Gunslinger Girl Shadows of war Ch. 17: Poisoned Pasta

Looking up from her bed seeing the strobe effect of the light causing her to have trouble focusing angelica looked around and called out
"Perro where are you I really want my perro" and Richard walked in with a couple of movies and the pasta story and he slung the chair over saying
"Heard Cara angela calling for me so I am here and I brought quite a few things for us or until you fall asleep which ever happens first" as he put in the movie spirit stallion of the Cimarron and as it started to play she asked him
"Who am I and I wonder if the ponies would ever be able to be around here" and she smiled as Richard thought for a second and she assumed that he was planning on getting a horse on the compound which she wasn't wrong but he wasn't going to tell her he could because then she would badger him to no end about wanting a pony. As rico walked in she saw Spirit buck the strange long haired two legged in the uniforms as it had been from the horse's point of view Richard looked at Rico and said
"Thank you I have to check on something and will be back soon" and he walked away as Angelica asked her a question as they were eating the popcorn rooting for Spirit and singing along with the songs like as Jean put it
"Like a couple of fucking five year olds" and the girls just gave him a middle finger and he got a cowboy boot to the face as Richard rode up on a horse that he had out on the grounds and yelled "Shadowmere!" and the girls laughed as he flew in through the window and got a crunch as his boots slammed into Jeans face almost covering the room in blood. As Angelica saw the horse she asked Richard
"Is that horse for me and if so what is its name? and it was a dark stallion and he said
"Shadowmere is what I call her but her name is sunshine and I think she likes you" as she nuzzled against angelica who laughed and said
"cavallo is all mine?" and to prove the point the horse walked over and pissed all over Jeans unconscious form and they all laughed. Sitting there they left leaving Richard and Angelica and he started to hum "caballo diablo" and as she started to fall asleep she asked quietly
"pasta story?" and he read it with the sounds of Chris leduox in the background he found out she was asleep so as he snuck out he gave her a light kiss on the forehead and walked out of the room and she hummed pasta and started a nightmare and Richard had held her hand but she squeezed her hand knowing he had to leave.
As her nightmare hit her she remembered Richard's words of good night princess she looked down at herself and saw that she was dressed like the pasta princess and she heard Richards booming voice
"Princess I'm glad you are awake because we all were worried about you and had the doctors waiting for you but fortunately you don't need it" and they saw Chris and the group wearing military clothes or dresses and she saw the red sash on Chris' waist and she asked
"Commander how is the kingdom and do we have any immediate actions we need to attend to?" and Chris wearing a black tunic similar to that of a 18th century solider and a sword stated
"None princess we have the kingdom all secure and the queen has something she would like to tell you" and triela walked in with a body guard composed of etta rico and claes. Looking at her dear friend she said
"We think you should get married or at least have someone else close to you" and they all looked at Richard and said
"Think we found the man for you who is a rebel without a cause and an empire under his sword" and as they turned around they heard a door shatter and as they moved Angel as they called her out of the way Chris and Richard turned around and started to fight to cover the escape of the royals they heard Chris call out to Richard
"Live fast die young dear brother" and Richard was stabbed and had his throat slashed deep enough his head almost rolled away and as Angelica screamed Chris said
"Its game time you son of a bitch" and rammed his sword into the stomach of his attacker and kept fighting until he was overpowered and beaten to death. As she started to wake up she sighed and said
"Thank god it was just a dream" and she heard in the background of the room "I thought I taw a puddy tat I did I did see a puddy tat" and she looked around and saw that Looney tunes was on and she grabbed a juice and laughed saying
"I like this show and I wonder why the hell the boys aren't back yet" and she saw Richard walk in with alex and Danny dragging him in after a snake bite and he had cut himself shaving and Angelica went white as she saw the blood and Richard saw her look of fear and said
"Cut myself shaving and it looks worse than it really is" and he saw the relief in her eyes slide back to fear as Chris was brought in with bloodied bandages and he said
"Training got a little rough but I will be fine don't you worry" and he sat down in the chair and said
"Sitting down is nice after a day of being on my feet and even my back" and Elsa laughed as she said
"I know I saw it and don't worry I kicked the shit out of Jean for you" and they all had a laugh at that regard as they all wanted to see Jean get his ass kicked some days and that was one of them as he had failed most of the team on a test they were not there for and they all had a reason to hate him and Trice smiled and said
"I've been up for three days straight so I'm going to get some sleep before I kill someone" and she rubbed Angelica's hair before her own eyes then walked off to her bedroom and they started to tease Danny shit about going to take a nap with her and he laughed and said
"No I got to sleep on the plane ride home but damn those 130s are uncomfortable as shit" and he laughed as he had just done an exchange tour with the Delta force not knowing those friendships would come in handy later. AS Trice slid her shirt off she flopped down on her bed and feeling the cool lien smiled and mumbled
"thank god and where I come from to old boys fighting in the parking lot ain't nobody going to call the cops" and she listened to country music until she fell asleep and her mind went to her training tour with the GSG9s explosives engineers and she was running with a full pack and had just dropped down to a knee for a meal of pasta packaged with a thick sauce and what passed for meatballs in an MRE when she heard a muffled thud. Looking up to the squad CO she asked
"What is that and will that have any effect on our reaching the LZ in time?" and righty as he started to open his mouth the thud she heard got a lot closer and a ball of fire engulfed them nearly killing the CO instantly and the explosives she was carrying started to cook off and she through it off yelling
"God damn it what the fuck?!" and getting on the radio she yelled
"We have unknown number of casualties we need immediate medivac NOW" as a bullet tore into her body armor and she started firing back with an M240 and then a MG4 to cover the retreat of her comrades and she stopped as she heard the roar of a M164 accompanied by the whoop of a Blackhawk and then the medivacs so she woke up in a cold sweat terrified.
As the boys decided to go out for a few drinks Jake and Danny started to sip on a beer a piece and they decided a little day dreaming was in order as they had just realized they had to go to hillshires class and they laid their heads down on the desk and that is when the nightmare started for them
"Damn I thought this wouldn't happen yet to me" they mumbled as the world change to them back in the jungle war kit that they had worn as they had been in elite groups dealing with jungle fighters and rough worlds outlaws that they had been brought on as mercenaries hunting them down they had met up with a Japanese unit and asked
"anyone have any food because we hadn't eaten since we dropped into this hellhole yesterday morning" and as they were starting to open up a can of ramen they felt crosshairs on their necks and they started to lean forward the rounds rang out with the crack being heard they all dropped as the unit started to either lay down to avoid the barrage of fire or they turned on their comrades and slashed throats or shot their comrades with the malicious hatred that no one could have witnessed before. As the boys had looked up to the sky and Jake had his face stomped in and Danny was drug off to the woods and as the boys came to they saw the metal boxes nearby and they laughed and Danny smiled saying
"What are you going to do give me a fucking manicure?" as they held up a set of pliers and as they ripped his nails out and did the same to Jake and asked what they were doing in the country and the boys said in unison
"Oh you know just came here to fuck your bitches and drink beer but we are all out of beer" and they just tried to outlast tortures that included burning and limbs were broken and badly mangled limbs and as they were drug off to a pit where they would be tossed in and shot rifles barked and they saw the men holding them drop and they fell on rocks and screaming in pain as they got bit by a snake they saw the chopper and they were loaded up and laughed in delirium
"We believe we can fly" and they started to come around with Jean yelling at them for singing and they saw the chance and slammed inti him before walking to the café laughing
