* In the Forest. *

I wish those moments could last forever... But, that's all in the past. I don't believe that any of us can return back to those times... Yuki told herself as she stops in her tracks, breathing heavily after her sprint from the manor. Then, she gently wipes the remaining tears away from her eyes and looks around. Although I've played here as a child, I don't know where I am.

Rustle!

Startled, Yuki slowly turns and her eyes widens when she sees a familiar snowy-haired vampire.

"Subaru!" Yuki calls as she takes a step closer to him, but stops when she asks herself how he found her.

As Yuki watches Subaru quietly, she sees his blood red eyes narrow at her as he punches the nearest tree with his fist, making a dent in it. The angel flinches from the loud noise.

"S-Subaru...?" Yuki stammers as she stares at him in fear.

Suddenly, Subaru approaches Yuki and grabs her wrist, gripping it tightly. The angel squeezes her eyes shut as she winces in pain.

"Was it your own will?" Subaru asks which causes the angel to open her eyes and look up at him. "Was it your own choice to leave?" He finishes as his grip tightens.
"Stop it... It hurts, Subaru..." Yuki responds in pain.
"Answer me." The youngest Sakamaki demands.
"... Well... I, um..." The angel begins, but is clueless as to how she should answer him.

When Yuki could not think of anything to say, Subaru clicks his tongue and pulls Yuki towards him, forcing her to look up at him.

"You can't even answer?" Subaru growls in anger.

Yuki parts her lips, but closes it and looks away, averting his eyes.

A breeze blows and Subaru clicks his tongue again as he releases the angel's wrist. Yuki lowers her head and rubs her wrist.

The snowy haired vampire watches her and immediately regrets hurting her. He then spoke to her in a quieter voice.

"Let's go―" He begins but is interrupted.

"Why don't you answer him, Yukkin?"

In a fraction of a second, Subaru's eyes widens. He then turns around and glares at the one who spoke interrupted him.

"You..." Subaru snarls as he tries to remember the interloper's name.

Instead, Yuki calls it out.

"Ren..."

Ren was leaning against a tree with his arms crossed out in front of him. He looks at Subaru before turning his attention on Yuki.

"So this is where you've been, Yukkin. I've been looking for you." Ren says with a grin.

"What are you doing here, half-breed?" Subaru asks.

"That's not how you treat those who are older than you, Subaru." Ren teases as he suddenly appears behind Yuki and wraps his arms around her. "You want her back? Are you mad because your food was taken away?"

Subaru whirls around and glares at Ren.

"Y-You..." Subaru snarled.

"Oh, I get it. You like her, don't you?"

Subaru's hands balled into fists at his sides as he told himself to not punch the half-breed or else Yuki could get hurt.

"Don't play with me" was all Subaru could say in response to Ren's remark.

"Be more honest with yourself, Subaru." Ren sighs and licks Yuki's ear. She turns her head to the other side, exposing her bare neck. "If you want her, just take her with you right now."

"R-Ren... Don't provoke Subaru." Yuki says and Ren chuckles.

Subaru watches quietly, then clicks his tongue in annoyance. Ren sighs, again, at Subaru's reaction. He then uncoils his arms around Yuki and takes a hold of her hand.

"I guess you don't want Yukkin," he says as he turns to leave. "Then, I'll gladly take her. Let's go, Yukkin!"

As Ren slowly leads Yuki away from Subaru, the vampire suddenly reaches and grabs the angel's arm, yanking her towards him. Yuki's eyes widens when she feels Subaru's fangs in her neck and she squeezes her eyes shut.

"Subaru... Don't..." Yuki whimpers as she hears Subaru swallow.

Ren grins and crosses his arms behind his head while watching Subaru feed on Yuki's blood.

"You should've done that in the first place, Subaru." Ren teases.

Subaru drinks another mouthful before removing his fagns from Yuki's neck. He stares at his bite marks, dissatisfied.

"This is stupid..." Subaru mutters before disappearing.

The strength in Yuki's legs vanishes and she falls to the ground as she calls out Subaru's name.

Ren then kneels down in front of Yuki and turns her head to the side, examining Subaru's bite marks.

"Oh, dear... Look at the mess he made on Yukkin's neck." Ren notes as his honey colored eyes glowed. "But don't worry. I'll disinfect it for you."

Yuki opens her eyes and faces Ren as he releases her chin and wipes the leftover blood away, smearing it with his thumb. The angel flinches from his touch and he leans close to her ear.

"I'll pierce my fangs so deeply, you won't even be able to tell that this was Subaru's bite mark." Ren mumbles as he parts his lips, but closes them when he feels a hand on his shoulder. His lips curls into a grin.

"You're scaring her, Ren."

Ren backs down and chuckles as he places a hand on the angel's hand, petting her.

"Sorry if I scared you... It seems I took my joke too far." Ren apologized as he stood up, then turns to his brother. "Took you long enough, Shiki. Subaru just came and was about to take Yuki away if I wasn't here to annoy him."

"Then it was good that you found her before he took her... As expected of my older brother." Shiki says as he faces Yuki and extends a hand towards her. "Can you stand?"

Yuki stares at Shiki quietly, then shakes her head. Without any hesitation, Shiki swiftly picks her up in his arms and leans close to her ear.

"What do I have to do to get you to listen to me?" He whispers before turning to face his brother again.

Ren raised both his hands up and chuckled.

"I won't make any more mistakes." Ren says as Shiki turns and begins to make his way back to the Kuroki Manor.

"All right... Let's go."

Feeling exhausted from the loss of blood, Yuki closes her eyes and rests her head against Shiki's shoulder without any words of protest.

~ Later ~

* In the Kuroki Manor. In the birdcage. *

Yuki regains consciousness and opens her eyes slowly; her vision slightly blurry. She blinks a few times until it finally became clearer to see.

The first thing the angel sees is the top of the golden birdcage.

I'm back in here...? Yuki asks herself as she sits up on the bed, shutting her eyes close while holding her head when it throbs. Opening her eyes once again, she looks around the large ballroom, remembering what happened back in the forest. Oh, that's right... Shiki and Ren brought me back after Subaru left.

Yuki then slips out of the bed and walks around the perimeter of the cage, wondering if she will ever have the chance to escape again. She stops moving and wraps her fingers around the golden bars as she sees someone slumped against the wall. Her eyes widens in surprise when she recognizes who it is.

"Ren...?" Yuki calls out quietly, then louder. "Ren!?"

When Ren does not respond to Yuki's calls, the angel lowers her head and slowly falls to the ground on her knees. Tears flowed out of her eyes and fell to the floor.

"Just kidding!" Ren exclaims with a grin as he lifts his head up. "Were you surprised, Yukkin?"

Yuki, as well, lifts her head up and meets Ren's eyes. She stares at him in bewilderment; her tears continuing their path down her cheeks. One word was all that she could say and that was:

"Huh...?"

Ren's eyes widens in surprise as the angel quickly whirls around so that her back faced him. She covers her mouth to muffle her crying.

Stupid, stupid... Why am I crying? Yuki tells herself as she wipes the teardrops away. It won't stop― I was so scared... That Ren wouldn't be here anymore... Since when was I such a crybaby...?

Yuki is then pulled out of her thoughts when she hears the sound of footsteps from behind her. Before she could react by turning around, a pair of arms with crimson markings snakes around in front of her, his hands locking on each side of her shoulders.

"Yukkin... Don't cry..." Ren mumbles against her shoulder. The angel's eyes widens in shock. "I'm sorry... Don't cry..."

Without any warning, Ren kisses down on her shoulders and Yuki flinches from his warm lips.

"I'm sorry, Yukkin... But, I can't control myself anymore." Ren says before biting down on her shoulder.

Yuki inhales sharply from the pain and squeezes her eyes shut.

I need to stop him... Yuki says to herself as she opens her mouth, but Ren cups his hand over it, not allowing her to speak.

"... Delicious... Come on, give me more..." The half-breed mutters as he bites down on another place on her shoulder and drinks.

Ren removes his fangs and watches the blood flow out of his bite mark. His lips curls into a greedy smile as he embraces the angel. Leaning close to her ear, he whispers:

"Don't leave... Stay with me."

Yuki opens her eyes slowly and when they fully open, her eyes widens in surprise.

"Shi... ki..." Yuki calls as she stares at the vampire in front of her.

Shiki quietly stares back at Yuki, then glances at his older brother.

"I thought I told you not to scare her." Shiki says.

Ren lifts his head and grins as he moves his hand away from Yuki's mouth.

"What a greeting that is, Shiki." Ren chuckles as he hugs Yuki a little tighter. "We were just having a little bit fun, weren't we, Yukkin?"

Shiki lets out a sigh before Yuki could respond. Then he says:

"Enough, Ren... I thought we had an agreement―"

"And we did, but I never agreed to not touch Yukkin." Ren interrupts as Shiki glares at him. "There's something I want you to understand, Shiki. And that is: Yukkin will be mine."

Ren suddenly pierces his fangs through Subaru's bite mark and Yuki gasps in pain. He then covers her eyes, tilts her head back to make it easier for him to suck her blood―since he is on the other side of the cage.

Unable to quietly watch Ren indulge in pleasure, Shiki kneels down in front of the angel.

"You took the words right out of my mouth, Brother." Shiki says before snaking an arm around Yuki's waist, tugging her towards him but not enough to make Ren pull his fangs out. "You are my one and only love, Yuki. Remember that."

And without further ado, Shiki bites down on the other side―opposite of where Ren is currently feeding from―and drinks hungrily. He removes his breath and stares at the bite mark with a smirk on his face.

"I won't let anyone have you," Shiki whispers and continues to drink her blood.

Ren chuckles and kisses her neck. "Feel only my fangs on your skin."
