Disclaimer = I don't own Digimon (!)
A/N: And here is chapter five, I hope you are enjoying it!
Chapter 05
Relena looked at Renamon and was about to get her to help out Dracomon.
"I don't need the help right now, Relena!" Ryan yelled angrily.
"Go Renamon, help Dracomon out!" she called out, watching the yellow fox leap across the rocks.
"Diamond storm!" Hundreds of ice like shards scattered the water.
The Digimon that Relena assumed was Calmaramon, dived under the surface. Renamon and Dracomon scanned the water but it was still, apart from the waves which lapped up against the rock and pier.
"Acid ink." Black ink shot out the water towards Dracomon.
"Dracomon watch out!" Ryan yelled.
"It is up to you two now," Keenan added helplessly. "I would try to help you, but without Falcomon, I'm totally useless."
"Him? You want me to help him! As if! He said he can do it himself!" Relena snapped. "I don't see why he's here. I'm far better than he is at fighting."
"Hey! You're one to talk," Ryan snarled. "Go on Dracomon. Do your thing."
"Right, Ryan. G shurunen!" Dracomon held in the energy and let it build up. His horn began to glow and he stumbled back as Calmaramon flung herself out of the water.
"Not so fast. Titanic tempest!" Calmaramon spun around like a whirling dervish, withdrawing itself into its body.
"Power paw!" Renamon slammed into the spinning Calmaramon, delivering many kicks and swipes.
"Yeah, go Renamon!" Relena leapt up in the air. "See Keenan? I'm way better than him." She glared at Keenan, waiting for him to answer, but he remained silent. "So that's what you think, is it?" Relena folded her arms. "Just finish this whole charade Renamon."
"What has he done wrong, Relena?" Keenan asked, shielding his face from the water that sprayed into the air. "This is way too dangerous guys."
"It's just him, he thinks he is the best, and he's not. He's just going to get me into trouble. He snapped at me first anyway."
"That's it! That's why you're mad at him. My g- Relena, that is not the point!" Keenan yelled. "You're acting like a child."
Relena noticed Renamon and Dracomon attacking the creepy looking Calmaramon together and the Digimon screamed out.
"No! Two puny rookies cannot defeat me." An egg dropped down to the ground. Keenan was first to react and ran towards it catching it in mid-air. He walked back inside, past Ryan and Relena without saying a single word. Relena followed Keenan in silence to the main control room where he put the digi egg in the main portal.
"Take it away guys, let's see if it works." He nodded to Miki and Megumi and Relena turned to leave.
"Where do you think you're going?" The stern voice of Commander Sampson made Relena grit her teeth.
"Out. Out of here right now." Relena walked towards the door.
"I don't think you want to do that," Sampson warned her.
"Well, I am going to whether you like it or not Commander Sampson." Relena turned to face the Commander. "Is that okay with you, Commander?"
"Are you willing to do that, just because you find too difficult to work with Ryan?"
"What are you on about? Of course not, that is not the reason why I want to walk out thanks very much. This is all too much for me to stand in."
Relena turned back to see Thomas standing in the doorway looking a little ashamed and mortified at his half-sister's behaviour. She walked towards him.
"Relena, if you walk out of here then you're on your own. We won't be letting you back in here anytime soon. Renamon will be taken back to the digital world," Thomas warned her.
"Then it's a risk I'm willing to take, Thomas. This isn't what I wanted. I want equality between humans and Digimon. This is far from it."
"Miss Relena, wait!" Renamon called out, but Thomas stopped the yellow fox shaking his head from side to side.
"She just needs some time alone, Renamon. Don't worry about her."
"There is another Digimon, it has just come through the barrier. It's right here! In the building!" Miki called out, typing away frantically on her work panel as the alarms went off.
"Miss Relena?" Renamon said as the alarms suddenly went silent. She dashed along the corridors until she saw the yellow digivice lying on the floor. "Miss Relena." Renamon dropped to her knees.
"She'll be fine wherever she is Renamon." A hand rested on her shoulder causing the Digimon to gasp. Renamon looked up to see Thomas smiling down at her.
"Something's wrong though. I can't feel her presence anymore, at all," Renamon said, daintily picking up the yellow digivice and holding it in her palm. "Thomas, I really think Relena has gone. She isn't here anymore. In this world."
"You. Can't be serious." Thomas pulled out his phone, dialled Relena's number and held the phone to his ear. His eyes grew wide after a moment and he pressed the red disconnect button. "You might be-" Thomas swallowed hard. "She isn't here. She's gone." Thomas grabbed Renamon. "Where is she?"
"You know where Miss Relena is, Mister Thomas. You have just chosen to ignore your thoughts because your heart tells you it isn't true. But Mister Thomas, there is no other place she could be, is there? What other explanation can there be?"
"Not Relena." Thomas turned and faced the wall. "Relena!" he yelled, lashing out at the wall, landing a fist on it.
"Thomas Norstein! You will pull yourself together. Your sister needs you now more than ever." Commander Sampson pulled Thomas to his feet. "She is perfectly safe, and we will find her."
Thoughts from AspiringWriterGirl = So what do you think of the story so far? Who or what has kidnapped Relena and where is she now?
