I was always disappointed with how General Grievous was weakened in TCW. I liked Darth Maul, but his rebirth seems too out there. A few months ago, I learned about a fan edit called "The Blackened Mantle", where Darth Maul is rebuilt into General Grievous. I took that idea and ran with it. This is a rewrite of the prequels/TCW where Maul, Dooku, and Grievous are the same character.

Following Anakin Skywalker in the years leading up to the Revenge of the Sith, this fanfic depicts the internal monologue of an emotionally distraught, tortured Jedi Knight as he descends into the dark side of the force. As parabolic dreams and his absent wife haunt his thoughts, Anakin must remain in control of his mind in order to protect an unraveling Republic.

Even though he longs for them he's unsure of how they really feel about him he decides to keep the news of his pregnancy to himself for the time being, at least until he gets settled somewhere.
