Chapter 12: In the Cell Part 2: Guilt Stricken
"Urgh-hh" The black haired male exhaled, giving one last thrust before spilling everything into the body in front of him. As though all his strength had left him, he slumped forward, collapsing into the unmoving blonde.
Toya closed his eyes, releasing a sigh of satisfaction. Vaguely, he could feel a cool softness against his skin.. It felt so comfortable he just wanted to stay there forever. His hand reached out, brushing against the softness of hair. Very briefly, he ran his fingers through, gently caressing it.
"Jesus Toya.. Whatt..have you done?" A panic stricken voice reached his ears. "Gosh.. I-I better get some help.."
Strange... He wasn't aware that there was anyone around him until now..
"Guard! Somebody! I think we need some help here!" Itsuki ran back to the metal door, banging it loudly in order to attract some attention.
A force at his arm drew his attention and the man lifted himself off the ground. Toya opened his eyes.. It only took a few second for the black eyes to widen in shock as they register the sight before him.
A particular blonde lie motionlessly on the floor, both of his hands hanging loosely by his sides. His face was damped with tears that had streaked continuously for the past five minutes. Faint trails of tear stains beneath the dampness were the only tell-tale sign the number of times the blonde had cried for god knows how long.
A sinking sensation settled down his stomach. Horrified, the black eyes followed the contour of the well-sculptured face of the blonde down to his abdomen where a litter of hickeys bored into his eyes. They seemed to be illuminating against the pale pallid skin.
Toya gasped, sucking in air, a sense of foreboding struck him. Unconsciously, he relaxed his hands, removing his iron grip upon the blonde. Iron grip..? He knew the lingering sensation upon his fingers enough to know that it was the same amount of force he usually use to pin his opponent down.. just that with no restraints now. Many had complained of his strength and he would always take the extra precaution to not use his 100%. The stiffness in his fingers.. the tensed muscles upon his arms..
Did he really exert so much strength? Those black eyes further widen in shock as a sudden chill went down his spine. His fears were reaffirmed by the huge bruise upon those skins he had removed his hands from. It was yellowish-green, protruding slightly into a bulge.. the exact size of his palm.
A similar mark upon the blonde's hips made he shudder uncontrollably. A trickle of cum mixed in blood flowed down from the blonde's entrance, dripping onto the small pool of blood gathered below it.
Oh god. What have I done.
Fuck. He had no idea what had overcome him to commit such an atrocious act. Now that it's all over, every bit of detail was coming back to him. The initial whimpers.. The cries of pain.. The futile battle to pushing him away. The involuntary trembling.. The plead asking him to stop..
The shock and fear that reflected in those blue eyes he was so intrigued with upon recognizing him. Toya shuddered with dread as he remembered the one last flash back that burned in his memory behind those lust-filled eyes. It was the look of betrayal. "Kinomoto.. Stop!" He could vividly hear him struggle to talk sense into him. It was as though the scene was replaying all over again right at that instant.
"You'll definitely regret it." Words from before flooded back in to his mind as dread and anxiety filled his guts. Regret threatened to engulf him in its burning flame.
"OPEN UP!" The sound of Itsuki yelling took his attention as the loud banging upon those metal doors shook him from his thoughts.
Fai! His thoughts immediately ran back to the blonde lying motionlessly before him. No! He needed to get help! If he dies.. The thought of the blonde lying limp in a heap, all lifeless, waiting to be burn flashed in front of his eyes.
No! He won't die. He's not gonna allow it! In one swift motion, Toya lifted the unmoving body up and walked straight for the door. The body continued to lie lifelessly in his arms. There was not an ounce of response coming from the blonde. The head upon his chest rolled off slightly, slumping down in an awkward position. His arms which Toya had carefully placed on his torso slipped, falling off into the cool air and dangled loosely there.
"Open the fucking door!" Toya bellowed, just as the metal door swung open.
Toya marched forward, shoving Itsuki aside as he headed towards the door. He needed to bring the broken body to see a doctor. But before he could get out of the cell, three huge figures suddenly stood in his path, blocking the exit.
"Get out of the way!" Toya growled, eyeing the black shadows in a menacing glint. "He's injured and I'm bringing him to the medic!"
Charging forward, Toya came face to face with an in impenetrable wall of resistance. The three man gang, Matsuda, Tenko and Fujiyama stood in his path. With a huge push, shoving him backwards, Toya stumbled backward, almost crashing onto the ground.
"Put him down." A loud but sharp voice echoed from behind three. It was one filled with authority.
As though the voice triggered something in the blonde, the body began to tremble just so slightly. The hands which were hanging loosely in mid-air somehow gained enough strength to reach back to cover himself as he cowered deeper into his embrace, as though trying to protect himself from the devils of his dream.
"He needs medical help!" Toya exclaimed in exasperation, taking a step forward.
"He's not going anywhere." The voice simply stated in high command. The guards before him open up to reveal a silhouette of man against the brighter light from outside.
The blonde begun to shake violently, almost uncontrollably. Toya narrowed his eyes, squinting in attempt to identify the person which he now recognized him to be the captain of the army, Shozu. That was the position that yields the next highest authority in command after the Warmaster. The pair of black eyes widened in surprise.
"What is he doing here? Did he come here to stop this ridiculous activity?" That was the first thought that came into his mind. Now that he was no longer in heat, he could totally tell how absurd this whole situation was. Out of the corner of his eyes, he could see Itsuki suddenly returned to his 1st position pose, standing in alert with both his hand by his side before saluting.
"Leave him on the bed." Shozu commanded, eyeing them both with a gentle smirk on his face. The pair of brows then leapt in sudden realization at what was happening.
No.. wasn't here to stop this..
He was the one who initiated this. The sudden realization made him shudder as a wave of anger overwhelmed him. His body coiled in tension, preparing to lunge forward to hit the fat man.
A firm grip on his arm drew his attention and he turned to see a solemn look upon his friend's face. Very briefly, Itsuki shook his head, shooting him a warning look.
"Don't." He could almost hear his friend voice remind him. At that, his fist which was clenched in ball relaxed as he exhaled, trying to calm himself down.
Even though he may not agree with what he was doing, he was in no position to challenge the captain's authority. Defying his superior's order would only mean his own death.
Very slowly, Toya turned his body around and headed toward the bed in the corner. Although he had stopped shaking, Toya could feel the blonde's body still all tensed up. The blue eyes fluttered open briefly, meeting the black ones before shutting again. His right hand now cupped the right side of his neck while the body heaved in attempt to draw in air. "Kuro.." He whimpered. Toya eyed the blonde in ultimate sadness.
Was he waiting for Kurogane to come rescue him? That's probably not going to happen considering that fact that he was still locked up in the dungeon. The clever but dense brain began to tick to formulate a plan in his mind.
A trail of blood dripping down from the blonde followed the pair as Toya made his way to the bed. Toya could feel the hot fluid drip onto him before rolling down the side of his legs. A desolated feeling swept across him knowing that he was part of the cause of this injury. Very gently, he lowered the blonde onto the bed, careful to place him on his sides so as to not escalate the pain he has already caused him.
Registering the huge bruise and abrasion beneath the mid upon the blonde's back, the image bored into his mind. There was no doubt. The damage was inflicted when they took him on the floor. Using all his might, Toya tore his eyes away from the blonde and turned around to face the Captain.
"What are your names?"
"Kinomoto Toya" He replied in a calm voice. He knew this was coming the moment he saw the fat man enter the scene. More than anger, disgust and anguish swelled in attempt to swallow him whole. It was his let-slip that caused this unfortunate ending.
"Itsuki Hikari" He heard his friend reply in the same monotonous tone.
A defeating silence filled the air as the pair stared at their feet, awaiting their punishment. Being in the camp for so long had both of them taught to not look up in these situations. Rules are rules. There's just no benefit from breaking them.
"Get dressed and get out of here. You two are now banned from coming here again." After a long pause, the fat man finally spoke.
Toya could only bow in unison with Itsuki, muttering grudging thanks for the captain to not punish them before proceeding to put on their clothes and leave the cell.
Out of the corner of his eyes, he could see a wide smirk spread across the scarred face as a gentle creaking sound reached them from the corner. There was no doubt. The blonde had started tossing and turning again, fighting the battle they all knew he could not win.
As the door slammed shut, Toya could not help but hear the next order from Shozu to the guard monitoring this place.
"Clean him up and send in the next pair."
xXx
Toya stared in to the spot between his feet as he sat with his head slumped upon his arms between his feet.
The black-head had been sitting in that position for almost two hours crafting the details to his plan after his despicable act concerning the blonde. No matter the amount of coaxing from Itsuki could not make him move. He even skipped the afternoon training today which was supposed to be significantly important. Itsuki simply concluded that he was angry at himself for overdoing the blonde and was overacting by sulking and punishing himself for something that was not even his fault.
But the truth is, it was his fault. He had let it happen.. Again. A bubble of sadness suddenly welled within the raven as a sense of loss filled him. Memories from years ago came flooding back. It was the face of a certain grey hair looked at him with the softest and most gentle look in his eyes as he breathed his dying breath.. Memories he had wanted to put behind him.. Memories he had wanted to forget but keep coming back to haunt him in his sleep..
"It's not your fault." He said so softly, smiling gently as the pair of trembling hands reach up to touch his hair before slumping down into a lifeless form.
"Yukito.." Toya clenched his fist, shaking slight under the guilt and regret from the shadow of the past. He had failed him.
"I was by his side all along and I didn't realise it until it was too late!" He spat in animosity. The sadness within him evolved swiftly into anger as memories of the wrong he had done to the person he had cared so much flood back to him. Damn! He couldn't even protect the friend he hold so dear to..
It happened when he first joined the army when he met his soft-spoken but pretty friend some 6 years ago.
Of course Itsuki wouldn't know what happened between them. That idiot can't even be compared to the grey head.. Yukito was the nicest, most cheerful person he had ever met. Even with all the abuse taking place, he maintained a smile every day.
Toya tried to recall his smiling face.. only a blurry outline of his friend came back to him. Instead, a weeping face of a certain blonde replaced it, flashing into his mind.
Maybe that was the reason why he was attracted to Fai in the first place. The two of them were so similar in so many ways. He had seen how the blonde interact with the raven, as though not wanting him to worry. He had seen how the raven was suspicious of his strange demeanour but simply brush it away every time it happened.. just that Fai was probably a lot stronger than Yukito.. Yukito could probably never fight the way Fai fought. Yukito was the newly recruited medic back then.. Maybe that was the reason why it never occurred to him that the same unfortunate thing would happen to the blonde.
"Gosh.." Toya could not help but laugh a bitter laugh. This situation.. It's so familiar he wanted to laugh. Just that instead of him and Yukito, it's now happening to Fai and Kurogane.
No.. this time it'll be different. Toya exhaled deeply, sighing as he looked up with a new found determination in his eyes. He will not allow it to happen again.
Very slowly, he placed his hands on his knees and pushed himself up before heading back to the camp.
The plan is completed.
"Ryu!" The black-head called as the messager boy scuttled pass. "I need you to pass a message."
He could not guarantee its success in freeing Fai but at least he knew he could get Kurogane out of his confinement. With Kurogane free, he reckoned Shozu would not dare to touch the blonde too much. But whether Fai could be saved from the clutches of Shozu would probably be up to Kurogane..
Yes.. That's the loophole of his plan. If everything goes according to the plan, he probably wouldn't be around to watch over Fai. But Kurogane would definitely be out of the dungeon. It'll be a risk he has to take. There's no way to go about it. This was the best thing he can come up with.
"Toya-sama." The kid bowed politely. "What do you need me to convey?"
"I need you to pass a message to Kurogane."
"Huh? But he's locked up in the dungeon." The black eyes of the boy widened as he sputtered in surprise.
"Yes I know." Toya replied calmly, assuring the kid. "But this is important. You need to pass this message to him."
"Personally." He added, emphasizing the word.
Ryu cocked his head in confusion but awaited for the instructions.
"Tell him these exact words." The taller male spoke solemnly, looking straight into the boy's eyes." The conclusion of the meeting will not be to your liking but you need to agree to the plan."
"How.." Ryu's eyes widen in surprise at the words. He knew that there would be an important meeting coming up and was told to inform the respective people. But he was sure Toya wasn't one of them.
"I have my own sources." As though reading his mind, Toya replied sharply.
"Please, Ryu. Convey the message. I trust you to deliver them safely to the person I need."
Ryu nodded his head in understanding. He understood his own roles and responsibilities very well. As a messenger, he should only deliver to the intended person; never divulge the contents to anyone else. Even if he were to be threatened or tortured, he should still not spill a single word.. Well.. not that people would usually trust him enough to let him pass crucial messages..
Ryu beamed, a sense of purpose flooded his insides. Since Toya trusted him enough to run this errant, he was determined to do it well. Although he might not really understand what was going on. With that the boy turned heading towards the dungeons.
"Maybe you should go visit the building at the far end of the camp before this." Toya added just so briefly before the boy leaved out of ear-shot.
The young boy turned around, a quizzical look flashed across his face.
"You'll understand why I'm doing this." A small smile spread across the suave face. With that, the boy nodded his head once again. This time he headed off into the woods to his destination.
Ryu might be a little young to come into understanding of the happenings in the camp. But Toya knew he's sensible enough to know the right from wrong... Well.. maybe he just need someone on his side when he's gone.
"Now all I need to do is to talk to Mizuro." He muttered to himself, closing his eyes briefly before opening them again. Those black eyes gleaned with determination once again.
A/N:
Hi guys! It's me again! :) I'm relatively free now so i'll try to write as much as i can before i get super busy later on in the year. SO TADA! NEW CHAPTER! Haha
And so Toya becomes a major character and somehow i managed to get Yukito into the picture :D (who will Toya be without Yukito right? :P)
Anyways, this chapter is linked to Chapter 9: Visitors of the Prisoners so you guys can go back and re-read if you forgot what happened!
Some food for thoughts:
1. How is Toya planning to save Kurogane?
2. What does he mean when he say when he's gone?
3. What has anything got to do with Mizuro?
That's it for now! Jya, mata ne! :)
