If I owned Pirates of the Caribbean I wouldn't be writing this now, savvy? Any familiar character belongs to Disney, so any unfamiliar character belongs to me:)

It was only an hour later when Will returned, accompanied by two marines but his wrists free from irons. He quickly made his way over to the cell that held Victoria and Elizabeth

"You. Turner", one of the marines said as he unlocked the door, "Get out of there."

Victoria looked from the marine to her brother to Elizabeth and back, confused at the statement but she didn't say anything, if she was allowed to get out of the cell she would take that chance.

"Will, what happened?", Elizabeth asked as Victoria stepped out of the cell and stood next to her brother.

"Beckett wants me to get Jack's Compass."

"Jack's Compass?", Elizabeth said, "What does Beckett want with that?"

"Does it matter?", Will said as he grasped her hands through the bars, "I'm to find Jack and convince him to return to Port Royal. In exchange, the charges against the three of us will be dropped. And Victoria will join me"

"No", Governor Swann said, "We must find our own avenue to secure your freedom."

Will looked up at the Governor, "Is that a lack of faith in Jack or in me?"

"That you and your sister would risk your lives to save Sparrow's does not mean that he would do the same for anyone else."

"Then you don't know Jack, sir", Victoria said as she straightened up, "Jack may be a pirate but he would risk his own life safe us. As he has done in the past. When we returned from Isla de Muerta he could've hidden, but he didn't. He knew fully well that if he returned with us he would face the noose."

"And Victoria here is probably one of the few people in the world that Jack might listen to", Elizabeth said as she looked up at her father, "If I have faith in the both of them, so should you."

"They are not the ones that are behind bars!", the Governor said before he sighed, "Now, where's that dog with the keys?"

As the Governor walked away to find the dog, Elizabeth placed her hand on Will's face and looked him into his eyes.

"Where will you two find him?"

"Tortuga", Will and Victoria replied at the same time.

"Tortuga", Victoria repeated, "If you want to find a pirate in the Caribbean, Tortuga would be the best place to start. Everyone knows Jack."

Will nodded in agreement, "We'll start there and we won't stop searching till we find him. And then I intent to return here to marry you."

"Properly?"

"Eagerly", Will said as he pressed his lips to his fiancé's hand, "If you'll still have me."

"If it weren't for these bars, I'd have you already."

A sudden loud noise made the three of them look up, the Governor was holding a candle in his hand before he threw it on the floor.

"Will, we should go", Victoria said, "We need to find a way to get to Tortuga."

Will nodded without looking at her.

"I'll wait for you", Elizabeth said as she clung to Will's shirt.

"Keep a weather eye on the horizon", Will whispered softly before he stood abruptly and grabbed Victoria's arm and marched out of the cell block.

"So, what's the plan", Victoria asked as she hurried after her brother.

"First we go to the shop and get everything we need from there, weapons, provision, gold. Then we find a ship that will take us to Tortuga."

Victoria thought it over for a minute, it actually sounded like a good plan. For once her brother thought first before he acted. "Sounds like a good plan. You know, I can't wait to leave this town. "

They'd managed to get passage on a trade ship that would leave the next day. While the captain wasn't too happy about passing Tortuga, the pile of gold that Will and Victoria handed him was enough compensation for him to take there. Apparently Will had taken some of the treasure from Isla de Muerta and stowed it away for an emergency. And this definitely counted as an emergency. It took them almost a full day to reach Tortuga. By nightfall they saw the town appear on the horizon. Two of the crew members rowed them ashore after which they quickly turned around and as soon as they were back on board the merchant ship sailed away.

"Well, I guess they are not a fan of this place", Victoria said as she watched the ship sail away.

"We neither am I", Will said as he started to walk towards to town, "It smells even worse than the last time we were here."

By the time they got to the town the moon was already high in the sky and drunken sailors were laying on the streets. Once glance at each other and they knew that they wouldn't be able to get any information about Jack from these man. Deciding to find a tavern to sleep and try in the morning.

They walked across the town for a larger part of the day but no one had seen or heard of Jack Sparrow in over a month. One man told them he'd heard Jack was dead, he seemed sad that Jack still owed him money that he wouldn't get back. They also got slapped by several whores when they asked them about Jack, it seemed like Jack wasn't too popular with the women at the moment. On the second morning they finally got some sort of lead.

"Can't say about Jack Sparrow, but dere's an island north of here, where I traded spices for… mmm, delicious long pork", the man said as he repaired his fishing net, "Cannot say 'bout Jack, but you'll find a ship dere, a ship wit' black sails."

Will and Victoria glanced at each other, they only knew of one ship with black sails, the Black Pearl.

"How can we get there?", Victoria asked the man.

"Me brother will sail there t'day, he could take ya dere."

Will and Victoria thanked the man for his information and walked towards the ship he had pointed out that could take them there.

When the island came in view they couldn't see much of it, it had a small beach and a large amount of trees that covered the rest of it. The highest point of the island must have been thrice as high as the Pearl's mast.

"Look", Victoria pointed to a ship that came into view, it looked like it was stranded on the beach, "You think that's the Pearl?"

Will took out a spying glass and looked at the ship, "I believe it is, it's hard to see but it looks like it has black sails."

"Then Jack can't be far, he wouldn't leave her behind."

"My man will take ya ashore", a voice came from behind them. They turned around and saw that a longboat was being prepared for them. When they got into the longboat Victoria couldn't help but to be a bit nervous. She hadn't seen Jack in almost a year. How would he be, would he still recognise them, her?

The man that'd rowed them towards the island suddenly stopped and looked at them.

"What's wrong?", Will asked, "The beach is right there."

The man started talking quickly in a language neither Will or Victoria understood.

"I guess we'll have to swim, brother", Victoria said, "Doesn't look like he will go any closer"

The siblings stood up, dove into the Caribbean water and started to swim to the island. It was actually further away than Victoria had thought and soon her arms started to hurt. When she felt sand underneath her feet she started wading the last bit, glad that she could rest her arms now. While Victoria took her time to get ashore, allowing the sea to just flow around her calming lapping her wet breaches. By the she'd reached the beach, Will was already walking around the ship, looking for any sign of life.

"Jack!", he shouted, "Jack Sparrow! Marty! Cotton!"

"Will", Victoria said as she walked up to him, "I don't think anyone's up there."

Suddenly something rustled in the bushes up ahead and Will and Victoria both unsheathed their swords. Then a bird flew out, Cotton's parrot.

"Ah. A familiar face", Will said as he recognised the parrot.

"Don't eat me", the parrot squawked, "Don't eat me."

"Well, we know that Cotton is here", Victoria said as she extended her hand to the parrot to scratch his head, "Let's look in that direction."

She pointed to the bushes where the parrot had come from.

Will immediately started moving in said direction and Victoria sighed, her brother was in a hurry and that would mean that he would act before thinking.

"Do you want to come?", she asked the parrot as she patted on her shoulder.

"No. Don't eat me", the parrot responded before it launched itself into the air and flew towards the Black Pearl.

"I guess that's a no", Victoria mumbled before she ran after her brother.

When she caught up with him he was holding something in his hands, stepping closer Victoria recognised it as Gibbs' canteen.

"It's Gibbs' ", he said, before he started following the string that was attached to it.

"Will", Victoria called as she walked after him, "I don't think this is right. Why would Gibbs leave his canteen behind and tie a string to it?"

As she walked she noticed a movement from the corner of her eye.

"WILL, STOP!", she shouted but it was already too late. Will pulled on the string and was flung into the air. He dangled upside down . Immediately people appeared from the bushes around them, sharp sticks in their hands. Will pulled his sword as he tried to scare them off, but before any of them could get close he suddenly collapsed, a small feather was sticking out of his neck.

Victoria raised her hands up in the air when the men turned to her.

"Parley?", she said before something sharp stung in her neck and suddenly everything went black.

A/N: So I went to see Salazar's Revenge the other day and I was kind of disappointed. Oh, the classic PotC flair was there but there were several things that were just wrong and made the story line confusing for me. Still, Jack Sparrow on the big screen in 3D is awesome ;)

A/N2 Thanks for reading, I'd love to hear from you guys what you think of it!
