Glad to hear you enjoyed seeing more of Juliana's Childhood at least… I did shown a bit with the Rosa/Nate stuff back in Like Mother, Like Daughter but this marks the first time I shown her life in Hoenn as well….
I Swear that writing Juliana as a Mermaid really helps me get more attached to her… It's basically like the Scottish Trainer!Gloria Memes in a way….
Yeah, I had to included the Sada Journels as well (Even if I didn't mentioned Turo by name, I wanted to include it since it's basically the only hint/nod to the other Professor's Existance and it's easy to headcanon Sada/Turo refusing to speak about their Spouse to their Son (Or Heck, Maybe it's revealed Avern was a Wedlock Kid between them as well… N's adopted after all so it still fits…)
And I'm glad I did both Avern and Juliana justice at least…. I was worried I make Avern too OOC but I'm glad I did him well at least…. (Yeah, Avern's warming up to Juliana at least…)

I don't have a Favorite but if I had to choose at least 2, Then 1 (Juliana pulling a Ponyo with a love for Ham) and 4 (Adventures with Rosa) are my Favourites of the Four at least….

Chapter 9: Yeah, Mew's a Troll (And Amourshipper) and I figured it'll be interesting to see Ash and Serena get turned into Pokemon (I wanted to avoid the Usual Riolu/Fennekin for Ash and Serena so Froakies will do)
And Yes, Princess and the Frog was inspiration for this Fic as well (Same with Ash and Serena's Tongues being stuck together as well like Tiana and Naveen)
To be Fair to Arceus, he has to deal with Hoopa as well now that Giratina's no longer being his Angsty Vengeful Son (After what happened in Legends:Arceus) at least… So don't blame him for that.
Still, I'm glad you managed to find it enjoyable at least….

Chapter 10: Yeah out of the Three Fics so far… this is the one I'm the most excited to hear you talked about….
You actually raised some good points about Juliana and Avern's Relationship and I actually didn't realized it until you mentioned it…. Thanks for that! ;)
(That's actually the Magic of Reviews to writers, The Reviews can help pick up things they didn't do…Guess I got more Reasons to pair Juliana and Avern together since they both shared missing their Parents even if Juli's Dad tries his best to be there for her at least since his busy with work and Juliana being a Mermaid complicates things a bit as well)
Yeah, The Backstory stuff was something I wanted to do since Like Mother, Like Daughter with Juliana's Backstory and expand on some of it….
Also I was worried I made Avern too much of a Jerk but I'm glad I didn't at least.
Juliana's Family Tree isn't really a complex one… But I do plan on exploring her Mer-Tribe (I only shown some Adults so far… not the Kids) as well alongside her Childhood Friendships with Rosa and Nate (The Former especially since I planned for a Rich Kid (Rosa and Nate) and Normal Kid (Juliana) Dynamic for both of them at least…
(Also again, Juliana's uncle (Named Alvin) made an appearance in Scarlet Scales/Crimson Love when Geeta interrogated him for his Niece and Sister in Law's whereabouts BTW, So he's not new at least)

Yup Fic Number 2 of the Mermay Fics is focusing on Juliana and Penny (No Mermaid transformation for Penny however…) and it's another way to show some more Personality for Juliana beyond just being a Mermaid/Her Budding Romance with Avern… And While they'll be nods to the Latter in this Fic…
I'll be doing my best to develop Juliana as much as Possible at least with Expanding on Penny as well… And Fear not, Penny's not getting bashed just because she's Galarian….

Would any of you be ok if Metamorphosis would Feature Non Pokemon Characters being transformed into Pokemon?
Yeah, I have to admit, I know this goes against what I mentioned WAY BACK in Chapter 1/Fiery Love (AKA the Serena!Volcarona Fic) but I got some ideas to turn Digimon Characters in Pokemon like Mimi and Kari….
But are you ok if I include a Couple of Crossover Character TF Fics as well? (HOWEVER! THIS WILL BE PURELY POKEMON/MERMAID TF FICS AND THE THEMEING OF THESE FICS WOULD STILL BE POKEMON RELEATED AT LEAST….)

World of Pokemon, Paldea Region, Casseroya Lake, Nighttime, A Few Days after the Re-encounter with the Titan Tastugiri:
"Man! This is Great again!" Said Juliana with joy in her tone, As the Mermaid was currently swimming in Casseroya Lake with Quaval (Her Quaquaval Sister/Starter) and Tastu (Her Shiny Tastugiri Brother) and Koriadon with Penny by the Side with her Veevees next to her.
"You're really used to this Eh Juliana?" Penny questioned to her Friend as Juliana looked back to her with a Smile.
"Yup!" She answered back with some Palafin Clicks to her mouth as well, No doubt being in the Water is her Home Turf and it helps relax her down when she's worried/stressed.
"Still, Is there anything else you liked to do besides being a Mermaid?" Penny questioned back to her Friend as Juliana remained silent about this, No doubt Penny raised some valid points about herself….
"Why?" The Mermaid Questioned to her friend with a couple of Tail Fins Shakes form her body.
"Eh nothing, Just trying to not be so Shy at least…." Penny answered back to Juliana with a Shrug.
"I mean, You have to have something you loved besides the Ocean….And Water Type Pokemon…." She continued, as Juliana remained slient at this…
"Well, I do like Sweets and Plushes…." Said Juliana as she recalled the Times she spend with her Father when he was free form Work and she and her Mother visting him and Uncle Alvin on the Surface as well…
She does have a Wailord Plush that her Father Brought for her and Kept in her Room when she and her Mother are in their Human Forms and are staying for the night… And her love of Sweets are form when she and her Mother tried baking for the First time… (With her Father helping out as well)
She already can still remember when she took a bite out of the First Cookie She and her Mother made (Especially with it being Palafin Shapped as well and when she remembered helping cracked the Eggs for the Cookies with her Mother via her Father's Help.)
Another Memory she will try to her heart with she and her Family...
"Plus there's also gardening as well!" She continued as she recalled helping plant Kelp with her Mother and Milotic Aunt Athena...
She's does love Nature and while it's part of her Nature as a Mermaid But as A Hoennian Mermaid, She's more drawn to the Sea as well...
"...To be honest Juliana... I thought you'll be interest in the Gym Challenge like Nemona would..." Penny admitted to her Friend as Juliana let out a Palafin like Chuckle at this.
"To be honest Penny, I did the Gym Challenge out of suggestion for Nemona's sake... But I never expected I'll be pretty good at Pokemon Battles as well..." Juliana admitted with a Shrug.
Mermaids don't have the same Luxury of Adventure like Humans do but Juliana admitted the Gym Challenge wasn't her Thing even if it was interesting seeing other Humans do so...
"(True...Juli did pretty well for the Gyms.. Me and the Rest of the Gang before Tastu joined managed to do pretty well at least, Even Iono despite Clod being our only hope against her...)" Quaval added on as her Sister smiled back about this.
"Can't argue with that Quval..." Juliana added on while smiling in the Process.
"Even if being Champion Ranked isn't as Important as other Regions are... I'm still glad I experienced it at least Penny..."
"Well that make Sense…." The Galarian Girl said back to her Friend as she then took a deep breath for what she wanted to say.
"To be honest Juliana…. I think you and I are pretty similar when you think about it…." Said Penny as she smiled back to her friend. "We got Secrets to keep form others until we meet each other, Nemona and Avern at least…
"You being a Mermaid and Me being the Big Boss of Team Star AKA Cassiopeia...You know what I mean..." Penny continued with a sigh as she looked to Juliana as the Mermaid Smiled back to her.
"Had you moved to Paldea before Team Star was a Thing… I'm sure Eri and the others would have taken you in as a Fellow Member as well…. You Being a Mermaid would be a good reason to get bullied especially with how Mr. Harrigton and his Staff aren't as approachable or Reasonable like Clavell was…."
"I suppose…." Said Juliana as she smiled back to her friend as she rather not imagined what would things be like if She moved to Paldea before the Team Star Fisaco was done… She might have done like what Penny has said given Bullies according to her Father and Uncle then to take every opprtuntity to pick on you…
And being a Mermaid is something she likes and not be used against her….
"But still, Let's try not to dwell on that Past, Penny! We got each other, Nemona and Avern now! We're each other's Treasure like you and the other Star Bosses to look forward for the Future at least!" Juliana admitted as several Palafins clicks escaped her mouth as well when she said it.
"Thanks I guess…." Said Penny as she muster up another Smile for her friend… no doubt she never expected to see some kindred spirit between them and not just because they're foreigners in Paldea…
But like Avern, She and Juliana aren't so different when it comes to secrets even if Juliana's more Confident then her however….
'Maybe that's why Juliana has Feelings for Avern….She and Avern are similar when it comes to family...' Penny thought to herself as she banished her Embarrassment with her father while she looked to her Mermaid friend whom blushed when Avern's Name was mentioned….
"Quick Hide!" Said Penny as Juliana nodded back in agreement and Dived into the Lake with her Pokemon Siblings and Koraidon following Suit….
To avoid Juliana form being exposed as a Mermaid to other less trustworthy people.
Penny then prepared to try to act as Casual as Possible to avoid her Friend's Secert form being Exposed...
Until it was two of her Fellow Star Bosses/Friends approaching her.
"Yo Penny! What's up?" Questioned Giacomo as he and Atticus approached their Boss as Penny looked back at them.
"Oh Hey Atticus… Giacomo, What are you doing here?" Questioned Penny as the ex-Student Council President and Ninja of Team Star Approached her.
"Well, Atticus found something Cool and it's about Ancient Sinnoh, Well Hisui I suppose and he wanted to show it to you!" Giacomo admitted as Atticus approached her.
"Here it is my Lady….I found in the Tagtree Thicket while Training with Young Youseff... A Scroll I figured you may be interested in,,," Said Atticus as the Ninja handed Penny a Scroll as the Galarian opened it…
It was a Scroll with what appears to be Arceus and two Woman with both ladies having their Legs turned into either a Fish Tail and Cephalopod Legs while bathed in the Alpha Pokemon's Golden Light.
No doubt it was likely Ancient Hisuian Art as well…. And Likely related to Mermaids as well
"It's interesting Atticus… But can we talk about it Tomorrow at Eri's Star Base… I'm sorry, I'm a little busy right now…." She continued as she blushed a bit at this, No doubt her crush on Atticus showing as the Ninja notices his Boss's Look of Embrassement as she blushed back to him.
"No Problem Lady Penny,We'll dicuss this Art I found another time… Farewell to you until tomorrow at Lady Eri's Place!" Said Atticus as he and Giacomo looked back to Penny.
"Well Catch you later Big bo-I mean Penny! I got some Sweet Tunes for the STCs as well!" Giacomo admitted as he and Atticus soon left, Leaving Penny alone as she looked back to the Waters.
"It's ok now Juliana, You can come out…." She said as Juliana emerged form the Water with Koraidon, Tastu and Quaval by her side.
"Phew… Thank god that was over…." Said Juliana as the Brown haired Mer-Girl looked to her Friend. "I was worried I'll be exposed there at least…."
"(Agreed)/(Close one there indeed Juliana…)/Agias" Said Quaval, Tastu and Koraidon as the Three Pokemon nodded in agreement.
"So what's up?" Questioned Juliana as Penny then shown her the Scroll... Much to the mermaid's Surprise.
"Wait is that!?" Juliana admitted in shock as she looked back to the Scroll of Arceus and the Two Woman being turned into a Mermaid/Cecaelia on it….
It was something her Tribe has spoken of before… but this was the first time she seen actual proof of it…
Arceus being tied to the Merfolk is something of a Legend/Myth but now? It's the Genuine Truth before her….

Meanwhile, Mesagoza, Raifort's Apartment:
"This just in, Marco Cosmos has been broken into the Night before with a Mysterious Theif managing to wound the Security force of the Vault in the Former Rose Tower…." Said a News Reporter as she looked into the Screen and Spoke in front of the Camera to the Audience.
"Interestingly, the Only Thing stolen was the Pokeball containing the Darkest Day…With everything else remaining oddly intact however…."
"However, What Little Video Footage was captured shows that the Thief has used ancient Techniques and Smoke Bombs form Ancient Sinnoh Days but all know records are unknown about th-"
'Tch…. So far… Yet so close….' Cursed Raifort as she offed the TV in her Apartment, Relief that the annoying sound of the Television and looked into her own personal notes and documents about both the Treasures of Ruin… and the Merfolk that once originated form Ancient Sinnoh/Hisui…
Raifort admitted with a Scrowl as she rolled her eyes at the News, No doubt nothing good has every been on it in her opinion….
And it doesn't bother her as the Past/History was her obsession and now that the Wretch Boy Avern's Precious Parents: Professor Sada and Turo are long gone, She can focus full time on her research while enjoying her two Rivals being presumed Dead or Gone form whatever was in the Crater of Area Zero.
'Tch… How's it like to be gone form the Picture eh, Sada and Turo?' She sneered to her two Arch Rivals as she threw a Dart on the Pictures of the Two Paldean Professors with a sense of Spite in her tone and Movement….
Raifort never liked Sada and Turo given they took the Credit that rightfully belongs to her… Same with the Boy that produced…. He was someone she loathed with her heart about him…
Not helped with the New Transfer Student form Hoeen named Juliana showing some degree of affection between them…
'I know that Girl has something off to her… and I know just why….' She thought to herself while glancing at a Photo of the Hoennian Native taped next to Avern as Raifort knew Dendre (That annoying Gym Teacher) often has a habit of sneaking off when she's free to vist Tulip the Psychic Gym Leader whenever possible….
And with the Occurrences that happened near the Sea… And Juliana's little Exempted Form form her Dear old Uncle about Water Exercise means only one thing….
The Girl must be a Mermaid like Tulip's likely is (Something she tried to confront Dendre about but fail to do so)…
'Tch…. Guess who's getting the Last Laugh over some dumb pipe dream of Paradise eh Sada? You already lost when Turo left you the day your brat was b-"
However before she can rant even more about her former Rivals, She then heard a Knock on the Door… Which she scowled before rushing to the Door…
"Who is it…." She said as she opened the Door, To Reveal a Blond Man in Sinnohian Hiker Gear looking at her.
"Well, Well, Well….Miss Raifort… I been looking for you…." Said the Man as he smiled back to Raifort.
"What do you want? You're not a Salesman, Get out before I-"
"Uh-Uh-Uh! Wait a second there!" Said the Man as he looked back. "I got stuff I can supply your own gain at least…"
"Plus, I am curious about the Possible Mermaid you got there…." He continued as he glance towards the Picture of Juliana in the Room, No doubt he was talking about her.
"Tch.. and What makes you think I'll accept an offer form you?" Questioned the Dark Skin History Teacher of Naranja Academy as the Man Simply chuckled at this, no doubt aware this may happen….
"Would this do as a Bribe Miss Raifort?" Questioned the Man as he took out two Pokeballs…
And two rusted Weapons, A Sword and a Shield alongside them as well….
"They're all yours if you can help me find this Devine Tempest Trident..." Said the Main as he continued his smirk even more.
Despite the Pokeballs being normal, Raifort knew what the Weapons were…. An Ancient Weapon in the Galar Region to be exact…."
"Tch… Count me in…." Said Raifort as both she and her Visitor smirked at this, A Dark Alliance between them being born form this right now….As both their Fingers are crossed behind their back as they smirked back to each other.
"Good… Now tell me more about the Mermaid in your Academy… What she's like?" Said the Man as he glanced towards the Picture of Juliana….
A Dark Smirk appearing on his Face as he did… Malicous Intent already being planned for the Girl in the picture as his train of thought continues down it's dark path….

Author's Note:
Well, I have to admit, I noticed Juliana and Penny are pretty similar in my Mermaid Fics (Besides both of them being Foreigners form Hoenn and Galar Respectively studying aboard) and they both got Secrets to hid form others (Being a Mermaid for Juliana and Being Team Star's Leader for Penny)
And it's a Reason why I have Penny admitted Juliana would likely be part of Team Star in a way if she moved to Paldea earlier due to the Apathetic Staff and being a Easy Bullying Target due to being a Fish Freak (Trust me, Bullies LOVE to get a Reaction out of you, And it's not just simply ignoring them either…. Trust me, I know that form experience myself and the Interne bullying IS a type of bullying as well)
It's a random coincidence I know but I figured It'll work for the Context of this Fic…. (Plus, I don't want Avern to be Purely Juliana's Motivation however…So I need to have her interact with the others as well)
Plus, while I'm a pretty sour person when it comes to SwSh…. Penny's basically my way to make up for the Bashing of it in a way…. (Even if the Scene with Raifort and Volo undermines it in a way which I'll explain latter….)

You know, I noticed when I was writing Juliana, While she's not a Mary Sue (Again, Even if I Included those Merfolk Lore stuff and making sure she fits with said Rules and lore as well)… She doesn't have much Character personality….
So that's why I'm using this Chapter to help Develop Juliana a little bit with sharing her own Personal Interests beyond being a Mermaid by admitting she's a softy for Nature and she loves plushes and Baking as well...
Heck, For those whom watch Total Drama (Yeah, It got a Reboot Continuation now… Check it out when you can…Heard it's actually pretty good…), You may know how the Character Mike form the Revenge of the Island Season (And All Stars… but we don't talk about that Season for a Good Reason, Same with Pahkitew Island)
Mike is often know for his MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder) which while fine in his Debut Season… Took a Nosedive for the Worst with how it was handled in All Stars (AKA The Button) and also for Mike's MPD being Considered inaccurate/Offensive to ACTUAL MPD (Or DID (Double Identity Disorder) People)
So this is what I wanted to Avoid with Juliana as well…. Don't make being a Mermaid her ONLY Trait as well…. So I thought she has an Interest in Baking as well as a Sweet Tooth at least…

Now about the Scene with Volo and Raifort (Yeah, I'm going with Volo and Cogita being Immortal or at the very least have very long lifespans at least)
Yup they're going to be Antagonists for Juliana alongside Geeta and Rika in my Big Mermaid Fic Called: 'Pokemon Scarlet: Mermaid Legends' as well….
And as for the Devine Tempest Trident mentioned here? It's connected to Arceus and Volo desiring it to allow another Method to get Revenge on Arceus while Raifort's only interest in gaining it for herself… Even with Volo's Bribe of the Hero Duo as well as an Offer to ally with him…

AND BEFORE ANYONE ASKED, NO VOLO DID NOT KILL ANYONE JUST TO GET ETERNATUS, ZACIAN AND ZAMAZENTA… FOR MY MERMAID!JULIANA FICS, HOP AND THE SWSH PROTAGANIST (LEFT VAGUE FOR YOU TO DECIDE) RETURNED THE RELICS BACK AFTER ETERNATUS WAS CAUGHT AND SEALED AWAY….
However, Sworward and Shielbert tried to steal the relics for themselves only for volo to ambush them, dispose of them and take the rusted sword and shield for himself…. (The Them being Sworward and Shieldbert BTW, Hop and the SwSh Protaganist are safe however)
He also at some point found and stole some of Colress's prototype Colress machines and used them to forcefully make Zacian and Zamazenta listen to him (Not Shown yet but Volo has the Colress Machines slapped onto both Wolves's Foreheads to make them obey him no matter what)
Similarly (While not Shown as well yet), he found the Toxic plate (In my Mermaid!Juliana Fics, Dawn gave the Arceus Plates to Cogita and Enamorus after Fufilling Arceus's Mission and before she and Ingo returned to the Present Time which the Former then Scattered them throughout the World before vanishing to locations unknown…Which Volo stumbled upon while on the Run) and used it to Forcefully Control the Stolen Eternatus, Forcing it to Obey him and disabling it's ability to cause Dynamax to happen while boosting it's power to the Level of Giratina's)
