I can't believe I just said that. Why did I think that was a good idea? Oh Merlin I'm an idiot. It made me even more nervous because Draco was silent. He had backed away from me slightly and looked like he was in serious thought, at least I had distracted him from whatever he was doing. I don't know what I was hoping would happen but anything would probably be better than this awkward silence. I think I expected him to smirk and say of course you do but he hasn't said anything and has now started pacing around with one hand in his hair.

"All that I said is I have a crush on you, am I really that bad?" I said to him softly.

He stopped pacing around and turned to face me and then smirked at me. "No I don't think it's a bad thing I mean how can you resist really, I was just shocked you admitted it." He said with a smile afterwards.

"I swear to Merlin if you tell anybody I will hex you to oblivion." I threatened.

"Why on Earth would I tell anybody? Why would you be embarrassed about it more importantly?" He asked while walking towards me again.

"I'm not embarrassed." I said while going pink clearly showing that I was in fact very embarrassed to be in this situation this caused him to go even closer to me.

"Really, because I think otherwise." He whispered with his lips close to my ear. He gently pecked my ear and moved away again, walking down the corridor to go back to the Slytherin Dormitories, leaving me staring after him.

The next few days had been me trying to avoid him but he kept deliberately making eye contact with me to make me blush. I don't know why he was making me feel like this, for some reason the strong and confident Hermione disappears whenever Draco Malfoy is in the room. Ginny had noticed that I had been acting strange and offered to go for a walk with her. It was Saturday so we had all day to lounge about and I was dreading the conversation that would obviously come up. We sat down under a tree and Ginny started making small talk with me. That was when I noticed two males in the horizon approaching us.

"Ginny, why would you even do that." I snapped and gestured over to the two males who were Blaise and Draco.

"Blaise is my boyfriend and Draco is Blaise's best friend so you two are going to need to learn to get along or maybe even more than get along." Ginny said with a grin and a wink.

I stared at her astounded. "You have been spending way too much time with Blaise."

Blaise and Draco sat down opposite me and Ginny, Blaise sitting opposite Ginny, Draco sitting opposite me. Blaise and Ginny exchanged a small peck and I tried to not look at Draco because I could tell he was looking at me.

"Fucking hell Hermione, you said you liked him not that you wanted to marry him just relax." Blaise said with a slight teasing tone.

"You told him." I said looking up at Draco and tilting my head at him.

"Did you not tell her?" Draco asked and gestured to Ginny.

"Obviously not." I said infuriated that he told Blaise.

"What did you two do?" Ginny asked trying to stop her laughter.

"She said she has a crush on me." Draco answered her before I could answer her myself so I gave him a death stare.

"So she finally admitted it." Ginny said proudly and then it was Ginny's turn to receive a death stare.

"Finally? Wow Hermione how long have you kept this secret?" Draco asked and edged closer to me.

"Why is this happening to me?" I asked quietly to myself and put my head in my hands.

"Look you have both embarrassed her now." Blaise said in a disapproving voice.

"You were the one who bloody started it." Draco snapped at him which caused me to raise my head slightly, he seemed genuinely annoyed with Blaise for mentioning it but it was his fault for telling him in the first place.

Ginny leant close to me and whispered "Bloody Slytherins." in an amused voice which made me raise my head properly and watch them have their mini argument. "Why didn't you tell me though?" Ginny asked her voice still quiet.

"I don't know to be honest, I still don't really want to admit it myself even though I have." I whispered back to her.

"She's okay now stop having a go at me. Look she isn't embarrassed anymore." Blaise said trying to end the argument. Draco looked over at me and gave me a small smile.

"I don't even know why I am acting like this to be fair, I'm just being stupid." I said with a small smile back to Draco.

"If it makes you feel any better Draco has a crush on you too." Blaise said with a cheeky smile and dived behind Ginny so Draco wouldn't hit him but Draco still gave Blaise a death stare.

"...Well...this is awkward..." Ginny said. "Blaise want to go for a walk, yeah, okay lets go." Ginny pulled Blaise up with her and walked off.

"I don't have a crush on you by the way I don't know why he said that." Draco said while focusing on the grass that was moving slightly in the gentle breeze.

"I don't expect you to. Can you tell me anything about what your big secret is though?" I asked knowing this was pushing him but I did still have to find out what he was doing.

"I can't tell you." Draco said softly rather than harshly like I expected.

"What can I do to make you trust me?" I asked.

"No matter how much I trust you, I can guarantee that I won't be able to tell you. It's just too important." He said looking up to me now.

"Why is it important?" I asked.

"Do you really think I'm stupid? You are going to need to try harder than that." He said with a smirk.

I bit the inside of my cheek, this was going to be harder than I thought.

"If I make you fall in love with me, will you tell me then?" I asked.

"Wow that was a bit desperate Granger." Draco said with a chuckle and I sighed.

"You didn't say no." I said cheekily.

"Okay. If you can somehow make me fall in love with you, I will tell you." He said.

"I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not." I said to him suspiciously.

"I'm deadly serious, no love potions or anything though but you have to sweep me off my feet. I expect the whole lot." He said with a wink which shocked me.

"So all I need to do is make Draco Malfoy fall in love with me and he will tell me all of his secrets?" I said as a question.

"Yep." Draco said with his smile. "Be careful you don't fall in love with me along the way."

"Can you give me any hints to help me along?" I asked feeling really confused how this agreement even happened.

"Nope. You have to work it out on your own." He said with a shrug.

"I still don't know if I believe you." I said.

"Well we will have to find out won't we?"
