Home chapter three: Building a home where you are only welcomed

I'm going to focus on this story only for now. A big thank you to Shadowbridger for adding this story to your alert list. There's so many of you that were following this story and too had it on your favorite list as well. I'm sorry if I pissed anyone off but, I had to do what I did for many reasons and I think as the story goes on you will understand. The good thing is I'll be uploading daily if possible at least a chapter.

The next two months the officers on base will be taken their holiday by returning to their homeland for two weeks then returning to base. Col. Lennox is leaving today and headed back to Colorado to spend with his family, wife and baby daughter Annabelle who in a few days will turn five years old. Ironhide had left the base with Lennox in the past to go to Colorado with him but the reason no longer exist and Ironhide is forbidden to leave the base. Ironhide drove down to the airstrip to see Lennox off and give him a box for Annabelle's fifth birthday. Annabelle reminded Ironhide of his little girl Staylie. She was very little when Ironhide was chosen by Optimus to lead the exploration to find the cube about a century ago. The officers that do not leaving today will carry on with their daily reports and duties. The bots have been for the last few days digging trenches where they are going to lay pipe for water, sewer and electrical. Ironhide and Optimus are now working with Jason, Tom, Laura, Robert and about eight others who are apart of the maintenance team for the base. Last week they started out on the east end of the island laying out the road leading into the subdivision being built. Each building will be one story with 127, 563 thousand square feet each. There will be 10 built and the only bots that will be sharing one together will be Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. The buildings that are being built now can be configured to house more bots later if any more come. There will be two buildings per street. It's large on a human scale but not to the bots. The final report on the blueprints is estimated to take up to eight months to complete.

While this was going on, General Moreshower has been talking to Lennox's' second in command Sgt. Robert Epps for the last ten minutes so, let's listen in.

Gen. Moreshower is speaking now,

"Our NATO alliances have now passed a vote of no confidence meaning they are not welcome to stay here on earth. I have read about the software that Autobot Wheeljack is creating and it is my understanding it would be able to detect any Cybertronian signals is that right?"

Epps responds," Yes sir, I talked to Wheeljack this morning and they have always been able to detect each other. They have a fingerprint but it's a frequency that identifies them. Wheeljack is writing the software to program several satellites already in obit to detect those frequencies."

Gen. Moreshower speaks again,

"Well, that will be I hope be useful in the future. I know this has been hard on all of you guys and gals. Believe me, I hear my self talk in my sleep and I wake up every morning trying to answer those same question the world is asking me. Sargent, how is the progress of the build there on the base doing and tell me the estimated time to finish it."

Sgt. Epps answers, "Yes sir, eight months to one year the big guy told me the other.. day."

Robert heard some noise outside his office briefly then he turned back around to the Tv screen.

Gen. Moreshower says, "Sgt. Epps, is there something wrong?"

Sgt. Epps replied, "No sir, I just sent word to Prime that you and I are having a conference and he should be at his communication hanger in two minutes."

General Moreshower, "Thank you Sargent I'll wait for the video to come up."

Epps, "Yes sir, it shouldn't be long I just heard him drive by heading that way."

Optimus was on his way to his communication hanger or A.K.A. his command center. But, first he stopped at the fire station to get rinsed off. Optimus had ran all the way over to the fire station then transformed and haul-assed to the command center and that was the sound Epps heard outside his office window.

Video came up with Optimus standing next to Ironhide.

Optimus starts to speak, "Afternoon General, I was not aware that you called."

General Moreshower replies," I knew you and the other Autobots were busy this week. I was getting some information on the progress of the project but, since you are here I want to inform you that our NATO alliances gave a no vote of confidence. But, I have spoken to the France Prime minister of defense and he assured me that he is aware of the alliances we have had with you and your soldiers from the beginning. I spoke also with Great Britain's Prime-minister Kelly Baldwin just two hours ago and she said that in two months there will be the annual meeting of the commonwealth countries. But, the only thing she could promise me was that when she held her private meetings with several of the leaders from those commonwealth countries she will tell them about the alliance that has already been there between Great Britain, United States, France and many other countries with the Autobots for years. But he did tell me that while our nations have worked together for better than a century, at this time my government or it's people are not ready for the public acknowledgment of their presents. Prime I have always been up front with you and I never lied to you or try to sugar coat anything. So, I will make this short we have now loss alliances with 14 countries because our President has decided that you and your officers will remain there on the base. The only countries that acknowledge the alliance with you and your team the US, Great Britain and France and they are the ones sending the supplies and resources there to the base to help build your base. But I'm sorry, beyond that there is nothing else I can do."

Optimus gave a nod and then he spoke, " I understand General Moreshower and would you please tell your President and the other leaders spread around the globe we will respect their decision. As you know you and I have built a level of respect over the years and I have been truthful with you over the years about everything I know about the Decepticons. I can't change what happened in fact no one sentient being can change the past or what has happened. The one difference is yes our size. We know this world is not going to accept us, maybe never. The sheer destruction and death that our war has brought upon your world is a regret we, the Autobots and I will live with forever. We have a family structure just like your kind So, this is my question. If any of my fellow Autobots should ever make it to this universe will they be allowed to land here at this base?"

The General had s great deal of respect for Optimus because like himself Optimus has people that look to him as well. But the longer it took for the General to answer him the more Prime started to doubt.

General Moreshower finally after a moment of thought replied to Optimus,

"You have told me this several years ago that other Autobots might be coming to Earth now that they know you are here. I remember that and at that time I said yes, just pass it by me first so that I can get the word out to the right people. But, We live in the twenty-first century and cameras are everywhere and social platforms serve billions of people a way to post or write about anything. Now, if there is some way that the software he is developing can tell us how many days or several hours away from their entrance into our obit then I'll do my damnest to sale the farm if you get my meaning."

Prime thought for a moment and General Moreshower saw the look on Prime's face. Prime doesn't know if any other Autobots had survived but, he could only hope. Optimus stood there sort of relieved and deep down he knew the General will supported him and his officers.

Optimus answers, "Yes General, the information that software reveals can be given to any NATO nation that requires detail of who they are and where they are. It's how we identify each other"

General Moreshower then said, "So you are telling me it's like a ID card reader?"

Prime replied, "yes, it is."

A few minutes later the subject changed and the General then wanted to know about Bee who had been with Sam in California since they arrived here on Earth years before.

Now General Moreshower is speaking,

"Prime, about your Autobot Bee, there in California have you heard from him?"

Optimus, "Yes, I have read the letter Sam Whitwickey sent me last week. The boy now has a really good job and he lives now in Malibu, California. Bee has remained in the garage at Sam's new address."

General Moreshower speaks, "The boy Sam, he has been through so much for a young man. Maybe he can be of help, maybe you can talk to him and see what he thinks. But, what ever Sam thinks he can do please pass it by me first. Prime I'm being told I have a call so, we will talk again Prime. Moreshower out."

Optimus replies," Yes, Prime out."

The video link ended and Optimus and Ironhide just turned and looked at each other shell shocked but, maybe they can began to have a little hope.

Optimus spoke to Ironhide, "Hide, I'm not telling the others anything yet it's just to early but, I hope this really does work."

Ironhide replied, "Prime, I feel it will in time."

they both nodded at each other, then left out of the command center and went back to work on the main road leading into the complex.

Several weeks later and it was close to Christmas. Today, Tuesday December the 14th Wheeljack reported to Prime around ten o'clock this morning and told him that the software he has created has been adapted for the humans to use and it is ready for trial run. The program can use the existing satellites to detect a certain frequency that identifies that Cybertronian. They were in the command center with Lennox's' communication specialist Kevin Nelson and Col. Lennox both were on the catwalk. Now that command station was designed for it to be a joint communication center where both bots and the humans can have top secret communications with the General or other high ranking officials.

Lennox speaking, "So, Wheeljack you are telling me that if I get the go ahead with this program it can detect any Cybertronian?"

Wheeljack responds," Yes, the satellite can amplified the frequency signals that our internal chamber, that our spark gives off. Right now I can close my optics and receive that identifiable signal from every Autobot that are here in this room and the few others located down at the complex." Wheeljack said as he punched up all the information on each bot. It was revealing some for the bots even though they have been working with Lennox and he's team for years.

The program listed each bot on the island and their longitude and latitude. Complete called name, age, their internal Frequency signature, rank. Wheeljack had included at Prime's request Frequency DNA information of their families. It was to further ID them and any possible connection to other Cybertronians if any came. The Autobots know that they would out last the humans and have been born before any of humans existed here on this planet. So, having a home isn't just that, they wanted to coexist with the humans. Their intelligence could not only rid this planet of cancer, and so many other deathly disease but of so many other plaques and problems. However, Prime would not allow his fellow Autobots to interfere with the path of their fate in such a way that alters the balance of their natural life.

Okay, I leave it here where Lennox and his team continued having a meeting about the program with Optimus and his team. I return a couple months after the first of the year. They will have some of the buildings already started and one or two will be finished. The first one will be an under ground vault and it will store there weapons and ammo that they no longer have use for and it will be sealed. The second one is a full scale medical facility so that Ratchet can have all his medical equipment in the same place. The Autobots and the maintenance crew having now been waiting for more supplies and it's been already now a little over two weeks and they are concern if the project will be completed on time.
