~Chapter 17~
"Let me get this straight, Lenalees 'friend' showed up who is apparently from another dimension, which makes her from the same place as well, and you got mad at her because she kept this from you," Barry clarified as he stared at his nephew. Wally nodded his head which was hung low, staring at his feet.
"Yeah, that's about it." Barry stared at the expression on his face. The kid looked really down.
"You're beating yourself up because you yelled at her, right?"
"...I just thought that we got to a point where we could talk to each other about anything. I mean I confessed my love to her and told her my deepest, darkest secrets!"
"You always do stuff like that Kid, you did that to Robin and Raider when you first met them. Heck, you did that to Roy and Aqualad. Come to think of it, you did that same thing to-"
"Okay! I get it, I tell everybody my personal business, but that doesn't make it right to hold something like that away from me. My trust in her has decreased a bit, and top of that I think that Allen guy has a thing for my girlfriend," Wally growled when he his thoughts drifted to Allen. Later on that same day, after the whole dimension talk, he had noticed how Allen interacted with Lenalee. It was like they've been bff's for life, and the thought of them being closer than that made him sick to his stomach.
He was still sore that she had kept something from him, but he felt even worse knowing that his relationship was slightly broken. The thought had not crossed his mind that maybe she didn't want to tell him about where she was really from. Maybe she didn't want him to know cause it might hurt him knowing that she would have to eventually go back to her home...
Now he felt like crap.
"Well Kid, it's a shame to say that you have screwed up royally," Barry commented from his spot on the couch.
"I know," Wally looked up at his uncle, "I shouldn't have blown up like that at her, I should have listened to what she had to say before I did...she's never going to forgive me," he whined and sunk deeper into the cushions of his chair.
"Listen, I don't want to be the one to tell you how to have a relationship, but I think you should take things slow with Lenalee from here on out. And I think you should start by apologizing to her when you see her...well when you do get to see her. I doubt she wants to see you right now," Barry said sympathetically.
"I doubt she would want to see me at all, I mean I was such a jerk to her for a whole day and a half. I don't think I have a right to talk to her." Wally sighed and rubbed the back of his head tiredly. He would try calling her later today.
"It's up to you, but a word of advice," Wally looked up at his uncle, "Don't screw up."
Wally smiled. "I won't." He got up from the couch and ran up the stairs to his room. He opened the door and walked over to his bed. He fell face first then rolled over and looked up at the ceiling. His thoughts slowly drifted to his girlfriend, the one that he had fallen head over heels for when he first met her. A girl that stopped him from making huge mistakes, and one who kept him in his place when needed too. His Lenalee.
He turned over on his side and looked at his phone that was on his night stand. He contemplated whether to pick it up or not...he chose the latter and just stayed on his side staring at his phone. He didn't think it was time to call her yet, not until he felt ready to. He decided to call up Robin and Raider.
.
.
.
"I can't believe that your mom is okay with you doing this," Robin said as he stared at Raider, who was sitting in front of a huge bungee cord tied to the top of a railing. Raider smirked as he stared down from on top of Wayne Tower. He had had asked her to do this on a whim and at random when they were all at home eating breakfast. Everyone was silent at the table when he asked, Bruce and Alfred were openly gaping at the boy. Marianne could only stare at her son with a blank face, then said yes which was even more shocking.
"I was shocked too, but that doesn't mean that I'm not going to take advantage of this," Raider tied the cord around his waist and clipped it to his harness (not sure how this works).
Robin cackled and shook his head. "You are one crazy dude." Raider gave him a boyish grin and turned to the edge of the building. He pulled himself onto the railing and stood on top of it.
"Alright here I-"
Ring Ring
Raider growled. "Really?! And just when I was about to jump too." He took out his phone and looked at the caller ID. He frowned at the familiar number, pressed the answer button and put the phone up to his ear.
"What do you want Wally, I was in the middle of something really important." Robin cackled mockingly
"Well hello to you too Rai," Wally said sarcastically.
"This had better be good West."
"It is...I need another guys support. I can't really deal with this issue alone," Raider heard Wally sigh on the other line. He sounded kind of depressed and he had a good guess on why.
"Look, Wally, my bro, I have a pretty good idea on why you feel like crap right now, but you gotta understand that there are hard times in a relationship. So you got mad, what else is new. So you feel like the worst person in the word, so what. I've only been in one relationship and it was the worst. I will never date a girl like Erica Karr ever again." Raider mentally berated his self when he thought back on his ex.
Wally was silent on the other line. He knew that Raider was right...but he wasn't so sure of what he wanted to say to Lenalee when he saw her. And he knew that he wasn't going to be able to keep avoiding her much longer.
"Hey, I have to go...and Raider."
"Yeah?"
"Thanks for telling me that, you're a real pal you know that." Raider smiled and chuckled.
"Hey no prob, but if you say anything about this to anyone I will upload that video of you drinking from the toilet on the internet," he threatened menacingly.
"...Y-yeah I won't," Wally whimpered out.
The call ended and Raider put his phone away. He sighed and jumped down from the railing. He heard a chuckle and turned around to see Robin covering his mouth. He frowned and walked up to him.
"What's so funny Rob?"
"You Dude. I half expected you to just tell him off and end the call."
Raider stared at his younger friend for a moment then smirked. "Is it that shocking that I was nice to him and gave him some much needed advice?"
Robin smirked. "Yes, yes it is." Raiders smirked turned into a frown and he glared.
"Dude! Not cool, I can be that way if I want to...and by the way I'm thinking about bringing out some old footage from '08 today, I might just upload it to the internet too," Raider said mockingly and smirked when he saw Robins expression change.
Robin frowned. "You wouldn't dare"
"Try me." The two stared at the other when Robins phone started to buzz. He took it out of his utility belt and saw that it was a text from Crow.
"Looks like we have to head back. It still eludes me how Crow just lets you do certain things that are crazy and stupid."
Raider shrugged. "She just loves me is all, and she thinks that I should go out and experience more things. She said that she wouldn't let Jasmin do that though. She's to and I quote 'adorable to let out into the world' or something like that."
"..I have a feeling that Crow let you do more before I showed up," Robin stated dryly as he took out his grappling hook from his belt. Raider followed suit and they both grappled away heading home.
.
.
.
Today, the team, plus Allen, had more basic training, but with Crow.
Now a thing about Crow is that she works someone into a frenzy trying to keep up with her. She was that particular about what was to be done during a fight. Her fighting style was an elegant version of Batman's with a hint of extreme Tai kwon do in it.
Raider gulped in fear as he listened to his mother explain the importance of dodging and when to take the offensive. He had not been looking forward to today and he did not want to be the his mothers victim.
"Okay, so today I will be teaching you the importance of keeping a good defense while preparing for your offense." Crow looked to the team and looked to see if anyone wasn't listening.
"I know that Canary has taught you to keep a fight on your terms, and that is very good thing to have during a fight. I still find that keeping up with your defense a good thing to know. It's a huge advantage when your enemy is tired out...So who wants to be an example."
The team was silent, then Kid raised his hand. "I'll do it," he said with enthusiasm. Raider stared at him like he was crazy. Was he trying to impress Tori again? He thought his friend had learned the last time.
Crow's eyebrow was raised as she stared at the red head come over to the training circle. Black Canary had told her that he had volunteered first when she asked for a sparring partner. Apparently the boy was doing it to impress his girlfriend and show off his moves...he had shown that day that he had some, but not as much as he claimed.
The woman smirked. "Alright, then your up first." Crow got into her stance while Kid did the same.
Kid attacked first with a straight punch that was blocked by Crow. She crouched down and swept his feet from under him causing him to fall. He fell onto his behind with an 'oof' and looked up when he saw the woman coming in for another attack. He rolled over to the side when her leg dropped down to kick him. He got up as quick as he could and ran over to her with another punch. She held her block as Kid tried to hit her with a flurry of punches.
"Crow is amazing," M'gann said in awe. She held fast with her block and counters which was slowing Kid down. He started to get out of breath. Crow smirked at Kids panting form and countered him again.
"I agree, it seems that her blocking is wearing Kid out," Kaldur observed.
"..." Raider wanted to say something, anything at all about his mo-mentor, but he just couldn't. He had been wary of her for the past couple days since they got back from that Bialya mission. He felt like he was suffocating because his mother had been even more protective, yet she let him go out and attempt to bungie from his uncles work place. Why would she even say yes to that in the first place.
"Hey Rai, you okay," Raider jumped slightly and turned to see Robin with a concerned look on his face.
He nodded his head. "Y-yeah, I'm okay." That was lie. He still felt exhausted since the mission. Usually the feeling would go away after a day, but now it didn't feel like it was going to.
And that was never a good sign.
"Okay, so did anyone catch on," Crow asked. She turned to look at her son who looked away. She frowned.
"Your constant blocks and counters eventually tired Bayw-Kid out," Artemis answered.
Crow nodded. "Well, yes I did do that but what else did you notice?" Everyone was quiet.
The woman sighed. "Kid did have a chance to counter me, because I purposely gave him an opening," the team had surprised looks on their faces, "I wanted to give him a chance to use a defensive method against me so that he could slow me down. I guess you just didn't notice Kid."
Kid chuckled nervously and walked back over to stand with the others. Crow smiled. "Alright, now I want you all to try and this time I want you all to utilize defense into your own personal style, so pick a partner."
"Hey, Rai you want to pair up," Robin asked the auburn haired boy. He nodded and the two walked to the circle.
Artemis watched the two walk over to a spot. She sighed as she saw Raider walk away with Robin. "...Wanna pair up with me T," she asked Tori.
"Of course. You, me, and M'gann can take turns with one another." M'gann nodded her head with a smile. The girls walked to the training circle near the other pair, and stood at a distance from one another in their fighting stances.
Superboy and Aqualad nodded at each other and did the same leaving the remaining two, Allen and Kid. Neither said a word as they made their way to the circle where the others were sparring.
Kid was silent as he and Allen stood a distance from the other. After a second the two ran at the other and attacked. Allen raised his leg for a kick but was blocked by Kid. He tried for another kick but was blocked again. Kid jumped back a little and glared at the white haired male. He had come into today all prepared to face Lenalee and apologize for blasting her, but it was short lived when he saw her and 'Allen' walking and talking with one another. When he saw the two of them together he felt a jealous rage boil in the pit of his stomach. He wanted nothing but to pull Lenalee away from him and run off with her. He just couldn't stand seeing those together being all buddy-buddy.
He couldn't stand it at all.
Kid blocked against another attack from Allen, then crouched down and swept his feet from under him. The teen fell on his butt then his back. His clenched shut slightly then he opened them and looked up to see Kid with a smirk on his face. He glared up at him and got up slowly while not breaking eye contact with the red-head.
"Looks like I win," Kid said with evident glee in his voice, which caused Allens glare to deepen.
"Congratulations," he said dryly. The two glared at each other.
"Break it up you two. We don't need any conflict," Crow said as she pushed between the two. She looked between the two and shook her head. 'Males,' she thought and walked over to check on the others.
Tori, frowned as she stared at the two males. She had no clue as to why the two were going at each others throats, but it still made her upset to see her friend and boy friend having a glaring contest...She sighed and turned her attention back to her spar with Artemis who was giving her a look along with M'gann who was standing on the sidelines watching.
"What," Tori asked as she blocked a punch.
"You know what. T you have to talk to him eventually you know. You can't keep avoiding him when you see him. It's been almost a week now." Artemis did a round house kick but was blocked again.
"I agree," M'gann said sympathetically.
"...Says the kettle calling the pot black," Tori muttered then sighed, "I know...but what am I supposed to say to him? Should I just tell him everything?" She wasn't too sure that she said tell him what her true profession in her world is. She knew that Wally wasn't a true believer in magic and that if she told him how she got her powers then he would deny it immediately...She sighed.
She didn't know what to do at all.
.
.
.
"That's enough for today's training everyone, and I hope you have all learned something today," Crow said as she stared at each one of the teens. They all looked pretty exhausted by the looks of their faces that were covered in sweat.
"Go and clean up. You all have the afternoon free."
"Yes," Raider cheered and ran to the showers. Everyone could only stare at him as they saw his form disappear down the hall.
"...He was that eager to leave wasn't he," Crow asked no one in particular. She sighed.
"Robin, tell that boy that I'll see you and him later."
Robin nodded his head and smirked. "You got it boss lady," he said as he watched her leave through the zeta tube.
"... You know," Artemis spoke, "I feel like we got off easy today. I'm not the only one who thinks so, right?"
"I do not think that she was trying to use extreme force against us," Kaldur reasoned.
"...I still fell like she let us off easy though," Artemis muttered and turned away in embarrassment.
Robin chuckled at the blonde. She was so funny when she wanted to be which is why Raider was so interested in her...that gave him an idea.
"How about we get cleaned up then come back," Robin suggested with a smirk," Since we have the rest of the afternoon off we should play a game, team bonding."
"That sounds good, but what game is it that you want us to play," Kid asked in suspicion.. He knew this game of his had bad written all over it.
"Oh, you'll know what it is when we start," Robin gave the red-head another smirk and walked away to get cleaned up.
"...I don't like the sound of that," Kid said as he followed after. He turned to give Lenalee a look as she and the girls walked away. He sighed and walked off. The other males did the same.
Once everyone was cleaned and dressed in there civies, they all sat in the common area around a table. Robin and Raider sat at the head of the table with sever
"Okay," Raider said, "Today, we're going to play a little game I like to call the Kings Game, which is an all time favorite of mine besides UNO." Raider turned to Robin who nodded and picked up the cards off the table and stacked them together.
"Here are the rules, there are 9 cards total, but there is one card with the word King on it. Who ever gets that card is in charge. Those who get the other cards have to do what the King tells them to do because the Kings orders are absolute," Robin shuffled the cards a bit then passed them out to each person including himself and Raider.
Artemis picked up her card and turned it over to look. She clicked her teeth when she saw that she got a number and not the King card. "Dang it! I don't want to have to do anything embarrassing." She turned and saw Lenalee pick up her card and turn it over. The girl sighed and bowed her head dejectedly.
"Did you get a number too," Artemis asked. The girl nodded her head and turned to look at Aqualad who was sitting next to her. He turned his card over and looked at it. He stared at his card for a bit then set it down and looked up. Everyone was staring at him in anticipation and made him flinch a little.
"Well...did you get the king card," Wally asked while trying to get a peek at the males card.
Aqualad shook his head. "No, I'm afraid I did not."
Raider pouted. "Awww and here I thought you got it. Screw you for getting us riled up like that."
"My apologies," Aqualad said with uncertainty in his voice.
"I guess it's my turn to look now," Wally said nervously as he picked up his card. He lifted it up quickly and looked. He groaned as he saw a number on his card.
"You got a number didn't you...ahahahahahahahaha okay now I'm can't wait to see who got King," Raider laughed as he turned to look at Allen who picked up his card casually. He looked at it then set it down.
"Dude, did you get King or did you get a number," Raider leaned over the table trying to see.
Allen shook his head. "No, I didn't." Wally sighed in relief at that.
"Alright," Raider said aloud, "M'gann and Superboy, did you guys get numbers or King?" The two looked down at their cards and flipped them over.
"I got a number," M'gann said with a smile and turned to look at Superboy, "Did you get a number too?"
"...Yeah," He said with a grunt at the end. Raider grinned at the two then turned to look at Robin.
"That means that one of us has the King card," he said in excitement. Robin nodded.
"Lets flip them over together on the count of three." Raider grinned.
"Good."
"1."
"2." The two lifted there cards slightly.
"3!" They flipped there cards over and picked them up to look at them.
"Awww," Raider whined as he looked at his card, "I got a number."
Robin smirked in victory and lifted his card for everyone to see. "I got King which means my orders are absolute, and I think I'll start with...numbers 5 and 2 your up."
"What?!" Wally blanched, as he got up from his seat along with Tori who didn't look too happy that she was called upon. The two walked over to Robin who still had his smirk plastered on his face, and was fanning himself with his King card.
"Okay Rob, before you tell us to do anything, I would just like to say that I wasn't the one who ate your fat free candy sticks...it was Raider."
"What?! Dude, you promised you wouldn't rat me out," Raider yelled as he pointed at Wally.
"And you said you wouldn't tell him it was me that broke his favorite pair of sunglasses," he yelled back.
"I didn't tell him, matter-o-fact I've kept that to myself since then." Wally gaped at him in shock then slowly turned his head to look at Robin who was glaring at him while his face turned red in anger. Oh boy.
Wally raised his hands in mock surrender and whimpered. "Look d-dude, I am sooooo sorry that I broke them, I know they were your favorite pair, but it was an accident I swear!"
"...KF, I don't think your going to escape his wrath this time," Raider chuckled and backed away slowly from his fuming friend.
"...Wally, Lenalee, my first order for you both will be to..." Robin started to look around for something then grinned when he spotted the supply closet. His grin slowly turned into an evil smirk as he looked back over to his victims...well Wally.
"I want the two of you to go into that closet over there," he pointed to a door located next to the kitchen," and stay in there for the next...hmmmm, how about 15 minutes or so, then I'll send someone to come get you two."
Wally gaped. "Uh..Rob I can't do tha-"
"The Kings orders are absolute Baywatch," Artemis said in a sing-song voice as she smirked at him and then gave Lenalee a sympathetic look.
"Shut it Harpy..." Wally and Artemis glared at each other.
"Wally," the red head stopped his glare with the blonde and turned to look at Lenalee," Lets just do what he says so we can get this over with," she turned to walk over to the closet with Wally staring after her. He didn't know what to say since he was still upset about being chosen first and being ratted out.
He smiled slightly as he saw Lenalee open the supply closet door and look back at him with a small smile. He had a feeling that Robin had already seen the numbers before they started, and had planned on this happenening.
"Hey Rob." Robin looked at up.
"Yeah?" Wally looked back at his friend and gave him a big grin.
"Thanks," he said as he sped over to the closet and went in after Lenalee. He closed the door behind him and it shut with a 'click'.
"...Well, I think I might leave them in there a little longer than 15 minutes," Robin declared with a smirk.
"I believe you should," Raider leaned on the table with his left arm propped up and his right holding his card.
"Now, it's time to pick my next victims," he turned to look at the remaining ones and tapped his chin," I'll pick...numbers 1 and 6 come on down."
Artemis blanched. "Crap! Why did it have to be me," she complained as she got up from her seat and walked over to Robin.
"It looks like I'm up too," Raider said and got up from his seat. The blonde blushed and smiled as she watched Raider walk over. She couldn't be more happy at this situation, forget what she said before, this was a wonderful turn of events.
"Numbers 1 and 6, I would like you two to...give each other a kiss," Robin ordered as he stared at the two in front of him.
"Well...that doesn't sound to bad," Raider looked at the blonde with a smile. She nodded.
"Yeah...um, where exactly do we have to kiss," Artemis asked curiously. If it was on the cheek or the forehead she was good.
"On the lips." Artemis nodded.
"Oh, on the lips that sounds...wait, on the lips...in front of others," she exclaimed in panic. She didn't want others to see her kiss her boyfriend...yeah boyfriend. The two got together the day after they got back from Bialya, which wasn't a shocker at all. It may seem different considering they haven't told anyone yet, but Artemis was very clear that she wanted to keep their relationship a secret...for now.
"I don't mind," Raider said coolly as he grabbed the blondes hand and squeezed it, "Kid-rat-me-out is doing something way more embarrassing then me,right? So, why can't I." He looked at Artemis and gave her a grin while she looked up at him with an evident blush on her face.
'This is so embarrassing,' Artemis screamed in her head as she continued to stare back at Raider. The two leaned a little closer to one another. Raider leaned in some more and put his arms around her waist.
"Pucker up Arty," he said as his lips connected with hers. Her eyes were wide in shock at the sudden action. She knew everyone was watching her, then her eyes closed slowly as she returned his kiss.
"...I did not expect them to go through with that order," Robin stated as he stared at the two. His original goal was to get the couples to rid themselves of any issue they had with one another.
"I guess my plan worked after all," Robin muttered to himself.

Watchtower
In the conference room of the watchtower, the original members of the league were having a meeting discussing the usual, such as world crisis issues, their cities villains, the recent activity of the team, etc.
"I think that Green Arrow should do something about Star cities recent crime rate going up," Crow stated. The man in question opened his mouth to speak, but didn't get that chance.
"That would be nice if it wasn't for the fact that since our recent ice villains ordeal, we have had no time to deal with drug dealers," Black Canary replied on behalf of GA.
"That's all well and good, but has everyone forgotten what happened the last time we left something like this alone," Crow asked the woman.
"What happened last time was nothing but common thugs ransacking homes in the middle of the night," GA clarified.
"That isn't all that happened," Crow said and sighed, "Well, enough of that, we should get on to talking about the teams progress."
"I agree," MM (Martian Manhunter) said.
"Besides the issue of them losing their memories in Bialya and almost dying, I think that the team has done well in their training. I would like to point out though that Tori has been a little unfocused lately," Crow stated.
BC nodded in agreement. "I have tried to talk to her on the matter of her friend, Allen Walker, showing up here about a week or 2 ago."
"Speaking of that boy, how has be been adjusting? Has he shown any signs of what his powers are," Superman asked.
"Nothing yet but I believe he possess the same power as Tori does."
"I know this a little late to ask but what are Tori's powers exactly. She didn't make it very clear when you first introduced her to us last year," Flash asked the woman.
Canary was silent for a moment. "I believe she called it 'innocence'. She said that only those who are chosen by God shall be granted this power."
Crow looked skeptical at the answer. "What does she mean 'chosen by God'?"
Canary interlaced her hands together and propped them on the table. "In her world, there is a group called the 'Black Order', and there objective, from what she told me, is to eliminate these creatures called Akuma with their power." Some of the members had looks of shock and curiosity on there faces.
"That sounds a lot like a cult," Zatara stated. Canary nodded.
"...Isn't Akuma the japanese word for demon," Crow said and looked to her brother who had a grim look on his face.
"I think it is best that we keep an eye on both her and that Allen Walker boy," Batman said and pulled out his holo computer. He typed rather quickly on the screen and looked up to see a large screen appear in front of them. On the screen was a picture of a male, a teenage male with dark hair, dark skin, a dark jacket with fur in the hood, dark blue jeans with rips in them, and a pair of black combat boots.
"Uh, Bats who is this," GA asked as he stared at the picture of the boy on the screen.
"His name is Jakan, and from what I have heard he is a very big problem."
"How so," Superman asked.
Batman pulled up several other pictures of the teen. " He has been seen with several members of the League of Assassans along with Klarion, Luthor, Joker, and has wreaked havoc among other things that he has done." He pulled up another picture of the teen that showed him grinning up at the security camera while giving it the finger.
"This looked to be more like a troublesome kid," Aquaman said.
"Now that is where you are wrong," Crow said as she pulled out her holo computer and pulled up a clip, "This is a security camera that I hacked into from the factory that the team blew up a while back." She pressed play.
As the clip played, some of the league's mouths dropped as they saw the teen murder Kobra in cold blood, and throw his dead body to the ground.
"...By the Gods," Wonder Woman said in shock.
"I can't even comprehend what I just saw," Flash turned to look away from the screen as quickly as possible. Some of the others did the same.
Superman frowned as he watched the clip. "Do either of you know his whereabouts?"
Crow shook her head. "As of now, this boy is in incognito to us," she swiped her screen and made the clip disappear, "That mysterious power of his might be the cause of why we can't track him."
"It looked very smoky and dark," Captain Marvel spoke for first time as he shivered.
"I seem to recall Aqualad mentioning something about this. He said that this boy had shown up when the team went to go see about the Helmet of Fate," Aquaman said in thought.
"I think Kid told me the same thing," Flash said.
"Same with Tori," Canary said.
"..."Batman was silent as he thought about what has been said about events that transpired over last month and now.
"What are you thinking about," Crow asked him.
"Nothing that hasn't been said already," he looked up at the other league members, "We now have evidence that our villains have been working with a secret person who has now been revealed to be a teenage male. I would like us all to look further into the matter of why four ice villains attacked on the same day."
"Agreed," Superman said, " I would also like to point out that having your coffee while on duty and leaving it when you leave needs to stop." He gave a pointed look to Flash.
"Hey! I'm not the only one," Flash blanched and pointed at GA who shook his head.
"I never bring coffee with me when I'm on duty."
Crow rolled her eyes. "Yeah, but like bringing your fiance with you to make out with is any better."
GA glared at her. "You just love to poke fun at me don't you." Crow only smirked at him and he glared at her even more.
"Enough! You two are no better than Kid Flash and Raider," Batman said. The two hung their heads.
"Sorry," they said. Flash, Captain, Marvel and BC chuckled quietly as they watched what was going on.
Superman smiled. "It is good to have a laugh at the end of a meeting," he side glanced over to Crow who had a smile on her face, "Meeting adjourned." Everyone got up from their seats and walked towards the exit. Batman, Crow, and Superman were the only ones left after the others dispersed from the room.
"I wonder what I can make tonight," Crow thought aloud. Batman looked at her.
"I don't think it's your might to cook Mari," Crow smiled at her nickname. It was alright to say it since it was only the three of them here.
Crow turned to look at Superman who was almost out the door. "Her Clark," he turned to look at her as he held the door open.
"Uh yes, what is it?"
"Would you like to come over for dinner tonight? Since it's my night to cook," she gave her brother a small glare as he turned his head to look away, "I thought you might want to come over, you know, as friends."
Superman mentally jumped for joy at the invitation as he smiled at the woman. "If it isn't to much of a bother for you, then I would be glad to."
"Great! I'll tell Al and the kids to get ready...um what time is good for you?" Superman frowned slightly at the question. What time would be good for him? He did have an article that he had to finish tonight before tomorrow, and he had to drop off some books that he had borrowed from Jimmy.
"7," Batman answered for the man before her could speak.
Superman thanked the man silently. "7 is good for me."
"That sounds good to me," Crow beamed at the man and walked over to the door, "I'll see ya at home B." And she was gone leaving the two men a lone together.
…
"You should count yourself lucky Clark," Batman said as he walked over to the door.
The man in question nodded his head and sighed. "I know." It was a miracle she was even talking to him after he ditched them at Bibbo's diner. After that the woman didn't even want to speak with him when he tried to strike up a conversation with him, being as civilians or when they were in a league meeting.
"You still have other things you have to do besides trying to get a date with my sister," He said as he walked out the door, "Does Superboy ring any bells to you?" The man flinched and turned away. Batman saw this and sighed.
