Three years after the war Hermione Granger has completed multiple masteries and begun work on magical inventions involving time and mind magic. Narcissa hires Hermione to help investigate a question that has been haunting her since the Battle of Hogwarts "Why did Bellatrix end up the way she did?". As the investigation progresses it becomes readily apparent all is not as it seems.

In the weeks leading up to the first task, Harry took a more studious role in preparing for the coming conflict with a dragon. When he invents a method that results in the Horntails death, the consequences snowballed in ways nobody could have predicted. He could see the reasoning. If your champions steamroll through dragons, it's best to up the difficulty. Bring it on.
