Hello everybody...who actually reads this story...cough cough...well here's chapter 9. I had to look up the title of every episode to help me out a little because I forgot a lot about the show. Funny how all it took was the titles of the episodes to help...Oh well. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own Young Justice or D' grayman...if I did I would make all of the characters dance.

~Chapter~

"Run!" The teens were running this way and that trying to avoid bullets as best they can. How did they get to this point, well it all started when they had finally arrived at the factory. The factory was already in an uproar, workers and cultist members were rampant and wary. It had looked like something had already transpired before they had even got there.

Flashback~

"What's going on," Kid whispered as he and the others were hiding behind bushes and in trees. They all watched as people were flourishing from inside of the factory.

"Something must have obviously happened. I don't see any sign that we were found though," Raider said as he crouched further down behind the bushes. Suddenly an alarm started to go off right after. Robin gave him a deadpanned look.

"You just had to say something didn't you. You totally jinxed us" The auburn haired teen frowned.

"I didn't jinx anything alright, and it's not like we've been spotted. It could have been someone else who was."

"I think we should keep moving. Gaining information on the factory is our top priority right now," Aqualad said as he kept his gaze on the cultists. The others nodded.

"I hear someone talking...they're panicking too," Superboy said. Raider looked at him in question.

"What are they saying exactly." Superboy listened closely.

"Something about vials needing to be shipped out and Cobra being..." Superboy paused in his words and his eyes got wide.

"What? What did they say," Kid said anxiously.

"They said that he's dead." Everyone gasped in shock. Cobra was dead?

"What do you mean he's dead? Who killed him," Robin whispered. Who could have the guts to kill Cobra?

"The only thing I heard was that some new guy that showed up killed him. That's it." There was silence. Aqualad sighed. This mission was getting dangerous. Really dangerous.

"What do we do now," Miss Martian whispered as she looked at the others.

Tori clenched her fist. Someone was killed and she had a good idea who it was. She wanted to be sure though. "I suggest we go in there and find out what has transpired. We now know that this mission has become quite more than what we were told," Aqualad said.

"So, what do we do now? Knowing that someone knows we're here, shouldn't we just continue with the mission," Tori said in a serious tone.

"I think that would be wise. We need to leave as soon as possible without drawing further attention to ourselves," Aqualad said as he and the others moved closer to the factory.

As the teen heroes made their made their way closer to the factory, they were still a bit wary as to why the leader was killed. The cultists wouldn't do such a thing, they worshiped the guy as if he was a real God. They were out of the question, so who really did it then.

When they were at the entrance of the factory, they saw several guards and a giant mutant monster thing standing guard. This new guy really didn't want them getting in without so much as a beating.

"On my signal we advance," Aqualad said as he looked back to the others. They nodded.

"1...2...3." The teens jumped from their spots and attacked.

Those who were standing guard were caught off guard when the teens attacked. Yet, to the teens, they were outnumbered. Guard after guard, more men showed up to stop the so called intruders.

"Oh great, we're surrounded," Kid said as he dodged a gun shot. The others were doing the same as they tried to fight back against the cultists.

"Where are they coming from," Raider asked as he shot blast after blast at the men rendering them unconscious. His shadow clone (like the one from Mortal Kombat) and him were back to back trying to maintain some type of defense. Robin was near him trying to do the same thing, but it didn't seem to be working that much.

"We need to fall back now! Kid clear a path for us," Aqualad ordered as he was in the middle of trying to pry the enemy away from him. He kicked the cultist in the stomach sending him backwards into a tree.

"Already on it." Kid sped forward knocking the guards aside. The others followed right behind him still trying to evade as many bullets as they could.

Flashback over~

After everything that had happened the young heroes had still found no way into the factory. A plan needed to be made immediately or else the mission would be a failure. The teens were currently hiding out trying to come up with some way to get in and getting out. Robin, being who he is, was so frustrated about not doing as good as he thought for a leader. Others were quick to deny his claim, including Raider, who for once also felt ashamed. Aqualad comforted them and told them that even if they had tons more experience than the others they still needed to show communication with the others. They couldn't just vanish with a trace. It wasn't cool, according to Kid.

"You know Aqualad, I think you should be leader," Raider blurted out trying to numb the silence that had been going. The latter looked at the auburn haired teen in surprise.

"Me? I do not think I am fit for being leader." Robin stopped him from speaking further.

"I agree with Raider on this one. You were quick to think up a plan to get us out of that situation earlier. I would have done the same... but you did so, yeah." The blond haired male was slightly in shock at his words.

"Hello Megan, it's so obvious."

"I could've told ya," Superboy nodded his head.

"I had always thought that you would make a good leader since the beginning," Tori stated like it was a known fact while giving the young atlantian a smile.

"Hey wait a minute! I can run circles..." Tori grabbed Kids hand, he turned to look at her. She was giving him a blank stare with a hint of something else. She was basically telling him to comply with what everyone else was saying with her eyes. He was about to get lost in her stare but shook himself out of it.

"You know he's more fit for the job," Tori said as she tightened her hold on his hand. He gave her a look then sighed. He knew she was right.

"Alright, I agree," Kid said dejectedly as he held on to Tori's hand. She smiled as he looked at her with a smile of his own, which did not go unnoticed by Robin who smirked.

"So 'leader' what's the plan," Raider said as he put a hand on his hip. He wanted to get through this mission immediately, he was already tired.

"We must first find a way inside," Aqualad looked at Tori and Kid, "Do you both think you can make a distraction?" The two looked at him and smirked.

"Of course we can." "I don't mind." The two spoke at the same time then stopped, they both chuckled.

Aqualad smiled at the two then turned to the others. "Robin, Raider give us some cover while myself, Superboy, and Miss Martian break in through the front of the factory." The two nodded and gave each other a fist bump. Now this was more like it.

"Miss Martian link us up when I give you the signal. We need to keep in touch if we are to separate." The red headed girl nodded her head in understanding.

Aqualad looked to everyone with a serious face, the face of a leader. " Are we all clear on what to do?"

Everyone responded with 'yeahs', 'yeps', and a 'yes'. " Then let us be off then." Aqualad walked out first with Miss Martian and Superboy in tow. The two 'bats' vanished from sight as soon as the three left. Tori and Kid were the last to leave.

(A/N Okay so I need to move this story along so I skipped over what happened at the factory)

To say that the plan was a success was an understatement. The factory had ended up blowing into pieces, the mysterious leader who had taken over had apparently gotten away, and the team had found out who most of the many buyers were, that included Sportsmaster. The plan was somewhat of a wreck in the middle but it ended well...well mostly.

When the team had gotten back to the cave, the were met with two glares. One coming from Batman and the other coming from Crow. They did not look to happy. The team, except for certain ones, gulped in fear of what was to come.

Everyone was standing side by side one another in a line with the two league members staring them down. This wasn't going to end well.

"A simple covert mission, ruined. Go in and come back out with evidence, it sounds simple enough. What I would like to know is what you all were thinking," Crow asked seriously as she glared at the team, mostly her son. Raider flinched in fear but was desperately trying to hide it. Robin smirked when he saw his friend flinch.

"If I may, Crow, we did not intend to further the mission." Crow turned her piercing gaze towards the blond haired teen. He paled a little at her gaze.

"If you did not intend to then why were you gone so long? What else was there to find?" No one spoke.

"Um...Wasn't it you that suggested that we look further into something? You had told us earlier to look deeper into this if we saw fit to do so," Tori said with confidence in her voice, her body language said other wise. She was shaking which has never happened to her before.

Crow was silent. The girl sure had some guts in her if she thought she could talk to her like that. Her son didn't have the guts like he did on July 4th to talk to her like that. This Tori was something else.

"I guess I did say that," Batman looked at her grimly, "-but that does not account for the destruction of a now known crime scene." The team looked down in shame, except for some.

Batman now had his turn to talk, "You will each receive a detailed list of your failures and things that need to be improved, but for now...good work." The teens picked up there heads in shock.

"Wait..you mean we aren't total failures after all," Raider asked in shock. Crow walked closer to the team and smiled. It was a genuine smile that shocked those who had never seen it before.

"I have to admit, I was a little upset that the mission kind of blew up in your faces like that, but I am also proud. I expect to see you all tomorrow prepared for some real training," Crow said as she walked towards the zeta. The computer said its recognition of her as she was transported away.

The team turned their attention back onto Batman who was still standing in front of them. He was shaking his head slightly. His sister was absolutely too much. Raider and Robin looked at him and smirked. They knew why he was shaking his head and couldn't agree more. That was woman was something else entirely.

"Sooooo..." Kid tried to break the silence that was going. He wanted someone to say something or else he would die of boredom..and silence.

"As Crow has said before, I expect to hear that you all arrive at your training tomorrow. We wouldn't want any problems." Batman gave everyone a small glare and started towards the zeta. He looked over his shoulder at Robin and Raider. They told the others goodbye and picked up their pace to catch up with their mentor. The three were gone in a matter of seconds after the computer had announced that they were leaving.

The remaining five stood in silence, that is until Kid opened his big mouth. "Well that was kind of anti-climatic. I really thought Crow and Batman were going to chew us up and spit us out."

"Wally don't say that. You heard what they said, in the end we did good." Tori cocked her head to the side and smiled at the red head, who in return frowned with a tiny blush on his face.

"I-I know that." Tori, Aqualad, and Miss Martian chuckled at his sour expression. Superboy only stared in slight amusement.

"I think it is time that I depart. I will see all of you tomorrow." Aqualad waved to the four and made his departure through the zeta.

"I have to go too. My guardian is going to get worried if I'm not home too soon," Tori said as she turned to the others. Dinah would also want to know what happened on her first mission as well.

"That's okay! We'll see you tomorrow Lena," M'gann said with a smile. She flew over to the violet eyed girl and gave her a crushing hug. Lenalee choked a little as the martian squeezed her.

"Um M'gann..you're squishing me." M'gann immediately stopped hugging her and flushed in embarrassment.

"Oh I'm really sorry! I didn't mean too..." Lenalee stopped the other girl from her apologetic behavior.

"That's okay. I'm used to that actually," Lenalee said with a hint of sadness in her voice. It didn't go unnoticed by Wally who furrowed his brow in confusion. Her sadness immediately went away and she smiled.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow." Lenalee started towards the zeta, but was stopped by Wally who had grabbed her arm. She looked back at him in confusion. She looked behind him and saw that M'gann and Superboy were already walking towards their rooms.

"Wally, is everything okay?" Wally scoffed slightly at her words. She was one to talk. He moved his hand from her arm to her hand and held it in his. She blushed at the contact.

"You're one to talk. You looked sad just now and I want to know why." Wally tightened his glove covered hands around Lenalee's hand. He was blushing too because of how bold he was being. Normally he would of cheered at the fact that he was flirting with a pretty girl, or even holding a hand...now-it seems like he was being as nervous and fidgety as ever.

Lenalee looked at the red head in shock and sadness. He had caught the look she had on her face earlier. If it was anyone else, they would've ignored it, so why does he sound so concerned about her. It wasn't making any sense. She had gone on a date with him as a way to experience what being a normal teenager was like. He had flirted with her, told some pretty corny jokes, bought her dinner, played games with her, but in the end it did nothing for her. Now it seems like she just can't get Wally out of her head. The dark-haired girl gasped in shock.

Does she like him?

Did she actually have feelings for him?

Lenalee blushed at her thoughts. There was just no way she could be. It was too early for something like this to happen. She needed to focus more on trying to live here and also trying to find a way home...but she couldn't ignore something like this. Liking someone was practically a big deal, bigger than she thought it would be. She completely forgot at that moment that Wally and her were still holding hands. They were also getting dangerously close to each other. Warm breath puffing on each others face as they drew closer and closer. There lips were about an inch apart from one another.

"Wally...," Lenalee said in a whisper as she tried to maintain her composure. She wasn't supposed to be getting close to him like this...she wasn't supposed to, but...this moment seemed right somehow.

Wally tried to control his urges to kiss her, but she seemed so vulnerable when she looked so sad. His male instincts to comfort a female had kicked in almost to the point that he would have just kissed her in front of the others. He had managed to control himself enough to wait until the others were gone. This girl, that he had actually managed to fall for, was a drug to him. He couldn't concentrate when he needed to, his mind was always on her. This very moment, was something that he had wanted for so long. The fact of the matter is that he was micro seconds away from kissing her lips.

Wally pulled Lenalee flush against his chest which caused her to squeak in surprise. He chuckled. Her hands were on his covered chest. He shivered at the feeling. He could not take it anymore. Second date or not, he was going to ask today, at this very moment. The red head lifted the girls chin up making her look straight up at him. He saw the adorable blush on her face that made her look even more beautiful than she was. He smiled with a blush of his own on his freckled face.

"Lenalee...can I ask you something," Wally whispered causing the girl to shiver, and not in the bad way. She could feel his breath hit her face when he spoke.

"Yes..." Lenalee stared up at the red head as she also tried to restrain herself. She didn't care about her anymore-she didn't care were this moment was going to take them, all she cared about was what he about to ask her.

Wally gulped nervously. This question was going to decide it all. She was either going to reject him or except him. He continued.

"I was going to ask if you wanted to...wanted to...Awww screw it." Wally crashed his lips onto Lenalee's. He didn't care anymore either. His mental mentality for controlling his urge was gone. He put his hand at the back of her neck trying to get as much of this kiss as he could.

Lenalee was surprised at first but slowly eased into the kiss. She kissed him back with as much gusto as she could muster. She had never kissed anyone before, but that didn't mean that she couldn't learn while she could. She moved her hands from Wally's chest and put her arms around his neck. He had one hand at the back of her neck and one around her waist. Their mouths nibbled at the others exploring and trying to get as much out of this lip contact as they could. It was a new experience for the both of them and it only going to get more interesting as they progressed.

When the two had finally broken apart to catch their breath, they leaned their foreheads against each others. They were both smiling.

"Well..." Wally looked into Lenalee's eyes as she looked at his. There was no longer a blush on either of their faces. Any type of embarrassment was gone.

"You do know what this means right," Lenalee said as she lifted her hand to touch his cheek. He grabbed is and held it close to his face. He smiled.

"Yeah, I do...Are you okay with this...babe," Wally said as he moved to give Lenalee a peck on her cheek. She flushed at the contact from his now moist lips. She smiled back.

"I am if you are, besides...I've never felt this way about anyone before." Lenalee moved to give the red head a peck on his cheek. She smirked when she saw him flush. The two separated but didn't let go of the others hand. Their hands were intertwined with one another.

"We're going to have to tell are parents..well my parents your guardian." Wally was a little confused about the guardian thing but settled for asking about it later. He was okay with just getting to know about her.

"We'll get to that, but for right now-," Lenalee moved to give Wally another kiss, "-we should focus on telling the team first. They would want to know considering that everyone was hinting for us to get together." Wally looked flabbergasted at the new piece of information.

"You mean to tell me that everyone, including Superboy, were rooting for us to get together!" Lenalee nodded her head with a chuckle. His reaction was cute. She tightened her hold on his hand causing him to look at her. He moved over to her without breaking contact with her hand. He cupped her cheek and kissed her again. Third times a charm as they say.

In Gotham

"Dude, I told you they would get together before a second mission, pay up," Robin said as he looked away from the video-feed of the cave that he so happened to have hacked. Raider frowned at him and handed him twenty bucks. There goes a perfect chance at getting money considering he just had to give his away. Robin stuffed the money into his utility belt for safe keeping.

Raider frowned "I was close though." Robin smirked at him and gave his fried/cousin a pat on the back.

"Yeah keep telling yourself that." Raider was trying to look upset but failed when he smirked back. There was no beating the boy wonder when it came to bets.

The two went to go change out of their Kevlar and into their regular clothes. Robin took off his mask to show bright blue eyes that almost looked like the ocean if looked at closely. Raider took his mask off to reveal teal colored eyes and a beauty mark right underneath his right eye. His auburn hair fell into his eyes as he raked his hand through it and out.

"It was to be expected though, the two of them getting together. Lenalee wasn't dense to all the things we were doing...Wally was though," Raider said as he threw off his suit and hung it up. He took out the clothes that were laid out for him, which was obviously done by his mother..or Alfred. He put them on.

"All those hints and he still didn't catch on. He's more dense than we originally thought," Robin said as he walked out already dressed in his civies (I love that word XD). Raider finally came out fully dressed in his navy blue North Face jacket, khaki pants, and dark blue vans.

Robin smirked at him in triumph. "Took you long enough to get dressed. What were you doing, putting on your man make-up?" Raider's eye twitched in annoyance. If he wanted to play that way...

"No I wasn't. Unlike you I have to stay fresh looking. I don't like looking like a kid you know." Robin's eye twitched this time. Oh it was on.

Before any type of fight could break loose, Crow and Batman walked in. The woman had a very peeved look on her face, her brother...his was worse. The two boys stared at their mentors/parents in question.

Raider opened his mouth to speak. "Don't even ask Taylor. I've had enough bull for one day," Crow said as she made her way to the small changing room in the cave.

The two teens looked at her in confusion, wondering why she was so mad. It was normal for her to get mad, but knowing who or what caused it was another thing. The woman was a force to be reckon with when she got seriously angry at someone. She had managed to put one of penguins thugs into a body cast because of a sexual comment. The guy regretted his actions after he was sent to prison in a broken heap. Batman wasn't entirely shocked at what she did...he wanted to do the same to some other guy that came onto his sister.

Batman, now Bruce because he took his cowl off, settled down in his chair with a scowl on his face. He was exhausted but tried his best not to show it. What had happened not to long ago was going to affect him greatly if he didn't get it together.

"Hey...Uncle Bruce, you doing okay." Bruce turned his gaze towards his nephew who had a worried look on his face. He gave his nephew a small smile and did the same for Dick.

"I'm fine, just needed to think. Speaking of which, the two of you looked like you were about to fight, again. What was that about?" The boys looked at each other then back to Bruce.

"Nothing," the two said in unison as they beamed at Bruce. He twitched. They were definitely fighting over something. The man sighed. He didn't have time for their foolishness. He had to go back out in a little bit for patrol. He said he would do it alone...well that's what he said, but Catwoman tipped him off about something being shipped in at the docks, probably drug related. She also said that if they were lucky and got their on time, he could manage to get a sample of the stuff for the Batcave.

"Boys." Taylor and Dick flinched at the sound of a sickly sweet voice coming from their right. Marianne was dressed in a white long-sleeved collared blouse, a black knee length skirt with a small slit on her right leg, and a pair of checkered high heels. Her short hair was pushed back behind her ears and she had her black reading glasses on... they were for show though.

"I applaud you both. I had doubts that the poor boy was going to get together with Dinah's protege," Marianne said sweetly, too sweetly, as she gave both the boys a pat on the head. They shivered.

Something must have happened to make her that mad.

"Are you talking about Flash's nephew and Canaries ward?" The boys looked at Bruce in surprise. How did he...oh-he's the Batman and his sister is Crow, of course they knew.

"I thought the boy would have made his move later on...I guess I lost the bet," Marianne said sourly. She hated to lose. Her brother smirked at her in victory and held out his hand. She dug her hand through her skirt pocket and took out a fifty dollar bill. She walked over to him and slapped it into his. The boys gave confused looks. What just happened?

"Marianne and I made a bet too. She bet on Kid Flash and Tori getting together later on." Taylor's eyes widened in shock. His mom lost..she hates losing.

Dick still looked confused. "If she bet on them getting together later on...what did you bet on." Bruce turned to his so-ward and smirked.

"I bet on them getting together today." The boys stared wide eyed at the man then turned their surprised gaze at Marianne. She was steaming in frustration trying not to explode. It was getting difficult to do so by the second.

Taylor and Dick looked at the two adults. They sighed.

"And they call us immature."

YAY! I'm finally done. I'm sorry it took so long. I was working on some of my other stories too. I had completely forgotten to finish what I started with this chapter.

Wally and Lenalee are finally together ~throws confetti~ I was practically immersed in my work when I typed that part out. It's because I read a lot of fanfiction's with romance in it so don't judge me. If anyone is wondering when the Noah and the others are going to show up...be patient, I haven't gotten to that yet. And for the person who asked about the Artemis x OC pairing...well I'm going to make it interesting...Jakan will not be paired up with anyone. I'm sorry XC!

Well I will see you all in the next segment of my story, chapter 10..woohoo finally double digits. I've been waiting to get to this point for so long. Also thank you to those who reviewed my last chapters, I love the support that you have given and the questions that were asked. I would love to here what ideas people have..not for the next chapter though, that's already been thought out.

Bye Bye everyone and see you all next chapter
