Erik knock softly at his father's office "I'm here, father" he opened the door when he heard him to enter.

He noticed his father sitting behind the desk with bookcases that lined the walls behind him, with a newspaper in hand. Everything in the room spoke of his father's commanding presence.

He looked at his son and fold the newspaper that he has been reading "Six months from now, it's not only Madeleine's twenty-first birthday, but also her engagement to the Second Prince of England" Erik stared at her father slightly furrowing his eyebrows, as he listen

"Madeleine must not forget her duty. You know how this engagement will affect in both countries." his father said in a profound voice.

Erik clenched his hand and took a deep breath "Father, I have something to propose to you, will you hear me out?" he respectfully asked

His father look at him and nod "Speak" he ordered.

Naru is still training Mai on how to control her PK, like how Lin trained him in the past. He was glad that today none of the irregulars dropped by, nor a client, it was indeed a quality time with each other.

"You're doing great, Mai" he praised

"Really? You think so?"

He nodded "Of course, who do think your teacher is?" he said with smug

"Well, a narcissistic jerk what else could be" she said with a smile. She stood up from sitting on the floor "Naru, I'll be going first"

"Okay, but before you go –"

"– tea" Mai continue his sentence.

He smirk "You've really grown"

She was tired, both mentally and physically. She's lying on her bed when she recall the phone call she got from her father, months ago.

"Madeleine" she heard her father's voice on the other line, she got nervous it's unusual for him to call her.

"Yes, father?"

"It's seems that you're enjoying the kind life that you really wanted" her father directly said "But I hope, you didn't forget your duty" he added.

"Of course... not, father" she softly said, so it was about that after all, she thought

"Good. Well then, take care" he hung up.

She heaved a sigh, six more months then it's over huh, she saddened from the thought of leaving Japan, leaving SPR, and leaving her friends.

"My duty..." she mumbled "Naru..." she whispered as a tear trailed on her face before she falls asleep.

Next morning, she's not quite feeling well but she still choose to report in SPR. When she opened the door, the irrigulars noisiness welcomed her, she smiled at the scene in front of her, she don't want to be apart to these people. A tear slowly rolled on her cheek.

"Mai? Are you okay?" Gene asked worriedly, Akira jumped from her seat and give her a hug the moment she saw her.

"Hey what's wrong?" she whispered as she rub her back to comfort her. Mai look at the people before her. She smile at them.

It's been two months since Akira and Gene are officially together, and he tried to calm her mother down with her wedding preparations. Akira was shocked when Luella showed up in the office one week of their relationship, bringing a wedding dress magazines, wedding cake magazines, honeymoon places magazines, and some tailors to get her size.

The couple was all red-face when Luella suggested names for their future babies, and Akira can't take the discomfiture anymore, she fainted. That's when she stopped, and Gene scolded her for making his girlfriend embarrass to the point of fainting.

Luella (dramatically) wail, saying that she's just excited to have grandchildren. A moment later, Martin showed up apologizing to his sons, he didn't know that his wife sneak out to go Japan.

She wipe her tears "Of course. I'm sorry for making you worried" she smiled at them and went to her table, she put her bag and coat, and went to the kichenette to prepare the tea.

The couple gives her a worried look.

"I wonder what's wrong her" Gene mumbled, as they went back to the couch. Akira remained silent, but she already have an idea why.

"We don't know if she won't tell us" She responded. Akira blush when Gene snuggle his face to her neck.

"Ah~ I'm jealous, so good to be young." Bou-san sang at the two of them, Gene smirk at him.

"Because you are now old, fake monk" Ayako riposte and flip her hair

Bou-san snorted "At least I'm not old as you" Ayako's magic purse flew on his face, and the two started their nonsense kerfuffle

John sigh "He already knows that Ayako-san will hurt him with that remark, but still..." he shake his head in disbelief

The bespectacled man grin "It's because he loves to tortured by Ayako-san. You the saying "You know its love, if it hurts" and Bou-san take it literally"

With her kimono sleeve covering her mouth, Masako scoff "Ridiculous"

Mai entered the common room with a tray of tea for everyone, Akira stood up to help her "Thanks~"

She knock to Lin's office to give him his tea, and lastly to Naru's. Mai silently put the tea on his desk, and softly smile at him, the young boss notice that she's not in good mood and it worries him. He stand up and walk to her.

"Are you okay?" Mai look at him and nodded, he sigh "I can read you like an open book, Mai. I know you're not okay"

"Are you worried about me?"

"Yes" he softly answered. He leads her to the couch and the two are sitting face to face, Naru took a coin from his pocket "I want you to meet my pet" and he played tricks using his PK to cheer her up.

"Thank you Naru" she give him her smile that reached her eyes, he tried not to blush when she gently put her hand on his cheek, and kiss the other. "I'm okay now" He nodded at her, she stand up and left to do her work.

After seeing her left his office, Naru saw blurred images flash in his head, he saw his younger self doing the same trick on a girl. He didn't saw her face, but he saw himself smiling at the girl.

He softly gasp when the flash of blurred images stop and stare at the coin on his hand.

"I'm pretty sure that this is the first time I did this trick to a girl" he was confused and tried to concentrate hoping that he will have the same visions again, but failed. He shrugged, and let it go.

He look at the time, its quarter to twelve and he's hungry, but there's so much work to do. Lin already out for lunch break together with Gene and Akira, Mai still didn't ask for lunch break and he heard her declining her friend's invitation earlier.

"Naru?" Mai's voice called him from the outside, she poke her head and smile at him "Aren't you going out for lunch? I can look out the office while you're gone"

"I'm fine Mai, you should have your lunch by now or you won't grow" he teased.

Mai widen her eyes "Are you saying my chest is small?!" she yelled

Naru almost face-palmed, her innocence never cease to amaze him, he chuckled softly "I'm not talking about your chest, I meant your height, idiot"

Her anger was replaced by embarrassment "Sorry for being an idiot, jerk!" she huff away and slammed his door.

And oh, Naru forgot that he's hungry, he was smiling while continuing his work. He didn't hear Mai leave the office. But a moment later, the front door chimed and he heard a muffle noises.

"Naru! Come out let's eat! I order some food for us!" She yelled from the common room. He sigh and went to see his spasmodic assistant

"Mai, I told you I'm not –" but when he saw the food on the table, his stomach betray him and let out a soft growl.

She grin at him "See, you're hungry. Come on" she handed him a chopsticks and sit on the couch. Mai put the 'close for lunch break' sign, and lock the office, she smirk when she saw his confuse look "So that no one will disturb us"

Gene notice his brother's good mood when they came back from lunch "Hey Noll, something good happened earlier while we were gone?" he teasing grin

"Nothing that concerns you" he bluntly said as he type from his laptop.

"But your sparkling" Naru stop to look at him "You are definitely in good mood, brother~"

He continue typing, and ignore his brother's teasing. He don't want him to know about his little lunch date with Mai. Gene's still continue teasing him when Mai knocks, telling them that there's a client.

The twins left to see the client.

A man wearing a black business suit, and probably on his forties sit on the couch, he smile when Mai serve him a tea. But he widened his eyes when he saw Akira enter the office.

"Akira-sama?"

"Ah, Uncle Kyoya! What brings you here?" she hugged the man, and sit on the couch beside Gene. "Noll, this Kyoya Suzuki, my Uncle's secretary." She introduced.

Suzuki-san respectfully bow before him, and Naru give him a short bow in response. "What brings you here, Suzuki-san?"

"I'm here in behalf of my boss. There are strange happenings in our hotel since we extended it…" He begins.
