Welcome back with a new chapter! Last time we were together, we saw two teams fighting to be Japan's best, and end up in a tie. But after their match, another danger is approaching, a danger from out of this world! So, let's see what happens!
Chapter 7: Aliea Academy Attacks
Everyone in Teikoku Academy kept cheering and celebrating as they rode the bus back to their home. The first years were parading the silver trophy, which was cut in half, thanks to their captain.
"That's the best trophy we ever won," Naruto said, drinking an orange sports drink. "If I do say so myself."
"You know, we could have waited for another trophy," Fudou said as he drank water.
"But this trophy is a symbol of being the new Teikoku," Naruto said as he finished the sports drink. "Hey, pass me another!"
"…Are you getting drunk?" Kidou asked.
"No, I'm pretending to be drunk," Naruto said. "It's a party. Someone has to be drunk during a party. All it needs are bowls of ramen, 'ttebayo!"
"It's always ramen with you," Fudou said with a smirk before turning to the first years, who kept passing the trophy around.
"Come on, Captain," Narukami suddenly said, causing Naruto to look at them. "Give a speech!"
"Speech! Speech! Speech!" their teammates chanted, causing Naruto to stand up dramatically.
"All I wanna say is, this moment, we proved that we don't need Kageyama to be the best, nor do we need to win! We play soccer, because we want to!"
"Yeah!"
Kakashi gave his team a proud eye smile as they celebrated. They earned this, thanks to their determination and passion for soccer.
"This trophy is gonna be displayed at our clubhouse, dattebayo!" Naruto declared, and they all agreed.
"Alright, guys, calm down," Ino said once they quiet down. "We'll celebrate more at the clubhouse. We'll be sure to cook you a biiig feast!"
"Alright!" they all cheered.
A few minutes later, the bus stopped at the school, where everyone waited for them. When they exited the bus, all the students and adults cheered, having seen an amazing match. The team paraded through the school, accepting their praises. This was the first championship they won without cheating, and it felt great.
As they made their way to the clubhouse, their three female members went to the cafeteria to start cooking. The team was eagerly waiting the food, sitting on the training field.
Naruto looked around and grinned. This is what a team should be, not puppets being controlled by one man, but people who love to play soccer.
Suddenly, his happy thoughts were interrupted when something came crashing through their ceiling, surprising everyone. The something hit their field, causing a bright light to erupt, blinding them. Once their eyes adjusted, they were shocked to see a team off odd-looking kids, dressed in strange uniforms. The one in the middle, a tanned skin, blond boy with a weird hairdo, looked around, carrying a black soccer ball.
"So, this is Teikoku Academy," he said with an unimpressed gaze. "What a letdown."
"Hey! Who are you!?" Jimon exclaimed, walking towards them.
Naruto watched as the guy looked at Jimon before dropping the ball. In a blink of an eye, Jimon flew passed them, his eyes white, the black soccer ball on his gut. The team stood in shock, taking them a minute to understood what just happened.
"JIMON!" they all exclaimed as the girls rushed in, probably hearing the commotion.
Haku and Hinata rushed towards the downed player as the team glared at the one who kicked the ball.
"That was disappointing," he said with a sneer as the ball rolled back towards him. He rolled it to his toes and started bouncing it.
"Who the heck are you!?" Naruto exclaimed angrily.
"I am Reize, and we are Gemini Storm of Aliea Academy," Reize said with a smirk as he passed the ball to his teammates. "And in case you do not know, we are aliens."
"Aliens? Fudou said in disbelief.
"If you want proof, then here," he said, snapping his fingers. One of his teammates kicked the ball towards Fudou. He acted quickly and kicked the ball. His eyes widened as he kicked the ball, and it fell, causing the ground to dent.
Fudou held on his leg tightly, grunting in pain. Naruto looked at him before at the ball. He tapped it with his foot and was shocked to see how dense it was.
"They were kicking this thing like it was nothing!" he thought in shock.
"In our planet, the gravity is stronger than that of this planet," Reize said with a smirk.
"Why are you here?" Genda asked with a glare.
"We are here to take over your planet," Reize said, shocking them. "Following your Earthly ways, we decided to take over using soccer. And we'll start by taking down every team here in Japan. We already destroyed plenty of them this morning."
Their eyes widened when they heard that. While they were playing against Raimon, these aliens already took down plenty of soccer teams.
"And now we're going to beat you," Reize said. "And if you lose, your school will pay for it."
"What!?" they all exclaimed. If they lose, then the school gets destroyed, and there was no way they were going to let that happen.
"Well, get ready to be disappointed," Naruto growled as he and others removed their jackets, wearing their uniforms. "Because we're gonna beat you, dattebayo!"
A few minutes later, Gemini Storm and Teikoku Eleven were on the field, the students seated on the bleachers, cheering for their team, not wanting their school to be destroyed. Naruto and Sakuma were in front, with Kidou, Narukami, Wataru, Sakiyama and Doumen behind them, and Gojou, Oono and Banjou, with Genda in front of the goal.
"Are you sure this is a good idea, coach?" Hinata asked, looking worriedly at the team. "Everyone recently just came from a very intense match. They're exhausted, especially Naruto-kun."
"Even if they're not tired, I doubt it'd do anything," Kakashi said, causing the girls and the players on bench to look at him in confusion. "They can't beat this team the way they are now. And Naruto knows it."
Naruto frowned as he looked at Gemini Storm. He knew they couldn't win, the team in front of him was just too strong. But they don't have a choice.
"Captain…" Kidou said, getting his attention. Naruto looked at Kidou's frowning expression, showing that he too knew that they can't beat the aliens.
"Just give it everything you got," Naruto said in a serious tone. His teammates heard it too and nodded.
When the referee whistled, Naruto charged, followed with Kidou and the rest of the midfielders.
Reize smirked before he disappeared and reappeared in front of Naruto. Before he could react, Reize kicked the ball. Naruto soon found himself flying off the ground, his world upside down. Everyone watched in shock as the captain and ace of Teikoku was easily blown off his feet. They didn't even notice the ball going pass a shocked Genda.
"There's an Earth saying that the 'weakest barks the loudest'," Reize said as Naruto landed on the ground. "You weaklings will be destroyed."
The rest of the game was painful to watch for the Teikoku students, as they watched their team get slaughtered out on the field. Aside from earlier, Teikoku never touched the ball, and Gemini Storm barely did anything. All they did was kick the ball and ran passed them, but it was like getting tossed around in a storm.
Soon, Teikoku Eleven were on the ground, the score 0 to 30, with Gemini Storm in the lead, and it was still the first half.
"Pathetic," Reize said as he looked at the team. All of them were struggling to stand up, but they were already passed their limits, and half of them were unconscious. "We've seen enough. It's time to destroy the school."
One of his teammates nodded before summoning a black soccer ball, which was glowing. She kicked it to him, which he caught with his knee and turning to the direction of the school, right where the students are.
"Say your prayers," he said as the ball started glowing brighter. Naruto looked at the ball with wide eyes before at the students, who were now frozen with fear.
"No!" he exclaimed as he forced himself up, and running towards the students. He got in front just as Reize kicks the ball. Naruto shouted as he gathered all the energy he could and got into a stance, with his knees buckled and his hands pulled back.
Fudou saw what he was trying to do and tried to ran towards him, only to fall down in pain. "Naruto! Stop!"
"Kyuubi's (Nine Tailed Fox's) Fangs!" he exclaimed as he threw his arms and a red fox appeared around him, closing its jaws to the ball. He gritted his teeth as he tried to stop the shoot. Everyone watched as the captain of Teikoku Eleven struggled to stop the ball, his feet creating dents on the ground.
Naruto could feel his muscles tore as the ball got stronger, the fox's head cracking. As he struggled to stop the ball, he slightly turned his head, seeing his fellow schoolmates, all looking at him, counting on him.
"I…Won't…Let…You…Destroy…My…SCHOOL!" he shouted as the fox roared. The fox grew big and overpowered the ball, surprising everyone. There was a bright flash of light that blinded everyone. When the light died, they saw Naruto holding on to the black soccer ball firmly with shaking arms.
"Impressive," Reize said with a smirk, looking at Naruto. "Perhaps there's more to you Earthlings than I thought. We'll spare your school, for now."
And with that, he snapped his fingers, causing the black ball to fly towards them and enveloped them in a bright light. When it died, Gemini Storm was nowhere to be seen.
"I can't believe that happened…" Kidou said, growling in frustration. It was like facing Zeus Junior High, only ten times worst. He then looked at Naruto, who fell to the ground. "Captain!"
Haku, Hinata and the players that could move immediately rushed towards the fallen captain. His eyes were white, his breath ragged and he was barely moving. They looked around and saw Banjou, Gojou, Sakiyama, Wataru and Doumen were unconscious as well.
Kakashi quickly pulled out his cellphone and contacted the hospital.
The Next Day…
The remaining Teikoku players were in the waiting room, frustrated from what happened earlier. Kidou, Narukami, Oono and Sakuyama were tired, but uninjured. Fudou only had a bruise on his leg since he was wearing ankle weights when he kicked the heavy ball, and Genda sprained his right arm, putting it on a cast.
The rest were not so lucky, with broken bones that required bed rest for a long time. For Naruto, he was exhausted and was lucky that his muscles weren't torn and only a small fracture, nothing his Uzumaki genes can't heal from. But he was exhausted, so he was sleeping.
"I can't believe that happened," Narukami said, looking down. It was a really big blow for them after the Football Frontier.
"We can't let it leave like this!" Fudou exclaimed angrily.
"But what can we do?" Sakuma asked. "Half our team is down."
Suddenly, Ino came running towards them, looking out of breath.
"You guys, you're not going to believe this!" she exclaimed, getting their attention. "Raimon Junior High was destroyed!"
"What!?" Kidou exclaimed, standing up. He had hoped that Raimon could beat Gemini Storm, but it seems they were outmatched too.
"Aliea Academy already destroyed twenty schools," Ino said sadly. "At this rate, all the school in Japan will be gone in no time."
"We have to stop them!" Narukami exclaimed.
"How?" Oono asked.
"We fight back," a voice said. They looked and saw their coach walking towards them.
"Coach, where have you been," Kidou asked.
"I was out," Kakashi said with an eye smile. "Let's go. We have to meet someone."
The uninjured team looked at their coach before following him. A bus ride later, Teikoku found themselves in front of the broken Raimon school. They stared at the rubble with wide eyes, realizing how close a call they had.
Kakashi then led them through the school, and saw the remaining Raimon players; Endou, Gouenji, Kazemaru, Someoka, Ichinose, Domon, Kabeyama and Kurimatsu, along with their coach and three managers.
"Kidou," Endou said as he looked at them. "It's good to see you."
"Same here, Endou," Kidou said. "Though I wished it was under better circumstances."
"Where's Naruto?" Endou asked, noticing the missing blond.
"He...is in the hospital," Kidou sighed, causing Endou to widen his eyes. "He protected our school…"
"I see…" Endou said with a frown before smiling slightly. "Knowing him, he'll be up in a jiffy."
"Kakashi-san, nice of you to join us," Hibiki said. "Sorry for the trouble."
"It's no problem, Hibiki-san," Kakashi said. "Now with everyone here, let's go."
"Go where?" Someoka asked.
Hibiki replied by leading them to an underground computer lab under their school, surprising everyone. Waiting for them was the school's chairman, looking at a map of Japan on the screen.
"So, this is the team?" he asked the two coaches, confusing the two teams.
"Yes, this is the team that will beat Aliea Academy," Hibiki said, surprising everyone.
"What is this about, coach?" Kidou asked, looking at Kakashi.
"After what happened yesterday, Hibiki-san and I talked and decided to work combine forces," Kakashi explained, looking at the two teams. "From this day forward, you will be Team Raikoku."
"Raikoku?" they all said.
"Yes, and your mission is to gather all the strongest players all over Japan, and defeat Aliea Academy," Mr. Raimon said.
"The strongest players all over Japan?" Kidou said, eyes widening behind his goggles.
"Heh, how interesting," Fudou said with a smirk.
"If we gather all the strongest players, we have a chance against Aliea Academy!" Endou exclaimed, fire burning his eyes. "Alright, let's do this!"
"But how are we travelling across country?" Natsumi asked, looking at the adults.
"We got that covered," her father said as he pressed a button. The wall on the left slowly opened, revealing a blue caravan with orange linings, with an empire surrounded by lightning. Everyone stared at the caravan with surprised expressions. "This is the Inazuma Caravan, your home on wheels."
"And I'll be driving you kids," a short, old man with gray hair and a moustache wearing a blue jumpsuit and white cap said.
"Furukabu-san!" the Raimon students exclaimed.
"And your new coach," Hibiki said, causing the students to turn.
"New coach?" Kazemaru asked. The adults looked at the door, which suddenly opened, revealing someone. It was young woman with dark green hair and green eyes, dressed in a green shirt, beige jacket, pink pants and brown shoes.
"This is coach Hitomiko," Hibiki said. "A very gifted coach. She will guide you in your battle against Aliea Academy."
"Hello," she greeted. A lot of the players were a little unsure to have a total stranger as a coach, but they didn't show. "I expect you all the listen well and follow my orders."
"Now go pack up, you leave in thirty minutes," Kakashi said turning to his players, giving them an eye smile. "Good luck my cute, little students."
"Hai, coach!" they exclaimed.
Everyone from the team all left to their homes to pack things they would need in the trip. Kidou, after collecting the things he need, was back in the hospital. He already talked to his injured comrades, who wished him and the others luck on their quest, though he could see it in their eyes that they were frustrated that they couldn't help.
He was then on Naruto's bedside, who still out cold. He frowned as he looked at his captain. They truly needed him more than ever.
"Hope you get better soon, captain," Kidou said before exiting the room. "We really need you."
Later…
Team Raikoku and their coach were gathered outside Raimon, along with Natsumi, Aki, Haruna, Ino, Hinata and Haku, who will provide intel, nutrients and medical care.
In front of them were Hibiki, Kakashi and Chairman Raimon, to see them off their quest.
"Good luck," the chairman said to the team. "You are Earth's best hope."
The players nodded before climbing up the caravan, surprised by how big and spacious it is. When they were all seated, Furukabu started driving.
"Get ready, Aliea Academy, because here we come!" Endou declared.
And done! Hope you like the changes I made. In this story, Raimon and Teikoku combined forces to become Raikoku, Not the best name, but what can you do? Also, I decided that next chapter is a time skip, to the part where Endou was all bummed out from soccer.
Well, next chapter, Konoha Academy! See you later!
