Alyssa soon had started working as Emmy's nanny. Not only did Emmy like her but so did the brothers. On Alyssa's first morning, Will and Jay were both rushing as they both overslept and were late for work. Alyssa came over to help calm things down in the Halstead household.

The young woman had made breakfast for Emmy and proceeded to make the young girl's lunch. She made Will and Jay each a thermos of coffee and when they finally came down dressed with their work gear Alyssa met them with the coffee.

"Thought you guys could use these," She said with a smile.

"You're a lifesaver Alyssa" Jay tells her.

"Thank you. My shift ends hopefully at 9 tonight, I should be home a little after that" Will advises her.

"Homework will be done, checked, and she will have had dinner. Is there any food she's allergic to?"

"Emmy hadn't said anything"

"I can't have nuts or shellfish" Emmy chimes in.

"No nuts or shellfish" Alyssa confirmed.

"We gotta go, Em, we'll see you tonight"

The two brothers kissed their sister's head and left. Alyssa grabbed Emmy's backpack and lunch bag and the two girls had left out. The young woman had taken the youngest Halstead to school, Alyssa's school was out for break and that's when she picked up work.

Alyssa had arrived at Emmy's school and the youngest Halstead hopped out. "Bye Lyssa"

"Have a good day at school kiddo" The young woman told her with a smile.

Emmy ran inside just as the bell rang. She hated school, the kids always made fun of her, called her names. She tried to block it out and ignore them all out and focus on her work.

When she got to her homeroom she was tripped by one of the bullies, she got up and shoved the boy back. All the kids, 'ohhh'd' The other kids gathered around in a circle watching Emmy and the boy, Riley. If it was one thing Emmy wouldn't take was bullying, she took more than enough from it from her father. She wasn't taking it from a kid her age.

Emmy stood her ground. "Bring it Barbie boy"

"Look here Halstead, you can't do that to me" Riley sneered at her.

"And you can't do that to me"

"I run this school, I can do whatever I want"

"You don't run anything, you're just an arrogant dick bag"

The boy went and threw a punch, Emmy dodged and she grabbed his wrist and twisted behind his back. If she learned anything from her father was how to fight. She kept a tight and firm grip on his wrist.

"I suggest you not do that again, you understand me?"

"Let me go!"

"You gonna leave me alone?"

"Fine! Get off me!"

Waiting a few minutes she had eventually let him go. Riley grabbed his now sore wrist and rubbed it as he viciously glared at her. Emmy still had stood her ground not backing down.

"This ain't over Halstead"

"I think it is"

Soon the bell rang and the teacher came in and began the roll call. Riley kept his eye on Emmy, he would get his pay back. One way or another.
