9. chasing down the brothers and hugs

(A/N: I don't own and read last chapter.)

"Get back here you two!" Izumi yelled as she chased after the brothers with her presents in her hands.

Many people on the street were confused but amused as they saw the two unknown, to them, boys running through the streets like the hounds of hell were after them…they weren't too far off on that respect.

"Get back here you two! I'm not going to hurt you!" Izumi shouted after them causing many people to nod in understanding as to why the two boys were running so fast and so panicked. Izumi was well known for chasing and kicking the ass of any male that tried to do something she didn't like, as well as several females. To see someone running like that from her was almost a weekly occurrence by now.

"Why don't we believe that?" Ed shouted back at her without daring to turn around and see how far away from her she is.

"I don't know why don't you?!" Izumi shouted back, if her hunch was right then…yes the two brothers turned to give her incredulous looks just before they ran into a wall, causing Izumi to chuckle as she dragged them off to an old abandoned training ground.

"Do what you want to us teacher but we won't apologize for seeing you as a second mother." Ed said bracing himself and staring up at Izumi defiantly when he thought she was going to hurt him as she laid her presents beside a cherry blossom tree gently. The red haired woman merely smiled and walked towards the two boys, stopping when she was just in front of them. The two brothers closed their eyes waiting for her to hit them or yell but their eyes snapped back open in shock when instead of hurting them…she hugged them both.

"I wouldn't hurt or get mad at you two for seeing me as a second mother…I've always considered you both my sons, even before my death." Izumi began hugging them tighter for a moment before backing away and smiling at the two of them brightly. Her next words shocked the brothers to their cores.

"I just wanted to thank you both for the presents. I love them…and I'd love it more if you let me adopt you both as my sons in this new world."
