* Outside the Sakamaki Manor. On the Second Floor Balcony. *
Cordelia leans on the rails, her elbows resting on the stone material. She had changed her clothes into something more... fitting of her.
Cordelia wore a midnight blue, strapless dress with delicate ruffles on the chest. There was a red rose embellishment by the left side of her chest. There was also a chain around her hips. On both her arms, she wore a long, midnight blue gloves. She also wore a midnight blue, loose choker with a few beads adorning the front, right side. She also added a red rose - with midnight blue ruffles around it - ornament on the right side of her hair.
Standing beside Cordelia was Richter. He had a hand rested on the rail and was looking at Cordelia with desire.
"This reminds me of the good, old days." Cordelia spoke as she reminisced about the past.
"We would forget about the time, and dance the night away." Richter responds. "It seems just like yesterday," he adds.
Cordelia chuckles in delight.
"Cordelia," he calls and closes his eyes. He was thinking about reality and opened his eyes, staring at Cordelia. "My sister-in-law," he corrects.
Richter opens his mouth to say more, but Cordelia raises a gloved finger to his lips, silencing him before he could continue.
"You called me that intentionally," she says with a smile. "That's so cute."
"It wasn't intentional," he says and gingerly grab her wrist. "You are my brother's wife. The fact is inescapable." He releases her and takes a step forward, his back facing Cordelia. "I am a man who fought with his brother over you and lost."
Richter looks over his shoulder, glancing at Cordelia and then takes a few more steps away from her. "In an effort to forget you, I wandered the world for hundreds of years."
"But why?" Cordelia asks with a smile. "There was no need to forget me. You don't own anything to Karl Heinz. Am I right?"
Richter stops and smiles at her statement. "Only a wicked woman would compel a response to that."
Cordelia giggles which makes Richter look at her.
"You're so fun to tease, Richter," she says. "Let it go. It's all in the past. As you can see, I have been resurrected as you wished."
"What's the meaning of this?" Yuki asks, appearing behind the two vampires.
"Oh, it's you... Yuki, was it?" Cordelia says with disgust. "It's been a long time."
Yuki narrows her eyes at Cordelia. "What have you done?"
"It doesn't appear you're here to say how pleased you are to see me again. As for why I'm here..." Cordelia gestures a hand towards Richter.
"Richter, would you please explain it to her?" Cordelia requests and grins at Yuki. "I need some rest. I'm not fully used to this body yet. She shouldn't even be conscious. Yet, she's trying to eject me. It's tiresome." She says and starts to walk. "I suppose this body isn't fully mine yet."
When Cordelia passes Yuki, she glances at the angel's expression with pleasure and leaves. The door creaks when its closed and Yuki opens her mouth.
"What did you do to her?" Yuki asks.
Richter stares at Yuki quietly, then begins his explanation.
~ Richter's Memory ~
On the night Cordelia was killed, before Kanato "warmed" her up with his fire, Richter was looking for her. He sees her laying on the rose bush, covered in blood, and rushes over to her. He kneels beside her.
"Oh, Cordelia!" He calls. "What happened? Who did this to you?"
Just as he puts his hand under her, to carry her away, Cordelia speaks with difficulty.
"Richter," she calls, "I have... a request."
"Anything you want." Richter says.
"My body... is done for... Please... cut out my... heart..." Cordelia's request made the man's expression go from worry to shock. "Then... I want you... to implant it... into another... body..." Cordelia finishes and raises her hand to touch Richter's face, but she has no strength left and it stops at his chest. Richter takes her hand in his before it could fall.
"I presume that is the only way to keep you alive?" Richter asks, wanting to confirm what she just said.
Cordelia smiles at him.
"When... the time is right... we will meet again..." she says, then remembers seeing Kanato come by and that he will return with a candelabrum. "Oh... you must hurry...! He's coming to... incinerate me...! Do it!"
Richter takes his hand out from under her and stands up with a sword in his hand. He looks at Cordelia, who's still smiling, and he points to the place where he'll stab. Then raises the weapon up and lightening rumbles... And he pushes down towards her chest area. Richter begins to cut out Cordelia's heart, blood covered anything that was around the woman's body. After a quick incision, Richter finds the heart and pulls it out. He also takes Cordelia's dress off her body as well.
"I swear that I will resurrect you." Richter vows and closes her eyes. "Until then, this is farewell."
~ Present ~
"So, the heart you removed is now inside her?" Yuki asks for clarification.
Richter had moved his attention to the moon when he was explaining what happened on that night.
"The girl is merely her vessel. The girl still exists, but only just." Richter replies. "However, once she awakens," he turns to face Yuki, "the girl's soul will be obliterated for eternity, leaving only Cordelia."
Yuki's eyes widens.
"Yes, as I am sure you are aware, the awakening is at hand." Richter says.
Yuki glares at him and leaves. Before the door fully closed, she heard Richter say: "It is a beautiful moonlit night tonight."
After a quick search throughout the manor, Yuki did not find Cordelia in any of the rooms and resting like she said she would. There were a few places that Cordelia could have went, such as: the abandoned church, the graveyard, the gardens, and the docks. Yuki ignored the thought of checking the church and the graveyard and headed towards the gardens.
Cordelia was also not in the gardens and so, Yuki headed to the docks.
* At the Docks. *
Again, there was no sign of Cordelia anywhere. Yuki walked on the wooden dock and stopped when she got to the end.
"Where could she be...?" Yuki sighed in despair and she covered her face with her hands. "There's not much time left..."
