A/N: So here's the next chapter, and this is where we start to diverge from Canon. Noveria will be taking the next 5 or perhaps even more chapters to finish. Not quite sure, anyway onward to the chapter!

CryNet Phantom Operative Wraith
Current assignment: SSV Normandy SR1. Aide to Lt. Com. Shepard, Spectre
Current Location: Bridge, SSV Normandy on approach to Noveria.
Current time: January 28th 15:12. One week later.
"Approach control, this is the SSV Normandy. Requesting a vector and a birth at the CryNet System's dock."
It had been a week since we had left asteroid X57. In that time we had stopped at the Citadel where I dropped off the Thorian nanosuit, gone to Luna in order to shut down a rogue VI, and dealt with Warlord Darius. I then received a message from our CryNet base on Noveria that Titan had failed to report in for the sixth day in a row. I immediately informed Shepard about Benezia being sighted on Noveria and sending Titan in to investigate and their lack of check in for nearly a week. She immediately decided to head to Normandy to figure out why Benezia went there, in the hopes of finding some kind of lead as to the whereabouts of Saren.
I focused my attention back to the present as Noveria control responded.
"Normandy, your arrival is not scheduled. Our defense grid is armed and tracking you. State your business."
"Citadel business. We've got a Council Spectre aboard." Joker answered.
A moment later the man in control responded, albeit reluctantly. "Landing access granted Normandy. By whose authority are you landing at dock 4?"
"By the authority of CryNet Director Martin Duncan. One of his Phantoms is aboard."
"Very well. Be advised. We will be confirming identification on arrival. If confirmation cannot be established, your vessel will be impounded."
"What a fun bunch. I think I'll take my next leave here." Joker quipped.
I gave a short snort. "If you feel like freezing your ass off, from the cold and how they treat you."
Shepard, who was standing next to me, gave a short chuckle. "Alright, lets go and get going. Is everyone ready?" The last question was directed towards the squad assembled at the airlock behind us.
Kaidan nodded. "I think we are all ready commander."
"Very well then. Let's get going." Motioning for us to follow her, Shepard led the way into the airlock. She waited until everyone had piled in before triggering the pressure equalization sequence.
A minute later the outer doors slid open as the Normandy's VI announced Shepard's departure from the Normandy. "Logged. The commanding officer is ashore. XO Pressley has the deck."
"Man it looks chilly out there." Ashley said upon seeing the blizzard outside of the hangar doors.
"Yes. I'm glad that we have our armor to keep us warm." Liara said walking over to the edge of the walkway in order to get a better mountain ranges of this part of the planet barely outlined through the blizzard. "I suppose it would be a spectacular view if it were clear."
My attention was however drawn away from the blizzard and to a group of three ERCS guards that were approaching us, albeit slightly hesitant at seeing a squad of seven decked out with GHOST armor, one of which was a krogan, along with a single Phantom. Shepard stepped forward to meet the group, faceplate sliding back to show her face.
"That's far enough!" The first one, who my suit immediately identified as a Captain Matsuo spoke up. "This is an unscheduled arrival. I need you're credentials."
Shepard didn't seem to care. "Commander Shepard, Spectre. I'm here on a classified mission. That's all you need to know."
The woman next to her, a Sergeant Stirling bristled at this. "We're the law here! Show some respect."
Shepard gave Stirling a dismissive look. "And as a Spectre, I'm above the law here or anywhere else for that matter. So shut up."
"Load of horse crap ma'am." Stirling snorted. By this time the entire squad had arrayed themselves behind us.
Matsuo gave Stirling a warning look before turning back to us, "We will have to confirm that ma'am. Also I must advise you that firearms are not permitted on Noveria. Sergent Stirling secure their weapons."
In the moment Stirling took a single step forward, Shepard took a step back drawing and raising her pistol in a split second. I didn't hesitate to draw my own pistol, as fast as I could.
"Maximum armor."
I chose to let SECOND say that over the external speakers. The rest of the squad pulled out their own weapons before SECOND had finished. Stirling and the turian to the other side of Matsuo raised their own weapons. Matsuo however didn't go for her weapon, casting a wary glance at me and then at the entire squad. My suit immediately picked up on the body language of the three, displaying extreme fear coming from Matsuo and the turian, while Stirling was filled with anger and seemingly hatred.
"Yeah, good luck with that." I said sarcastically.
"No one takes my weapon." Shepard warned, faceplate sliding back into place.
"Charge and lock!" Stirling shouted.
My eyes snapped to my visor as it detected an energy buildup in Stirling's shotgun. A moment later, SECOND again gave a warning over the external speakers. "Warning. Threat detected."
Matsuo swallowed heavily, my suit picking up an extreme sense of resignation from the Captain. "We are authorized to use lethal force. You have until the count of three to surrender your weapons."
"And you have until the count of three to remember your own laws." I growled.
"One."
"Heh, not two minutes off the Normandy and we already in a fight. This is why I joined you Shepard." Anticipation was clear in Wrex's voice as he said this out loud, no doubt also trying to intimidate the ERCS goons.
"Two."
Just as I was about to pull the trigger on my pistol aimed at Stirling, new voice shouted over the intercom "Captain Matsuo stand down! We have confirmed their credentials, Spectres and Phantoms are authorized to carry weapons on Noveria!"
Almost immediately Matsuo sighed in relief while Stirling began quivering with anger.
Holstering her weapon, Shepard strode forward, ignoring the three ERCS guards.
"Behave yourselves." Stirling hissed. I quickly activated and deactivated my power mode, letting my suit flash red. Stirling flinched as my suit detected a hidden feeling of fear emanating from her.
Wrex gave a massive sigh behind me as we entered the building. "Well, that's unfortunate. Now we're going to be stuck in negotiations for ages. I hate negotiations."
I gave a slight chuckle as Kaidan responded. "Well I'm sure that we will end up fighting something for you if our track record is anything to go by."
"Operative Wraith! Commander Shepard! It is a pleasure." I turned my attention to the turian who had spoken, the manager of the CryNet offices in Port Hanshan, a man by the name of Lorik Qui'in.
"Mr. Qui'in." I greeted the man, before turning to Shepard who had taken off her helmet. "Commander, Lorik Qui'in, manager of the CryNet base here in Port Hanshan."
"A pleasure to meet you Mr. Qui'in." Shepard said, taking a step forward to shake his hand.
"Likewise Commander. And please, call me Lorik. Now if you would follow me, the secretary to Administrator Anoleis, Ms. Parasini wishes to speak to you." He said motioning for us to follow him. "I hear you got into a slight dispute with Captain Matsuo." Lorik stated.
Shepard nodded. "That is correct."
The manager shook his head angrily. "Those ERCS goons are always taking every opportunity to poke their heads in where they don't belong. Our docks should be under the complete jurisdiction of CELL, but ERCS never hesitate to interfere."
"They do ignore our deal with the NDC as often as they don't." I commented.
"Exactly! Frankly it really is unacceptable. But every time we try to get the 'Noveria Development Corporation' to do anything, they say that the ERCS are acting without their authorization, but I know that the NDC is putting them up to it. They have let up a bit recently, only interfering when something new comes along, like a Spectre showing up. "
"I suppose they are trying to keep close tabs on a Spectre." Garrus suggested.
The other turian nodded. "Oh yes, I'm sure that that is one reason, but I know that they also are trying to just piss us off. Which really isn't that smart if you think about it. Anyway," He said stopping outside of a room labeled 'Conference room three', "Ms. Parasini is waiting for you in there. When you're done with her you can come find me in my office. There is some information you need to know."
Shepard nodded as she thanked him, "Thank you Lorik."
I hesitated for a moment wondering if I should join Shepard in speaking to Parasini or go straight to speak with Qui'in. Coming to a decision I turned to Shepard. "Shepard, go and talk to Parasini without me. I will go with the manager. When you're finished just ask one of the guards for directions to his office." I said motioning towards a CELL trooper standing nearby.
Shepard gave me a quick look before shrugging and giving me a nod. "Alright. I'll see you later then."
Nodding as well I turned and followed the manager through the corridors to his office where he motioned me in. Sitting down I waited for him to take his seat. "So what's the situation."
Qui'in's mandibles immediately closed from their relaxed position, a clear indication that the situation was rather serious. "I assume you know that Titan went silent shortly after arriving at Peak 15?" he asked me to which I nodded. "We just received a transmission from Titan. Unfortunately it was almost completely garbled and we were unable to get anything out of it. It was almost completely static."
I sighed. "Wonderful. But I assume it had Titan's signature?"
He nodded bringing up a window on his terminal showing the audio recording of the message. There shown in the details was the number showing that the transmission had been sent from Athena.
"Play the recording for me please."
"Certainly." Lorik hit the 'play' button on his terminal.
I listened carefully to the message, having SECOND try and make some sense of it to no success. I sighed as the recording finished "Well you certainly were right. There's nothing understandable there. Strange. Our comm channels are extremely difficult to jam. I only know of one group that has the tech to jam our comms and that's the STG, but I would be extremely surprised if the STG are behind this. Those leave a recognizable footprint behind. But this... completely different. Very strange."
"I thought so too. I was preparing Maroon Section for an assault on Peak 15 if Director Duncan would authorize it."
"Hmm. I doubt that NDC would be happy if we were to send an armed force on the research facility of another company."
He sighed. "I know, but I don't like just sitting around not doing anything while Titan is possibly dying."
I nodded understandingly. "I know. I wouldn't like to have to sit around either. But it could very well lead to some bigger problems later on. I feel like the Director would rather only send in CELL as a last resort. Sending in a Phantom team would probably be preferable to him."
"But it could take ages for a team to arrive! By then Titan could be dead."
I placed a hand on his shoulder, "Relax. It's a good thing that Shepard and I are here. We will be heading up to Peak 15 immediately."
Rather than looking reassured the turian merely flared his mandibles angrily. "There might be a problem with that. Administrator Anoleis has recently passed a new regulation stating that all vehicles are grounded during a blizzard unless they have authorization. It is 'for our own safety'. But I think that he is trying to keep us from going to Peak 15. Titan also had difficulty leaving Port Hanshan and they believed that he might have taken a bribe from Matriarch Benezia to keep others away from Peak 15."
"Hmmm." I scowled angrily. Of course we would be hindered by bureaucracy. But Saren and Benezia would have to know that such measures would not stop us, merely slow us down which told me that Benezia merely needed time. Time that we could not afford to let her have. "We should-" I was interrupted by a knock on the door.
Qui'in gave me a quick look before speaking up "Come in."
The door slid open to reveal Shepard standing there alone. She walked in, letting the door close behind her.
"Shepard." I greeted. "Where's the rest of the squad?" I asked curiously.
She shrugged "I let them go look around, check out the stores."
Lorik gave a turian grin when he heard that "Oh! That reminds me, Director Duncan has given you and your squad a full discount on everything in any official CryNet store. You can get just about everything for next to nothing. The director must really be committed to your mission of bringing Saren to justice."
I noticed that Shepard's eyes had widened in surprise when she turned to give me a glance "Really? That is extremely generous of him."
The manager gave Shepard a nod in agreement. "Oh yes, but CryNet has always been dedicated to the betterment of the galaxy and Saren is an obvious threat to us and as such CryNet is willing to spend many resources to catch or neutralize him. As you can no doubt tell, by his decision to assign our top Phantom operative to act as liaison between you and CryNet."
I cleared my throat here, drawing their attention. "Lorik, I believe that you should inform Shepard of what you told me."
The turian nodded, growing serious once more. "Right, of course. You are aware of the situation about Inquisitor team Titan going to investigate Peak 15 are you not?" He asked, turning to face Shepard.
"Yes. Wraith briefed us on that before arriving on Noveria."
"Well, what you may not know is that we just recently received a garbled message from Titan..." The manager spent the next few minutes telling Shepard what he had told me earlier.
"Do we have anything on Anoleis that we could use against him to get passage to Peak 15? How did Titan get there?" I asked when he had finished.
"Titan slipped out into the blizzard on foot. We were correct in assuming that security wouldn't be able to track them if they were on foot."
Shepard grimaced. "Well I'd rather not have to walk there. Am I right in thinking that it isn't a short journey?"
He shook his head "No its not. I believe that it took Titan a day to make it to the facility, which is 52 earth hours, if my conversions are correct, while it would only have taken four hours in a vehicle."
She blanched slightly. "Yeah so walking is out of the question."
"Again, do we have anything on Anoleis that we could use? You said that Titan suspected that he had taken bribes from Benezia." I asked again, my previous question having gone unanswered.
"They did, but again they were only suspicions, we don't have any hard evidence, however I believe that Anoleis has been taking bribes for some time now."
"So we need to find evidence of Anoleis's corruption so we can blackmail him into letting us leave. Any ideas of where we could start?" Shepard mused.
Lorik nodded. "A few, but we have another possibility. We could appeal directly to the NDC and get them to override the restriction."
"A good idea. But I believe that we should look into trying to find the information anyway, that way we won't have lost any time if the NDC prove to be uncooperative." I suggested.
"I agree with Wraith. See if you can get the NDC to raise the restriction. In the meantime we will look for evidence. Where would you suggest we start?"
"The ERCS database. It will have surveillance feeds of Port Hanshan. You should be able to track Matriarch Benezia's arrival and subsequent movements prior to leaving for Peak 15. You may be able to see when and where Benezia and Anoleis met."
"Excellent. We will look into this immediately. Please inform us how your meeting with the NDC goes." Shepard said standing.
"I will indeed Commander. And please, stay covert. We would rather not have to run into problems because we get accused by the NDC or ERCS of hacking into their database."
I chuckled. "Please, remember who you are talking to."
Shepard smirked "Yeah, Mr. Phantom over here wouldn't be detected, and I could just flash my Spectre authorization if I wanted."
A wry turian grin crept on Lorik's face. "It's been a pleasure Commander."
"So, what are you thinking?" We were standing in the main plaza of Port Hanshan, having left the CryNet offices behind us.
I turned to look at Shepard to whom I had posed the question to see her examining the entrance to the main ERCS headquarters. "Now, we split up." She said still looking at the ERCS building. "I want more options. You will go and investigate the defenses of Port Hanshan. Anything they could possibly use against us should we try to just go for it."
I gave no externally visible reaction to Shepard's orders. "Should I merely investigate them? Or..."
"No. Find a way for us to get past them should we need to. But-" She turned to face me now, her stare piercing me, even through my mask and her faceplate, "Don't kill anyone or destroy anything if at all possible. Put in a virus to shut them down, or something just don't resort to more... violent measures."
I gave her a nod. "Understood. Anything else?"
She shook her head. "No. Just be careful and stay unnoticed."
"With pleasure." And with those final parting words I turned and headed back into the CryNet offices. I picked my way through the many hallways, all the way to the docking bays. Before walking through the doors leading to the bay, I cloaked, vanishing from thin air, drawing a few curious looks from the various CryNet personnel. Striding through the doors I vaulted over the railing without a second thought. After a second of falling I hit the ground with a muffled thump as I sunk down into the snow.
Decloaking I began wading through the snow towards the front of the facility. Port Hanshan is built out of a mountain, with the various hangar bays sitting on elevated pillars. My suit easily protected me from the cold, keeping me warm, while keeping the outer layer cool, so as to reduce or even completely eliminate my thermal signature.
I continued trudging through the snow, until I came out on a road that led to the CryNet garage. Climbing up a snowdrift my vision turned grey with various splotches of color as I activated my nanovision in order to see through the blizzard. I focused my attention on a few certain blue objects, located along the roof of Port Hanshan.
Cross referencing the scans, my suit was able to display to me that those objects were military grade cannons, with enough firepower to shoot down frigates and the accuracy to hit small one man fighters.
I frowned, unable to see if the guns could rotate to effectively engage ground based vehicles. Giving a mental shrug I jogged my way straight towards the walls of Port Hanshan. As I approached them, my suit began highlighting various ledges, beams and pipes running all the way up the wall. Breaking into a full on power mode sprint, I charged forward, pushing off from the ground I ran up the wall for a moment before I reached the first highlighted ledge. Kicking off said ledge I jumped upward to grab hold of a beam which I used to fling myself up even higher.
Grabbing onto a pipe, I began climbing up the wall at super human speeds. When the pipe ended I reached out and grabbed hold of another beam, using that to pull myself up to stand on a new ledge. I had hardly alighted on the ledge that I began moving sideways, being careful to not loose my balance and fall. Once I reached the location marked on my HUD I jumped up, dark grey nanoweave catapulting me up to where I could grab hold of another beam. Beginning to swing back and forth I allowed myself to gain enough momentum so that when I finally thrust my body upward I flew straight and true so that I was able to land, foot first on another beam. Not wasting any time I immediately jumped forward, landing on another beam with my other foot. I continued in this manner, 'walking' up the beams until I reached a certain height when I let both of my feet land on the beam. Sinking down for a moment I sprung upward with all the strength of the nanosuit assisting me so that I landed safely on the roof of Port Hanshan.
I would have immediately been blown off the roof by the force of the blizzard, had I not been wearing the nanosuit which allowed me to quickly react and brace myself against the wind. I began easily fighting my way through the wind to the nearest defense cannon, feet digging into the snowed over roof. Approaching the cannon, my suit immediately showed me that the cannon was easily capable of covering the surface, meaning that they could be used against surface vehicles. However I noticed a small loophole that I would be able to exploit. While the cannon was equipped with state of the art sensors, it didn't look like they were able to detect the fully functional stealth systems of a CTV-23 Wisp Stealth Infiltration Vehicle, one of which, if I was not mistaken, was in-fact present in the CryNet garrison.
But I couldn't bank our lives without proof that there weren't any more sensors, ones that could detect a stealthed Wisp. That in mind, I turned and walked towards the edge of the roof, directly over where I knew the CryNet hangar to be. Reaching into one of my pouches, I pulled out a grappling hook attached to a long, thin yet strong cord. Securing the cord around a pipe, I tested it for strength. Satisfied, I grabbed the other end of the cord and lowered myself off the roof.
Cloaking, I began swinging back and forth and once I got enough momentum, released my hold on the cord at the apex of my swing sending me hurtling towards the catwalk, on which I landed safely. Briskly walking through the doors I decloaked drawing some more curious looks from the various CryNet employees. I strode on, new destination firmly in my mind as I picked my way through the corridors toward the Port Hanshan plaza.
I cloaked as I approached the doors that opened up into the plaza. Turning right along the wall I followed the path that had been highlighted for me by the suit, showing me the optimal path to go with good hiding spots to allow me to recharge. Sidestepping a pair of asari, I slipped into the first hiding place, a decorative bush right up against a wall. Once my suit had recharged I crawled out of the bush and continued on my way.
The next hiding spot was a pool with a waterfall. I made it to the pool right before my suit warned me of low energy reserves. Slowly and silently I lowered myself into the pool, making sure to minimize the ripples created by my entry. Fully submerging myself I uncloaked, taking slow, deep breaths, as my nanosuit filtered my air and converted my exhaled carbon dioxide back into breathable oxygen. I waited in that pool for my energy to recharge and when it was finally finished I cloaked again and slowly pulled myself out of the pool. The hydrophobic nature of my nanosuit caused all the water that would normally stick on and make it wet to pool off so that the suit was instantly dry. This meant that I would not leave any wet footprints and that the water would not interfere with my cloak.
The last stretch of travel brought me up to the ERCS headquarters doors, where there was a rather large, in full bloom tree. Not wasting any time I began climbing up the tree until I was fully hidden within its leaves and flowers. Uncloaking I settled down, letting my suit recharge as I waited for the opportunity to infiltrate the headquarters. I kept a close eye on my visor that was tracking the various people within a twenty meter radius. After five minutes I saw a single person walk towards the ERCS doors.
Cloaking I silently lowered myself from the tree, accidentally knocking a few flower petals loose in the process. The person who I had been tracking, the same turian who had greeted us in the hanger, glanced over in my direction having noticed the falling petals. The turian however obviously didn't notice anything out of the ordinary and continued walking through the ERCS doors. I quickly and quietly followed him through into the main lobby of the headquarters.
Inside was a single reception desk right in the middle of the room where the turian was now talking to a salarian, and a staircase leading up behind the desk.
"Nanovision enabled."
I noticed a vent running along the left wall as my visor enabled the enhanced vision mode. Following the vent I was able to trace it to the vent entrance in the left corner behind the reception desk. I began making my way over to the vent entrance, walking extremely slowly so as to conserve my energy. Arriving at the vent entrance I remained motionless, as the turian and the salarian continued talking.
Worriedly watching my energy ever so slowly drop I began to look for something to distract the two of them. Luckily for me, the turian bid farewell to the salarian and continued past him up the stairs. Smirking I was just about to let SECOND hack open the vent door when I noticed something that made me curse angrily. There was a security camera that had the vent I wanted to get into directly in its field of view. Engaging the suits hacking suite I let SECOND hack the camera and set it to loop feed for the few moments while the vent door was open.
A small message in the corner of my screen showed that the camera had been successfully hacked. By now my energy had gone down to nine percent. Turning my attention back to the vent I let SECOND hack the vent door and quickly entered the vent, closing the cover behind me again. The cover closed with a audible click just as my cloak finally ran out.
"Hmm? What was that?" The noise had drawn the attention of the salarian who turned in his chair too look at the corner where the noise had come from. Luckily however, the salarian was unable to see the nanosuited figure hiding in the darkness of the vent and he shrugged and turned back to his work.
Giving a silent sigh of relief I activated my tactical visor and looked for a network that I could hack into. Immediately, my visor displayed a point of weakness on the terminal that the salarian was working on. Letting SECOND loose, the non-sentient AI quickly hacked into the network undetected, and began downloading the facility map and any relevant information. It didn't take long before I had the entire facility map, the staff roster and locations of the security systems. Unfortunately I wasn't able to access the security systems due to all of them being on a separate security network.
A small warning flashed on my visor and a moment later it showed my location inside of the vent and just around the bend there was an infrared security system, infrared beams hooked into sensors that would trigger if the beam got interrupted.
I frowned, I should have expected there to be sensors inside the vent and my cloak wasn't perfect enough to let me just bypass the sensors unless they were extremely insensitive which I doubted. The ERCS weren't ones to get cheap equipment. Checking the blueprints for a possible weakness in the sensors.
A moment later, SECOND's voice announced that it had found something "Analysis complete. Weakness located."
My visor polarized and showed a detailed rotating view of the entire vent system. It zoomed in on the infrared sensors that blocked my path and froze, highlighting the sensors. A block of quickly scrolling text appeared next to them, detailing its various specifications and notes of that particular infrared sensor that had been compiled by CryNet. This type of sensor had a slight flaw that could be exploited if one had the proper equipment. These sensors would only send a signal to the alarm system if the beams got interrupted, rather than sending a continuous 'all clear' signal. This meant that if the sensors would be shut down by an EMP there would be no alarm triggered, yet they had built in fail safes, so that they would reactivate withing five seconds of being shut down by an EMP.
This gave me the perfect method of getting past the sensors undetected. I could set of a small, portable EMP that would give me five seconds to get past the sensors. This EMP was strong enough to shut down most equipment withing five meters of me, yet wouldn't interfere too much with my suit other than loss of energy.
Smirking I continued along the vent until I reached the infrared sensors. I held my left hand up infront of me, in full view of my visor and a moment later five menu's appeared, highlighted over each of my fingers on my left hand. Quickly and deftly I navigated my way through the various menu's with small finger twitches. A few seconds later and I had accessed the portable EMP in one of my pouches and dialed down the power so that it would only affect the infrared sensors so that nothing else in the building would get shut down. Power dialed down, I activated the EMP. There was an extremely short humming that emanated from my vest before there was a quick burst of energy. Immediately my suit displayed its low energy warnings as all my energy was sapped by the EMP. However it also shut down the infrared sensors that were displayed on my HUD and without wasting any time I crept forward and past the infrared beams that activated again behind me.
That hurdle dealt with I continued along the vents, being as quiet as the suit could make me. Five minutes of crawling through vents later, found me in a vent above the defense system control room. I was able to hear a single female person talking from inside the room. It sounded like she was on a call with someone not on Noveria judging by her conversation. My visor was able to confirm my suspicions, indicating that there was indeed only a single person inside the room. A grate in the ceiling was the only entrance from the vents into this room and after a bit of manuvering I was able to get a clear view of the person sitting at the desk. It was an asari, lounging in her chair talking to someone over her omnitool.
Without any hesitation I activated my hacking suite and had SECOND hack into her omnitool. A few seconds later and SECOND was through the omnitool's basic firewalls and I was privy to everything in it. If I wanted to I could sift through all her files without her ever knowing. As it was I was able to hear both sides of the conversation that she was on now and with a quick trace learned that the other person was located on Thessia. A moment later I had SECOND begin to introduce some static into the call, which grew louder and louder with each passing moment.
The asari was quick to notice the static and sat up straight "Hello? Hello? Stupid blizzard." She muttered standing up and walking around the room. The moment she left I carefully opened the grate as SECOND hacked into the camera watching over the room. Camera hacked and grate opened I lowered myself into the room and walked over to the terminal. Hacking into the defense system I downloaded all of the specifications of the guns on the roof of Port Hanshan, while monitoring the cameras monitoring the hallway outside of the door. Once I downloaded the specifications, I returned the terminal to the way it was and jumped up to grab hold of the vent and pulled myself back up into the vent. I lowered the grate back into place and had second stop looping the camera footage as I saw the asari walking back towards the defense room on the hallway cameras. A moment later the door slid open again and the asari walked in and sat back down in her chair, none the wiser to my actions.
Without a second thought I began making my way back through the vents, with no hiccups on the way out.
Safely back at the CryNet headquarters I contacted Shepard to tell her of my findings. "Shepard. It's Wraith."
Her voice answered me after a few seconds. "What's up?"
"I've finished my investigation. The port defenses are capable of targeting ground based vehicles, but they are not equipped to target our Wisp infiltration vehicles. The path to Peak 15 is open to us."
"Alright. We're almost finished up here. When we are done, we won't even have to bust out."
"Oh?"
"Yeah, we're going to arrest Anoleis. The Executive Board wanted us to find proof of Anoleis's corruption and then help their internal affairs agent, Parasini arrest him." She explained.
"Roger. Should I get a Wisp ready for us to move out?"
"Uh yeah. Get that ready for us. Hold on, we're about to confront Anoleis so I should be going."
"Understood. Wraith out."
A/N: Not sure what to say here other than thanks to DN7 for his continued work betaing this fic.
Other than that I hope that you enjoyed this chapter and as always if you have any feedback or questions, don't hesitate to tell me.
Until next time, and I will try and post the next chapter earlier than the last two updates.
