"Idiot! Idiot! Idiot! Idiot! Idiot! Idiot!" Akane screamed as she smashed the training dummy relentlessly she had already lain waste to most of the boulders in the area as well, "How someone can be so thick headed *CRACK* is beyond me." She ranted as she went to pick up the now demolished training dummy that if you squinted at just right resembled her so called idiot fiancé.
Akane sighed as she stared into the painted on eyes of her would be enemy 'Ranma you're an even bigger idiot than I thought' and with that Akane dropped the head and walked away. Akane had been out in the forest for most part of the day after the first half turned into a complete and utter disaster, 'ugh just thinking about it makes me mad, but why? I was so sure me and Ranma were beyond this faze by now. I mean we have been so much nicer to one another I haven't hit him for over a month and he hasn't called me fat in about the same amount of time, Well... that was true until today,' Akane sighed again that seemed to be the only thing constant in her life.
~Meanwhile on the other side of Nerima~
"Who does she think she is HUH?! I-i-it's not like it meant anything for me either you..you.. YOU TOMBOY! All I care about is training anyway" Ranma yelled proudly before taking back on the slumped over look he'd been sporting since the afternoon "it doesn't have to be her, does it?" He whispered, but Ranma knew that it did and that hurt him the most, his heart had chosen long ago and unfortunately it had picked the violent, hard to handle, FAT!, tomboy who was also generous, kind, strong, beautiful and most of the time forgiving once she has cooled down but the worst part was that she was too damned cute for her own good. "Ugh this wouldn't have happened if she wasn't flirting with damned Ryouga all the time. "Oh but Ranma he needs us, he's all alone, he needs company can't you see that!" Ranma imitated in Akane's voice whilst fluttering his lashes innocently, suddenly disgusted in himself Ranma shook his head "puh-lease! Ryouga has Akari he will be just fine I've seen first hand all the notes jammed into his damned back pack" he spat angrily while trudging through the forest. 'This was all damned Ryouga's fault in the first place anyhow if he weren't such a clumsy twit me and Akane wouldn't be fighting'.
Akane sighed for what felt like the hundredth time that day, it was nearing on six and Ranma still wasn't home yet which was worrying since he tried to never miss a meal. Akane stared outside at the pond 'Ranma where are you?'. This fight shouldn't have caused this to happen Ranma couldn't possibly have been this upset over something that had happened so many times before it's not the first and probably not the last time, Akane abruptly stood up suddenly angry again that Ranma was acting so foolish, 'he's an idiot! ...it was just a kiss' with one more sad side glance at the door Akane walked upstairs to her bedroom.
Ranma tipped toed his way across the Tendo rooftop towards Akane's room after eating his fill at Ucchan's he felt a lot better, his cocky smirk was finally back in place with no sign of leaving after all the compliments he had received. Now it was time to restore his pride and convinced Akane it wasn't nothing even if she said it was.
"Akane, Akane, Hey, c'mon, wake up" Ranma whispered getting more annoyed per second 'what is she a damned rock' Ranma thought bitterly 'I mean here I am trying to apologise and all she is doing is sleeping was she even worried about me'. "Wake up already you thick thighed tomboy!" And with that sentence a loud *SMACK* resounded in the room "EXCUS...mph..mehh!" Ranma quickly put his hand over his fuming fiancé's mouth before she woke the whole house up, "Akane stop! Stop struggling I just want to talk to you" Akane was livid "oh so now you want to talk huh! What about when I wanted to talk but you ran away" Akane whispered harshly back at him. Ranma looked into her eyes deeply seeing the hurt that he had also caused her as well by what he had said at the time knowing that's exactly what he had wanted to do, he had wanted to hurt her to make sure he knew she still felt something for him. Now though it just caused him pain, he looked away "look Akane, I'm sorry. I went too far this time I shouldn't have said all that, none of it was true" Akane was speechless. She hardly ever if ever! Got an apology out of Ranma before and it filled her heart with glee to see Ranma coming to her so quickly and trying to fix the problem rather than avoid it, like she was afraid he was going to do she was so glad that he was willing to hear her side now though a little longer than she would of liked but it was better than waking up in the morning and finding out he'd gone on a training trip, LIKE HE DID LAST TIME, RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER FACE!.
Ranma sat patiently waiting on Akane's response he watched as her emotions played across her face there was surprise, a little shock, a bit of sadness but there was also a joy there that made her smile a smile so serene and pure that Ranma found it hard for him to catch his breath, That was until her face took on that extremely mad one that made him want to hide and never come out again. Ranma sat waiting for his life to end thinking at least he was in the right for once.
She sat shaking for a while clenching her fists trying to get herself back together when all of sudden it stopped and she whispered "Ranma" it was so quiet Ranma didn't quite catch what she was saying with him ducking for cover and all "Ah? Um I mean, yes Akane?" In a sudden movement Ranma sat up straight again trying to gauge his partners emotional state he never did know what went through her head. "Ranma, why did you run? It was just a kiss, it's not like we never kissed before by accident before, so why was this one any different? Why did you cause such a big fuss over nothing?" She inquired quietly, "Nothing! Nothing! it was not Nothing! Akane, and how you can sit here and tell me that it was, is beyond me!" Ranma was livid again "You came at me and gave me that kiss all by yourself, you-you harlot! Just because you were using me to entice Ryouga doesn't mean you can play it off as if it was an accident" Ranma denied turning a bright red. "Harlot! Me! I was not, I repeat not trying to entice Ryouga, he was simply showing me pictures of the puppies which is why I was standing so close to him and besides me and Ryouga are friends I'm allowed to be friendly with him if I so desire, you hard headed idiot!", "oh is that so than why did you call me over so sweetly than? I saw the way Ryouga's face changed from oh so happy to jealous and possessive" Ranma spat feeling defensive. "Why would Ryouga's face do that? He has Akari?" Akane answered back puzzled "And besides that's the reason why I kissed you as I was about to show you the pictures of the puppies I found one of Akari and told Ryouga I was going to show you and that's when it happened, he pushed me good naturedly and I happened to trip into you well to be more accurate, you and your lips". Akane finished hurriedly feeling embarrassed all over again but not wanting Ranma to see her blush she turned her face away just in time to miss his confused stare.
"Oh!", Ranma looked away feeling embarrassed 'so it really was an accident', Akane watched Ranma fight with his emotions and recalled a certain part of what he had said from their original fight (what's wrong with kissing me, am I so disgusting to you!) Akane looked away knowing what she had to say even if it meant she had to show more feeling than she was comfortable with knowing she and Ranma still hadn't confessed properly to one another yet, "Ranma I d-d-do want to kiss you but I want it to be on our terms" feeling uncomfortable with the sudden serious talk Akane scooted back further into her bed to try and create some distance between them. "Akane do you mean that?" Ranma asked leaning in closer and closer to her, Akane stared back at Ranma coming closer and closer to her by the second and tried to move further back realising she couldn't move any further away she grabbed her mallet "I said on our terms, not your terms!" Akane screamed burning up and turning the most brilliant shade of red you ever did see as she swung her mallet striking true hitting Ranma square in the stomach and sending Him straight out the window, To enjoy a nice cold dip in the pond. Akane heaved in and out quickly trying to get her breath back and after hearing the splash and sudden shouting of her fiancé, Akane rolled over and tried to go back to sleep.
