~Chapter 22~
"I can't believe we're going to be going on an intergalactic mission. I mean seriously," Wally said with a look of excitement on his face. Lenalee smiled at him as she and the others sat around in the den. As Wally said, Batman had given the okay for the team to go on this mission or request that Raider's dad had asked of them. He was reluctant at first since he still held some ill will towards the man for hurting his sister, but after much thinking and conversation with the other three leaguers present, they had come to a stand still.
Robin smirked at his friends excitement. "You seem to more excited then the rest of us KF. Why is that?"
"No reason at all...okay you got me. I want to be one of the first teens to step foot onto another planet, seek the wonders of the universe you know. Find other types of scientific discoveries out there in that great big galaxy."
Artemis rolled her eyes. "Man what a geek. Although it does sound kind of exciting," she muttered. Raider snorted next to her and wrapped his arm around her.
"You're just excited to see what type of people the Gyphens are am I right? It's hard to hide things from me sweetheart," he teased. She elbowed his arm. "Ow!"
"It's not that Rai, it's just that Batman nor any of our mentors have ever let us do something like this before. This would be a first for all of us, as a team," she indicated.
"I could not agree more. My King was rather calm over this matter of letting me leave Earth. It gives us great opportunity to learn all we can while we are away," Kaldur conveyed with eagerness in his tone.
"Didn't Christopher say something about a ship arriving tomorrow at noon, and also something about a personal guard," Connor asked.
"Uh huh and also that we should pack light since we won't be needing that much," Lenalee said as she cuddled up against Wally, feeling his arm wrap around her.
"Why is that," M'gann asked.
"He mentioned something about there being clothes already prepared for us," Raider answered as he laid his head down on his girlfriend shoulder.
"I wonder what they plan on doing about our schools. Won't people get suspicious that all of us are conveniently gone," Allen asked warily. Robin shook his head.
"Nah, Batman and Crow have that covered." The team spent the rest of their hang out time talking animatedly about other things up until it was time for them to go home.
Mount Justice
Outside of the cave
"Is everyone here," Batman asked the teens. They nodded. "If so then where is Allen?"
Lenalee sighed. "He had to go back to our world. My bro- I mean commander told him that it was an emergency."
Batman narrowed his eyes at her slip up but let it slide this time. "Christopher contacted a few hours ago, he said that his ship would be here to pick you all up shortly. Team I do have one things to tell you all before you leave." They looked at him in question. "Keep a close watch on that man while you are on this mission. Do not under any circumstances give away anything. Is that understood."
They all nodded.
"Good. Oh, by the way, a few more people will be coming with you on this trip."
"...What?! I thought it was just going to be us and that Christopher guy," Wally blanched out and slumped in his spot on the beach. "I knew it was too good to be true. Why would Batman let us off the hook after our little Red's escapade in the cave."
"Wally, it's not so bad when you think about. The more people with us the better," Lenalee stated. The red head shook his head making her sigh.
Robin and Raider looked at each other. They knew exactly who was coming with them, but it would be best not to mention anything until they got here.
After about an hour and thirty minutes of waiting, they all heard the zeta go off behind them in the cave. " Oh I wonder who that could be," Artemis said sarcastically.
"It's Crow and...somebody really short, I think it's a little girl," Superboy announced to the team. That made some eyebrows raise except for three people; Raider, Robin, and Wally gave wary looks as they saw the woman and little girl with sunglasses, pink ribbon's in her pigtailed hair, a pink short sleeved shirt, a plaid black skirt, white laced socks, and pink Mary Jane's approaching them.
"Aww she's so cute," M'gann gushed at the sight of the pig tailed girl.
Crow chuckled at that. "This is my daughter and Raiders sister, Jazz. Sorry, but I can't give her real name away to you guys. Batman's rule."
Aqualad nodded. "We understand." He smiled when he saw the little girl look up at him, tilting her head slightly.
"You're Aqualad," she stated as she pointed her finger at him. She turned to the person next to him with her finger still jutted out. "You're Artemis." Said Blonde nodded her head feeling slightly awkward for being pointed at by a little girl. Even her face was wrinkled up when she said her name. She continued on until she got to the young kryptonian male. She paused for a second, trying her best to remember what her brother told her, but her memory was drawing a blank. Crow turned to look at her son giving him a look that said 'help her'. The auburn haired male sighed and complied with his mothers order.
Raider walked over to his sister and knelt down next to her with a small smile. "Do you know who this guy is," he asked her giving Superboy a pointed look. She shook her head, still looking up at the teen with a confused look on her face. Her brother sighed, grabbing her hand and bringing her over to him. Once they stood a few inches apart from each other Jasmin smiled seeing as how she had a better few now. She saw that he had a slightly darker shade of blue in his eyes than her mother and uncle did. His facial appearance was so much like Mr. Clarks (her mother told her to call him that), and he had the same hair color as hers.
Superboy didn't know what to think as he stood directly in front of the little girl. He had been curious as to why Crow would bring her daughter on this trip. Didn't she care about her safety? And that's when it hit him. He realized that if Raider had managed to inherit powers from his dad then so did she. He felt pretty envious of them since their dad loved them and was willing to teach them. He wondered if Superman would ever try and communicate with him, he hoped he would. He shook his head. Thinking of such things at a time like this wasn't exactly going to help him much. He sighed inwardly not noticing the sad look he was being given from Jasmin.
Raider looked between the two trying to make out what was on their minds. He hoped this didn't turn out like the first time Jasmin met Wally..man that was funny yet also horrifying at the same time. It was not until a minute later that he had had enough. They were so quiet it was irritating just standing here watching them. He knew some of the others thought so as well.
"Jazz, are you goin-" He was cut off by a mild glare his sister. He flinched.
"You lied to me big brother."
"What? I don't know what you mean." Jasmin turn her body towards him crossing her arms and giving a pout.
"You said that you were the only cute guy on the team. Superboy is way cuter than you," she spouted at him. The team and Crow burst out laughing at his crest fallen expression.
After about an hour of waiting the ship had finally arrived. What they didn't expect though was the massive size. Many mouths were agape as the large gray ship landed in the water causing a small wave to rise up from it.
"What the heck," Raider yelled as she stared wide eyed at the foreign space craft. "I thought he said he was arriving in a small ship not a gargantuan one!"
"Maybe he wanted to show off," Robin said getting over his shock. The auburn male glared at him making the younger smirk at him.
"That's stupid. I mean yes he's royalty, but that," Raider pointed at the ship, "is just a wee bit over the top."
Artemis quirked a brow. "A wee bit," she questioned.
"Okay it's very over the top." Kaldur elbowed the male in his side. "Ow, hey you know I'm right." He got a disapproving frown in return.
"Hey uh guys, it looks like it's opening," Wally pointed out. Everyone turned towards the ship, watching as a large door opened up from the back of it, revealing a very bright and misty inside. And there, standing at the entrance was Christopher with...two weird looking guards next to him?
"Is that really necessary," Lenalee asked no one in particular.
Crow snorted. "To him, yes, yes it is." She tightened her hold on her daughters hand, watching as her ex-husband and his guards walked down invisible stairs. Where exactly did those come from?
"They're walking on nothing," M'gann said catching everyone's attention.
"..." Superboy didn't say anything but from his slightly widened eyes he was pretty impressed.
When Christopher and his two guards approached them he smiled. "Greetings to you all." The team nodded at him. "My ship is ready for our departure, if you would all come with m-"
"Hold on a sec," Crow interrupted, taking a few steps towards him with Jasmin's hand in her kevlar covered one.
"Yes?"
"Why are their two guards with you? Do you not trust us or is it just a precaution," she asked suspiciously.
"...I am not supposed to relay this information...but my parents, the King and Queen requested that I supply myself with plenty of guards before I came here. They are quite protective you see," he chuckled to himself.
"Protective," Kaldur asked.
The auburn haired man nodded. "Yes, you see ever since I left Gyphten all those years ago my parents had become overly worried for me. They threw out new rules over how none shall leave the planet without the proper security, and that goes for all of the royals. Even the poor people of my home are to have the proper paper work to leave."
"You must have been stifled when you went back home," Lenalee vocalized in sympathy.
"Not that much," he stated with a small smile. "Alright, enough chatter, let's be off. I don't wish for my niece to be angry if we are not back yet." He clapped his hands and turned back towards the ship with his guards following close behind him. Crow, Jasmin and the team looked at each other then back at the man. With a sigh they followed after him.
"Your niece," Raider asked in interest.
"Oh yes," Christopher chuckled as he looked back at his son, "She begged me to take her with me. She was very curious to see her cousins, and also because she has a fond interest of Earth."
"Just like you," Superboy spoke.
The man froze for a second, eyes slightly widened, then with he smiled and nodded. "Yes, just like me, heh except for the crazy obsession with Earth music." Christopher chuckled to himself causing the others to look at him curiously.
He sure was a weird one.
"C'me tu rei mon (Don't worry mother)," a young girl with long auburn hair and light green eyes spoke, staring straight into a brightly lit screen in front of her. She had on a long white, short sleeved robe that measured down to her calves that had long slits going all the way to her upper thighs. The robe had a plunging neckline that went down to her bust line, a pair of elbow length white finger-less gloves, white stockings that stopped mid thigh, knee length white boots with a rubbery sole, and lastly, a pair of crystal tear drop earrings pierced through her elfin ears.
"Sei ran mon tu B'ana (I am worried B'ana)," the girls mother replied with a frown on her face. The woman combed a hand through ashen hair and sighed dejectedly at her daughters pleading look. "Mo'k soi mon rei ti'a. Christopher mon cre'u sei tu B'ana...E'b c'omtai (Only once will I let this slide. Christopher is responsible for you B'ana...be careful."
B'ana smiled at her mother and nodded. "Sei roi C'ma. Shu'ba tu'i (I will mother. Love you)," she kissed her gloved hand then moved it to the left side of her chest. Her mother did the same and smiled sadly, then the screen turned off.
The young royal sighed inwardly, feeling herself becoming immersed with mixed emotion. Had she not begged her parents to let her come along with her uncle then she would surely have been sent off to the Northern region of Gyphten to be wed to a man she did not know, so say her father and Grandfather; the arbiters of both the kingdom and household. She wanted nothing to do with arranged marriages and the constant banter of the council pulsating in her head.
She wanted freedom.
"W'ey, c'ei mun sei p'ai c'ri (Yet, why do I feel so torn)," she muttered as she moved her right hand up to her ear, touching the earring that adorned it.
Knock, Knock, Knock!
The young princess turned her head around at the noise, her calm demeanor now cautious. She stood up slowly from her bed and made her way over to the large silver door. Her eyes glowed bright as they changed to a pale violet color (it's like Superman's see through vision). She stopped a good couple inches from the door and stared directly at it with her eyes. On the other side of the door stood a female guard garbed out in a long purple robe with golden spaulders on her shoulders, a golden helmet that covered the bottom half of her face, metal arm gauntlets with her family crest on it, golden battle boots with silver threads trailing up to her knees, and a long metal staff at her side.
"C'ei m'in u'ui (What is it)," uttered calmly, her eyes returning to normal.
The female guard stood at attention. "P'agai Christopher u'si o'i te'ru tu (Prince Christopher wishes to see you."
B'ana replied with an "Sei'o g'ui mon ro'i (I'll be out soon). The guard saluted and made her way back down the hall. Quietly the young girl opened the door to take a peak outside. She looked left and right, seeing no sign of any guards standing watch, then with great speed she made her way to the royal chambers of the U'tai (ship) to see her uncle.
The team plus Crow and Jasmin stared in awe at all of the sparkly and white décor. The room was as big as three classrooms and a lunchroom combined. The architecture was phenomenal with it's glowing apparatus' lining the walls, filling the place with so much volume and magnanimity. They couldn't have been more impressed with anything else if, heck, there was anything else that could compete with this room.
"And this is the dining hall where me and any other royal or representative well dines. As you can see we still have not completely set up for your meal this evening," Christopher chuckled out.
Crow snorted at his absent minded behavior. "You say that yet from the looks of the table I say your chefs went overboard." She shifted her weight on one hip as she crossed her arms, smiling meekly. "Talk about planning ahead."
The Gyphen smirked at her words. "Royalty never disappoints my lady. We gotta stay light on our toes," he stated in a flirtatious manner. The latter swiftly turned her body around so that she was not facing him causing his smirk to drop.
Raider rolled his eyes. "I see you haven't changed old man. Still as 'vivacious' as ever." Artemis coughed into her hand trying to hide her laughter, as did the others.
Christopher's eye twitched at his sons allegation. "You haven't changed either son. You're still the same pragmatic kid as you were when you were 7," the royal responded with a cheeky grin forming on his face. His grin widened at the pink blooming across his sons cheeks.
"Shut it," he hissed. He growled when he heard chuckling behind and turned to glare at whoever it was.
Wally sped up to him and wrapped an arm around his kevlar covered shoulder. "You gotta admit it though, the guy is pretty funny. Maybe that's where you get your sense of humor from."
Lenalee chuckled nervously. "I don't think so Wally," she disagreed, trying her best to pull him away from the already peeved male. If Raider was going to get mad then it was best to pull Wally away before it was to late.
Robin watched the female exorcist pull her boyfriend away by his arm. "I wouldn't put it past him if the guy had no sense of humor at all, but I assure you all that I know who he gets it from."
Artemis raised a brow underneath her face mask. "Really?"
Robin nodded. "Yep." He didn't say anything after causing the blonde to get annoyed with his silence.
"Well?!" He still didn't say anything. "Spit it out already will ya!"
Robin snickered. "Okay, okay, I'll tell you. It's Crow."
Artemis frowned. "Idiot! Anyone with eyes and ears can tell that he got it from her. Besides his looks he takes more after Crow than he does his own father."
"Exactly, he's spent more time around her than anyone else making him more susceptible to taking after her," he hypothesized. He winced when he felt a fist hit his arm and glared at his assailant. "Hey!"
Artemis smirked and walked over to Lenalee and Wally without a word, leaving Robin to glare at her retreating form.
Kaldur sighed at his teammates behavior, wishing that just once they would understand his suffering as the poor bystander before their stupidity. He turned his head and smiled at the sight M'gann of and Connor not acting out in anyway. He was pleased to know that at least some knew how to act in front of royalty, even if that royal was as childish as them.
Once everyone had eaten their fill of food, which was by the way surprisingly good, they headed to the main room of the ship; the Royal chambers.
Like the dining hall, the Royal Chambers were as extravagant and mystifying. The whole room was about the size of a two story house, filled with curtains that had Christopher's family crest imprinted on it, a red carpet that seemed to be floating in mid air, guards at every corner both male and female holding a spear in hand, and of course the throne or thrones since there were two of them.
"This is amazing," M'gann bubbled out in awe, amber eyes wide in wonder as she looked around. Connor nodded in agreement.
"Stuff like this must've cost you a fortune," he quipped when his eyes landed on a golden pedestal located in between the two large chairs.
"Not really," Christopher answered in a singsong tone. "My parents, the King and Queen gave me this ship along with its contents as a welcome home gift...a few bizarre events happened a few years back making it very hard for me to stay on Earth. I couldn't get my self together, I was a wreck, so I told my adoptive parents that I was returning home only for a short period of time. They understood why immediately and said they would be waiting...I left not to long after that. Dug up my old ship and re-inputted the coordinates for Gyphten." He looked up towards the glass chandelier that hung above them. "When I had arrived I was greeted by many of my friends and relatives, I assumed that they knew I was coming so I let it slide...I met up with my parents, greeted them in the way that a proper son of a King and Queen should." He turned to the group with a weak smile on his face.
"Did your parents welcome you back with open arms," Lenalee inquired curiously.
The man nodded his head. "They did; they had all but gotten mad at me for leaving all those years ago. My mother was in tears while my father tried to hold what was left of his calm persona. Heheh they smothered me with honeyed words of concern and love while I apologized a thousand times over for leaving them. They called my siblings to greet me, bringing along with them added additions...During that time I had come to realize what I had lost when I left home. My parents love and kindness, my brothers and sisters jokes, my nieces and nephews who look up to me, all of that stuff had been buried deep within my heart, and I almost forgot it...But."
"But you felt guilty leaving those who you had come to love back on Earth," Raider spoke in a tight voice. He clenched his hands tightly not paying any mind to the sad looks of those around him. He felt a hand cover his, giving a small smile knowing who it was. "Thanks Artemis," he whispered to her. She grasped onto his hand tighter in response.
Jasmin, the poor girl who had not spoken a word since she had gotten on the ship, let go of her mothers hand and walked over to the man much to her mothers chagrin. She tugged on his long robe gaining his attention. He knelt down in front of her and smiled, patting her head in an affectionate manner.
"You're one of the reasons why I feel so guilty for being gone so long. T'ru g'ona (I'm sorry)," he apologized in his native tongue. He moved his arms around her and pulled her into a hug. " One of my biggest regrets is missing your birth. Truly I am sorry, Jasmin."
The ebony haired girl giggled. "It's okay, papa."
"Aww how sweet," Lenalee and M'gann cooed in unison. The boys and Artemis rolled their eyes but deep down they felt the same. The sight of them hugging was cute.
"P'agai Christopher, tu h'iu te'o y'a (Prince Christopher, your niece is here to see you)," one of the guards announced from behind the group. The team jumped a bit at their loud voice.
Christopher smiled. " G'ao, r'ei t'ei (Good, send her in). The guard nodded and made his way to a rather larger golden door that seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, like magic.
Wally called bull on that one, then ended up getting the back of his head whacked by Lenalee.
When the door opened a large array of light suddenly rose up from the ground, blocking everyone's view of this girl, but after a few seconds the lights dispersed.
There before them was a girl with long auburn hair that reached her waist, light green eyes, pale creamy skin, she had on a white robe that looked so regal and refined that showed she was obviously royalty ( A/N refer to earlier for more of her description). But what got everyone one the most was not the fact that she had elf ears, it was her beauty. She looked like something out of a fairy tale.
To say that no one was shocked would be an understatement, they were beyond shocked, they were awestruck.
The girl nodded at the guards politely and slowly made her way into the room while trying to be as dignified as possible. She seemed to be pulling it off since the youngest looking male of the group couldn't stop looking at her. His face was flushed with red too. She chuckled to her self as she made her way next to her uncle who smiled beamingly at her.
"Ah B'ana it's good to see that you are up and about." B'ana's pink lips quirked slightly.
"I am, but would it kill you to call me on the E'ru (intercom). I find that being interrupted by a guard can be quite, what's the word, irritating," she quipped teasingly, a small smirk adorned on her pretty face.
Christopher rubbed the back of his neck as he chuckled nervously. "You act like your mother each time I see you speak which is not always a good thing. Oh! Before I forget-" He turned his attention back to the group ignoring her glare. "I would like to introduce my niece, B'ana. I explained before you boarded that she insisted on coming with me to pick you guys up. She's quite the adventurer isn't she. Ow," he yelped and scowled down at his niece. She turned her head, looking at anything else but him.
Crow blinked a few times.
This girl was supposed to be her niece...She was quite the mystery, and she had a certain appeal to her besides her bewitchingly good looks which by the way are amazing to boot. Was Christopher's whole family like this too.
"Hold on," Artemis spoke drawing everyone's attention, "How do you know English? I thought the only one able to speak our language on this ship was Raiders dad?"
"Hehe funny story, after uncle came back I kind of asked if he could teach me how to speak earths main language," she answered with a smile.
"More like begged," Christopher chimed in.
B'ana ignored him as she continued. "I asked him if he could teach me and he said yes, though he said I would have to skip out a few times on my magic training to learn... When my father heard of this he was not pleased in the slightest," she stopped for a moment, "I guess it's because he finds humans to be a primitive species with expiration dates, his words not mine. He also said that learning your language would be unbecoming of a 'Gyphen' princess."
Artemis gave an unladylike snort. "He sounds like an awesome dad," she stated sarcastically.
"Yep...um"
"Artemis, and this is Raider," she introduced as she grabbed her boyfriends arm, pulling him to her. The male waved at the girl stiffly.
"Hi," he muttered under his breath. He wasn't to happy about being jerked about by his girlfriend, but the look she gave him just now promised horrible things if he didn't say anything.
The other couple, Wally and Lenalee (My Favorite Ship X3) introduced themselves next, with the speedster giving his remarks on magic and his exorcist girlfriend whacking him again. B'ana couldn't contain her laughter after that. They were so cute and funny.
"T'yu (Goodness), I haven't had a good laugh like that since uncle sabotaged my fathers U'tai (ship)," she chuckled out.
Kaldur smiled. "It is never a dull moment back home when they are around," he mused. "I am Kaldur'ahm but my friends call me Kaldur." He bowed in respect. She smiled.
"A G'oana (native) from Atlantis huh," she spoke softly as he looked him over. "I have always wanted to meet an Atlantian," she gushed in excitement. Kaldur was a little taken back by her sudden demeanor but smiled none the less.
Christopher sighed. "There's been nothing but excitement from her for the past century over Atlantis ever since I told her everything about earth. I had to spill my guts to her in order for her to continue her magic training or else I would have been continuously bombarded with questions."
B'ana stuck her tongue out at him. "Yeah but that doesn't mean that I asked you all the time uncle. I trained when I was told to train...oh yeah," she turned her attention to Crow and Jasmin who had been standing next to Christopher, "You are my P'ugai (aunt) and Y'au (cousin) right?"
Crow nodded slowly.
B'ana smiled a huge grin and ran up to the masked woman, throwing her off balance with a hug. The teen nestled her head into the woman's bosom with giggle erupting from her lips. Crow looked down at the girl unsure of what to do.
"I have heard so much about you from Pa'gai (uncle). He has told me so many stories of you, Batman, Raider, Jasmin, and Robin." At the sound of his name Robin smiled, happy that the man had told her about him. B'ana smiled sweetly over at the Boy Wonder causing him to become flustered. She removed her arms from around her aunt and slowly made her way over to Robin with her smile kept in tact. The other members of the team watched with smug looks and smirks as she stood in front of him.
"Hi," she greeted, her eyes sparkling with amusement at his flustered expression.
"Hi," Robin greeted back with a dazed look on his face as she stared at her. For a moment the two just stared at each other, reveling in the strange feeling that their hearts gave them as light green eyes stared into mask covered blue ones.
While this was going on, the other six stood a few feet from them, watching the youngest teens conversant back and forth in a flirty manner.
"...Um do you think we should say something," Wally said a little unsure of what to do. Lenalee shook her head, raising her covered hand to touch his shoulder.
"I don't think so." She gave a pointed look to M'gann who smiled in happiness.
"It's so nice to see him with a different expression than his usual teasing smirks," she chirped gleefully. The other two males behind her nodded in agreement.
Raider gagged mockingly earning him a smack on the back of his head from Artemis. He winced lightly and turned to scowl at her for hitting him. "What d'ya do that for?"
"Usually I wouldn't berate you for this but you seriously need to get it together," she began as she crossed her arms, "You play too much, I should know..." She stopped herself and turned to look back over to Robin and B'ana who had been talking animatedly to each other. She smirked lightly then turned back to Raider who was pouting. She rolled her eyes. "I thought you were mature Rai."
"I am," he mumbled.
"Then stop acting like your Robins age. Geez, he acts older than you and he doesn't have a girlfriend-"
"Yet," Raider interjected with a sly look.
"...Yet...from the look on your face I can tell your up to something, and whatever it is I better not catch you doing it," Artemis warned him with a glare. The latter flinched a bit but he did not move from his spot. "Raider I'm being serious here"
Raider smiled at her and touched her cheek. "I know...but it's time for me to pay him back. I told him I would. Just go with me on this one, please?"
"...Okay but this better not end up being some sort of prank, or else-"
Raider smirked. "Or else what?" Artemis pulled him by his arm and moved her lips up to his ear. She whispered in his ear, and each passing millisecond Raiders face began to get pale. Wally and Lenalee noticed his scared expression and walked over to the couple.
"Dude what's wrong with you? You look like something spooked you, or someone," Wally gave a pointed look to Artemis who turned away with an innocent smile on her face. Lenalee could see under the surface that the girl had said something pretty frightening if it made Raider of all people scared. She held her tongue though, not willing to ask what she said and why. With a shake of her head Lenalee grabbed her boyfriend by his hand and walking them back over to the other half of the group.
Raider's face was now almost stark white as he stood perfectly still, mouth slightly agape as his eyes stared forward. His girlfriend made no move to touch him. She smirked coyly and sashayed her way back over to the other team members leaving poor Rai alone.
The only thing that went through his mind that moment was, "I need to learn not to get on her bad side".
"Sir, we have received reports that an U'tai is headed to the docking bay." A lone male soldier stood at attention in front of a desk wearing the Royal family crest on a purple robe with a small staff in hand, and his other hand placed at the small of his back in a fist. Behind the desk in front of him was a chair with it's back faced directly in front and the front face towards a large stained glass window, royal family crest placed on it.
"...I see," a husky voice spoke in boredom, "and who pray-tell is on this U'tai?"
"Uh, y-your brother and daughter sir, as well as a few others," the soldier answered nervously. He saw the large chair move a hair causing him to stiffen a bit. The sound of a book being closed could be heard from the other side.
"Who are these others? Are they..Earthlings by any chance," the voice asked with an evident sneer added to his tone. The soldier gulped as he nodded his helmet covered head. "...So it seems that my brother has finally decided to interfere. Heh, he always was one for idle chit chat and what not."
"Chit chat sir?"
"Yes, chit chat. He's always been the talkative one ever since we were kids all those centuries ago...he's always been the one that the King and Queen expected to be the best, but not me," the man spoke out through gritted teeth, clenching the book in his hand. The soldier flinched in fear as he heard the sounds of paper being shredded into pieces. He jumped a bit when he saw the chair whirl around revealing his princes' angry demeanor. The royals reddish black hair fell into his face covering fire lit blue eyes, teeth peeked lightly through his thin lips, biting down hard.
"P-Prince F'ai-" He paused at the sight of the man getting up from his chair and walked over to the bookshelf next to the door. One of the books was pulled down causing the shelf to shake and sputter a bit before it slid to the side with a low pitched squeal. Behind it revealed a small panel that lit up with various neon colors. One colored button in particular had the word "Ya'io" (power charge) that was placed directly in the middle of the panel shifted upward. The soldier stared in awe at this, not making any move to say anything as he watched the prince step inside. He saw him raise his cloth covered hand to press the button but before he could a loud beeping sound echoed across the room alerting them to a message.
F''ai sighed in irritation at the interruption, making his way back over to his desk. There on top of it was another panel but with only two buttons that read to and from. He pressed the 'from' button to receive his message suddenly bringing up a large screen with words in Gyphen on it. As he read over the message his eyes narrowed and narrowed until they were small slits on his face.
"It says here that my brother has not only brought along Earthlings but his ex-wife and children as well...along with an exorcist," his last words came out in surprise. What was he doing with an exorcist? None existed in this dimension...unless. His eyes narrowed again.
"Camelia...you wish to interfere as well," he smirked and turned around, gazing out into space as different air-crafts either flew by or landed. "Very well then, if that is how you both wish to play it then...let the games begin."
I apologize to you all for not updating this sooner. I've had a pretty hard time coming up with a few things when I started writing this chapter, and also because I've had tons of college stuff to do. Today I found enough time to get this done so pats for me XD. Anyway, from here on out I am going to be introducing a lot of OC's since this is my own made up part of the series. If you don't like it then you don't have to continue further. To everyone else I hope you enjoy the "Gyphen Saga". I've thought of plenty challenges and hardships to put the team through that will change their outcome when they get back to earth, so basically all of those horrible things that occur later won't be as bad.
I would also like to say that anything else that you all wish to see updated, do not hesitate to tell me. I'm working on like three of my stories now along with a new one so it's set in stone. Tenshii no Destiny, Brothers Conflict, and A girls work is never done will be updated when I get the chance to finish the next chapters . The other six stories...well one of them I'm basically almost done with it, the others...I'll see what I can do.
Please R&R, I wanna know what you think.
