Chapter 26

"Big Dango Family" (Clannad, Clannad after story)

"Mikuo?" Miku spoke on the phone. "What's up?" He said. "I need to talk to you." Miku said. "Where at?" Mikuo responded. "Take me anywhere." She said.

"I.. was selfish. I don't know what I was even thinking. I can't believe I was so blind.. I thought I liked Len but I was only jealous that she got more attention than I did. I threw her out the window." Miku said as they sat in a cafe. "And you haven't made an announcement?" Mikuo asked. "She's not dead. She just.. dissapeared somehow." Miku said.

"Oh.." Mikuo said taking a sip from his coffee and thinking. "Im so stupid." Miku said throwing her face onto the table as her concsience killed her. "Your not. We all do crazy things we regret. We'll find her eventually. She can't just dissapear. It's not like there is enough snow to cover her up." Mikuo said. Miku sighed. "I don't think it's good to make it public though. I mean.. It would break Vocaloid apart. It's not about me, but the rest. They would all separate because of my fault. And I'm worried about Len. He hasn't said a word or eaten for a couple of days. I have no right to do anything." Miku said.

"Hmm.. you have a really complicated situation.. But I'll try to help you as much as I can. Does any of the Vocaloids know?" Mikuo asked. "Only Len and I know. But eventually the rest will find out." Miku said. "I'm going to have to talk to Len. But for now I want you to stay at my home. The rest are all at the trip. They'll be back soon. If you are home when they come they are going to do the crasiest things ever, then Vocaloid would seriously fall apart. If you aren't in the scene for a while it'll probably be easier to come up with a solution. Trust me, I'll do as much as I can to fix this. I'm not letting you guys fall apart after so much." Mikuo said.

"Thank you so much." Miku cried. "I don't know what i'd do without you." She said. Mikuo blushed a little. "No problem. That's what I'm here for." He said.

It was all unexpected. Its like, Something changed. Life changed. Everything turned different. What seemed like someting that wouldn't change life at all, turned out to be the most important to me. What seemed to be the most trusted by my heart turned out to be the enemy I now fear. Life is impossible. Living isn't easy. Things are a tragedy, yet they are all for good.. no? Thats what I have been thought throught. What have I been thought? To let life do as it likes with me? There is things I cant battle with, just deal with. What is it now? How will make it throught this life I no longer like?

The days passed as the snow began to lessen by the days. New Years passed and so did chrismas, with there finally being sign of the Vocaloid's at home, as their trip came to an end.

"Isn't it so quiet?" Rin said as she entered the house and looked around. Usually Miku was very lively and if Len was there, things would become a mess before anyone got home. It was clean and quiet. "Finally it's clean and quiet, right?" Luka said walking into the living room as the rest walked in. "Awfully quiet and clean. Kind of gives me the chills. It's scary to think that it's actually this way." Gumi said. They all froze as they could feel a change in their home. It wasn't what they would ever expect. Ever. "Where's Miku anyway?" Kaito asked as he realized that Miku hadn't came out running as before. "Honestly, I haven't been paying much attention. It's not like I can keep track of everyone." Luka said.

Rin threw her things on the floor and ran upstairs. She had not received her usual welcome from her dear brother. "Len?!" Rin yelled, as she ran upstairs and found herself facing a locked door. She tried to open it. No success. "Why are you locked up?!" Rin yelled. No response. This wasnt usual of him to do, no matter how annoying Rin could get. She felt scared as she noticed how odd things were. "Gumo, I'm scared." Gumi said to him as they heard Rin yell. Everyone just stood there listening. They felt useless, confused, without knowing what they should do. "Where's Aoki?" Gumo asked. Gumi took out her cell phone and called Aoki as she walked upstairs. She felt scared, not knowing what to expect. As soon as she reached the top, she saw Rin sitting right in front of Len's door. "I refuse to leave until you open!" Rin yelled.

Gumi kept walking to Aoki's room. Shen entered and began to hear the ringtone of her dear friend's phone. She walked closer to the sound of it, to find herself looking out the window. A cell phone ringed from the floor outside the window. She felt a tear run down her cheek, as she was too confused to even come up with any reason for whatever was going on. Gumo followed Gumi and he huged her, as he could feel the feelings that lingered in her heart. "I don't know.. I don't know.." Gumi said as she tried to think, but refused to let herself at the same time. "Everything will be found out at it's time. Just be patient." Gumo said. Gumi nodded.

That day was the most confusing day for everyone. It remained quiet. Until the next day.

Gumi woke up to the familiar sound of a friend. A freind whose voice she could not make into words into her mind. "Yoko?" Gumi said as the bird stood in front of her. The bird sang in a beutiful melody that woke Gumo who was sleeping on the floor, next to Gumi's bed. "It's nice to wake up this way." He said smiling. "Yea.. kind of nostalgic though." Gumi said as she let out a small sigh. "Don't worry, I don't want you to stress out. We're all worried, it's not like we'll ignore what is happening." Gumo said. "Yea, you are right." Gumi said.

"Come on, let's be detectives." Gumo said with a smile. "Haha, really?" Gumi said as she remembered when they were younger. "Yup. We can figure things out, being happy at the same time. Worrying will only make things much harder." Gumo said. "Your right as always. I should lean from your advice." Gumi smiled. "Back to you. You have no idea how many times your advice has helped me." Gumo said. "That's what we're here for, no?" Gumi smiled.

Gumo got up and looked at the bird. "I guess so. Come on, let's go on a mission." He said. Gumi stood up as well and took Gumo's hand, and walked out her room.

"Here, oranges." Kaito gave Rin oranges as she sat outside Len's room. "Your still here?" Gumo asked as they saw her. "Yep! I'm keeping my promise this time, no matter how hard I may be. I'm not letting my brother down." She said with a gentle smile. "And since she refuses, I am her helper in bringing her food and whatever."

"Kind of seems like they've turned nicer." Gumi said once they were downstairs. "It's like something is changing us." Gumo said. They both looked at each other and smiled. "I just came up with an idea." Gumo said. "What?" Gumi asked as she took carrots from the pile of vegetables from the kitchen. "Don't you have a ladder?" Gumo asked. "Yeah." Gumi said. "You can open Len's window from outside?" Gumo asked. "Yea.. I think so." Gumi said thinking. "I'll be right back." Gumo said, taking a carrot and hurring outside. "Be careful!" Gumi yelled.

Before Gumi could go check on him, he had already climbed the ladder and opened the window, jumping in right away. Len turned to look at Gumo who had invaded his room, as he sat miserably in the corner of his room, writing on a journal. "It's okay if you refuse to say anything now, but please don't leave me, brother." Gumo said. Len began crying. "I wont." He said in tears. "It's okay." Gumo said as he went to hug Len. He could feel the pain that he must be suffereing.

"Is that..?" Rin suddenly froze, listening to the voices coming from her brothers' room. She smiled to hear that familiar voice of her twin again. "My duty is yet not fulfileld." She said to Kaito, who was now sitting next to her. "Until he comes out, right?" Kaito asked. Rin nodded.

After a while of crying, Len finally managed to stop his tears. "Are you okay?" Gumo said. "I feel a bit better now." Len gave out a little smile. "The rest are waiting for you." Gumo said. Len looked at him without saying a word. "They wont ask for an explanation, don't worry. They're just waiting on you." Gumo said. Len kind of smiled. "Thanks, I don't know what I would do without you." Len said. "That's what brothers are for!" Gumo said, smiling. " Len giggled.

"They stood up, and Len opened the door, to find both Kaito and Rin waiting outside his door. "My twin!" Rin yelled, standing up and huging him. Kaito and Gumo smiled as they saw the two unseparable sibings together. "I don't know what's gotten into you, but whatever it is, I'll always be here to help. I'll bring you bananas when you need them. Got it?" Rin said. Len smiled with a nod.

"Let's go eat! I bet your hungry!" Rin said to Len, pulling him with her, downstairs to the kitchen.

"Did you climb your way to his window?" Kaito asked Gumo as they followed Rin. "Sometimes you got to do the impossible you know. I'm a bit bad with heights, but I didn't even notice this time." Gumo said as he realized how fast he reacted. "Might just learn from you." Kaito said. "How?" Gumo asked. "In many things. Like protecting those who are important to you and doing everything, even the impossible." Kaito said. Gumo turned to look at Kaito who was looking towards Rin.

"I had Kaito buy lots of Bananas! I knows it was sort of lazy of me.. but I know you'll appreciate it!" Rin said happily to Len who stayed silent but smiled as Rin happily showed Len.

A/N: I was never really planning to make this a tragedy.. umm.. I don't think it would be good to do it this far in the story, hence the fact that I didn't put it on the type of this story this was.. Sorry, kind of spoils it. Thank you for the review though! I really appreciate it! Thank You!

Tried to make this a bit longer to make up for it a little, although the time I didn't update was much more... anyway, I'll try my best! Thanks once again to those followers (If your still out there somewhere!) and reviewers. I really appreciate the time you take to read this story, although it is probably not my best. Anyway, thanks again! I hope to be updating soon!
