"Please, Hiroshi. Stop it, calm down." His wife begged. She crawl out of the house, but her husband yanked her hair.
"I'm not the first man who touched you! I can't believe I married a whore!" he kicked her side, again and again until she coughed blood.
"I'm sorry..." she cried. They just got married yesterday, and on their first night, his eyes widened from the grasp that his wife is no longer pure, like what he thought, someone else already touched her. And it makes him angry.
He slapped her face, and face make her face him "Who? Who touched you first?!"
"I'm sorry, it's Kyo..." she was trembling.
"My brother?!" he yelled, her cries answered it all. "BTCH!" he repeatedly hit her, until she was unconscious.
He carried her lifeless body, and buried her in their back yard. He went to his brother room, he was sleeping, without any word he shot him. He buried him near to his wife's.
He started assaulting young women, he wanted their yet to come husbands feel what he felt. Knowing that their wife was touched by someone other than them. He chuckled. At first, it was just a form of revenge, but later on, it became a craving to him. When the local police knows about his crime, and he committed suicide before they can arrest him.
"Even death can't stop me." then he pulled the trigger.
Mai gasped and she felt pain all over her body. She grunted. When did she fall asleep?
"Mai, are you okay? You used your PK earlier, are you hungry?" Akira asked her worriedly, she shook her head. She help her to sit down.
"How long I've been out?" she asked as she rubbed her head.
"An hour. You and Gene suddenly collapsed when Yasuhara started to read out the information he gathered"
Gene was lying on the couch, he roll over and drop on the floor. "Oww..." he hissed.
"Idiot" Naru muttered.
"Where's Mai?" He asked when he didn't her around.
Bou-san pointed behind him "In the bed"
Mai went to their makeshift kitchen to make a tea for everyone. Akira went to join everyone, she sit beside Gene.
"Are you okay?" Gene nodded, and took her hand with his.
"Did you have any dreams?" Naru asked
"I'm in the killer's point of view, and Mai is the victim" Everyone gasped. He looked at his trembling hands "I... Killed Mai."
Akira comforted him "No you didn't. It's just a dream, Gene."
"I know, but it felt so real."
Masako rolled her eyes, too much drama "By the way, what will you do about the equipment that Mai broke? Half of it exploded."
Akira glared at her "Don't worry, Hara-san. I can pay for it." she dialed one of their company's number asked for replacement.
John cleared his throat "So... uhm... the ghost only targeted virgin women?" he blushed.
"It seems so."
Ayako hugged herself "Scary!"
Bou-san scoffed "Why you would be? You're old to be still a virgin."
The miko was red from embarrassment, she punch him, and thwack him with her purse. "What do mean by that?!" Bou-san just laugh. Oh how he love her reactions.
"It doesn't only spare Ayako, but also Hara-san, so it means..." Yasu looked at the medium, everybody looked at her too, she covered her red face. When Mai came in with holding a tray, Masako smirk.
"What did you expect when Naru and I was dating before? Only Dinner? Watching movies? If you think so, then you're kids."
Mai tripped when she heard what Masako just said, she almost dropped the tray. Akira gasped and look at Naru, Gene shook his head and chuckled, he don't believe it. Bou-san smack Naru's shoulder with a grin on his face.
"You sly one!"
Naru only raised his eyebrow "I didn't remember doing that with you, Hara-san. Maybe you're hallucinating."
"Aw. Big Boss is shy. It's alright! Now we can talk about sex, since big boss is no longer a virgin." Yasuhara cheered.
Naru rolled his eyes, he don't need to explain his self to them, only to Mai. He wanted her to know that it's not true, that she's the only woman he wanted to be in his bed with him and no one else.
The team made jokes about him, the room was filled with teasing and laughter.
Mai was trembling as she placed Naru's tea on his table, when she heard Masako declared that something happen between her and Naru she wanted to cry. Naru took her hand, she looked at his blue eyes.
"Yes? Do you need something else?"
In a soft voice, that only her can hear he asked "Are you okay?" she smiled at him and nodded "Tell me about yours and Gene's dream"
Lin smirked at is young charged, Naru can't hide everything.
Both of Mai and Gene narrated their dreams. Gene apologized for 'killing' her, she didn't mind it at all.
"But wait, this hotel already established for twenty years. So why it only attacked now?" Akira curiously asked.
Before anyone can answer him, a knock interrupted them. Yasu opened the door, and it's a delivery men carrying six medium boxes, together with Suzuki-san.
"Akira-sama, the flat screen TV monitors you ordered is here"
"Oh, thank you Uncle Kyoya!"
The delivery men and Suzuki-san bowed their selves' before leaving. The guys help to set up the new monitors.
"Back to where we left before, why did these ghosts only showed up their selves now?" Ayako asked
"Maybe it has something to do when they decided to make an extension of the hotel?" John commented
Naru has his serious face, thinking. "You're might be right. Everyone, let's go to the north side of the Hotel. Matsuzaki-san, there might be a living tree nearby."
Ayako nodded, and everyone except Lin and Masako, left.
"Please, dig my body out."
Mai and Gene stopped, they looked at each other as if saying 'did you hear that?'
Ayako sighs "It's so sad, all of the trees are dead."
"You're useless again" Bou-san teased, the miko elbowed him on the gut. Ayako crossed her arms and walk away from him.
"It's here"
"Noll!"
Naru halted when Gene called his name "What?"
"This is where Hiroshi's wife and brother were buried"
"Are you sure?"
Gene and Mai nodded.
Bou-san, Naru, Gene, and Yasuhara started to dig the ground. Not a moment later, the air become colder.
"I won't let you!" Hiroshi's ghost glared at them. "She's a whore, let them rot in there!" His brother standing beside him, staring at them.
"He controlled his own brother" Gene muttered. He's holding Akira close, so as Naru holding Mai.
"Ayako!" Bou-san called, the miko nodded. She knows what to do, she went closer to the two ghosts and recite the spirit-binding spell.
The two exorcists immediately perform the exorcism. But Hiroshi's will is strong, he release a sharp wind shackle which scraped their faces and arms.
"Hiroshi" Naru called the ghost. The air around him become colder and colder, his whole body was glowing with his PK. He raised his arms ready to strike him "This is for hurting those women."
They close eyes from the bright light coming from Naru's body.
Takafumi Igarashi handed him a check "Thank you, Dr. Davis. I hope this is enough." Naru gladly took it, Gene look at the check from his brother's shoulders and he almost blugged his eyes out, there's a lot of zeroes on it.
After Naru destroyed Hiroshi's ghost and his brother's, Akira called his uncle and explained what they found. Igarashi-sama then immediately called the police.
Naru flashed his business smile to man before him "It's my pleasure, Igarashi-sama"
Igarahi-sama glance at his niece "Akira, I heard from your parents that you are currently dating someone."
Everyone in the room stopped from they are doing, and look at the lady in question "Yes, Uncle Takafumi-sama"
"May I know who the guy is? Have you done a background check on him?"
Gene straighten "It is me that Akira currently dating, Igarashi-sama. I'm Eugene Davis."
He raised his eyebrow "You?" then he look at his niece again "Are you going to be a ghost hunter?" Akira didn't answer.
He looked back at Gene "You, young man. I have a question but I don't want your answer immediately. I want you to think over it."
"What is it, Igarashi-sama?"
"Are you willing to give up ghost hunting, to lead The Yukimura Group of Companies?"
Gene slightly widened his eyes, he never thought about it.
"Sei, her brother, don't have to inherit the whole company, being a pilot himself he will only wanted to lead the Yukimura Airlines." Igarashi-sama started "And her younger brother is still in middle school. That makes Akira the next heir, but even her, don't want to accept the position, so we decided that her future husband to enter the Yukimura household and lead their business."
When Igarashi-sama saw Gene who seems conflicting inside, he continue "If you can't do that least, then you should break up while the two of you haven't been together that long."
"Uncle –" she wanted to protest, but her uncle's demeanor stopped her, he's serious.
He patted Gene's shoulder "I don't want you to make your decision right here, right now. I only told you this because I wanted you to think about." then he left.
It's six in the evening, and Gene locked his self in his room. Naru and Lin both know that he have some serious thinking to make. His phone ring, he furrowed his eyebrow from the unknown number flashed on the caller ID.
"Hello?"
"Ah, Eugene Davis?" the man from the other line asked
"Yes, speaking. Who is this?"
"This is Akira's father, Sousuke. Can I meet you tonight, with my wife, for dinner?" he sounds hopeful
"Of course, sir"
Sousuke laugh "Don't be so formal, I'm not like that fogyish Takafumi that you met, you can call me Uncle Sou."
Gene smiled "Alright, Uncle Sou. Where will I meet you?"
"Here at L'Osier Restaurant."
"I'll be there, give me a moment uncle."
"Okay, see you."
After thirty minutes or so, Gene arrived at one of the finest French restaurant in Tokyo. Sousuke instructed him to give his name to the waiter, and he will lead him to their table.
"Excuse me sir, do you have a reservation?" he asked in English, with an English accent.
It felt nostalgic "Yes, under Sousuke Yukimura, please" he answered on his perfect English accent too.
"This way, please."
He lead him to the secluded place of the restaurant so they can have their conversation without worries. A scarlet-haired man in his forties smiled at the sight of him, wearing a white suit, he stand up and greeted him. His wife, with a sandy-blond hair smiled at him too.
"Thank you for coming, Eugene." Sousuke held out his hand
"Thank you for inviting in the first place, Uncle Sou. And you can call me Gene." he stated and gave the man a firm hand shake.
"This is my wife, Ophelia." Gene smiled, and shake her hand.
"What a beautiful boy you are." She smiled "You can call me Aunt Lia."
The three of them took a sit. Then Sou went straight to the point.
"Are you dating my daughter in prelude to marriage?"
Gene, who was drinking glass water, coughed.
"Oh my heavens, are you alright?" Lia asked in panicked.
"Yes, I was just taken aback by Uncle Sou." he wiped his mouth with the table napkin
Sou laugh "You're face was amazing, if only I brought my camera" his wife smack him on the shoulder.
"Be serious." she scolded.
"Sorry" he mumbled, he turns serious "So?" he asked Gene.
"Yes" he was blushing. He and Akira didn't talk about it yet, but the older Davis twin knows she's the woman that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
Lia sighed and worriedly look at her husband "What my brother told you is true, Gene. A-chan don't want to inherit the company, she have her own dreams that she wanted to pursue."
"I know you grow up in a patriarchal country, I know that it is hard for you to drop the Davis name, and enter our family instead." Sou stated. "But I didn't say that you will totally cut your ties to BSPR, in fact, one of my investments is in BSPR."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Oh, so that stick-in-the-mud Takafumi didn't told you?"
Gene confusedly shook his head.
"I'm one of the BSPR's executive directors, when Martin decided to open a branch here in Japan I immediately sponsor it together with the other directors. And the equipment that you use is from one of my company in Germany. When Akira saw the brand of the camera that you've been using, she asked me about it. "
He widened his eyes, he... didn't expect that. He knows that Akira's family is wealthy, but not this wealthy "Seriously?"
Sou nodded, then his eyes glint with excitement "I'm a ghost fan. Even since when I was akid, I really wanted to see ghost, a headless nun, a bloody white lady, or the like. Then when I heard about BSPR, I immediately put an investment to it."
Lia groaned. Her husband can sometimes be childish, especially if it's about ghosts.
"That's why when Akira told us that she's dating a ghost hunter, I immediately gave her my approval." Sou smiled at him.
Gene chuckled, to be honest he was nervous on his way to the restaurant, he thought that Akira's parents were stricter than her uncle, but he was wrong. He let his self relax.
"Uncle Sou, Aunt Lia. I really love Akira, and if this will be my future from marrying her, then I will accept it."
The couple flashed a hopeful look. "Are you sure? Managing a multi-company is tiring."
"I know, but you will be there to guide me, right?" he smiled at them. Lia wanted to cry, she was happy that someone will go this far for her daughter.
"Of course, I will personally train and guide you. I will let you meet our investors, but that will in the future if the two of you are officially engaged. For now, I want the both of you take your time and talk about it."
"We will. Akira and I are taking it slow."
Their food came, with a bottle of champagne. The dinner is not dull, Sou asked Gene about their previous cases, he asked what kind of ghosts they encounter.
He even asked if the person's last dress she wear when she died, will it be also her dress when she appear as ghost?
It made Gene laugh.
