Chapter 15 - Unexpected Trip to England

Another ordinary day in the office. The irregulars are playing card games, Akira is reading the latest fashion magazine, Gene is playing a video game, well as for Mai, she's filing the files from their previous cases. They already know that Naru is Oliver Davis, the irregulars were shocked (except Masako), who wouldn't right? After all this time they didn't know that are all working under Oliver Davis.

The phone that only receive a call from BSPR ring.

"Shibuya Psychic Research" Mai politely answered with her fluent English accent.

"Mai!" A cheerful voice can be heard from the other line

"Madoka?" she asked for assurance.

She giggled "Right on the mark! Can I speak to Noll, please?" she requested.

Mai smiled "Sure. Wait a moment" she rose from her seat and knocked at Naru's door. She slightly open it, and popped her head into the doorway "Madoka is on line three, Naru" she stated.

Moments later, Naru went out from his office with an irritated look "Everyone" he heaved a sigh "It's mom's birthday this weekend, and she want to celebrate it with you. And with that said, we're going to London" he announced.

"WHAT? REALLY?" they all surprisingly asked, they all cheered when he saw him nodded.

Bou-san dashed towards Naru and grasp both of his shoulder "Are you sure Naru? When will be our flight?" he can't hide the excitement written all over his face

"Tonight" he sharply said

Akira raised her hand "Can I go too, Noll?" she asked "I really, really, really, love England!" she added and smiled at him.

Naru sighed "Fine. Then give your passport to Lin, and he will take care of everything"

"Eh?" Akira was taken aback from what he just said, she looked at Mai who seemed in panic, That's right, her full name and citizenship are written in her passport, she thought.

"Mai, if you don't have a passport, we can rush it" Ayako said, when she saw her in deep thought.

Mai looked at her "Thank you, but I already have a passport, Ayako" she smile at the miko.

"Then it saves us from trouble, give it to Lin" he looked at the people who always gather in his office, doing nothing but playing games "You can go home now to prepare. Let's meet at Narita Airport 8:00PM sharp." He's about to go back in his office when Akira stated a suggestion "Why don't you give your passport to me, instead of Lin?" she said

Naru raised his eyebrow "Why?"

"I will take care of everything. My family owned an airline company, remember?"

Gene nodded "I think it's a good idea Noll"

"Alright then, I will let you take care of it" he looked at Mai and... "A cup of tea before you leave would be nice" then he enter in his office.

Mai looked at her friend and mouthed 'thank you'. She understands her situation, and she's doing this for her. Akira winked and smiled at her as a response.

Narita Airport - 20:00

"Is everyone here?" Naru looked at them and he notice someone's missing, Mai he thought

Akira who seem to read his mind informed him "Oh, if you are looking for Mai, she's already at the waiting area"

"Whoa! Really? She's too excited" Yasu commented

"Maybe it's her first time going abroad?" John asked no one particularly

Masako shrugged "Let her be."

"Naru, it's time" Lin informed him.

"Let's go to where Mai is" Naru sharply said. They check in their luggage and headed to where Mai is already waiting.

At the waiting area, Mai informed her childhood friends thru email that she's going to England, with a P.S. to find a way to meet them. She sent her email with a smile.

Buckingham Palace, London, England

A blond-haired young man running on the hallway going towards his brother's room, and he abruptly open it "Sam, have you received an email from her?" he asked his older brother, who is reading a book on his bed, with his phone on the top of his side table.

"Yes Ren, I did."

"Let's asked her for some souvenirs from Japan"

Sam stared at his younger brother "Ask her yourself"

Ren pouted "Stingy!"

Sam throw a pillow to him, who still standing at the doorway, but Ren is fast to avoid it and hit their sister who is about to enter instead.

"AH!"

"What do you think you're doing" their only sister - Annabelle, said as she picked up the pillow, she looked at Ren "She's coming here in England"

Ren rolled his eyes "I know. She sent me an email"

Both Sam and Annabelle grinned looking at him "I thought she already forget you when she went to Japan" his sister teased.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Maybe she already fall for her boss? And forget about your engagement?" Sam stated, and he saw his sister nodded in agreement.

"Her boss is that Oliver Davis, right? That grumpy, yet good-looking but I'm still good-looking, younger twin brother of Eugene." he crossed his arms to his chest "But if she fall in love with someone, then it's much better. We can cancel our engagement, in that way I can still play with women" he proudly said.

"Get lost, you are disgusting! And you dare to call yourself a crown prince of England, with that attitude!" Both Annabelle and Sam kicked him out of the room.

Heathrow Airport, London

They are now at one of London's main airports – Heathrow Airport. It is one of the busiest airports in the country.

"Noll, Madoka will pick up us later. Mom and dad are both busy." Gene informed him after talking to the phone, Noll nodded in understanding

"Wow! So this is Heathrow Airport" Yasu stated as he looked around the place, it is indeed a busy airport

"But I can't speak English well" Bou-san worriedly said

Ayako sighed "At least you can understand it. And besides, we have John to translate it for you"

John nodded "Don't worry, you can leave it to me"

"By the way Noll, have you seen Mai?" Gene asked when he didn't see Mai in the group

He looked at everyone and furrowed his eyebrow when he notice that they are missing one more person aside from his assistant "Yukimura-san too"

"I think they got lost" John stated with worry

"That's possible" Yasu agreed

Gene notice the two bags "But their luggage are here"

Naru's face was set into a scowl, clearly irritated "That idiot," he muttered under his breath. "Gene, look for Yukimura-san, and I will look for Mai" he looked at the rest "You. Stay. Here." He ordered sharply.

Naru saw Mai at the exchange money section, he sighed from relief that she's okay, "Mai" he called, and he saw her pounced.

"Na-naru! What are you doing here?" She asked

"I'm the one who should be asking that. Where's Yukimura-san?" he asked when he didn't saw her with Mai.

"Akira went to the Ladies room" she replied quickly

The two went back to where the others are waiting "I thought you got lost" Naru uttered

Mai softly chuckled "Well, even if I get lost I'm not worried"

"And what do mean by that?"

She smiled "Because… even if I get lost, you will be there to find me, right?"

Naru's eyes widened and surprised upon hearing her words "You… What did –"

"Jou-chan! I'm so worried!" Bou-san jumped and hugged Mai, he didn't have an idea that he interrupted whatever Naru's trying to say

"Everyone! Sorry for waiting!" Madoka lively yelled, she went and kissed Lin whom she missed so much

"Naru…" Mai called "Let's go" she smiled at him. Naru was trying not to blush from her carefree smile.

Hours later, they arrived at the Davis' residence, it's a breathtaking Victorian Style Mansion. The SPR were gaping while roaming their eyes in the living room.

"Whoa! Naru, you live in here?" Yasu asked

"Obviously"

Ayako tap Mai's shoulder "Are you surprise at Naru's house?"

Mai looked at the living room and shrugged "Not so. It seems ordinary" they are all staring hearing her blunt comment.

Akira giggled Of course, she literally grew up in a castle, something like this looks ordinary to her, she thought

"Welcome home Gene, Noll and to your team" a woman on her 40s welcome them with a smile, she kissed her two boys, Naru cleared his throat and introduce his team to her "Mother, this is my team in Japan, my assistant Mai, the priestess Ayako, the monk Bou-san, Father John, the medium Hara-san, and Mai's friend, Akira" they all bowed as a respect to her.

"It's nice to finally meet you" she hugged them, "You can put your luggage on the guest rooms that I prepared. I will be in the kitchen preparing our lunch"

"Yes, ma'am" she smiled at them and went to the kitchen.

Mai and Akira in one room; Ayako and Masako in the other; Bou-san, John and Yasu are in one room.

"Is there somewhere you wanted to go to, Akira?" Mai asked while unpacking their things

Akira thought for a moment "Let's go to the Crystal Palace! I want to see their exhibits!"

She smiled "Sure! Then we can go to Buckingham Palace after."

Her friend's eyes sparkled upon hearing the Buckingham Palace "Really?" she asked excitedly

"Yup! I will visit my childhood friends. I will introduce you to them"

"You mean I can meet the princes and princess?!" she almost yelled.

Mai covered her mouth immediately for making such noise "Shhh! What if they will hear you!"

Akira nodded, and they continue unpacking their things.

The SPR was in the living room when a man suddenly showed up, catching his breath. He looked at everyone and widened his eyes when he saw the person that he wanted to see the most.

"A-CHAN?!"

Akira suddenly stood up, she can't believe her eyes from what she's seeing in front of here "Kouen?"

"A-chan! It's really you! When my brother told me that you are here, I immediately rushed here"

Everyone looked at the man, then Akira, they get the picture now. This man is Lin's brother and Akira's ex-boyfriend! And they didn't missed to see Gene's deathly glare at the man!
