A/N; Hello everyone! So, I know that it's been a while since I've updated, and I apologize! However, I am very happy to see this story still getting hits and reviews! Speaking of reviews... care to make a simple high school author happy with a review? ;u;

Dave kneeled on the bathroom floor, the cold tile feeling foreign on his bare legs as he sat in front of the plain white toilet bowl in a baggy band t-shirt and loose boxers. He was sweating heavily, and his eyes were streaming with tears while his nose was running like a water fountain. This was one of the few times that Dave had been awoken this week from being sick, other than to get up and try and go to the bathroom and relieve himself. Bro had found Dave on the couch one day completely swamped by not feeling well, and had since been bringing him his food to his room. After he had made sure that Dave wasn't faking, of course. "I can't have you bull-shitting me just so that you can have breakfast in bed," Bro had said matter-of-factly, only a moment before Dave had accidentally thrown up on his shoes. Bro believed him after that.

Dave could feel his stomach turning and his mouth watering, like he was going to heave up his lunch once again. Dave shut his eyes tight as the feeling became more intense, and he hiccupped, coughing profusely as his throat burned, and felt it coming up. He quickly put his mouth over the rim of the toilet, barely making it this time. He felt the pressure in his stomach turning as he continued to lean his head over the toilet bowl, tears beginning to stream from his eyes and his nose burning. He coughed, finishing this session of sickness with a disgustingly sour taste in his mouth.

Dave breathed through his mouth, weakly flushing the toilet as he pushed himself off of the ground and stepping towards the sink to brush his teeth. Once finished, he leaned himself against the counter and turned on the faucet, getting a large handful of cold water and pushing it against his face in an attempt to cool himself off. He grabbed a spare washcloth from the mirrored cabinet and dabbed it on his face, getting the excess dripping water off before leaving the bathroom. He gently sat on the couch, the fans in the living room blowing air all around him in an attempt to help cool down his fever. Dave held his head in his hands for a moment, massaging his head as an effort to make his headache dissipate.

Dave almost jumped when he heard the deep voice go through the room, but relaxed when he realized it was only Bro. "You okay, lil man?" Dave nodded, not wanting to exhaust himself by even saying a single syllable. It was quiet for a moment before Dave heard Bro talk once again. "Want something to drink or eat?" Dave nodded again. "A drink, please…," he mumbled, gathering a blanket off the back of the couch to curl up in. 'Stupid fuckin' temperature changes,' Dave thought to himself, now getting chilled rather than sweltering, like he was before.

He could hear Bro messing around in the kitchen; a glass clinking on the counter, the fridge opening and closing, ice cubes being dispensed, and the loud noise, or so Dave thought, of a soda opening. Dave presumed 7-Up, since that's all he had been drinking other than water, and orange juice, much to his dismay. Even when sick, he still preferred his apple juice. Dave felt the spot on the couch next to him sink in, and he turned towards Bro, scooting a bit and taking the drink from his hands, drinking it thankfully.

"I hope you feel better, dude," Dave heard, over the noises of his slurping. "Thank you," he replied quietly, after a moment. Dave set the drink down on the small table, then gather up the blanket, scooting over more towards Bro, and curling up in his lap for comfort. He knew that if he wasn't sick, he'd be embarrassed to do such a thing. But at this point, Dave really didn't care. 'Fuck it,' were his thoughts. Bro was almost hesitant to have a sick Dave in his lap, but he gave in, feeling sorry for him and knowing that he just wanted to feel better, and to relax, as well. Bro hugged Dave closer to him, somewhat cuddling but also trying to avoid the sweaty forehead of the other blonde.

Eventually, they both dozed off, happily content with the way things were.
