A/N: Apologies for the long wait!

~ The Next Night ~

* In Yuki's room. *

Yuki wakes up to see that she had indeed dozed off on her desk. She sits up in her chair and felt something slide off from behind her.

It was a blanket that someone had put while she slept.

Yuki turned around to look over her shoulder, expecting to see Ayato on her bed, but he wasn't. She looked at the clock and noticed that it was almost time to leave for school. Yuki quickly got off her chair, took off her clothes and put on her uniform.

Then quickly brushed her hair, grabbed her school bag and left her room, closing the door behind her. She walked quickly across the hallway and when she arrived at the stairs, she saw only the brothers.

* In the main hall. *

Where's Yui...? Yuki thought as she walked down the stairs.

Once Yuki reached the end of the stairs, Reiji pushed up his glasses.

"Let's go before we're late." He said as he walked towards the door.

The brothers and Yuki followed after him, leaving the manor and entering the black limo parked outside the gates of the manor.

* In the limo. *

As the limo drove away from the manor and Yuki looked out the window.

My dreams, or rather... My nightmares have gotten a little better. Before I would see a girl having her wings being ripped, now I see a woman with purple hair and green eyes... Laito's, Kanato's, and Ayato's mother... She would appear before me with her hands extended towards me. My body wouldn't move and then she would wrap her hands around me throat and choke me. Then, I'd wake up instantly after losing conscious in my dream... I wonder what resentment she has on me... Yuki thought as the limo stopped in front of the school.

The brothers exited the limo and headed towards their classrooms, Subaru waited for Yuki to get off the car.

"Sorry for the wait, Subaru..." Yuki apologized as the two walked into the school and headed to their classrooms.

~ Later... After-school and Back at the Sakamaki Manor ~

* In the gardens. *

Yuki left her school bag in her room, but she didn't bother changing. She just dropped her bag on her bed, left her room and walked into the gardens. She picked up one of the red roses and twirled the flower in her hand, staring at the red petals.

Then, she heard the sound of a piano playing and she looked up at the manor.

"A piano...?" Yuki said as she placed the rose on the bush and headed back into the manor.

She followed the sound of the piano and stood in front of a door. She turned the knob and peeked into the room - that was larger than the other rooms she's visited before.

* In the Room with a Grand Piano. *

Yuki entered the room to see Laito with his eyes closed, playing the piano.

"Why, hello, Snow." Laito said as he continued to play the piano. "I'm thrilled that we ran into each other here."

Yuki walked closer to the piano and kept a distance between her and the vampire. She looked at Laito.

"Laito... Do you know a woman who wears a black dress...? Yuki asked and Laito stopped playing. "She has long purple hair... And is quite beautiful..." She added.

Yuki then sees the other two triplets standing behind Laito.

Kanato and Ayato.

"Why do you want to know that?" Kanato asked Yuki.
"What are you doing in here?" Ayato asked.

Yuki took a step back, distancing herself between the three vampires.

"Ayato... Kanato..." Yuki said as she looked from one to the other. "... Tell me... What's your mother's name...?"

Her eyes widened as she sees Kanato and Laito looking down. Ayato looks at Yuki and tells her his mother's name.

"Cordelia."

~ The Triplet's Flashback ~

Tonight, the moon was full and red.

* In the main hall. *

Cordelia screams in pain as she puts her hand on her left side. Her breathing was heavy and she was on the stairs, blood stained the stairs she passed.

"Ayato..." Cordelia calls as she breaths heavily.

At the bottom of the stairs, Ayato looks up at his mother then lifts his arm up, his mother's blood stained his sleeves and shirt.

"Ah. What a shame, its ruined now. And I really liked this shirt too." Ayato remarks. "It's soaked in your blood, Mom."

Ayato then licks hand and tastes the blood.

"Your blood tastes so sweet." He says as he licks his hand again. "It's so delicious. I want more."

Ayato looks at his mother with hunger in his green-colored eyes.

Cordelia's eyes widen in fear as she turns around and runs up the stairs. Behind her, she hears Ayato laughing.

* In the hallway. *

Cordelia limps her way through the hall, blood dripping onto the carpet. She starts to feel weak in her legs and hits the wall, then uses it to support her weight as she drags her body across it, staining it with blood.

* In the Room with a Grand Piano. *

Cordelia slams the doors open. Laito is inside, sitting at the piano. She limps towards him.

"Laito..." Cordelia called. "Laito..."
"Oh, no." Laito responds. "What's the matter?" He asks.
"It's... Ayato... He's... torturing me!"
"Wow, really?" He said calmly. "Well, I knew this would happen sooner or later."

Cordelia then extends an arm towards Laito.

"Laito... I command you... To help me!" She stammers as a something pounds against something, making her jolt. "Ayato has come for me... He has come... To kill me!"

Laito stands up and looks out the window.

"That isn't Ayato." He assures her. "That's just the wind. Relax."
Cordelia looks outside then at Laito, her breathing just became heavier.
"I'll keep you safe." Laito says as he looks at his mother.

* In the Room Where the Diary was Found. *

Cordelia is leaning on the wall, outside on the balcony.

Laito enters the room and walks closer to her. She looks at him and smiles.

"Have you... Driven Ayato away... For me...?" Cordelia asks.
"Yup, he's gone." Laito answers.
She gets off the wall and stands up, looking at Laito.
"I knew... I could depend on you... Laito."

"Do you love me more than anyone else?" Laito asked as Cordelia sits on the ledge, facing him.
"Yes." She replies, extending a hand towards him.

Laito smiles at her.

"You never change, do you?" Laito remarks as he walks over to her and takes her hand.
"Laito... I love you. I mean that." Cordelia says.

Then Cordelia falls off the ledge, falling into a rose-bush. She isn't moving, only looking up.

Laito stands and looks over the ledge at his mother. His smile is gone.

"Now you are mine, for eternity." Laito vowed, leaving.

~ A Little Later ~

* Outside. *

It started to rain and Cordelia was dead, laying on the rose bushes as if it were her death-bed.

Kanato comes out with Teddy in one hand and a candelabrum with purple flames.

The flames didn't flicker or disappear as rain fell on them.

Kanato looks at his dead mother.

"Mother, what's wrong?" Kanato asks. "There's a hole in your chest, Mother."
He sets the candelabrum on the floor and reaches for her, his fingers touching his mother's skin.
"Wake up, Mother. I wonder where your heart went? Help me look for it." Kanato says, looking around then back at his mother. "C'mon. Are you dead, Mother?"
He places his hand on his mother's forehead and leans close to her face, stroking her hair.
"You're so cold... And so wet. Mother, you must be freezing. Hold on, I'll warm you up."

Kanato reached for the candelabrum and puts the candles to her, setting her on fire. A grin appears on his face as he watches the flames burn Cordelia's body.

"Now, doesn't that feel warm, Mother?" He asks. "C'mon. Tell me you're getting warmer."

Kanato continues to watch and starts laughing.

~ Present ~

* In the Room with a Grand Piano. *

Yuki's eyes widened as she hears the story of how the triplets killed their mother, Cordelia.

"D... Don't you ever miss her...?" Yuki asked.

The triplets didn't say anything, but looked at Yuki with no regrets or even guilt.

Their silence made Yuki's eyes widened as she felt the atmosphere grow dangerous. Yuki took a step back then ran out of the room, hurrying away from the triplets who murdered their mother.

* Outside. In the garden. *

Yuki stops running and walks into the garden. She past the red roses and was now surrounded with white roses. She stops in her tracks and hugs herself, shutting her eyes close.

"You should have run when you had the chance."

Yuki opened her eyes and looked up, only to meet a pair of blood-colored eyes.

"Subaru..." Yuki called. "You know about it, don't you, Subaru? About what the three of them did to their own mother?"

"And if I do?" Subaru said as he turned, walking away.

"Subaru, why did you give me the knife?"

Yuki reached for Subaru, only to be swatted away from him as he whirled around suddenly, almost making Yuki fall backwards.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME! Subaru shouted angrily. "Come one step closer, and I'll destroy you! I will not only break your body, but your mind as well!"

Subaru punches some nearby white roses and glares at Yuki. Something replays in Yuki as she remembers when she was in the past - of the Sakamaki brothers' - and she saw a woman in the tower that Subaru was looking at. He then drops his knife when she looked away and the knife had landed near white roses.

"Subaru... I won't step closer to you, but was the woman in the tower... your mother?" Yuki asked as Subaru's eyes widened.
"What do you know!?" He asked as he grabbed her wrist, yanking her closer a bit.
His grip on her wrist was tight and Yuki winced in pain.
"Subaru, you're hurting me...!" She cried as she tried to pull her hand away. "Please let go!"

"What do you want from me? What do you expect from someone as powerless, hideous and polluted as I am?" Subaru muttered as Yuki looked at him with confusion.

He blinks at what he just says and looks at Yuki. Then, he yanks her closer to him and he wraps his other arm around her.

Yuki's eyes widens as she doesn't understand the situation anymore.

"Subaru?" Yuki called as she hears Subaru click his tongue.

Yuki then feels her hair being pulled away from one side of her neck. Before Yuki could react to this, Subaru plunges his fangs into her and she cried out softly.

As Subaru drank, Yuki kept quiet. She did not want Subaru to get even more angrier.

Subaru then pulled his fangs out of her neck.

"It tastes so sweet." He remarked and continues to drink her blood.

He undoes her bow from her uniform and unbuttoned some buttons from her shirt. Once he revealed more of Yuki's skin, he moved down to her collarbone.

"Stop..." Yuki said quietly.
"Shut up and keep quiet." Subaru ordered and Yuki looked at him in the eye.

Subaru then pulls the left side of her shirt away, sniffing her then biting her left arm. Yuki groans in pain as Subaru - once again - stops and faces Yuki - once again.

"You asked me why I gave you the silver knife." Subaru said and leans close to Yuki's ear. "I gave it to you so you could stab me with it, should I want you to."
Yuki's eyes widened.
"But I-" Yuki began, but Subaru interrupted.
"If you are incapable of that, use it to end yourself and your sister." He then moves away from Yuki's ear and stands straight, looking down at Yuki. "You have no right to refuse. In the same way, you can't deny me your blood."
He narrowed his eyes at Yuki.

Subaru pulls her head in and she closes her eyes, submitting to Subaru.

"Good. Just be quiet and allow my fangs to enter you. Always." Subaru says and he pierces her neck, drinking.

~ Later ~

After Subaru bit Yuki - who fainted a bit later - opened her eyes to see that she was alone in her bedroom. She got up and changed out of her uniform and took a quick shower. Then she returned to her room in her pajamas and retreated into the bed.

The sun was almost rising and Yuki had not slept since she entered her bed.

Suddenly, Yuki felt the bed move down and up, indicating that someone had just laid on the bed. Yuki sat up and looked over her shoulder to see red.

"A... Ayato...?" Yuki called.
"Don't look at me." Ayato mumbled.
"But..."
"Quiet!"

Ayato then puts his arm around her, pulling her back down on the bed and leaving his arm on her. He pulls her closer to him and she feels his head touching her back. His cold breath gave Yuki goosebumps.

Ayato then closes his eyes and slowly falls asleep while holding Yuki - who didn't want to make any noise or movements to awake the sleeping vampire. The last thing Yuki heard before he slept was:

"Do not disobey me."
