"I TOLD YOU THAT I DON'T WANT TO HELP HIM!" Inuyasha Roared out at the others. Koga immediately countered.
"I DON'T WANT YOUR STINKING HELP ANYWAY! THIS IS MY TURF AND MY PROBLEM ALONE!" Koga Shouted back at the dog-half demon in front of him. Everyone around them were rubbing their temples. Inuyasha and Koga had been shouting at each other nonstop for almost half an hour. Without Kagome here, they had no real way of calming them down. Finally Sango couldn't take it anymore.
"That's enough you two! Clearly we won't make any progress with you two shouting at each other all day!" She Said,bristling. Both Inuyasha and koga knew that when Sango spoke like that,it was really time to shut up. Jack stepped up to the plate now
"I'm afraid I must agree with Miss Sango. We are powerful together, but I feel that we may be able to cover more ground if we were to split into Teams." Jack told to the group.
"Feh! Fine! Just as long as I stay away from wolf-boy here!" Inuyasha snorted,an angry mark appearing on Koga's head,as he turned again to the Dog-man.
"You wanna go right now Mutt-face?!" Koga snarled at him, which Inuyasha Stepped up.
"Gladly!" He growled Back. The two face to face to each other,before Ayame Stood between them.
"I'll take Koga with Me,and we'll take the samurai with us,he looks like he knows what he's Doing." Ayame spoke out. Jack Smiled at the Red-headed Girl. She was a lot smarter than he took her For. Not only that, but the way she held herself up and the loyalty to her tribe was..admiring. Miroku immediately Went to Sango.
"Sango, I must ask you to come with me. I feel that our skills together will make us a better combo." Miroku Stated. This Flared up Michiru,seeing the perverted monk,as his hand was already reaching towards Sango's Posterior. He pointed his finger and whispered "Flame burning bright,turn into a sun of wrath.." and Miroku's Hand was engulfed in Fire. Miroku yelled out,getting the rest of the group's attention.
"Yeah..I don't mind me teaming with you,as long as Michiru comes with us Miroku" Sango stated. Michiru immediately stepped up to Sango and she smiled at him. Miroku waved the fire off his hand and groaned a bit,realizing that he had no choice now. He reluctantly nodded his head and joined them, Leaving Inuyasha,Shippo,Ginta and Hakkaku.
"What?! You mean I'm stuck watching over 2 Scrawny wolf-demons and Shippo?! What am I their Babysitter?!" Inuyasha Groaned out with a scowl on his face. The others looked towards him.
"I Don't see what the big deal is Inuyasha. Shippo can fly and the wolf-demons can more or less keep up with you" Sango asked him. Inuyasha only groaned in dismay after that.
"but they can't defend themselves! Shippo's lucky he can fly away,but The Scrawny wolves will be devoured alive by anything around them" Inuyasha Retorted. Ginta and Hakkaku sighed. While he was hurting their feelings terribly,they were forced to agree with him. It was true. They were weak.
"Look,this'll make the teams Even Inuyasha. It'll be better like this " Michiru tried to explain to him. Inuyasha Glared at his friend,but eventually let out a deep sigh.
"Fine. I'll take them with me,but what are we doing anyway?" Inuyasha Asked the group.
For That answer, Jack Stepped up. He was a master technician when it came to these things and He knew What should be done.
"We are splitting into three groups. Inuyasha and wolf-demons,and the fox Child. You take on the left Side and Slowly make yourselves around those mountains as we head for the top. That way, you can get to us in time to warn us about any incoming Threats from the left." Jack explained as he mapped it out in the dirt. Sango Joined in at that point.
"Alright. Then Miroku,Michiru and I will Take the Right Side with Kirara and We'll keep a surveillance over there." She added to the plan. Jack Nodded,then Ayame jumped in.
"Yeah, So Jack,Koga and I will scale the mountain from Here and Look around the top and see if we can spot anything before confronting the Witch. We Should all meet up in the top when the sun goes past the mountain.
At that moment, Everyone turned to the sun,which was slowly heading towards the mountain. Judging by the sun's distance between it and the mountain,jack calculated that they had one hour to look around and gather their surroundings. They All nodded to eachother and the Three group seperated. Michiru,Sango and Miroku hopped onto Kirara and Took off to the east,while Inuyasha,Ginta and Hakkaku Went off to the west, Shippo on inuyasha's shoulder. Jack Stayed behind with Ayame and Koga,who looked slightly disgruntled by all this.
"Tell me again why we had to bring the Samurai with US?!" Koga Expressed his annoyance at Ayame. She sighed before tapping her head. Koga might be the leader of the West-demon Tribe,but he still had the brains of a caterpillar. She glared up at him.
"I'm Sure The Samurai..ehh..Jack was it?" She asked,receiving a nod from him. "That Jack will be fine with keeping up with us as we scale it." She explained to koga,who huffed.
"You think he can keep up with me?! Let's just try!" Koga boasted. With a mighty leap,Koga Jumped up and landed on a cliffhold about 50 feet up. He looked down at the Samurai and Wolf-girl ,who were very small to him now.
"Think You can beat that Samurai?!" Koga Yelled down at him. Ayame looked over at Jack,and was surprised to see a smile on the samurai's face. What was he planning?
Her answer came when Jack suddenly left the ground. It almost look like he was floating. He jumped up higher,higher,higher. He waved at Koga's Astonished face as he Jumped past koga and landed on a cliffhold a far ahead of Koga. Ayame was astounded,but she was being left behind,so She jumped up to Koga,then the two leapt up to Jack.
"How did you do that Jack?!" Ayame Asked,amazed by how well this simple human could travel around so easily. Jack shrugged a bit and smiled at the Red-haired wolf.
"Jump Good" was all he said. During his travels, Jack had helped free a tribe of monkey-people from another tribe,who was stealing their food and threatening their homes. In return,the monkeys Taught Jack How To Jump incredibly well, by using tons of weight to make him stronger. The Three of them continued their ascent up the mountain.
"So,do we actually have a plan for what we're going to do if we meet this Witch?" Koga asked them as they continued their ascent. Ayame shook her head. "I say we slip in there and kill the witch before she does anything!" Koga continued. Jack looked down at the wolf-demons. They kill without remorse,but it is because they are protecting their home. Was that honorable? He couldn't really tell.
Michiru looked around him. He felt his arms wrapped tightly around Sango's waist and holding her close as she continued to hold on to her faithful pet's fur. They looked around and Michiru couldn't help but blush. Her skin was so warm through her clothing..and only a few inches from his hand was her posterior..the one that Miroku liked to frequently place his hand on. His own inhibitions trying to take over,his hand was about to reach down,when Sango spoke.
"Kirara,there's a clearing over there. Let's land." She told the forked cat,who roared out in response,before turning down and making a graceful landing. His senses snapping back to him, Michiru Leapt off of Kirara,followed by Miroku and Sango. Kirara Transformed back into her Kitten like form and climbed up Sango to her shoulder,nuzzling her happily. Kirara received an affectionate pat from her owner. MIroku walked over to Sango with a smile on his face.
"Sango, would you like to come take a walk with me?" Miroku asked innocently. MIchiru turned around and glared at the monk. He was trying to make a move on her now?! Sango turned to him with a puzzled expression,but her eyes went half closed as a pinching sound was heard,followed by Miroku's Gasp. She held had grabbed Miroku's hand and was squeezing it tight. His hand was shaped like a claw,and they all knew Miroku was reaching out towards Sango's Ass again.
"You know, I would have been more inclined to agree,if it weren't for your lecherous ways,monk" Sango said in a strained voice,holding back her anger,she turned to Michiru and smiled. "michiru,would you like to join me?" Michiru's eyes widened and he nodded. She turned to miroku and tossed his hand back at him.
"and don't bother following us. You know Kirara has Great hearing. She'll hear you immediately. Right Kirara?~" She said in a cooing voice to her feline friend. Kirara let out a cute little "mew!" in confirmation. Michiru walked up to Sango,and the two walked into the trees,leaving Miroku alone in the clearing,with a dumb look on his face.
As the two walked, Sango closed the space between them and he smiled. It was obvious that she trusted him,so he placed his arm around her shoulder,keeping them close as they walked. Sango responded by placing her head on his shoulder,and stroked kirara,who was now nestled in her arms.
"It's alot more peaceful away from him. I'm glad that we were able to keep him away from us." Sango said with a sigh,clearly relaxing. This led Michiru to wonder something.
"If you felt that way sango,then why did you bring him with us?" Michiru asked her. Sango closed her eyes.
"Because it would be the only thing that made sense.." Sango answered. She looked up at him to see him with a confused face,so she continued. "Well, Ayame and koga took Jack, and we couldn't take Shippo,ginta or Hakkaku with us. If we went off alone, nobody would be able to protect them. and if we brought Inuyasha with us instead of Miroku, then He'd probably be trying to snoop at us." She finished.
"But wouldn't Kirara be able to hear Inuyasha as well if he were to snoop? That's what we threatened Miroku with." Michiru interjected.
"Yeah,that's true,but Don't forget that Inuyasha is very light on his feet,whereas Miroku can be very clumsy." Sango said with her finger rubbing her temple. Miroku's actions have really been bothering her lately. He knew that she loved Michiru,but this still didn't stop him. It was verging on the break of insanity.
The three arrived at a small cliff,facing a lake below. They both sat down on the end of the cliff and they stared at the sky together. Kirara Stretched and walked over to Michiru's lap,before curling up and snoozing off. Sango let out a soft giggle.
"Kirara really has taken a liking to you Michiru. She's got great taste." Sango said in an almost affectionate tone. She moved closer to Michiru so their bodies were touching and Michiru blushed from the heat that was emanating from her. She looked up at the Boy from another world and gave him a loving smile. The warmth from her eyes was enough to melt his heart,and he lifted her chin up with his finger,taking her lips gently with his own,and giving her a soft,warm kiss. She didn't object,and relaxed into it,lifting her arms up and wrapping them gently around Michiru's neck,keeping him close to her,so he didn't remove himself from her,not that Michiru had any idea to. As the two continued their tender moment, Kirara jumped up and got away. Both Sango and Michiru looked at Kirara,as she started to Hiss.
"Kirara? What's wrong?" Sango asked,but no sooner as she said this,did Kirara Transform into her Bigger form,Teeth Out. Michiru and Sango Leapt up and Looked around wildly. Sango Grabbed hold of Her hiraikotsu as a purple orb floated down to them. inside the orb was the one person Sango wanted to see more than Anything. Tears streamed in her eyes as she the orb faded from the Yellow/Green Armored boy in front of them. Dark hair tied up in a small ponytail,he held out his kusarigama and looked up at them with the pale eyes,but this was different than Naraku's Spell trickery. Sango's eyes widened at this.
"K-Kohaku?! Wh-What happened to you?!" Sango pleaded.
Half of Kohaku's body had turned completely Black,as if it had been painted with Black paint. His Left eye was alot wider with flames surrounding it and his Left arm had hands with Claws. His face Turned into an evil smirk with a fang showing.
"Like the new look sister?" Kohaku asked her. "It's simple. Lord Aku's spirit and Mine are connected at the moment,and I've never felt more powerful. Lord Aku has given me his order. As he heads towards the top to meet with the Samurai, I am here to dispose of you two. Michiru's here as well. How fitting. Pity I wasn't able to get the monk,but Two for the price of one should be good. So Sister, can you fight? Will you fight me? Your own Flesh and Blood?" Kohaku finished as he brandished the Kusarigama.
Sango stared at her brother. She could feel her Hiraikotsu slipping from her grip. She couldn't do it..This was her brother! but he was infected by Aku and Naraku! She felt Sorry for the little boy who used to be her brother..now he was just a shell..Sango looked up at Michiru,who placed his hand in front of her.
"Sango..let me face him..I'll make sure he'll be free from Aku and Naraku.." Michiru said to his love. Sango looked at him before standing up straight and keeping her grip on her hiraikotsu.
"No Michiru..I will not allow you to Fight alone..we can do this together..just..we can't let him die.." Sango said. Michiru nodded before turning to Koh-aku.
"Are you done spattering nonsense?!" Kohaku spat at them. "Good! let's Go!" He said Before whipping his Kusarigama at them.
Inuyasha,Ginta and Hakkaku were running along the edge,waiting for things to happen. They had been traveling non-stop and Inuyasha could tell that the wolf-demons were getting tired.
"Tch. You wolves are as bad as the humans. C'mon,let's take a rest." Inuyasha stated before slowing to a stop. Ginta and Hakkaku,though upset that they were being treated like shit, gratefully fell to the ground and panted heavily.
"Koga's Right..We need to work out more.." Ginta said to Hakkaku,who was panting heavily.
"Well,what's he want from us? We're constantly running after him, and he wants us to keep up with his jewel shards? that's impossible!" Hakkaku retorted. Shippo jumped off and Inuyasha opened up Kagome's Bag. He tossed the wolves bottles of water and gave shippo a can of soda. He opened up a bag of the chips potato things that he really liked and started chowing down on them. Shippo opened up his can and looked up at the sun.
"Inuyasha..Do you think Kagome and Kaname are alright? I really wish they were back here with us.." Shippo asked the Dog-demon next to him. Inuyasha Grunted a bit and swallowed his chips.
"Don't worry about them Shippo. Kaname's shikigami powers should be able to keep them alive,even in Naraku's Miasma." he said as he dug into the chips some more. Shippo still had a worried look on his face,but he looked back down at the soda,before taking a sip of it. As Inuyasha put down the chips,he stood right back up with an alarmed expression. His nose wiggled a little and he sniffed the air.
"That scent...it's familiar.!" Inuyasha Barked out. Shippo put down his pop after his drink,and the weight made him look down the mountain. From the bottom of the mountain, Shippo noticed a purple cloud shooting up towards Them.
"EEEEEEK!" Shippo Shrieked as the cloud of purple smoke shot past him and went into the air. Inuyasha glared up at the Dust as it hovered in the air. The dust began to swirl faster and faster,as lightning Shot through the cloud. The dust settled to Reveal Demongo, who stared down at them all,his blue flame on his head aglow with excitement.
"EEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEE!" Demongo cackled as he looks down at Inuyasha,Shippo and the wolves. "Ssssssooo! You are the one they call eenuyasssaaaa! My massstah'sss have ordered me to dessssstroy you! "
"Is that a fact?" Inuyasha said. "I'd love to see you try it!" Inuyasha barked at the weird creature from the sky. He then looked back at the others. "Shippo! Hurry up and take the scrawny wolves out of here! " Inuyasha ordered to the fox-child.
"Right!" Shippo nodded and he transformed into his Pink balloon form. Ginta and Hakkaku jumped on.
"Yuuuuur not goin aanywhere!" Demongo chanted as he pointed at The balloon and Lightning Shot out of it.
"Oh no you don't!" Inuyasha yelled as he whipped the tetsusaiga out and Jumped into the blast. The electricity hit the tetsusaiga and pushed him back.
"Kch! He's stronger than I realized! and this is just the first blast!" Inuyasha gritted. "But I'm much stronger than this!" He said as he swung his sword up and the lightning shot into the mountain. "Shippo! Get out of here!" He yelled at them. The pink balloon flew off with Ginta and Hakkaku on board. Inuyasha landed on the ground with Demongo facing him.
"Ssssso Eenuyasssa. You weesssshhhh to face the great Demongo. I weell take pleasure in absorbing you into my flesshh" Demongo stated. Inuyasha jumped up and landed higher on the mountain and Demongo followed him.
"You can't run away eenuyassa!" Demongo chanted as he shot lightning out at Inuyasha. He Jumped over the lightning and the two figures landed in a big circle like area. Inuyasha had alot more room to move now and he smirked.
"I'm not running, I was just leading you here so i had more room to fight. You were just too slow to realize" Inuaysha said with a smirk.
"Huh?!" Demongo shrieked out,then realized that before this, Demongo had Inuyasha against the wall basically. he facepalmed and groaned.
"Sssstupid! sssstupid! No matter! I like thees better anyway! Come! my new Sssservants!" Demongo opened his cape and Skulls flew out of it. The skull hit the ground and then transformed into Demons! There were Bears and worms and centipedes and moths and dragons! Inuyasha was quickly surrounded. Inuyasha Sliced The centipede in half,and the skull disappeared,then he continued to attack the others.
"WIND SCAR!" He yelled as he blasted out his famous attack,slicing about 10 to 20 more demons.
"ooooh, you are very ssstrong indeed...you may have defeated this wave, Eenuyassa,but you can bet! There are thousands more where that came from!" Demongo Cackled as more skulls rained down from the sky. The Skull immediately transformed and attacked at Inuyasha again.
Inuyasha quickly got back to slicing the demons,but they just kept coming back. No matter how many times he sliced one, another would appear. A centipede Demon Managed to wrap himself around inuyasha and hold him There while its Head Reared up and Sunk its fangs into Inuyasha's Shoulder.
"AAUGH!" Inuyasha Yelled out. Blood began to drip down his arm as he felt the centipede withdraw it's fangs. Inuyasha dug his claws into his blood and smirked.
"BLADES OF BLOOD!" Inuyasha yelled as he threw his claws foreward. The blood shot off his hand and turned into mini blades and Sliced through every demon around him. inuyasha Built up force in his body.
"RU-ARGH!" Inuyasha yelled as he used the force to blast the centipede apart. the skull faded and Inuyasha dropped to one knee,blood and Poison leaking from his body.
"D-Damn..The poisen is starting to affect me..I have to..get to..Kagome's..bag.." Inuyasha said,managing a small jog over to the bag. Demongo shot a lightning bolt that almost hit his foot.
"aand where do you think yooouur going?" Demongo asked. "Your fight is with me. and my army!" as the Demons came back and surrounded him once more.
"Damn! I can't fight in this condition! and even if I do! He'll just bring them back instantly! There must be some kind of weak Spot!" Inuyasha groaned. At this moment,the Tetsusaiga began to Pulse.
"Huh? Tetsusaiga?" Inuyasha looked at the blade,and watched as it transformed. The top of the blade turned Green and looked like it was covered in scales.
"Dragon-scaled Tetsusaiga? Are you telling me that I should Take his powers from him?" Inuyasha looked up at the hoard in front of him,around him and behind him.
"Well..The best way to take out an army is to take out the head..Kch!" He fell to his knees,using the tetsusaiga to keep himself up.
"If only..the poison was gone..There's got to be a way..I will not..Give up!" Inuyasha Roared.
Inuyasha got to his feet and Ran with all his Energy. He Leapt up into the air and Brought The sword swinging down on Demongo. Demongo was surprised by the speed and the Sword hit him right in the chest.
"Ha! You Fool! I can be beaten by a meassssly Sssword! I will-ehuh?" Demongo looked down at his skull chest and noticed that The warriors inside were being sucked out and brought into the Tetsusaiga.
"Wh-What?! N-no! You're stealing my souls! Argh! No! Stop!" Demongo twisted and writhed away from the blast. Meanwhile,Inuyasha's Palms were beginning to Singe and Tear. His eyes Were Closed Shut and he was yelling out in pain with Demongo. Finally, Demongo Blasted out a barrier around him and Inuyasha was blasted back,landing on the ground.
"Hmph! Theesss warrior is more troublessssome than I thought! Mark my words eenuyasssa! I will be back! and I will be more powerful than you've ever realized!" Demongo stated,as he vanished,literally into the thin air. Inuyasha stared down at his hands while he laid on the ground. they looked like they had been burned and ripped open. He wasn't using the tetsusaiga for a bit...Inuyasha Chuckled to himself,before the Poison took over his body,and he passed out.
