(Set after TLJ, ignores TROS. AU, includes time travel) The last Jedi, Rey, is forced to work with the mysterious Kylo Ren as a new, but rather old threat to the galaxy emerges. However, Rey discovers there's more to Kylo Ren than just a monster in a mask. Will the dyad in the Force be able to stop this threat?

It was supposed to be easy. Rey wanted her friends back and Kylo Ren was out for blood. They would work together until they accomplished their goals, and then they would go their separate ways. She never expected to travel the galaxy. She never expected to become an Empress, and she certainly never expected to fall in love.

Long before the carnage of the Mandalorian Wars, Meetra Surik was just an ordinary Jedi, one of thousands within the Order. I absolutely loved this sequence from 'Rise of Skywalker' and was inspired to write out a piece based on it with a few twists involved.

In the weeks after TLJ, I wrote a fic about Rey being a surrogate for Poe and Finn, with Ben there as support. This one touches back on that, but is TROS compliant (no Ben) and is much more fleshed out. Also, this story gets into some more angst, and situationally speaking, some ethical questions.
