10.5 EXTRA CHAPTER

10 years ago – London, England

The royal family from Sweden came to visit the London's royal family, the two families have a deep ties way back to their ancestors. And today, they want to deepen their relationship thru marriage.

"Madeleine" the queen called the young princess softly. They are having a tea at the Buckingham Palace, the residence of the royal family.

"Yes, your highness?"

The queen smiled at her "What can you say about Ren?" she's referring to her youngest son, whom soon to be Madeleine's betrothed.

She glance at the young prince "We are getting along just fine, your highness" she politely answered

Her mother softly laugh "I know they will get along, your highness. Madeleine is the kind of girl who can make friends easily"

"No need to be so formal to Ann, you can call me Mary. We will become a family in the near future" Queen Mary stated.

Queen Ann looked at her and smiled "Your right, Mary"

"Mother" Ren tug his mother's dress to get her attention

"What is it my dear?"

"Madeleine and I wanted to go to the Crystal Palace. Can we go? Please?" Ren plea.

The queen thinks for a moment "Okay. But have your brother and sister go with you."

"I agree. I also want Erik to go with you Madeleine" Queen Ann seconded

"Okay!" the two kids excitedly responded.

Crystal Palace

"Wow! So many people!" Madeleine was awed at the place.

"Madeleine, don't let yourself to get lost" Anabelle, Ren's older sister said.

Her brother holds her hand "Don't let go of me, okay?"

She smiled "Okay!"

The Crystal Palace is the best place for exhibits. Lots of sculptures and ornaments are displayed for viewing. Madeleine was fascinated by the display and forget about the people who are with her.

She picked one of the figurines and turned to let her brother to see "Brother, brother! Look at this –" there's no one was there, she remembered letting go from his brother's grip earlier. "Brother! Belle! Ren! Sam!" she called, she looked everywhere but she can't find them. "Where are you?" tears started to coalesce on her eyes, then she trailed the path that they walked in earlier.

"What is it Noll?" Gene asked his brother when he saw him looking around.

Noll didn't answered, he still looking where the voice came from and there she saw a girl who is about to cry "Nothing. Gene, I will wait for you outside. Accompany mom and dad. Okay." he didn't wait for his brother's respond and went after the girl that he saw.

"Brother! Where are you?" He turned around when he heard that voice again calling for his brother, and at the corner he saw her crying on her knees, he went slowly towards her and slowly tap her shoulder.

"Are you lost?" He asked

She nodded, wiping her non-stop tears with her hand. "I can't find my brother" she said between sobs.

He handed him his handkerchief "You can use this"

She looked at him and took his handkerchief. Noll sit in front of the girl who is still crying. Then an idea came into him, he reached his pocket and get a coin.

"Shall I introduce to my pet?" He stated.

She looked at him, wiping her tears "Pet?"

He reached his hand "Here, come and look" a coin appeared.

"You're not going to me that your pet's a coin, are you?" she curiously asked.

The coin started to move, and disappeared. "It's hiding because you made fun of it" he said, looking at her.

"You're lying! It's still in your hand!" She pointed at his closed palm.

He open his two hands "Where?"

She was surprised that it wasn't there "What?"

Naru touched his shoulder "Ah, it's here"

"How did that happen?" she asked excitedly.

Madeleine forgot that she's lost and was supposedly looking for his brother, because of the boy in front of her, doing some magic tricks.

Noll tossed the coin "Catch!"

She's preparing to catch it but it disappeared again "Huh? You didn't even throw it at me" she pouted.

They both laugh, at her childishness.

"Are you okay now?" Noll asked

She nodded and smile at him "Yes, thank you." She saw a familiar figures worriedly looking anywhere. It's her brother and the others. She immediately stood up.

"They're here" she stated. Noll looked at the direction that she's looking, he stood up too.

"Is that your brother?"

"Yes"

Noll smiled "Then, I'll be going too. My brother and parents are waiting for me outside" but before he turned away "I'm Oliver. What's your name?" he asked

"Madeleine. Madeleine Anntonette Irish"

Noll raised his eyebrow "Too long. It can be shorten to MAI"

"Mai" she softly said, "I like it!" she smiled at him.

"I'm glad!" Noll smiled back "Take care! Don't let yourself to be lost again!" he wave at her, bid her goodbye. He walked to the exit, when he's already at the doorway he heard her shouted "Even if I get lost, you will be there to find me, right?" he turned back and saw her smiling.

"Of course!" he shouted back.

He saw her wave at him, and run towards where her brother is.

Erik hugged his sister "Where have you been?" he asked worriedly

"We are so worried about you Madeleine" Sam – the eldest son of the queen, said.

"I'm sorry" is what she can only say

Annabelle pat her hair "It's okay. At least you are safe"

"Now that we found her, let's go home" Ren suggested and took her hand, he saw her looked at him "to make sure you will never get lost again, okay?" he said.

She smiled "Thank you"

They are walking to the parking lot with their chaperons, when Madeleine thought of something.

"Brother, Belle, Ren, Sam" they all looked at her "Why not trying to calling me 'Mai' from now on?" she stated.

The four look at each other. Confused from what she's trying to say.

"Why?" Erik asked

"Because my full name is too long, and it can be shorten to 'Mai'"

"It's true" Ren seconded "'Madeleine Anntonette Irish' M-A-I, 'Mai'" he uttered

"Oh, you're right!" Annabelle and Sam said together.

"Well then, from now on, we will call you Mai!" Erik said.

And they drive back to the palace.

"Noll" Gene knocked at his brother's door, when no one answered, he tried to turn the knob and it was open. He entered to his brother's room but he's not inside. He's about leave, when a notebook caught his attention – it was Noll's diary. He read what he wrote for today's occurrence, and the last and the part made him smile.

Today at the Crystal Palace, I heard a girl's voice calling for her brother. When I saw her, she's about to cry. I followed her, and saw her crying already. She's lost and looking for his brother. I used my PK and pull some tricks to cheer her up. When she finally smiled, I was captivated. She's so beautiful. Her name is Madeleine Anntonette Irish, too long right? But it suits her. And I was hoping, seeing her again.

Gene's smile faded when he re-read a certain line, I used my PK and pull some tricks to cheer her up. He immediately close Noll's diary and looked for his brother. When he open the bathroom, his eyes widened, there he saw his brother unconscious, and was lying on the floor.

"Idiot! You can cheer up a girl even without using your PK" he uttered. And try carrying him out to his bed.
