Chapter 15

"I think I still have Aqualad's signal," Robin began, "But it's a little far from here," he stated as he looked to the other teens. Raider sighed and kicked the sand under his feet.

"I really hate this. I mean of all the places to have lost our memories then gain them back," he growled out as he looked at his holo-computer. The others couldn't agree more.

After everyone's memories had been returned, sans Superboy and Aqualad, the team had set out to find their missing team mates and try to get home. Nothing really seemed to be in their favor though. More Bialyan soldiers had appeared right out of nowhere which had caught the team by surprise. It was just one thing after another.

"What I don't get is why," Artemis said.

Tori gave her a questioning look. "Why what?"

"Why we haven't been contacted by anyone from the League. We were given our mission like probably almost a day ago. Don't you think we should try and get in contact with someone?"

"Yeah, we should but we'll do that after we find Aqualad. I know this heat is really getting to him," Raider said as he began to fan himself. Boy was it hot.

About a few hours later, the team had finally made it to Aqualads location and by how he looked things were not good. Tori and Artemis ran ahead of the others towards where the male laid. The two knelt beside him.

"Oh man, he's not looking to good," Kid whispered as he looked down at his leaders unconscious face. Both girls gave the red head a glare then turned back towards Aqualad.

"We can't really do much with Aqualad knocked out like this...and I think I sense a couple of guys headed our way," Raider whispered as he turned to look from behind the boulder they were hiding behind. He saw several Bialyan soldiers with guns and small radios. Oh crap, he thought.

Robin looked up at Raider. "How many," he asked.

"Um, about 10 or 12 give or take. I think the huge tank counts," Raider muttered.

"Just great. Now what are we supposed to do," Kid screeched out in a whisper. Unexpectedly and in a quick motion, Tori slapped Kid upside the head.

"You need to stop and think about the situation we're in right now," she said Kid nodded and rubbed his head. Artemis would have laughed at his pain but right now wasn't the time to joke.

"Hey Raider, can't your powers carry Kaldur to the Bioship, or maybe even transport us," Kid asked. Raider shook his head.

"Dude, you should know by now how my powers work...but I may be able to do something about our soldier problem," the male said with a smirk. Miss Martian gave a puzzled look.

"What do you mean you can..." Before she could finish asking her question, Raider summoned his shadow twin and ran towards the armed men. The others gasped in shock as their teammate took down everyone of the men; that also included the massive tank.

Everyone's mouths were gaped open except for Robin who had a huge grin on his face. Artemis was the first to speak. "W-What the heck did I just see? He just took all of those guys down!"

"Well he has been working out," Robin stated. Artemis scoffed.

"Don't joke...we should really get going." The others nodded in agreement. The teens managed to find a few things and make a makeshift carrier for Aqualad. They were about to leave when M'gann suddenly grabbed her head and groaned in pain.

"S-Superboy. Superboy is in pain," she turned to the others, "I need to go to him, he needs me!"

"Supes can take care of himself. He's kryptonian for crying out loud," Raider said. M'gann shook her head.

"But he needs me! He has no memories and I'm the only one that can get them back," she stated in frustration. She levitated up into the air and flew off.

"Hey! We don't know how we lost our memories; it could happen again," Robin yelled but the martian girl was too far to hear. He sighed.

"That's just great," Kid groaned out.

"I guess we should get moving, I can sense the bioship not to far from us," Raider said as he lifted one side of the raggedy carrier. Kid walked over to the other side and lifted it up.

After about an hour and a half, the team finally made it to the bioship. As soon as the entrance opened everyone piled in. The guys set Kaldur down on a bed and the girls went and got the first aid kit. It was pretty hard trying to aid their leader when he was squirming but they had managed to sedate him.

Raider walked over to a chair and slumped down in it. He started to fan himself when he felt the heat finally get to him. "Geez, it really is hot in Bialya. What is it like 90 something degrees outside?"

"You're close, it's 87 degrees since it's dark out. Still pretty hot out though," Robin said. Raider groaned and slumped further into his seat. Artemis looked over at him and frowned. The male looked kind of pale. She walked over to him.

"Hey," Raider looked up at her, "Are you okay? You look pretty pale." Robin looked up at Raider and frowned. He knew Raider didn't like high temperature weather but he forgot why. He thought back on what Crow told him about Raider. She had said that if it gets too hot he would pass out and weaken.

"Oh crap," Robin muttered. How could he have forgotten. He immediately got up from his seat and picked up the first aid kit. He started to look through it, throwing things to the side.

"Whoa!" Kid stepped to the side as a needle just barely hit him. "What's wrong dude?" Tori looked at Robin in worry then looked over at Raider. She gasped when she saw his complexion get paler and paler.

"Raider," she ran over to him along with Kid, "Raider! Are you okay?" She moved her hand to touch his head and flinched. He was really hot.

"Move him to a bed now! We need to sedate him," Robin ordered. The others moved without question. They moved the male to a bed right next to Aqualad. Once he was sedated Robin took out a syringe that was filled with a light blue liquid. He gently jabbed the needle into his friends neck and waited. Almost immediately Raiders complexion started to come back but only slightly. Everyone sighed in relief.

"Okay, what was that all about and don't you dare say it's a secret," Artemis demanded.

"Yeah dude, what's up with Rai," Kid asked. Tori nodded her head.

Robin looked at the three teens before him. He wasn't going to say anything but the looks on their faces changed his mind. He sighed dejectedly. "Alright, I'll tell you," the three smiled slightly, "but I'm only telling you what's wrong, nothing else got it?" They nodded their heads.

The young male sighed as he began to talk about Raider and his powers. He told them a few things but nothing that involved either one of their private lives. He made sure to stay off the subject of his father and tell them little detail about him being kidnapped. When he had finally finished talking he looked at their faces. They all had a look of pity and sympathy.

"I-I had no idea. I mean the guy jokes around like nothings wrong, but..." Kid couldn't think of anything else to say. He's known Raider for several years along with Robin, and he's never seen nor heard his friend have any issues at all.

"..." Artemis was silent. She thought that she had it bad, but it seemed like others were as bad off as she was. She looked over at Raiders face as he lay unconscious. She wanted to do something for him, wanted to talk to him, but what could she say.

Tori sat next to Kid with a sad smile on her face. She knew pain as well as she knew her brother; it was as clear as day. A lot of people suffer all the time, it's just a part of life. When she gets the chance to, she'll come clean about everything, her home, her past, her family...everything. The first person that she will tell will be Wally. He deserves to know before anyone else does.

"Look, I don't want you guys to treat him any different okay. I've known him since I was 9 and he was 10. I know for a fact that he would not want your pity," Robin stated.

Kid smiled. "Of course we won't."

"You have my word," Tori said with a smile.

"He said he doesn't do awkward so I won't," Artemis said. Robin smirked at her as her cheeks began to get red.

"Hey guys, I got Superboy and we're on our way," M'gann said in their heads. Kid frowned slightly then gasped.

"Aw man, I never got my souvenir," he complained. Artemis scoffed.

"Oh grow up."

"You grow up!"

"I'm more mature then you, so I think that qualifies as being grown up!"

"W-Well, you're mask looks stupid!"

"Really Kid, pointless insults," Robin scolded.

"She started it!"

"And I'm going to end it," Tori said as she pinched Kids ear.

"Ow!"

Tori gave him a stern look. "What did I tell you about being mean." Kid flinched at her tone.

"...not to," he muttered.

"That's right, now apologize." Kid shook his head. There was no way he was going to apologize to that harpy.

Tori pinched Kids ear making him yelp. "Do it...for me," she said softly.

Kid sighed and turned to Artemis. She had a smug look on her face. He frowned. "I...I'm sorry for being mean. Are you happy now?" Tori grinned and let go of Kids ear.

"Very much so," she said as she gave him a kiss on the cheek. He grinned as his cheeks turned red.

"KF I am telling you, you are so whipped," Robin chuckled out. Kid growled but huffed and turned his head away.

"...I know that already. You don't have to keep telling me." Everyone laughed.

~Break~

When M'gann and Superboy had finally made it to the Bioship, everyone greeted them. Robin had a few choice words to say to the martian girl about leaving them hanging. She apologized. She got really distressed when she Raider. They explained to the two that the heat really got to him and weakened him. He had to be sedated and given a special medicine. It was also at that moment that everyone noticed the giant sphere creature. Superboy said that it was being used and experimented on so they brought it with them.

"You're going to have a lot of explaining to do when Batman and Crow see that thing," Robin said as he looked at the sphere.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get there, but right now I think there's something else that has to be done," Kid said as he gave Aqualad a pointed look. M'gann looked at her leader then bopped her forehead.

"Hello Megan, I totally forgot. Let me just take care of that right now," She said as she flew over to the male and put both of her hands to her head. After a minute or so he woke up in a groan. He sat up and looked at everyone with bleary eyes.

"W-What has happened," Kaldur asked. M'gann chuckled.

"I gave you your memories back. I was told that you were unconscious for quite awhile." He nodded his head. He looked around then spotted Raiders still form.

"Did something happen to Raider as well," he questioned.

"Yeah, he kind of has the same problem as you and Miss M. He got over heated and had to be sedated. I gave him something so he should be fine," Robin said.

"That is good...we should head back as soon as possible. I know our mentors are worried for us."

"I agree," Robin said.

"Then set a course for Mount Justice." M'gann smiled and flew over to her seat. The bioship hovered off of the ground as everyone found their seats. Artemis sat next to Raider so she could keep a close eye on him, or that's what she said. Robin knew why she really did it though.

The ship flew up into the air and spew away from Bialya. It had been a long day in a half and everyone were in desperate need of a break...like they would get one though, but it was wishful thinking though.

As soon as the bioship landed in the hangar, everyone was immediately greeted by their mentors. Batman and Crow were standing in front of the others with frowns on their faces.

"Where have you guys been?! All of us have been worried sick...and where is Raider," Crow asked in distress. The teens only stood there with awkward looks on their faces. That gave the older woman a bad feeling.

"Well you see-" Kid started.

Crow growled and was about to walk up to the boy, but Batman stuck his hand out in front of her. He looked back over to the teens. "Where is Raider," he asked.

"...He's inside the Bioship unconscious. It got really hot in Bialya and he-he started to feel really bad. He got paler and paler so we had to lay him down and sedate him," Robin stated. Crow gasped slightly.

"Did you give him his medicine? Oh, please tell me you did?" Robin nodded his head.

Crow sighed in relief. "Thank God," she muttered. Black Canary walked up to the woman and gave her shoulder a small squeeze. She turned to the team and smiled.

"Circumstances aside we are glad that you all are alright," she said reassuringly.

"You may all leave, but Tori I would like you to stay behind," Batman said as he stared at the girl with a frown.

"Y-Yes sir," Tori said nervously. Why did he want her to stay out of all of them? The others gave her a look of sympathy as they left. Kid told her that he would call her later.

The team and their mentors, except for Batman, Canary and Tori, left the hangar. Crow and Robin had taken Raider to the infirmary to make sure he was still stable. It was finally quiet.

"Um..." Tori flinched under the mans gaze. He was being really intimidating right now and it was really freaking her out.

"Tori, while you all were out on your mission, we came across something. I have a feeling you are familiar with it," Batman said as he turned around with his back facing her.

"I...uh...what is it exactly-" Before she could finish talking she heard footsteps. She leaned to the side to get a better look at who was coming, and when she finally saw who it was she gaped.

"Allen!" The male grinned at her and ran up to her. He threw his arms around her and gave her a hug.

"Lenalee! I missed you...I-I mean everyone back at the order has missed you," Allen said as he pulled back to look at the girl.

"I-I don't know what to say, I mean how on earth did you find me here. How did you even get here?"

Allen scratched the back of his head nervously. "Well you see, your brother made this thing that can detect innocence and can also transport people to different dimensions," he lifted up his wrist, "This thing around my wrist allows me to be able to communicate with Komui and bring us both back."

"What do you mean bring 'us' back," Batman questioned suspiciously. He knew a few things about the girls and the boy told him things as well, but he never mentioned anything about dimensions. He had a feeling before that the boy wasn't telling him everything.

"Uh, what I mean is that this device on my wrist sends out some sort of beacon and can transport us back to our world...Lenalee never said anything to any of you?"

Lenalee sighed. "No, I didn't."

Allen frowned. "Why? Why didn't you tell anyone? I know for a fact now considering what I've seen since they brought me here is that they could have helped you." Lenalee flinched at his tone. She knew that, but...

Black Canary saw the shameful look on her protege's face. "Alright that is enough, we can figure what to do tomorrow, but for right now I think Tori needs some rest. The team had a long day."

"...Okay, but you're going to tell me why...alright Lenalee," Allen said as he touched the girls shoulder. She nodded her head and touched his hand.

"I think it would also be best that you tell the team tomorrow as well," Lenalee looked up at Canary in panic, " I know it scares you of what they might think, but they need to know sooner than later."

"I understand," Lenalee said as she looked back up at Allen. He gave her one of his usual smiles.

"I'll see you tomorrow Lenalee."

She smiled. "Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow." Batman began to walk away with Allen right behind him. The two disappeared into the hallway leading to the rooms.

'Tomorrow huh,' Lenalee thought, 'I pray that tomorrow goes well.'
