Ding~ Dong~

The bell rang, signaling that it was break time. Yuki was at her desk, switching out her books. As she did this, one of her schoolmates, Maria Shimizu (brown hair and light blue eyes), entered Yuki's classroom, grabbed a seat and sat in front of Yuki's desk.

"...You're name is Yuki, correct?" Maria asked as Yuki put her books out on her desk.
"That's right. And you are...?" Yuki replied, looking up at Maria.
"Maria Shimizu. Nice to meet you, Komori."
"It's nice to meet you as well, Shimizu."
"You can call me Maria. Shimizu makes me sound old."
"Then, as well, please call me Yuki."
"OK! By the way, I heard you live with the Sakamaki brothers', is that true?" Maria asked.
"Yeah..." Yuki answered.

"Oh! I don't have any interest in them. It's just that I wanted to hear if it's true, that's all." Maria quickly added.
"Okay."
Maria smiled. "You're not much of a talker, are you?"
"Yeah... I mean, I can talk, but its just that-"
"It's all right. Don't worry about it. People say I have a big mouth and that's a bit true."
"You don't look like a person who would talk a lot..."
Maria laughed at Yuki's comment.

"W-What...?" Yuki asked, flustered from Maria's sudden laugh.
"No... it's just that, this is the first time I've heard of that..." Maria replied. "Say, you're a very interesting person. Wanna hang out after-school?"
Yuki looked at Maria then glanced at Subaru, who was staring then looked away. Maria noticed this.

"Oh my! Do you need permission to hang out with a friend?" Maria asked, sarcasm in her voice.
"Not from Subaru..." Yuki said.
"Then, from one of the older brothers'?"
"Yeah."

Maria shook her head.

"That makes sense... Then this is troublesome..." Maria said, crossing her arms in front of her.
"What is troublesome?" Yuki asked.
"Well, you see, a friend of mine wanted to talk to you and now that you need permission from one of the Sakamaki brothers' to hang out... I've got a problem."
"Oh..."
"Ah, don't think it's your fault." Maria said, quickly. "Um, how about hanging out at school. That won't bother them, right?"
"I don't think it will." Yuki said. "As long as its at school." But... I'd have to walk home.

Ding~ Dong~ Ding~ Dong~

Maria smiled at Yuki's answer and stood up.

"Then, after-school, I'll meet you on the rooftop of the school. That's where my friend and I will meet. I'll see you there!"
Yuki smiled. "Yeah, see you there."

* On the rooftop. *

Yuki went to the rooftop after school and she looked around for Maria.

"Hey! Yuki, over here!" Maria shouted from the other side of where Yuki stood.

Yuki walked over to where Maria was.

"Didn't have any trouble with the Sakamaki brother?" Maria asked with a wink.
Yuki shook her head. "I slipped out of class with a group of classmates..."
"This means that we only a few hours..." Maria mumbled. "Anyways, this is the friend that wanted to meet you. Come on Setsu."

The friend that wanted to talk to Yuki was a guy. He had blonde hair, like Yuki, and crimson-colored eyes. His name is Setsuna.

"Hm?" Maria said as she looked at Yuki then at Setsuna. "You two really are twins!"
"Did you not believe me, Maria? And don't call me Setsu." Setsuna said. "Besides, we were assigned a task."
"Yeah, yeah." Maria said, not listening to Setsuna.

Yuki looked at Setsuna and Maria, confused as to what they are talking about.

"Um... What are you two talking about? A task?" Yuki asked.
"Hm? You haven't remembered a thing, yet?" Maria said, surprised.
"Remember what?"
Maria sighed. "This isn't going in our favor... Setsu, why don't you explain to her. I'm bad at these things."

"Of course you are, Maria." Setsu said as he faced Yuki. "Oh, by the way, my name is Setsuna."
"What did you mean about remembering?" Yuki asked.
"About your past."
"My past?"
"That's right. We've received a sign that a member from the Royal Family, a Seraph, has wiped her own memory. My sister, that is."
"But what does that have with me remembering-"

"You witnessed a torture of a young child, correct?" Setsuna asked, not letting Yuki finish her sentence.
"Yes."
"You have a scar on your right shoulder-blade, correct?"
"Yes."
"You've heard voices telling you to remember something, correct?"
"Yes..."

Before Setsuna could continue, he saw someone in the shadows.

"Maria, I thought I told you to make sure that everyone left." Setsuna said, angrily.
"I did. I made sure that everyone left school!" Maria said.
"It doesn't matter now that they're here." Setsuna sighed. "Come out... If I remember correctly, you're not good at hiding."

"Tch. I guess I couldn't really 'blend' with the dark since I'm not full vampire." A voice said that belonged to the one who walked out from the shadows.
"You should know that by now, Ren." Setsuna remarked, crossing his arms.

Yuki turned to see who it was. Ren, a young man wearing the school's uniform and has white-colored hair and golden-colored eyes, smiled at Yuki.

"It's nice to see you again, Yukkin!" Ren said with a wink.
"Have we met before?" Yuki asked.
"Um... Not like this, but when I was in my wolf form, we did. It was raining one night and I sat outside. Remember?"
Yuki's eyes widened. "You were the wolf who nodded?"
"Yeah. Oh, and my name is Ren Okami."

"Hey, Ren. Don't ignore me." Setsuna said.
"Jealous, Setsun?" Ren said.
"Why the hell would I be jealous?"
Ren laughed.
"Besides, where's your brother?" Setsuna asked.
"Hm? He's right here." Ren answered as he step aside, revealing a young man.

He wore the school's uniform as well and has black-colored hair and golden-colored eyes just like Ren. Yuki's eyes widened as she suddenly ran to him, embracing him.

"Shiki..." Yuki called, not wanting to release him.
"It's nice to see you again." Shiki whispered to Yuki, holding Yuki tightly.

"That was unexpected... Hey, Setsu-" Maria began, but stopped when she saw Setsuna's look.

Shiki released Yuki. He then looked at the rooftop's door.

"Damn." Shiki cursed. "How long have you been here?" He asked Setsuna.
"About two hours." Setsuna replied, realizing how long it's been and sighed. "I'll put her to sleep. Your ways of putting someone to sleep have violence in it."

Setsuna walked over to Yuki, who was standing next to Shiki. He pulled Yuki towards him and leaned close to her ear, whispering something that only she and himself can understand. Yuki closed her eyes and fell asleep, her body collapsing into Setsuna's arms. He set her down on the floor, gingerly setting her back against the wall near the door. Maria tossed him Yuki's bag and he set it next to her.

"Now that that's taken care of, I suggest we leave now, Setsu." Maria said, unfurling her wings.
"Agreed." Setsuna said as he, too, unfurled his wings. "Shiki. Ren. We won't hand you Yuki easily." He added and left.

"You heard him, Shiki. He won't be handing Yuki to us that easily." Ren said, glancing at Yuki.
"That just means we'll be saving her, again." Shiki said, leaning near the ledge of the roof.
Ren stepped onto the ledge as well.
"Let's just hope that everything goes into our favor..." Ren said, jumping off the ledge and Shiki followed after him.

~ A Few Minutes Later ~

The door to the roof opened and it was Subaru. He looked around and saw Yuki sleeping.

"Tch. Where the hell were you?" He mumbled as he picked Yuki up and carried her back to the Sakamaki Manor.
