Chapter Two-
When I woke, I didn't recognize my surroundings. Did Alice move me back to the Cullen household? I took a look around the room. It was a large suite with creamy white walls and plush carpet with a four poster bed covered in various shades of blue. Pillows, quilts, sheets. The window had navy blue sheer lace curtains and billowed along with the wind.
A knock at the door pulled me out of thought. "Miss, may I come in?"
"Yes?"
A woman about my age came in and gave me a small smile. She almost looked liked Alice. "I've laid out your outfit for the travel. Shall I start a bath for you?"
"Um, yes-s. Thank you." Where was I? The woman helped me into the tub and get washed. I felt embarrassed but it seemed like she does this all the time. "Where are we going, again...?" I asked quietly.
"Ms. Renee, I mean- Mrs. Swan and Mr. Hockley are finishing up a few things before we leave. We're heading for America on the Titanic. It's so glamorous." She went on about the Titanic but I couldn't listen. On the Titanic? What had happened? Alice had said something was going to occur and to wear the ring- which I was. But that doesn't mean I didn't know what the hell was going on.
The woman helped me into my dress. It was a gray dress-suit, assumed for the traveling to the Titanic. It was simple and elegant. My hat was another story. A beautiful black hat, with a lavender sash and a array of purple colored flowers.
"Miss, are you ready?" She picked up the rest of my bags and ushered me down the stairs. It was a beautiful staircase, it reminded me of the one at the Cullen household. The house was freshly painted and bare. There was a limited amount of staff running around, gathering our things to put them in the car.
"Isabella? Are you ready?"
"Oh... yes we are. Right, Grace?" Grace nodded at me and I looked back at Renee. She was stunning in a forest green velvet dress suit. She offered me a tight smile, which I grinned in return. I was thrilled to be on an adventure. Maybe I... time traveled as Emmett always put it, or maybe I was dreaming.
Renee put on a fake smile as the door opened. "Oh David, isn't Isabella just lovely this morning?"
"She looks stunning Ms. Renee, just like you." David chuckled softly.
"Are you glad to be moving to Philadelphia with David?" My mother questioned.
Time to play the game. "Yes, Mother. I will miss home though." I gave a look around the room. I didn't remember how it looked before, so really it didn't matter. I wished I could stay here in England. I may never get to see it with the way my life was going now.
David directed us outside towards the lawn. There was two cars being loaded with our belongings. The cars were beautiful. Rosalie would have love the cars, she had mentioned before how much she had missed the cars when she was human.
"It's beautiful, David. Are we bringing it with us?" Renee asked, motioning to the car.
"Yes," He said proudly. "It's a brand new model, it's a 1912 Renault Type CB Coupe De Ville. It's going to be our luxury car in Philadelphia, Isabella." He looked down at me with a smug smile.
I smiled back. He acted like I didn't know what the car was; I supposed ladies during this period didn't. "It's beautiful,David. Are we riding in it to the pier?"
He nodded and we all piled in. It really was great. It was a maroon red on the outside with gold trim, especially around the tires. The tires themselves were a gleaming white. The cab was covered by a black hood with large windows. The windows held a dark red curtain, similar to the color of the car. The inside was decorated in leather and velvet.
An elderly man drove us to the pier. David and Renee chatted mindlessly, I chimed in here and there but I didn't really care. I fiddled with the ring Alice gave me. I held my hands out, smiling at both the rings on my hands before Renee told me to slip my white gloves on.
We pulled up to the ship. Titanic was amazing. Beautiful, brand new and there was a confident air about the ship. It was sad to know that it would sink in a matter of days. If I was here on the Titanic, was I supposed to die? I certainly didn't plan on dying.
I rolled my eyes when I over heard David say that Titanic was unsinkable. God would sink this ship. Why? No one knew. I suppose it was supposed to be a lesson to the White Star Line, as well as developing all new safety rules.
I was happy enough, but my depression again threatened to surface. I sighed. I didn't want my personal problems to get in the way of this… dream.
David and Renee left me in my room to rest until dinner arrived. I practically ripped open a journal from one of the side tables and began scribbling down all my thoughts racing in my brain.. My hand could barely keep up with my mind.
I cannot believe I am on the Titanic. Am I supposed to fall in love with David? Or meet someone on Titanic? I really hope I wasn't sent here to die. If I died here, would I die in "real" life? Or is this my life now? Did I time travel? Is this my power? I hope David isn't abusive.
My last thought stunned me. Where did that come from? Was it because of the lingering fear from Edward? I assumed so.
