Chapter 24
"First Love" (Yiruma)
He carried her and ran home, which was only a few steps away. "OPEN UP!" Len yelled, knocking on the door.
"Len?" Luka asked herself. 'But he's on a trip..' She wondered.
"SOMEONE PLEASE OPEN!" Len yelled again as he nearly cried.
Luka ran to the door, and as soon as she opened, Len ran in. "What happened?!" Luka followed him as he ran into Aoki's room, putting her on her bed. "She fainted on her way. She wasn't feeling well & I forgot as we came back.. and I decided to walk.." Len said beginning to cry. "It's all my fault." Len cried.
Luka placed her hand over Aoki's head, then felt the pulse from her arm. "I think she just has a bad fever. I'll take care of her. I know lots of how to do this because I worked with Kaito at the hospital, remember? Don't worry. But where's all your things?" Luka said. "I.. left them in the sidewalk." Len said, drying his tears. "Go get them. Don't worry." Luka said with a smile.
Len walked out onto the sidewalk and picked up the luggage they left on the floor. "Am I freaking out too much?" Len wondered as he took it and walked back home. He looked up to see he snow still falling above him.
"Ah, Aoki. Worrying Len so much." Luka said with a whisper as she took a wet towel and placed it on Aoki's forehead. "I think he has fallen for you." Luka said.
Len entered into Aoki's room and placed her luggage by her closet. "How is she doing?" Len said. "She'll be better in no time." Luka said with a smile. "Yeah." He said to himself. "You've fallen for her, haven't you?" Luka said. Len turned red instantly. "Yeah." He said with a smile. "When are you going to ask her out then?" Luka asked. "I... already did." Len said. "What did she say?" Luka said. "Yea." He said. "Why wasn't I there to see this?! I always miss out all the good things!" Luka said taking a thermometer.
"It was a couple of minutes ago." Len said. "That's cool. Congratulations." Luka said with a smile. "I don't think you've congratulated me for anything before." Len said. "That all depends if i'm really proud of you or not. I don't like saying congratulations to people if I don't really mean it." Luka said, looking at the thermometer. "Oh, I see. Well, that's good." Len said looking at Aoki.
"Gosh, what a beautiful necklase she has.. and bracelet. Makes me a little jealous!" Luka said with a little laugh. "Haha.. I bought it for her." Len said. "Aren't you good at choosing things? It really goes with her." Luka said. "I saw her looking at it so much so I realized she liked it." Len smiled. "That's nice. Hey look, her temperature has gotten lower. I just hope she wakes up soon." Luka said, removing the towel, and putting another one on Aoki.
"Yea.. me too." He said. "I'll be back. Tell me if anything happens." Luka said. Len nodded
"Hey, Gumo, Aoki wont respond." Gumi said to Gumo in their hotel room. "Try resending." Gumo said. "I already did. "She was with Len wasn't she?" Gumo said. "Yea.." Gumi said thinking. "I'm calling him." Gumo said. "Why? It's not so urgent. Maybe they're busy." Gumi said as Gumo placed his phone by his ear, calling Len. "Better to be sure than sorry." Gumo said. "Well yea.." Gumi said.
Len reached into his pocket as he felt his phoone vibrate. "Hello?" Len answered. "Where you guys at?" Gumo said. "Home.." Len said a little confused. "What?" Gumo said.
"Why is he home?" Gumi whispered.
"Gumi wants to talk to you." Gumo said. "Wh-aat?" Gumi said in confusion. "Sure.." Len said. "Hello?" Gumi answered. "Yea?" Len responded. "Where's Aoki?" Gumi asked. "She.. can't speak right now." Len said, turning to lok at Aoki who had not yet awaken. "Did something happen?" Gumi asked a little worried. "Kind of." Len said.
"Tell me." Gumi said. "Well, she has a fever so we returned home. She fainted, and hasn't awaken." Len said. "I hope she gets better. Update me on anything that happens got it?" Gumi said. "Yea, I will." Len said. "Gumo's phone seems to be dying so I'll call you some other time." Gumi said, as she heard a beep from Gumo's phone. "Okay. Bye." Len said and hung up.
Len took a chair and sat by Aoki's bed. 'She's so pretty when she sleeps..' He thought to himself. Aoki slowly opened her eyes and saw Len who was by her side. "Where am I?" Aoki said. "Your in your room. You fainted." Len said. "Oh yeah." Aoki said weakly with a smile. "Isn't this quite nostalgic?" Aoki said. "Oh yeah, when we met." Len said smiling. "Yeah. I wont forget 's like you said before; it's when everything started." Aoki said.
