A/N: Thank you to everyone who came back to this story. I know it's been what...4 years? I've been a tad obsessed with it since Friday morning even writing 3 more chapters this weekend.

There's not much to this chapter, but the next one will bring in the next round of action. It's finished (as of Friday night LOL) and I'll post it by the end of the week. Enjoy!

They came home in silence much the way they always did. Regina was starving when they got in the house. She went to the kitchen for a cup of yogurt. She was leaning against the counter eating it when Robin came in.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

She didn't, but they had to. She set her cup down, placed the spoon in it.

"I want that little girl." She saw a faint hint of a smile on Robin's face.

"Ok." He nodded firmly. "So do I." Regina smiled. She was sure it was the best thing he'd heard her say in months.

"But the other…." She looked down at her abdomen. Inside of her, there was a second, smaller child who was struggling with its bigger sister to survive. It needed her. But the idea of a son with Sidney, Sidney's son…..

"If it's a boy, I don't know." She looked at Robin nervously. He took a step towards her. He reached his hand out, resting on her stomach.

"But it might be a girl. Another little girl. Or better yet," his eyes held hers, "it might be my son." Regina's smile widened.

"The idea that it is smaller makes me want to fight harder to protect it-regardless of the father."

"That's because you're a good mother." Robin rubbed his fingers over her stomach. Regina's hand reached down, covering his.

"I'm going to feel awful if these are our children-."

"They'll never know, and they'll love us regardless." Robin frowned. "I am a bit concerned about that little one. But I bet he or she will be just fine in a few short months."

"Let's hope." Regina hated the dark thought in the back of her mind...that regardless if this child survived she would take it to an orphanage in Boston if it was Sidney's. She didn't want anything to happen to it, but she couldn't raise it either. But she wasn't saying that to Robin.

Regina pushed open the door of the baby store. Immediately, she stepped inside and looked around. She stood just inside the doorway for a moment, resting her hand lightly on her stomach. She could do this…she was going to buy baby things.

Now that she knew she was having a girl, that narrowed things a bit. She would just buy herself a lot of girl attire in the hopes the second baby was also a girl.

She knew everyone was thinking it, but hadn't said it. She hadn't said it either. But if the other baby was a boy, she was giving him up. There was no choice otherwise.

She shared a few words with the store's owner before she let herself be taken in by the baby attire around her. There were dozens of things, and she could have spent a fortune.

The problem was she couldn't decide on anything. In her hand, she held what she knew to be an adorable blue and white sundress. But she couldn't decide on it, she couldn't make the commitment to purchase it.

"I don't understand how you're not buying everything in this store," a familiar voice spoke behind her. Regina turned, seeing Maleficent standing behind her. Regina sighed heavily.

"I just…can't decide."

"I understand," Maleficent told her knowingly. Regina frowned, but Maleficent smiled. "Everything is so adorable, I wouldn't know where to start either."

Regina was pleased the topic didn't need to be pushed further. She simply watched the other woman as she began moving through the racks.

"What are we looking for?"

"Everything." Regina picked up a sleeper. It was pale pink, with tiny white bunnies on it. The feet topped off in white bunny faces, Regina smiled.

"You can't pass on that." Maleficent handed her a package of blankets.

"I suppose I can't." Regina had a sudden fear the second baby would be a girl, and she'd only have one bunny sleeper. She reached behind it on the rack for a blue one with lambs. She couldn't justify buying identical until she knew.

Shortly, she'd acquired a collection of dresses, sleepers and blankets. She was ok with that. She'd go that far, and stop herself.

Then she saw the lamb.

It was the most adorable, cuddly stuffed creatures she'd seen in years. It sat on a shelf next to a collection of picture frames. When she picked it up, she was sure she felt the babies move.

"It's beautiful," Maleficent handed her another handful of clothes.

"Yes it is." Regina squeezed the lamb.
