Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto-he is a sex toy for Sasuke and Gaara. I do not own the character rights…blahblahblah I do not make any money from this story; in fact I lose money writing since the time it takes could be more productive and spent earning money at work. –That's what I call dedication.

Please read and review-I'm always interested in hearing what people think! (No flames please) This is the first of a kind for me and I need assistance in the guiding the execution of it.

Blood of the Love

Chapter 4: Dance with Me.

Gaara watched the sky turn a soft pink outside, the sun would soon be up over the trees and the noise of the hustle and bustle of the day would soon start to float into the room. He knew he should be with his brother, helping him get ready for his wedding, getting ready for his family to expand.

He turned his gaze to the weight in his lap. Golden spikes fell gently across his thighs. He couldn't bring himself to leave. About an hour after Gaara had laid him down, Naruto began fretting in his sleep, tossing and turning, whimpering and whispering 'Sasuke' in his sleep. Gaara took advantage of being released and sat up. Eventually, Naruto's head found Gaara's lap and he calmed down. Awkwardly, the red head spent the rest of the night stroking the golden locks, channeling a little of his and Shukaku's chakra into his palms. Minutes later, Naruto calmed, but he didn't stop comforting his grieving friend, it was slowly feeling more natural.

Naruto whimpered and stretched. He clapped his lips together and yawned, he nuzzled his makeshift pillow and rolled over giving Gaara full view of his face. The whisker like scars from his bijou had faded since they were kids, but they were still present. Light blond whiskers peppered his cheeks from a few days without a shave. His skin was naturally tanned and smooth as silk. He lost his baby chub; he now had the hard, and handsome, features of a man. A soft puff of air escaped his raspberry lips; it sent chills up the red heads spine.

'What is this feeling' he mused, taking his eyes from the angelic face of his friend to look outside. The sky was now sparking blue; the time was coming for him to leave to join his brother. He knows he should wake Naruto, Kankuro was marrying a ninja from his village after all, and however he couldn't bring himself to do it.

Fortunately, he didn't have to debate internally any longer. Blond eyelashes fluttered opened showing lovely cerulean orbs.

The young Hokage felt warm, and safe, more than he had felt since that night with Sasuke when they joined their bodies and their hearts. He didn't want to get up, didn't want to leave the feeling. He needed to get up, he was sure it was getting late in the day. Slowly, he opened his eyes taking in the day.

A nice view of…crotch?! "Woah!" crash. Naruto's ninja training went out the window as he fell to the floor. He quickly got to his knees and placed his elbows on the bed, "Neh, Gaara, what are you doing here?" he flashed a smile and scratched the back of his head.

"You do not remember last night?" Gaara asked.

"Well, yeah." Images of the night before flashed before his eyes, "I just thought you would have left by now"

"I was about to, but then you commandeered by lap" A slight lilt was in his voice indicated joking.

"About that, sorry" Naruto chuckled to himself and blushed.

"We need to get ready for the wedding, I will see you there," with that he dissolved into sand and left under the door.

Sai and Kakashi stood in the center of a large garden at an arch decorated in fragrant flowers. He held a single red rose in hand, contrasting the black of his kimono. There were a few chairs set up in rows in the garden, in them were the closest family and friends of the soon to be newlyweds. Hinata sat with Hitomi sleeping in her lap, Temari sat with them and Iruka. Yamato sat quietly waiting for the ceremony. Ino sat with Shikamaru, Tenten and Shino sat with their fingers laced. To Shino's left sat Kiba and his companion puppy. Sakura sat with Gai and Lee, who had his wheel chair in place of a folding chair.

Sai had his fake smile plastered on his face when Naruto arrived in his Hokage robes and took his place next to him at the altar. The scent of the lavender, cherry blossoms and roses wafted through the air on the slight breeze. A string quartet played light and romantic classical music, feeling the air with the feeling of love, relaxing the Hokage who wanted to break down.

The doors open in the back revealing Gaara in his Kazekage robes. His green eyes held a flicker of happiness for his brother. His eyes linked with Naruto as he made his way through the seats to the alter to stand as his brothers witness.

The rice paper doors slid open once more revealing a sight that made Sai's breath catch in his throat.

Kankuro stood clad in the same black kimono as his soon to be husband. His chestnut hair hung loosely without its normal hood to cover it, the locks managed to frame his sharp features and his eyes sparkling with happiness and his skin glowing with joy, his eyes never leaving his artistic lover.

A soft breeze blew in the garden, rustling the cherry blossoms, adding to the melody the strings of the quartet were making, a few petals blew loose and fluttered around Kankuro on his way to his lover, in a way that could be termed planned or cliché, but that didn't matter to the present group. To him it was magic and only served to amplify the beauty of the moment, Kankuro walking toward him, with a smile on his face carrying a crimson rose. Sai's heart was near busting with happiness.

When Kankuro finally arrived at the arch he grabbed Sai's one hand. He placed the rose he had carried in the delicate fold of the artist's dark kimono, and then waited patiently as Sai did the same to him. They clasped hands and turned to look at Kakashi, who was all smiles under his mask, remembering his wedding day to Iruka.

"Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today…"

'I love you' Sai mouthed to his soon to be husband tuning out Kakashi.

'I love you' Kankuro mouthed back and turned his head back to the officiant.

"But that is enough about our days starting a revamped team Kakashi; this is about who Sai and Kankuro are today and how they are committing their lives together for eternity. In light of the fact, the pair has elected to write their own vows. Kankuro," Kakashi looked at the young man he helped Sakura save, giving a nod signaling it was time for him to speak.

"Sai, my artistic doll, war is at its best is terrible. We never knew if we were going to make it back alive, or if our lovers would come home to us. Through the destruction we managed to find love and acceptance, safety in each others arms. When we started this, it was just a release from the stress, then we slowly started to talk and open to one another and I saw the real you behind the mask. I saw you at your most vulnerable, you held me at mine. When I lost Kukiko, at the start of the war, I thought I would never love again. Then you came along, and you listened and opened your heart to me, gave me a reason to wake up, the light at the end of the dark tunnel. You are my present and my future."

Kakashi cleared his throat, "Sai"

Gaara gazed at Naruto from under the brim of his hat. He could see the beautiful blue eyes swimming in tears. The words of Kankuro really hit him hard. When he mentioned the loss of his fiancée, Gaara saw Naruto bite his lip to prevent a sob from escaping his lips.

"Kankuro, my puppet master, and my guide through the path of life. As you said, war is hell, and every day I thank the kamis for leading us together that night. We were trapped in a cave, alone, during a snow storm. Unable to light a fire, we cuddled together in a tent we pitched for warmth. That night, we relieved our stress and found solace in one another. Slowly, but surely I found myself seeking you out, searching for you in a crowd. You can match me on all levels, you have taught me to love and how to be who I am. For now until the end of our lives, I am yours."

A tear slid down Naruto's cheek as Sai finished and turned to Kakashi, indicating he was finished.

The Silver haired Jonin continued. "Take the rings, please" Gaara and Naruto handed Kankuro and Sai the rings they had been holding for them, "Sai, repeat after me please. Two flames, one light"

"Two flames, one light"

"Kankuro, I offer you this ring as a sign of life, and myself as your husband."

"Kankuro, I offer you this ring as a sign of life, and myself as your husband."

"Let us walk together always, and let us always walk towards the light, guided by the Will of Fire"

"Let us walk together always, and let us always walk towards the light, guided by the Will of Fire" Sai slid the solid yellow gold band onto the larger man's finger.

"Kankuro, now you, repeat after me please. Two flames, one light" Kakashi recited.

"Two flames, one light"

"Sai, I offer you this ring as a sign of life, and myself as your husband."

"Sai, I offer you this ring as a sign of life, and myself as your husband."

"Let us walk together always, and let us always walk towards the light, guided by the Will of Fire"

"Let us walk together always, and let us always walk towards the light, guided by the Will of Fire" Kankuro slid the solid yellow gold band onto the artists finger. Sai gave a small, true smirk, the first time many had ever seen it.

Kakashi stepped back, revealing a small table with a bowl and bottle on it. He indicated for the pair to join him with a nod of his head.

"The sake ceremony is meant to represent many things. Both will pour sake into the bowl. The sake representing their individual life, their past, the sake poured into the bowl shows how they are no longer two people but a unit, forsaking their individual identity for one another. Each will hold the bowl for the other to drink from before drinking themselves. This represents how Kankuro and Sai shall take care of one another by putting their husband's needs before their own." Kakashi explained the meaning of the ceremony as Sai poured a small amount of sake from the bottle into the bowl before handing it to Kankuro to add some to the bowl as well. Clasping his hands around the bowl, Sai brought it to his husband's lips for him to drink then took a drink from the dish himself. He handed the bowl to Kankuro. The larger ninja held the bowl to Sai's lips for him to drink before he took a drink himself then placing the bowl back on the table.

The pair clasped hands as they, and the officiant, moved back to their original positions.

"With the completion of the sake ceremony, I now pronounce you married. You may now kiss your husband" Kakashi wagged his eyebrows at the pair. "Make it good" all laughed at his comment.

Sai leaned in and closed his eyes. Kankuro got a devilish grin on his face, quick as a flash he grabbed Sai around the head and waist, pulling him close. His lips devoured his lover, fingers thread through ink black locks. Sai blushed a soft pink, and then returned the kiss with equal fever. This was why he loved the man, he was full of passion and vitality.

"Behold, the power of YOUTH!" Lee screamed from the crowd making all chuckle and the pair to break apart.

"It gives me great pleasure to introduce to you, Sabaku no Kankuro and Sai!" The pair thread their fingers together as they walked down the aisle to cheers from friends and family. Sai had decided to take Kankuro's family name, as he did not have one of his own. Now, he found a place to call his home.

After everyone had exited the garden, in favor of food, the chairs and arch were removed from the garden. Once everyone returned from dinner the small party would reconvene in the garden. Candles hung from the sakura trees and lit the path ways on the ground and hung from hooks around the space, bathing it in a soft glow. The string quartet was still in place with a DJ setting up behind them, ready to take over after the first dance. The newlyweds would not be there for long before they left, however the party would continue on into the night.

The first to return were the Hokage and Kazekage, they escorted Tsunade. Soon, each of the remaining Konoha 11 and Temari and their partners arrived.

The DJ announced the new couple and slowly the party music faded into the background. They didn't dance in or link arms, instead they held hands, Kankuro rubbed the back of his head with the other one. They took their spot at the center of the clearing; the quartet began playing a slow and sweet melody. As was a growing custom, the newlyweds embraced one another and began moving to the music. They did not spin in circles, or even move their feet, they stayed stationary, holding each other close and swaying in time with their foreheads touching and eyes closed. Like this, they were locked in their own world where they didn't have to worry about the war, or rebuilding from the destruction, here it was just them.

Naruto looked on, he had never thought about marrying Sasuke. He often figured he would have to share him with a wife so he could have continued on his clan. But watching the men dance together, so lost in one another, he longed for the arms of the Uchiha. He was happy for his friends, he never thought that Sai would find someone, least of all Kankuro, but here they were and they found love.

Gaara watched his brother, content with his happiness, grateful he found someone to love. The first time he met Sai that they would be brother-in-laws. But, somehow he complemented Kankuro's strength with his own. Their artistic styles meshed together well.

The small giggle from Hitomi drew Naruto's attention. He then looked at Hinata, who was sitting at the table with him and Gaara. The fox jinchūriki offered Hinata a dance. Gaara held Hitomi while they took their turn on the dance floor. They smiled and joked at first, but then Hinata put her head on his shoulder. The moment of joy was stolen as they each missed the one they loved. Gaara read his lips, "does it ever get easier" he saw her reply "yes".

When the song was over, they moved back to the table and Hinata pulled her daughter back into her lap. He glanced over at Naruto, the look of longing on his face tore at Gaara's heart. He took another glance at Kankuro and Sai, what they were doing didn't look that hard. The Kazekage stood and took a step in front of his friend and cleared his throat.

"Naruto" he cleared his throat, unsure how to precede, but the moment the blue eyes turned to look at him, his resolve steeled. "Would you like to...dance…. with me" he extended his hand.

"Sure" the smile the Hokage flashed was bright enough to melt even the iciest of hearts. He grabbed Gaara's hand and let himself be lead onto the dance floor near the couple. The benefit of the wedding only being close friends was there they did not have to hold the pretenses of their offices; they could just be Naruto and Gaara.

Their hands linked, Gaara wrapped his free arm around the Hokage's waist, while Naruto placed his hand on his shoulder. The Kazekage guided them in a small, slow circle, in time with the music. He occasionally stepped on Naruto's toes and grew frustrated, but whenever he did he was rewarded with a fun loving smile and a chuckle.

As the speed of the music increased, Gaara grew uncertain as to how to move. Naruto took the lead and broke into the monkey with a genuine smile on his face. He taught Gaara how to do the water sprinkler and the shopping cart, and no wedding would be complete without the funky chicken.

The Konoha group with the sand siblings, danced on into the night, welcoming the distraction from the rebuild and their loses.

A/N: I hope everyone liked the new chapter. This past year and a half has been so crazy. I have lived in 5 different states, switched careers (teaching to navy) and I now have 3 foster sons and I'm saving for adoption (which is 45k through some agencies!) My adoption councilor has recommended a go fund me account, but I'm not really sure if I'm for that. So if anyone has any ideas as to how I can save that much, please let me know!

Sorry for ranting… So I did decide to do a slightly happier chapter. Truthfully, I'm not sure where to go from here. I started this story with no direction, I wrote the part of Naruto in his bathroom begging to bleed and Gaara making himself bleed for him. I fell in love with it and had to create a story around it…. Now I'm not sure what to do

If anyone wants to read a Sai/Kankuro fanfic, I wrote one of my own you can check out in my profile.
