Mai went out for her schedule dinner with the Prime Minister, leaving the SPR alone in the palace with her brother. The SPR Teams were in the patio when they noticed that her personal assistants keep on whispering on each other.

"Miss Akira." Hannah called and curtsied before her "His Highness wanted to talk to you; he wanted to discuss something privately."

The young lady immediately stood up but Gene caught her hand "What's wrong?"

"Tell me what you discussed after, okay?" Akira nodded and smiled. Hannah led the way with Akira in tow.

"I wonder what they will be talking about." Bou-san wondered.

"I'm sure it's about Mai-chan." Yasu stated.

Ayako sighed "I honestly envy Mai, to live in every girls dream, living as a princess."

"Then what? Let your family chose whom you will marry?" Madoka scoffed "No thanks!" She was browsing Lin's laptop and all she can read in news is about the upcoming royal engagement.

"Well, that true." Ayako mumbled.

"I wonder why no one noticed about her real identity." Gene muttered "Especially Madoka, since you really like to research about the royal families."

"Well, I only worked with her once, so I didn't have the change to observe her closely."

"I noticed some of her sophisticated habits, noting that she's from a well-mannered family, but I didn't make a big deal out of it." Surprising everyone, it was Lin who spoke.

"Right, right, because you are still cautious around her." Bou-san chuckled.

"When I heard her fluently singing that lullaby in Swedish, I only thought that she's multilingual." Yasu informed. The team continued discussing on what they observed in Mai that they thought was strange or something unusual for her to do.

"Hey Noll, it's strange, you've been using the tablet that I bought for you. I thought you don't like it?" Gene said with a teasing smirk.

He rolled his eyes "Shut up, Gene." He continue to scroll down the page where the news of Mai's engagement was reported, reading the comments saying that they really look so good together, a real fairy tale couple, and the likes.

But Mai said that she loves me... Naru sadly thought.

Hannah knocked on Erik's door. "Your Highness, Miss Akira is already here." The door opened and Erik's personal footman bowed at the guest.

"Please come in, he's been expecting you." Akira gave him a small smile and entered inside, Hannah lead her to his office and there he was, reading a book.

"Your Highness." Akira curtsied.

Erik sighed "You don't need to be so formal with me, Akira. Anyway, take a seat first."

She complied with Hannah on her side, Erik opened his drawer and handed her the latest Night Vision HD video-camera.

Akira gasped "We will do this tonight?"

Erik nodded. "Yes."

She groaned "Mai will kill us if she will know about this."

"It's for her own good. Being involved with Mai means stepping on the spotlight, if he will chicken out because of this, then he don't deserves her." He seriously stated, and then he looked at Hannah "How was it?"

"Oh, we already prepared everything and our alibi." Hannah cheerfully stated.

"Good. Wait for her return, she will be back by ten." Both ladies nodded, they both stand to leave when Erik stopped her "And Akira, what about your brother?"

"All set!" She gave him a thumb up.

He gave her a nod and smile.

"So, what did you discussed about?" Akira jumped when she heard Gene's voice, fortunately that she don't have roommates, she hide the camera on her room. She was about to close the door and wait for Mai to arrive when Gene popped out.

"Oh, he only asked about Mai."

Gene raised his eyebrow "Really?"

Akira assuredly smile at him "Yes. You don't have to get jealous, Gene." She tiptoed and place a chaste kiss on the lips. "Come on, let's wait for Mai." She grabbed his hands and went to the patio to join the others. They were watching, amazed, at the aurora borealis in the sky when they heard a familiar engine entered the premises, it's Mai's Maserati. Her chauffeur opened the back seat and the team waited for her to come out.

"Mai!" Her head snapped at the voices and smiled when they saw them, him.

Before she can react, Ingrid, her personal secretary came rushing to her.

"Your Highness, there are files that His Majesty wanted you to read and asked about your opinion about it." She speaks in English so their guests can understand

Mai frowned; her father flooded her with works lately even though it's her birthday coming up soon.

"Can it wait?"

Ingrid shook her head "I'm sorry but it's urgent, Your Highness."

She sighed in exasperation, she looked at the SPR Team, "I'm so sorry guys, I will catch up with you later." She apologetically stated.

"We understand, Mai." Gene sadly smiled at her, and took a glance on his brother.

Mai and her secretary, Ingrid, continue their way inside.

It's eleven thirty in the evening when the boys' room heard a knock on their door. It was Yasuhara who opened it.

He grinned "Why, it's the lovely lady. Good evening, what can we do for you?" He greeted.

Hannah rolled her eyes "I'm here for Oliver Davis."

Naru, who finished changing into his sleepwear, came into view "Yes?" Hannah grabbed his hand and led him outside the room, and closing the door to Yasuhara's face.

"Her Highness sent a message for you. 'Tell Naru to meet me under the oak tree near the lake, at one in the morning where everyone is asleep.' She said."

Naru straightened and intensely look at her in the eyes "She did?" Hannah nodded.

"She was so busy with work and her –" She worriedly glanced at him "–her birthday party is a day away, she don't any other time to spend with you and explain everything."

"Alright. Tell her I'll be there."

Hannah gasped, then smiled. She curtsied before him and left, she reminded him not to tell anyone about their secret rendezvous. When Naru opened the door, Bou-san, Gene, and Yasuhara stumbled on the floor, they're eavesdropping.

"Ne Naru-bou, what was that all about?" Bou-san curiously asked.

"Nothing that concerns you." He answered dryly. He watched the clock that was hanging on the wall, its quarter to twelve. He still needs to wait for an hour.

"Don't be so stingy, Noll! What did Mai-chan said?" Gene pouted, poking his cheeks. Naru glared at him and he stopped on his teasing.

Naru climbed on his bed "I'm tired, let me sleep."

Yasuhara dramatically gasped "Did I hear that right? Oliver Davis admitted that he's tired?"

Gene snorted "It's the first time I've heard it from him."

Bou-san yawned "Well, I am tired too." He climbed on his bed "G'dnight."

Gene and Yasu followed him, Lin just came out from the bathroom, he softly smiled when he saw them already asleep.

Mai irritably glanced at the clock, it's already twelve thirty in the morning and she still has two files to read. She stood up from her chair and stretched her body. She heaved a sigh.

Why did father doing this to me? To keep me away from the team? She confusedly thought. And I thought Erik is on my side!

"Mai?" She turned around and saw Akira entered her office. She immediately threw her arms on her shoulders and vented her emotions – she cried. Akira patted her shoulders, hoping for her to calm down.

Akira glanced on the clock, her eyes slightly widened; it's almost one in the morning!

"Mai, I have a message from Naru." She directly informed, Mai immediately ceased from crying.

"What?"

"He told me to pass a message, 'Tell Mai to meet me under the oak tree near the lake, at one-fifteen in the morning.' he said."

Mai looked at the clock, then to Akira "Why?"

"He wanted to talk you; the two of you haven't had a proper conversation since you arrived."

"You're right." She took a deep breath and looked outside the window "I will meet him."

Akira smiled and helped her prepare, she chose her dress and coat, and it's been chilly outside.

Naru looked at his watch for the umpteenth time, he's been waiting for her for almost fifteen minutes.

She's going to show up, right? He worriedly thought. He sighed in relief when he saw a figure approaching, running, towards him.

"Mai, your –" His words were cut off when she immediately leaped to his body, sending them both on the grass.

"I miss you!" Mai cried, burying her head to his shoulders.

Naru softly smiled and patted her head and kissed her temple.

"Your late."

Mai rolled her eyes, she can feel that he's smirking.

"I'm on time jerk, you said one-fifteen."

Naru stopped patting her head, he slowly pushed her to see her face "What are you talking about? You're the one who said to meet me here by one."

Mai blinked few times and cocked her head to side "Akira said that you wanted to meet me here by one-fifteen."

"And one of your handmaids said the same to me."

They stare on each other for a moment then Mai chuckled "It seems that they set this up."

"Obviously."

Mai stood up from him and help him to stand. They saw a basket and two blankets under the tree, Naru opened the former and saw some food and two mini-thermos.

"What should we do now?" Mai asked.

"It's a waste if we will just throw it." Naru smirked and laid the blanket on the grass.

Mai smiled and joined him, she put down the foods and handed him one of the thermos.

"Naru, I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry for getting you involved in this mess! I promise I will do something about it." Mai buried her face on her hands and she sobbed.

"Don't cry, Mai." He cooed. He brought her to his chest. "I won't give you up, I meant what I said before, I love you."

"I love you too. I'm so sorry for lying."

"It's alright, I understand." Naru hugged her tighter.

I won't give up, I won't give you up. He thought sternly.

When she calmed down, they continue to talk how he has been since she left, and about his issue with Masako. In return, Mai told him what really had happened with her and Ren on their leaked photo.

When their eyes met along in those explanations, he leaned down and kissed her. Mai felt that she saw some fireworks; she cupped his face and responded to his kiss.

Naru never thought that kissing someone you loves will be so amazing, he thought that Gene was just exaggerating when he told him about his kissing experience.

He ran his hand to her hips and pulled her closer, Mai gasped and he took that opportunity to deepen the kiss. Mai ran her fingers thru his soft hair, he can't help but moan on how good it felt. He laid her down on the blanket without breaking the kiss, the tea spilled form the thermos when they knocked it down.

They were breathless when released each other's lips. He's still on top of her, looking at her eyes, caressing her face. Mai closed her eyes and leaned to his touches.

"I love you so much, Mai..." He whispered

"And I love you too, Naru." She responded with equal feelings. She covered her mouth and yawned.

Naru chuckled and rolled beside her, he used the other blanket to protect them from the cold. He pulled her closer to him, her back on his chest, and kissed her nape.

Mai giggled lazily "Stop that. It tickles, Naru."

"It seems that I found your weakness, Your Highness." He whispered and planted another kiss before he intertwined his hands with hers and fall asleep.
