Outside of the school, at the plate of stair near the entrance, Twilight was pacing back and forth, trying to come up with a solution to their problem.
"That was a pretty bold but stupid move, Vira" Sunset stated and refering to her almost exposing her magic.
"I'm sorry, but you know what? No. No, I'm not sorry. I spoke the truth to those students." the tone in her voice was strong but not a hint of regret. "I have litterally no control on my magic. I've seen wars and so much much hate and malice back where I'm from, I couldn't just sit there and let them fight amongst themselves. I had to say something."
Twilight's eyes widened in realization and founded her fist into her palm, "That's it!"
"What's it?" Vira ask
"When you spoke the truth, the students listened. Whatever you did, it somehow weaken the sirens hold on them."
"But, even so, I don't think it was enough to weak their spell." Vira stated
"What I don't understand is why we couldn't create the spark that would help us break the spell completely. That's how it worked when I was here."
Sunset Shimmer stepped in saying, "But to defeat me, you drew magic from the crown I was wearing. The sirens' magic comes from their music." she pondered, "So maybe you have to use the same kind of magic to defeat them."
Twilight shared a surprised looks and Sunset lowered her head in shame.
"Or maybe not."
Vira shook her head and hands, "No. I think you're onto something."
"Really?" Sunset smiled. Vira smile and nodded
"It's when you play music that you transform now, right?" Twilight ask
Applejack nodded, "Yup. Ears, tails, the whole shebang."
Twilight Sparkle continued, "So maybe the way to use that magic to defeat the sirens is by playing a musical counter-spell!"
Fluttershy was intrigued as she removed the hair from her left eye, "You mean like a song?"
"Uh-huh. And Vira can sing it"
Vira's eyes widened in surprise, "Me?!" She shook her head and hands really fast "Uhh..No thanks I'm just an extra member incase if the one girls get sick is and can't play, but I think Twilight sould Sing"
"Her?!" Rainbow asked, equally surprised. And slightly offended. "Like, as in, lead singer? Cuz that's usually my gig. This being my band and all."
"Relax, Rainbow it only temporarly plus it not your band " Ellie said
"She right Rainbow!" Applejack stated, "Twiligh is the one with magical know how to help us pull thang off"
Rainbow Dash tried her best to brush it off, "Okay, yeah, that's cool. I'll just use this as a chance to hone my already insanely good lead guitar skills." she said while playing air guitar.
"Our magic is more powerful when we're together. I know we can do this if we work together, right girls?" Vira ask the rest of the girls
The rest of the friends all nodded in agreement as the 6 of the girls happily giggled and cheered for Twilight, while Sunset Shimmer simply sat there, once again, feeling left out of the loop.
Twilight smile and gave a dermine expression "All right then. Now, in order to fully free everyone who's been exposed to the sirens' spell, we'll need them all to hear it."
The girls all pondered together, thinking on ways to get the entire student body to hear their song. That's when Rarity stood up gasping. "The band competition! That's the next time we can be certain everyone will be in the same place at the same time."
"Guess the Rainbooms are the band to beat." said Applejack as she smiled at Rainbow Dash, who returned the gesture.
Pinkie Pie appeared next to Twilight unexpectedly, "So what do you wanna play? Triangle?" she asked while playing a triangle, "Sousaphone?" she blew on the instrument so hard it made Twilight's hair bellow in the wind. "Theremin?" she played the instrument's haunting melody. "Soooo magical." she said dreamily.
"I might take a little too long to learn how to play something with these." Twilight said while wiggling her fingers
"Well, okay, whatever. Now, let's get to learning that musical counter-spell!"
"Well, that's just it. We don't know any." Twilight confessed. This caused the rest of the girls to grow depressed.
"Awww "
"But I'm sure we could figure out how to write one."
Spike walked up to Twilight, tapping her leg with his paw. "Totally! Twilight can write a spell like it's nobody's 's pretty much how they got to become princesses."
"Technically, I helped finish a spell." Twilight stated, "And there was a little more to it than that, Spike."
"Yeah, whatever."
Noticing the slight worried expressions on their faces, Twilight smiled with all the confidence she could master. "I got this." she said before picking Spike up in her arms and started walking back to the entrance of the school. "C'mon!"
"Where you going?" Vira asked.
"Well, last time we were here, Spike and I spent the night in the library."
"Oh...yeah ." Vira and Ellie said in unison remembering that Twilight wasn't from around here. Pinkie Pie appeared and hugged the Twilight and Spike so tightly, they almost couldn't breath.
"Are you crazy?! We're besties now! Slumber party at my house!"
Judging the smiles on their faces, it was clear that a slumber party was a great idea!
MEANWHILE WITH ELLIE, TWILIGHT, SPIKE, AND SUNSET
Before the slumber party, Sunset led Ellie, Twilight and Spike to her place, which in reality was a small apartment room. The place didn't have much, minus for Ellie and Vira's clothes and books and two beds room. There was some kind of stones and gold coin on the desk.
Twilight always 'I did always wonder how Sunset managed to live in the human world for so long without a place to stay, but I guess she made herself a pretty decent living considering she looks rich.'
Ellie notice Twilight around the room then the desk which had the gems and coin she shook her head if she somehow read her mind "Twilight just to let you know those Coins and stone belong to Vira and I. The rupee are about $200 while the gold is wroth $1,274.58" Ellie explain as Twilight and Spike looked surprise "If those are worth that much, then why didn't you use them to get a bigger place?"
"We just mostly use to help Sunset with the bills and our needs. Plus, Vira kind of like this little apartment." Ellie said then turning her attention to Sunset
"So, what did you want to talk to us about?" Ellie asked.
Sunset Shimmer fiddled with her hands nervously, unable to look at them both in the eye. "I wanted to talk with you both before letting the others to know about this."
"Know about what?" Ellie ask while Twilight and Spike waited for an explanation
"Well about what you said. About me liking Vira more as friends."
"Yeah, what about it? " Ellie ask gesturing Sunset to continue
"Well... you were right" Sunset Shimmer said hesitating
"I knew there was someting going on between you two! I'm so happy for you!" Twilight exclaimed hugging Sunset, "But, why didn't you tell Vira about your feeling."
While Twilight was talking, Ellie and Spike started doing a little happy dance in the background
"No, Vira doesn't know about my feelings for her. I don't know how excatly to tell her" Sunset explain then they saw Ellie still doing her happy dance they mange to get her to stop.
Twilight turned her attention back to Sunset, "Do the others know about your feelings?"
"Yes. Pinkie and Rarity found out first then I told the other next. I was afraid to tell them knowing Rainbow would make a comment. But they were supportive of me and try to encourage me to ak her out on a date, but I either chicken out or something get in the way." Sunset said smiling but then frowing at the last word
"Why" Twilight and Spike ask curiously
Her cyan eyes locked eyes with Twilight as she immediately got on her knees, covering her face in shame.
Twilight and Ellie both kneeled beside her but Sunset stood back up, not even looking at either one of them.
"Because, I can't do it. No matter what I do, I don't I have the courage to tell her. I can still see myself as a monster! I don't want to hurt her, I don't want to think I'm still the same girl I was in the past. what if she doesn't like me?" She was clouded with thr visions of her past monstrous self
"Look, I know I have some problem with Vira dating someone who will hurt her, but I seen how you treat her and that makes me happy. I know I can trust you if you ever date her. You change Sunset, and I think Vira see that. Vira isn't that type of person to see of what people did in the past but what will they do to change it." Ellie said to Sunset
"She's right," Twilight began, "You may have made some bad mistakes in the past, but you survived that. You can create a new path for yourself, even if you're still scared. Don't worry knowing Vira she will love and will still be your friend" Twilight said putting her hand on Sunset while Ellie and Spike smiled at her
"Why don't we put this all aside and have some fun tonight? Beside Vira forgot to pack her clothes for tonight " Ellie suggest as they pack the close they need
"I'd like that." said Sunset laughing about Vira forgetfulness and slowly smile and all of them leaving the appartment to go to Pinkie's house
