitting on a throne with two smaller fiends bowing down to it. Jason laughed.
"Good shot Prime. You took down Titan's Archfiend Emperor, the first lord of Horror."
Titan gritted his teeth at the lost of one his more powerful fiends. He motioned for Jaden to continue to which the leader did.
"Course, that was just Arcee's effect, so here's her attack! Go, take down..." Jaden started before trailing off as he recalled the spell. He didn't know the full attack power of the facedown monster. "On second thought, I'll end my turn with a facedown."
Panik scowled but he drew his card. He looked at it and then at Titan. Titan nodded. Panik grinned.
"I play the TerrorKing Archfiend in face-up attack mode!" Panik roared.

Panik ended his turn, looking at the leader. Jason scowled at the face-up monster. It was a simply bait tactic, either he or Prime would attack the Terrorking and leave their monsters wide open to an attack from the facedown card. He drew his card, his mind processing several plans before he looked at the card he had drawn. His eyes went wide before he smirked.
"Alright, first up, I'll use Soundwave to see what nasty surprises you have in store."
The cables reached out and latched onto the facedowns. Sound's visor lit up showing the monster and trap card. The trap was another Crack'd Mirror trap while the monster was Archfiend Giant. Jason smirked.
"I play the Resonace Blaster Equip spell to Soundwave."
The familiar and slender gun appeared on Soundwave's arm. Jason grinned.
"Attack Soundwave. Take down Panik's Archfiend Giant!"
Soundwave nodded as his cables lashed out making Panik smirk.
"Fool! You played into my second Crack'd Mirror trap! With this, all your monsters are gone!"
Jason returned the smirk with one of his own. Panik wondered about the smirk until he recalled the Blaster. Too late, he realized the counter plan as his trap was destroyed and his monster soon followed letting his shared Life points deplete.

Panik growled at the loss of points. Syrus then noticed that the arms and legs of the two, prompting him to freak. Chumley followed suit. Jaden and Jason ignored it, focusing on the duel. Knock out was sent in again and he tore through the Terrorking making them lose even more points.

The two shadow dealers were not happy. They had just lost nearly half their LP and hadn't put a dent in their opponent's LP. So with a discreet glance at each other, they triggered the smoke bombs.
Jaden and Jason started coughing as smoke invaded the room.
"SLAG! Those cheating, two-timing bastards!" Jason swore as he lost sight of the two.
"ALEXIS!" Jaden roared as he rushed through.
Titan and Panik smirked as they turned to the three coffins.
"With these three we'll make a fortune." Panik said with a grin.
"Indeed...though I may keep the blonde one...she did date Prime if only for a while. Revenge for taking my father from me."
Panik nodded in agreement. Before they could grab the trio, however, the smoke vanished as an Eye of Anubis appeared on the ground glowing. Titan looked at the ground in shock.
"That's...new."
Jason saw the same eye and hissed.
"Not good...the shadow realm is awake again."
Sure enough a dome of darkness covered the four. Panik looked around in shock.
"Titan...is this your doing?"
It was not Titan that answered but Jason.
"No, it isn't. This dorm was dedicated to the study of the Millenium Items; The Eye, Puzzle, Scale, Necklace, Rod, Ring and Key. The people here tried to recreate them...they failed in recreating the items themselves but got similar items from the shadows. But it came with a cost, opening a portal to the Shadow Realm and trapping them all within."
Titan dismissed it, but Panik looked afraid. He had seen the power of the Puzzle fifteen long years ago and knew better then to dispel the story. It also helped that several dark creatures emerged.
They were shadows but they were hunched over like the hunchbacks, jagged like teeth, long tongues, long arms and legs with bloated bellies and white for eyes. The marched on the group of four when two bright flashes came from Jaden and Jason.
Before them stood their namesakes, Optimus Prime and Megatron, weapons at the ready.
"BEGONE FOUL BEASTS. LEAVE THESE TWO." Optimus said, his voice gentle, but reflecting a will of steel.
"TAKE NO MORE STEPS DAMNED SOULS!" Megatron snarled as he slashed away several of the beings.
The nightmare beings screamed and fell away from the two. Soon though, the large contingent of the dark beings turned on Titan and Panik. The two tried their damnedest to fend them off, but to no avail. The shadows sunk into the two and their eyes became red, a black aura coming off them.
"JaSON and JaDEN YuKI. To escape this plane, you must finish the duel but shall either of you lose, you will be trapped and these two will be free." The two said in perfect sync with one another.
Jason scoffed.
"Like that is going to happen. Game on!"
The duel resumed with Shadow Panik drawing.
"I summon ArCHFIEND'S KnIGHT in attack mode."
(Archfiend's Knight – LV/****, Attribute/DARK, ATK/1900, DEF/1900, Type/Fiend. A hellish being that is the Footsoldier of the Archfiend Army, they ride into the enemy lines without care to their own person.)
A massive armored being covered in spikes, wielding a mace and two jet black wings emerged from the shadows. Jason instantly went on guard at the sight of the weak monster as held up another card.
"I will now power him up with my DiABLO BlADE."
(Diablo Blade – Type/Spell/Equip. This card can only be equipped to an "Archfiend". Increase the equipped monster's ATK by 900. During each Standby Phase, the controller of this card must pay 1000 LP (this is not optional).)
A black and twisted blade erupted from the card and into the knight's hand. His power went from 1900 to 2800. Both teens scowled but Jaden got ready.
"KnIGHT, attack KnOCK OuT."
The hellish being charged the medical officer when Jaden triggered one of his facedowns from several turns ago.
"Go, Negate Attack!"
A warped wall appeared before the Knight and stopped the blade from scratching Knock Out. The medic Con sighed in relief.
"Thanks, if your brother wasn't such a good user of us, I'd ask if I could defect." The spirit said making both Jason and Megatron scowl.
"We'll be sure to take that as a compliment." The two said at the same time making Knock Out wince.
Jaden ignored the banter between the group as ended his turn making it his. He drew a card and looked at it, not expecting anything big. His eyes went wide and he looked at Jason. The Decepticon gang leader caught it and nodded. Jaden steeled himself.
"Alright, I first play Ground Bridge to bring out Arcee's Commander on Earth, Optimus Prime!"
The Giant spirit stepped onto the field as the card appeared before vanishing. Jaden didn't let up as he played a card in the S/T zone.
"I now play the Equip Spell, the STAR SABER SWORD!" Jaden roared as the sword fell into the earth in front of Optimus. "Light our Darkest Hour, sacred blade of Primus!"
The robot leader grasped the hilt, making the blade glow with blue fire. The sword slid out of the stone easily and the Prime gave it a few practice swings as his power grew. smirked.
"So what? OpTIMUS PrIME cannot attack due to your Ground Bridge Spell."
Jaden just smirked.
"Then its a good thing I have this. Mischief of the Time Goddess, this'll bounce us ahead one turn and make it my battle phase again...without that little handicap."
Both and stood in shock at the four thousand two hundred attack powered monster. Jason nodded in approval as he mentally seethed that he needed to get a card similar to that. Jaden looked at the Shadow possessed humans and then at Optimus.
"End this, old friend."
The giant nodded as he charged forward, barreling down on the lone Knight monster, the sword swath in fire. The Knight tried valiantly to block or parry the sword but the Diablo Blade shattered as the Sword came down in a arc, cutting through the demonic monster. Several streams of light erupted from the monster before the monster itself exploded taking the two's LP down with it.

"If you both think Shadow Panik is going to win this, forget it." Jason said as the two managed to get back up. "The Saber Sword takes the attacking power of that monster it just slayed and reduces your LP by that monster's original ATK...and since Knight's was 1900."
"You lose." The four said as one.
S.T & S.P LP: 0/M&O: 4000
Two holes of darkness opened up beneath the two and they were pulled in screaming and clawing to get away. A hole opened up behind the twins and they leapt out, not sparing a second glance at the two doomed men. After they got out, the dome turned into an orb and fell in on itself before shattering. Despite the irate amount of questions coming from Chumley and Syrus, they grabbed the three girls and got out as a rumble indicated something had jarred loose...or the shadows were mad that they were still there.
So they did the smart thing and bolted.

After the stairs were blocked off by Jason, he gave a picture to the six.
"Give that to Elita...I'll be researching what went down there and see if there is some way to reverse it..." The Con leader said, his voice tight with fear and worry, something that made everyone nervous. "Prime...whatever went down in there...I think we've just got an idea of whats to come."
Jaden could only nod.
Well, that's done. And sad to say, the silence will most probably crop up again due to work scheduling. It's VERY chaotic right now. So, Peace out!
