"E-Edward? A-Alphonse?" The two boys were staring at Izumi as she stared at them both shocked while everyone else was wondering who the heck these two were and how Izumi knew them.
"Teacher!" The two chorused tackling their beloved teacher in a hug as she gave out a watery laugh and hugged the two.
"What are you two doing here? Are you both alright? Did something happen back in Amestris?" Izumi asked looking the both of them over as if examining for injuries, idly noticing that they were about her age now.
"We're fine! We don't know how we got here last thing we noticed was Truth appearing suddenly, and everything in Amestris is just fine." The frailer brother said grinning up at his teacher with watery eyes.
"Ed…what did you do now?" Izumi asked the shorter brother who pouted up at her.
"Why do you assume I did anything?!" The smaller one, Ed, asked pouting at Izumi who massaged her forehead as she gave him a deadpanned look.
"Because I distinctly remember a certain blond haired gold eyed boy destroying my garden when he practiced plant alchemy." Izumi said dryly and causing the boy to face fault, having completely forgotten about that.
"Izumi-chan…mind explaining who these two are and what's going on?" Sarutobi asked clearing his throat as he observed the three in confusion and curiosity.
"Well where to start…" Izumi wondered realizing she'd have to inform the old man, her grandparents, and probably the Jonin as well about her past.
"The beginning is always good." Sarutobi said motioning for everyone to get comfortable, this was likely to be a long story.
"If you insist old man but I will swear upon my headband first that everything I am about to tell you is the utter truth and nothing but it." Izumi said causing all the ninjas eyes to widen immediately as they sat straight up, to swear upon a headband was the deepest oath a ninja could make. If you lied upon your head band then your chakra would explode violently and kill you instantly.
"Alright now that that is out of the way…my name used to be Izumi Curtis and I am not a child or teenager, I am a full grown woman in the body of a teenager." Izumi said sighing as she pinched the bridge of her nose and counted down from five with her fingers. The minute she put down the final finger to make a closed fist pandemonium erupted around the room.
"How is this possible!?" Haishi Hyuuga demanded as he used his Byakugan and saw that indeed her chakra coils were that of a full grown woman although there was a strange golden color in her chakra too.
"Simple really I died in my previous life and appear to have been reborn as the girl you all know as Izumi Uzumaki." Izumi said shaking her head at all of them, to tell the truth she had no idea why she had been reborn either but there was no use in complaining about it.
"Oh yeah!" The boy Ed said suddenly as he remembered something and drew every eye in the room towards him.
"Remember what Truth said before sending us here Al? He said we'd meet a familiar and very much missed face or two! He must've meant teacher but…why'd he give us these?" Ed asked looking down at a thing of flowers in his hand that had somehow not been squished while Al nodded in agreement and took out a sheathed katana.
"I don't know big brother but he said it had something to do with what day it is…" Alphonse said thinking before turning to Izumi and asking her what day it was.
"Today is Sunday May the 12th why?" Izumi asked raising an eyebrow at the strange question. The brothers exchanged confused looks while looking down at the presents.
"I don't get it. Truth said we would know what to do with these when we found one of the familiar faces and knew what day it is but the only thing about May 12th I know is Mo…" Ed began only for his eyes to widen as he and Al exchanged startled looks and began blushing hotly. How had that damn Truth known?!
"Yes May 12th is mother's day we know. Perhaps the presents are for your mother." Haishi said rolling his eyes at the two boys who shook their heads slightly.
"Our mom died when we were kids and she's not here! T-That means we're supposed to give this presents too…" Al began turning even redder and yet somehow paling too much to Tsumes amusement.
"The only other mother figure we've had since then." Ed finished paling as well, they had never told the woman how they saw her as a second mother and now Truth had pretty much ordered them too…he hoped that she didn't kill them.
"Which is?" Shibi asked raising an amused eyebrow at the brothers while Izumi looked at them in confusion as well.
"A woman who kicks the ass of anyone that implies she's old." The brothers chorused in unision causing most of the room to snort in amusement.
"I think you'll find that most of the women in Konoha fall under that category." Shikaku said sleepily while smirking at the two boys being so uncomfortable.
"On the count of 3 Al?" Ed asked exchanging a look with his little brother who nodded and muttered about how'd they run afterwards.
"1" Ed said tensing himself to run as soon as he gave her the present.
"2." Al whimpered as he tensed and prepared to run too.
"3! Happy mother's day teacher! Please don't kill us!" The two shouted in unision before running out of the room after shoving the flowers and sword into her hands, being careful not to damage the flowers.
There was a moment of dead silence before Izumi smiled slightly while the Civilians jaws dropped and the Shinobi laughed at the boys actions.
"I'd better go thank them and let them know I won't kill them." Izumi muttered with a fond smile on her lips before she grinned wickedly as a thought struck her.
"Get back here you two!" Izumi yelled as she chased after the brothers with her presents in her hands.
